Vating had spoken too soon; the Decepticons had a couple of surprises they'd face before they'd be allowed to waltz on deeper into the caves. A groundbridge swirled open in the middle of the Vehicon's outpost, directly in front of Annihilator's menacing form emerging ahead of three Vehicon escorts. His four eyes fell on the Autobots in the room, and for a moment he almost seemed slightly startled to have faced red-insignia'd Cybertronians so immediately after arrival. And directly in front of him, a Predacon- a Predacon wearing no Autobot insignia, no less, leading him to believe that the Autobots were already engaged in combat with the Predacon. Annihilator activated his comms.
"Annihilator, joining engagement," he announced. Around him, the Vehicons took defensive positions; Annihilator, however, remained unguarded under the impression that they were reinforcing already present Decepticon forces. He wasn't aware that the Vehicon bodies strewn at his feet were the only present forces at the foremost outpost.

WheelSpin took a step back turning to look up, way up, at the new arrival. The four eyes were turned towards them. A smug smirk tugged at his lip plating at that small action. Not sparing a second, unwilling to miss the opportunity when the big decepticon's eyes were still turned in their direction, he used leverage in the form of one of several of the crates, leaping on them both to attract the Decepticon's attention as well as to get to higher ground.
Upon achieving that, his chassis was again turned directly towards the enemy, while his headlights - along the whole length - flashed at Annihilator's four eyes and anybody else looking. It wasn't the usual bright flash of light, that would perhaps feel annoying for the optics, that had just adjusted to the darker conditions of the cave. No, the flash had been closer to the sort that could, if exposed to it for too long, damage the optics permanently, but should it be a short flash, would have rendered them useless for a short while, without further consequence. That had also been his intention. Take the Con's eyes, so that fighting the big brute would have been at least a little easier.
Just as he did this his servo changed from the scatterblaster to the null ray. He would have fired it after the flash, aiming at Annihilator's faceplate - one - and then at his left arm - second shot. After that, whether successful or not, he would duck down - back over the crates he had climbed.

Hydraxion would see Annihilator and his body would tense up and flare a bit. A threating growl coming from him. He was becoming annoyed with all this fighting. He just wants to see whatever is down here and get his memories back.

Vating stared at the new Decepticon, Annihilator, arriving. He looked to his team and casually raised his rifle.
"Guys, open fire, sweep the entire room in ammo. They walked into a trap they aer for themselves."
With that, he held his shield in one arm and his rifle in the other. Firing at one of the new Vehicons.

Hydraxion would get ready to fire but, then freeze up and start getting a helm ache. His body flaring up as he is now is slight pain from the new sensation as small images flash through his mind. He doesn't recognize any of it but, it's causing him pain.

While above ground was swamped in the sounds of an newly kickstarted battle, the city was eerily silent with only the thunderous thumps from the battle and a constant hum filling the air. It was a tense moment as the twelve vehicons within the skyscraper facing the plateau below the hole to ground level aimed their weapons at the point of entrance. Each of them ready to fire at a moments notice from within their cover as they listened for the tell tale signs of the enemy nearing closer. Only the minute twitches of their frame was any hint to their tension as their commander laid in his sniper perch, his blood red visor hiding his optics as he continued to converse with his AI.
:I have succeeded in identifying the currently spotted enemies Shadow. Our current information depicts their line up to compose of Sparkflare, Vating, Wheelspin and Whitewash along with an unknown Predacon, though I have a few hypothesis on the cons potential identity.: The female AI said with a subtle certainty in her voice even as Shadow-Strike failed to show any physical reaction.
In response though the mech spoke a few moments later through his thoughts rather than using his vocals. :We can save the hypothesis for now. It's best to focus on what's known.:
:Understood. At current the highest threat appears to be Sparkflare, the current Maximus of the Autobot army.:
:Do we have enough on him for the algorithms?: He asked in response with a curious tilt of his head.
:Surprisingly using only this stream it is possible, though I would feel more confident with a look at other corresponding streams due to the mech's recent disappearance from the battlefields.: She said with a worried tone, the lack of recent information was troubling especially with the mech's high rank. :In fact much of our information from him is years out of date, though arguably still useable it must be considered the danger of using faulty information in the programmes.:
:Understood Aura, do you have a suggestions for what streams: The assassin asked with his head tilting back to normal.
:I would suggest stream U-1612310115 and R-082216. U-16 should provide a somewhat acceptable form of detail on Sparkflare's potential actions within earth's environment, while R-08 had the distinct advantage of being one of the iterations where Sparkflare survived the war. Him and many of the war survivors of that stream have detailed information and recordings of their battles, it may enlighten the extents of his outlier ability.:
:That sounds reasonable opening up streams.: Shadow-Strike told the AI as his frame shuddered for a moment before relaxing again as his optics went blank.
:Acknowledged. Compiling information for accurate analysis.:

