Maybe she wanted to giggle, but Sky made no other indications that he'd do it. Years of concealing emotions had done some work so now, he did most things without showing too much strong emotions. Sometimes he did show them, of course, but usually there were just softer expressions. She was right that he was rather lost, he hadn't experienced anything just like this before. He was just there, enjoying it just like she did. As she pulled away, he smiled at her and put his servos on the counch next to him. His face showing that he was kinda drunk on love, just as she expected.
Yeah, we have duties to do, my gem. And it's not a toy, it is a highly advanced military plan. It will be our home too.
Sky said teasingly as he grabbed her waist and lifted her up, off from him and basically put her on the ground, chuckling as he did so. Seeing her so happy made him happy too, as he stood up after he put her down.

The femme let off a soft 'tsk' as she was set down, looking up at him only to fully realize his shere height that towered over her own. Well that was interesting.
"Alright, so what are my orders?" She placed her servos on her hips, smiling up at him as she patiently waited for some sort of command. Would she have to work in a team with the others? Dia hoped not, she was more of a loner than she was a teammate, but she wouldn't argue with it, since it would help her people skills come the time of need.

His own 33ft height did tower over her, making it rather funny looking. He traced a digit over her helm, before pondering her question. They needed energon for Regenesis as well as troops on the field. As she was head of surveillance though, maybe she was better suited to go on a scouting mission. That was how it was going to be.
You might have heard that Shrike, you, Sortie and I are on a squad together. I have other matters to attend to, and so does Shrike. If it's not too much to ask for, I'd like you to try to track down an energon mine, preferably far away from any human activity. We need the energon for Regenesis. It would be best if you brought someone else with you, although you don't have to. I'm going to clearup some things in the Halls.
He smiled at her and tried to emphasize on the "not going alone" part. He didn't want anything to happen, not to her. With that he began walking out and towards the Halls. He had gotten a comm from an autobot and it had picked up very interesting stuff. These things also pissed him off a great bit, which meant that his battlemask was flipped down and his coils crackled angrily. Dia would surely see that something was wrong as the Prime left for the place of current commotion in the base.

A partner huh? Brilliant. Diamond wasn't all for the idea, but knew it was probably best for her health. Upon seeing him leave suddenly hot headed, Diamond wasn't confused much at all being that the base was in constant negativity. Taking a moment to glance around her surroundings, she left shortly after, walking down a different route to head to the halls. Of course it didn't lower her chance of walking right into the fringe, but she didn't really care as she could handle herself well.

Letting the auto-recognition lock scan Diamond, the femme promptly entered Sky's quarters to look for his secret stash-o-cogs he had told her her about. Quickly walking into the berthroom, she set straight to searching in the spot he had said, digging through parts and disarmed weapons. The mess was understandable, for the Prime didn't have time to clean his space often where the eye couldn't reach.
"Ah, here we are... Now to find one that'll hopefully be a good replacement...." Searching through assorted transformation cogs and a few other internal parts here and there, Dia managed to grab hold of a rather new looking cog, looking quite fresh from the body and barely touched afterwards, "Eh, this'll do." She hummed softly, standing straight again and heading for the door.

(STop making me post first damn)
Diamond opened the hatch for the Prime, showing some courtesy for the highest ranking. She waited patiently like a good little bot for the lumbering mech to enter. She signaled for Nitrobite to jump into her arms as the Prime would probably lay down once he got inside. Thoughts ran through her helm as she remembered the Prime's question in the Medibay, and she thought to herself for a moment, shutting the voice that mocked her in her helm up yet again.

Skyspray followed her inside, slowly limping in. He used a servo to support himself through the door and waited a few seconds before continuing. He wasn't exactly happy, there was no real reason for him to be happy either. Sure, they had gotten the engines, but to what price? Hundreds, maybe thousands of bots had died, leaving them with barely anything. All resources were now directed towards Regenesis, they couldn't afford to wait. He vented and made his way over to a chair and sat down. He kept his helm in his servos, optics closed. This was both because of his weakened state and because he felt slightly guilty of leading all those bots to their deaths.
Get it over with quickly, Diamond. I have to leave soon again. Could you please bring me an energon cube?
He mumbled quietly, but hopefully loud enough for her to hear.

Diamond tilted her helm, a pitiful look over taking her face before she hesitantly nodded. It was best to keep quiet, but since when was she ever completely silent? Her mechanisms always disturbed her surroundings, the voice in her helm would cause her to yell out sometimes, and her opinions were, as usual, more important than the mission.
"Skyspray, you can't stress over the past. It ages you... Believe me, you should know that better than even I." Her tone was soft, but she didn't look back at Sky, for surely he wouldn't meet her gaze either. The femme grabbed a cube, the highest grade that he had knowing very well it wouldn't affect him, but anything to take away the feeling he had right now was good enough. She as well brought some tools to fix the scratches and dents in his armour, to make him look more presentable.
Once she gave him his cube, she kissed his cheek plate gently, "All things have consequences. You got the engines, and in return many have died. You can't blame yourself. They knew what was in their line of duty and what was coming, they had faith that you're mission was to be completed, and because of them, it was a success. As a Prime you're not obligated to get emotional over bots you had such little ties to."

His thoughts were a bit grumbled by the recent energon loss and kick, but he could focus on one thing at least, the guilt. Was there any way that the lives could have been saved? There had to be a way, he just hadn't seen it, right? The more he thought about it, the more sure he became. He looked up slightly at Dia's words, grunting a little.
I know it, but you also know my story. How can I not stress about it when the aftermath is with me at all times?
She would know what he was talking about, as it was painfully obvious. You just had to look at him to understand it. He just sat there as he waited for her to return with the cube, watching her. As he got the cube, he smiled up at her and straightened his posture on his chair. Sky took it and drank it, just because it was energon. High grades didn't affect him as it did to others.
I know that all actions have consequenses. I have made many decisions which have caused consequences far beyond your understanding. Not even I can grasp the full extent of them all the time. For this specific event however, I can. If I had gone another route they could have been alive, maybe not all but a few more. I could have saved more of them. I'm sorry, I probabaly disappointed you before. I might not be obligated to care, but I do. We all need each other to survive, and our job will be a scrapton harder now...

"You'll never know the pain others go through, have gone through, and will go through. You only know your own, and I myself cannot compare to how you hurt inside. But I'll tell you this now. I have suffered, and you have, but you have not endured and witnessed what I have gone through, I've watched my own shared sparks die before my optics, I killed Halberd, who was like a mother to me, I was abandoned and sent here, where I met a new family. And I cannot tell you how much I cared until they all died. Death no longer affects me, and I no longer weep at its feet when a comrade falls. I move on, knowing damn well that sobbing over a bot, one that you loved or not, will only get you killed as well." She turned away, sighing and rubbing her arms, "Sky... there's something I've been meaning to tell you.... I knew I should have told you sooner, but I didn't know how. I...."
The femme's words caught in her throat, and she choked on them mentally. A pounding helmache split through her processor, and a loud voice roared at her to not say anything, "Skyspray... I'm dying." Was all that came out.

It is true that I don't know your pain as I cannot feel it myself. However, don't disregard emotions. They don't make you weak, a lack of emotions do. I was raised with that lack of emotion, and see how that turned out. I have killed those who were closest to me, and I plan to kill the rest of them too. My spark was experimented upon, things were done to it..
You say you've seen your shared spark die, but that is a lie. If a shared spark die, then you die too. Just look at Topspin and Twin Twist. We all know what happened to them, and that has not happened to you from what I can tell. I don't know, maybe you have a mutation, but a shared spark, I wouldn't think so. You might forget that I am an expert on cybertronian anatomy, where the organs are, now they function and most importantly, where to hit to cause severe damage.
How would you sleep when you know that you have the blood of thousands, maybe millions, maybe even billions, of lives on your servos? I can tell you, the answer is not great. Worst part is, what if you weren't unwilling? If you acgually thought that all those people deserved to die? Would you not try to spare as many lives as possible to make up for it, or do you think that they deserved to die? Most of them were not even fighters...
Sky said slowly, staring straight forwards, optics unseeing. He was watching, but at the same time not. Now he was re-living old memories, memories of a time where it had been very different. He was brought back to present time again when Diamond continued, and his optics flashed for a few seconds before focusing on her. What she said was mostly confusing him, how could she be dying? She seemed fine, in more than one way.
I'm afraid I don't understand. What do you mean "I'm dying"? You have to specify, my dear.

We all have different mindsets, my love. Mine was scarred into a devoid state, where feeling was a sign that I have not yet grown up. I was played around with as well, you see, I wasn't always stained with these colours and with two separate minds. And they weren't fully shared sparks, but because of their deaths, my own has grown terribly weak. It is only in this shell that I can stay alive and use my full potential. But... the mechanisms were not meant to last as long as they already have. That is what I mean by 'I am dying,' Skyspray." Diamond's tone took a twist to frustration. Something was working overtime indeed, but in her mind this time. Taking a deep vent, she calmed down.
"I'll see my own demised soon. And if the mechanisms break during battle... I'll switch over, have no control over my body, and that won't be a graceful demise, now would it? Nothing can help me defeat this disease I carry. A split personality can't meld into my own, and a horrible spark function seals my own fate. I won't live long enough to see us be together as long as I am like this, love. I'm sorry."