The sand felt grainy. It got between his thick armor plating around his feet and ankles when he walked. It was much less sleek and clean than the all-metal environments he was accustomed to. His four eyes remained trained on the Autobot opponents until the moment Wheelspin's headlights went off, and in a knee-jerk reaction he rose his hands to cover his face with an annoyed grunt- in time to spare him a blast directly to the face by Wheelspin's null ray, but receiving both shots on his left arm. The thick armor was hardly phased, but had the black scorch marks on his crimson armor to show they'd hit. Annihilator shrugged off the effects while still blinded, only to find that one of his dominant arms wasn't functioning. Instinctively, Annhihilator used his two smaller arms to raise up the limp dominant left, using it as a shield and hunkering down until he could regain his bearings. He didn't know what weapon had been used to put the arm out of commission, but he knew he could prevent it from further debilitating him.
Meanwhile, the Vehicons had been more ready for the flash than Annihilator. In their defensive positions behind cover they'd only experienced residual effects of Wheelspin's headlights, and retained their eyesight. They weren't ready enough for one to be blasted in the chest by Vating, however. It fell back, clutching the wound while the other two returned fire on both Vating and Wheelspin. Unlike Annihilator, they'd reviewed the footage Shadowstrike sent in to the communication center. They knew Hydraxion, despite his badge, was teamed with the Autobots. The only reason they hadn't begun firing on him was because the Predacon hadn't targeted and attacked them.

As the hole was punched through the cover Sparkflare smirked as his cannons formed back into his back. This skirmish was soon to be won so the cannons were not needed for the time being. The mech then heard a voice behind him, he turned around to see Whitewash holding a sniper rifle. The mech mentally questioned as to where she had retrieved the weapon from, but that didn't matter. He gentley smiled as he reached for it, as his hand grasped the rifle he thanked the femme.
"Thank y-"
Sparkflare was then interrupted as a sniper round hit him on the cheek. Sparkflare was not expecting the shot. The impact of the bullet generated enough force for Sparkflare to fall onto the ground into the red sand as his optics turned black. From a distance it would look like that Sparkflare had been killed as the limp body tipped over a dune and rolled down a foot or two, getting sand all over the mech's body. However if one was smart enough to check for a spark signature, they'd see that Sparkflare was not killed, only knocked into stasis.
Minutes passed and Sparkflare's optics flickered back into action. The mech groaned as he ran his fingers around the damage on his cheek. It hurt. A lot. The mech clenched his hands a he began to get him self up off the ground. Sparkflare vented out as he was now up on his hands and legs. He heard the sound of gunfire coming from the over side of the dune. So reinforcements came along. Great. Sparkflare looked to his left as he saw the Decepticon sniper rifle. The mech grunted once again as he reached out for it and gripped it in his arms. Sparkflare remained on his legs and he shuffled his way up to the top of the dune. The Maximus peered over the dune to analyse what was going on before him. There was a 45 foot mech with a small group of vehicons. Sparkflare swore as he got the sniper rifle into position and aimed down the scope of the weapon. He initially was aiming at Annihilator, but Wheelspin was too close. It made sense how Skyspray shot Wheelspin. The small mech got in the way. He'd have to have a little talk with the speedster.
Sparkflare decided to move his aim at the Vehicons. He could've taken the shot on Annihilator, but the danger of hitting Wheelspin was too high. With Wheelspin's form of close range combat against larger opponents his promise to Empress to not make consistant trips to the medibay. At least he right in saying that there were others that he cannot control. He can't even control himself to make smart tactical decisions. A bot his size shouldn't be near a mech of Annihilator's size. Sparkflare aimed the rifle at the helm of a Vehicon and pulled the trigger. The round of the bullet fired out and collided into the head of the vehicon, causing the trooper to fall back dead. Now that the mech had fired, he slid back down the dune and began to run to the other end of the dune. Constantly changing posistions stopped the consistency of where the rounds are being fired from, hopefully decreasing his chances of being spotted.