Well, you were right. You should have told me this earlier. This is not a matter that you should hide from each other. Maybe I could have helped. There has to be some kind of cure. I.. I don't know what to say. I need some time to think about this...
He really wasn't sure what to say or what to do. She already saidthat there was no cure, so she must've tried it all before. That meant there was nothing he could do to help her really. What a shame. The Prime stood up before walking out the door, not looking back at her. He was limping a little, but it wouldn't take too long either way. Once he was out, he opened a groundbridge in front of him. He still had to take care of some business. Sky stepped through the portal and it closed behind him.

Diamond fell victim to a look of utter betrayal when he never spoke a word before leaving. The femme was alone in a dark room as she shrank into herself.
"I'm sorry..." She whimpered softly, feeling the air from the door brush against her form. He hates you now, you know that right? Dia hit herself in the helm mentally, shutting Death up before going to sit down on the berth.

((Sorry for being so late to post, been a little under the weather lately.))
Nitrobite would have gladly leapt into Diamond's arms upon entering the room, but there was so much interesting stuff in there that he wanted to check out. So instead the creature left his perch on Sky and disappeared into one of the far corners of the Prime's dorm. Through the duration of the pair's conversation, Nitro remained oddly quiet. Occasionally glimpses of his purple optics could be caught in the darker parts of the room, but other than that there seemed to be no problems.
It wasn't until Sky had left the room, that the little creature returned. He gingerly held a strip electrical tape in his mouth as he approached Dia. Nitrobite clambered up onto the berth and sat on the femme's lap. "This make you feel better." He clicked at her and attempted to put the tape on Diamond's helm. Nitro had seen the medics at work earlier in the day and assumed it would help despite the obvious. The creature blinked slowly at her, showing his affection.

The corners of Diamond's mouth twitched when Nitro appeared and put tape over her helm. She knew he meant well, and she patted his helm for that, then hugged his neck.
"I should have told him earlier, I should have listened to myself rather than let my emotions get the best of me...." She sighed, looking blankly forward, "I doubt he hates me, but because of what I've done I've wounded us together.... Oh Nitro, what can I do...?" Of course it was a rhetorical question as she didn't expect him to answer, but right now she just wanted to know if she had done the right thing by telling him late. Better than never.

The creature chirred upon being hugged and settled down once released from the embrace. He tilted his helm and listened to Diamond speak contently. Nitro was never very good with problems like her's, but then again he's never had any problems to deal with in the first place. Upon being questioned, the creature shrugged and fell silent. There was a brief pause before he held up another strip of tape.
"Fix?" Nitro looked at the tape before putting it down and shaking his helm. He let out a little sigh before quickly running off. His footsteps echoed around the room and on occasion a crash could be heard. The creature returned a few minutes later and presented Dia a lightbulb. "Gift?" From his short time there he noted that presents always made him feel better. Maybe a gift could fix the relationship?

She was trapped for the moment, in a heavy debate with her inner self. If her other half were to have a physical form it'd be trying to kill her, to strange and decapitate her with the claws she cursedly wielded. Dia ignored Nitro's tape offer, that or she didn't hear it.
"Damn it all..." The femme whispered to herself as the Cannistarian bounded off somewhere. She crossed her legs and balanced her helm on her servos, huffing silently until the creature came back and offered a lightbulb. This made her smile a little, solemn, but it was there. She patted his helm again, and inspected the bulb, "Thank you, little one." How would a lightbulb fix anything however? Sure it was used to fix the light fixtures, but it wasn't worth much else other than glass.

Nitrobite did a little excited shoulder shuffle at the femme's appreciation. Unfortunately, Dia wasn't quite catching on to what the creature was implying. He tapped at his helm frantically, sentences were often difficult to form. The creature made a grab at the bulb, chattering excitedly. Once in his possession, Nitro made a 'giving' motion. "Give Sky gift, make friends!"
The creature put the lightbulb down and scurried towards Diamond's pedes. "Les'go!" Nitro began to pull at her, blowing out bits of frost to get her moving.

Dia's audios twitched when the bulb disappeared from her servo and the creature spoke to her. Sky didn't need gifts, he had everything he could ever want! But perhaps Nitrobite was onto something. What could I possibly give him that he would appreciate? It's not like arts and crafts would be appropriate for this age. On the other servo, she was indeed older than him by a few, but that would only make things more awkward.
Once he tugged at her trods she clicked her glossa and stood, following after him and opening the door, "He's probably busy, little one, I don't think he'll appreciate it if we interrupt his work."