WheelSpin kept ducked down behind the crates, shoots flying above his helm, some nearer and some further away from him. He saw Sparkflare get shot, but his attention was quickly back on the action. Sure they'd check for Sparkflare's well being as soon as the immediate danger was taken care of.
If he heard correctly, one of the vehicons was downed by a shot, possibly Vating's. That still left them with two Vehicons and one big brute.
His car door window rolled up. It was the one, specially reinforced and bullet proof. He peered over the crate, with the arm held so that the door was facing the enemy side, and the window was protecting his faceplate. Even so, when a few shots came his way he ducked down again. Some struck the window, and the material held.
Just as he'd assumed, two Vehicons were left alive, one was not as fortunate. There was also the big Decepticon hunched down.
Scratch that, there might have been a second kill.
He moved up again, peering through the hole in the crates. His null ray was briefly replaced by the gun that would fire acid pellets right at its target. He he used his rear mirror to see where he was firing, while one arm provided the other with protection in the form of the bullet proof glass. The second fired a salvo of shots at Annihilator. All acid pellets. He doubted that it would do too much damage, but hoped for annoyance at least. Maybe even enough to have the enemy move. He wanted a clearer shot at his faceplates or his legs.
After the second attempted salvo at the same target, his gun was replaced with the null ray again. Two shots, one actually aimed at the third vehicon, the second at Annihilator's lower extremities. Yet again, not waiting to see if any of it was successful, he ducked back behind the crates.

Vating waited for Wheelspin to finish his barrage of attacks, then would bullrush Annihilator. Annihilator was fifteen feet taller, though all of Vating's size went into his width and density. He aims to tackle Annihilator at the waist and throw the behemoth over. If sucessful, he'd let out his inner brawler and start throwing punches at Annihilator's face.
"Hey kid! You wanna lesson on why the Decepticons will lose this war in the end?"

Hydraxion would start coming back to his sense. Hearing laser fire and seeing a battle going on. He would shake his helm and slowly rise. Looking around and seeing the vehicon's firing at his allies. He would snarl and charge at them. Ready to make quick work of the drones.

From behind her crate, Whitewash judges who needs the most assistance and who can do without. Nobody needs her help especially, but what that means is that every vehicon's attention is on somebody else. She slips out from behind her crate and heads around the back way.
The drones don't notice her, not because she's quiet but because they're not paying attention. She creeps up on one and puts her harpoon through its neck.

The vehicons around Shadow-Strike struggled in the silence, minute jitters and shifts in their position betraying their emotionless faces as they waited aside the still form of their leader in an unsettling atmosphere. Shadow-Strike was to many Decepticons a fearsome mech known for his lack of tolerance for incompetents but also at the same time his willingness to sacrifice almost anything for the bigger picture. He rarely killed those who failed him, at least not personally, but more than one Decepticon under his command had found themselves remorselessly demoted and retrained under gruelling conditions until they at least partially met some of his standards. What was worse however to most was with his battlemask raised and the mist of war nearing closer the mech became almost entirely emotionless, showing a calculating and merciless presence that could remind every cybertronian that ultimately their kind where machines.
In the case right now that same eerie lack of reaction to the events above was a result of the current discussion going on in the mech's helm. His strategic mind almost utterly distracted by his A.I even with the humm of the gradually charging Nucelon Charge Rifle right aside him.
:Sparkflare has been analysed and catalogued for future notice. I shall now proceed to move onto the next highest known threat, due in part so i can attempt to determine their reactions as a group.: Informed the female AI as Shadow-Strike listened in, his physical body showing no reaction to her voice as she spoke.
:Proceed then, Aura.: The mech said, almost snapping in impatience at the explanation.
:Yes sir. At current the second highest known threat is Vating, due in part because current information suggests he was leading the expedition. Though our sound files may be mistaken due to poor quality after amplification used to detect the enemies preparations before the attack.: Aura stated sounding almost apologetic that her editing of files that had only been streamed a few minutes ago may have had faults. It was unlikely but possible that the amplification process after removing background noise had distorted the audio.
For a moment Shadow-Strike considered moving on, merely accepting the highly intelligent AIs opinion but the reality was even billions of years of refining espionage and information gathering wouldn't have ensured a playback of a vehicon's final moments would be able of capturing speaking from range. :How certain are you?: He asked with a deep sense of importance.
Only for the femme to respond almost immediately. :I am eighty three percent sure that the information I gathered is correct. On the matter of Vating the currently available footage of this battle has already helped shed some light on the mech and his fighting style. At current he appears to be a brute with some analytical thinking, further examination from the Nemesis ambush suggests his shield can be greatly altered to amplify his own durability which was shown during his survival of Operation Slingshot. I am currently still going through further data in this stream as well as R-082216 where he also survived the war.:
:Understood, the moment your done with him move onto Wheelshift then we can start dealing with the unknowns.:

When his vision returned to him two eyes came online, the other two remaining offline as reserve should the blinding flash be repeated. Armor shifted all over his chassis as he wound up for the first volley of return fire, even as he felt more null ray blasts strike his already-disabled arm. Hunkered down as he was, the lower half of his chassis wasn't exposed enough for Wheelspin to get a connection with anything else. The sight he'd opened his eyes to was one of brutal Vehicon dismemberment. On top of multiple blasts from the Autobots piercing their chassis and heads, turning his head to examine them he could see another Autobot positioned behind him, shoving a harpoon through one of the already-dead Decepticon foot soldiers. Their bodies were hardly recognizable as being Cybertronian. The Predacon's charge on the already-dead Vehicons' bodies shattered their shredded chassis into indistinguishable chunks of scrap, allowing Annihilator to now recognize him as an enemy, as well.
His tactics were already taking into consideration a significant disadvantage in number. Now, he had one more opponent to compensate for; it was time to begin his gradual retreat.
"I'm not interested," he answered Vating's taunt unceremoniously; he was too busy planning his withdrawal.
Vating's charge hardly made Annihilator budge from his defensive position, and knowing Wheelspin wouldn't risk disabling his own team mate at grappling range with his intended target, presumed he'd be safe for the time being from anymore attacks from that bothersome null ray. When the smaller mech started trying to punch him in the face, Annihilator simply stood at full height, almost out of reach of the Autobot, and began blocking the blows with his primary right arm.
Glue guns emerged from the armor in his shoulders and hips, taking aim. Those on his shoulders fired upon Wheelspin's gun and gun arm from over Vating's attack, while the ones on his hips aimed downward to target and fire upon Vating's lower chassis. Simultaneously, artillery cannons on either side of his knees fired shrapnel rounds at Vating's lower chassis. He always started with shrapnel rounds. Once the rounds had fired, the glue guns were concealed by armor shifting back into place, and Annihilator turned, side-stepping backward slowly with his left arm exposed to take the brunt of anymore incoming attacks from the Autobots in the back. Upon doing so, he found himself facing Whitewash, who perhaps should have stayed behind cover instead of closing the distance between her and the Decepticon. Outstretching his large good arm toward her, an artillery canon emerged from his forearm, and another with it on the back of his upper arm- the two firing simultaneously upon her to try forcing her back against the cavern wall, or to shred her armor; optimally, both. As he did so, the concussive cannon on his arm began to charge.

Vating never even bothered throwing the punches because Annihilator never fell over for him to even get up there. The shrapnel simply bounced off of his armor, with only a few pieces even staying into his plating. He got covered in some glue that seemed to not get off no matter what he did, thus he decided not to worry about it. He did, however, charge forward again, shoulder tap Annihilator to the right, and then activate his supports right next to him, all of which, extended out of him and attached him to the ground. Now he was even stronger, and even more durable, at the cost of some heavy mobility as he is now only capable of moving a few feet in any direction, wouldn't matter soon though. He decided that this child is a lost cause and grabbed him by the leg. Next, he would use the immense strength, enough to move most of anything that may ever need to be moved by cybertronians without an actual vehicle for them, to try to throw Annihilator into the wall in front of him. After that (if successful, of course), he would lower his back towards this poor Decepticon and fire all six missiles into the wall, right at him. They then began to slowly reload on their own as Vating got into a defensive stance and his supports were pulling back up into himself.
"Keep up the pressure everyone, don't let him escape!"

The first shot from the gluegun hit WS's gun just as it was pointed in his direction again, trying to get a good shot. Vating was in the way, so that was making it harder. The split second was lost, and the strange substance covered part of the gun and the mechanism around the arm. The next shot added another sticky layer while the rest would splatter over his car door shield as the arm shifted to defend both the weapon and its owner. The glue spread out over the clear glass, making the view through it more of a blur.
WheelSpin's first instinct was to reach out to push the foreign material off with his other servo, but something made him stop at the last second. Good it did. Had he reached to touch the glue, his other hand would have been attached to the gun as well. It wasn't acid though, this he could discern right away. It did not burn, did not bubble on his frame and seemed to just spread out more without harm done yet.
He did not want to risk transforming the arm at that time. Doing so could get some of the substance in between the alternating seams, which would be a pain to remove, plus anything underneath was more sensitive to the outside plating.
He shook the arm again, trying to see if he could shake the stuff off. The arm felt heavier but functioning in itself. "Frag..."
the front of the car door came into contact with one of the splattered pieces of Vehicon, and... stuck. Well at least he was certain what this was for and.. that he had to very much make sure not to get attached to anything else until he was sure it was rendered harmless.

Annihilator's aim is not so much off as it is fired at Whitewash. She is pressured backwards, but ultimately dodges away again, taking cover. It kind of does what he wanted, and she doesn't return fire, moving further away from him. There are more important threats than the lightly armed femme, especially since she doesn't return fire. Like the massive, hulking Hydraxion.
She maintains cover, and she isn't entirely silent, but there's so much else going on that she seems rather superfluous in comparison to the other mechs.
~~~
One of Shadow-Strike's Vehicons suddenly comes across one of the two Vehicons Whitewash has downed, and comms in, "Er, Shadowstrike, sir... we may have a slight problem... I've just found a 'con who's been killed. By which I mean, sir, from behind. By which I mean, sir... somebody wasn't paying enough attention..."
