"Skyspray, I really doubt the Matrix has any- Unless I were to get replacements, I will still be able to work. Just not as fast. And don't worry, the rest of my body will be fine."
Ratchet was going to say he didn't believe that the Matrix could do such nonsense; but he stopped himself. He had a conversation like this with Drift once. He couldn't be bothered to have another. He just nodded in thanks to Skyspray's concern and began to leave, but the old bot turned to look at Skyspray when he was at the door.
"And one more thing. I'll tell you why I brought up Sparkflare later. I'll go pop into the medibay and see how the miners are doing after that."
Ratchet then left as he closed the door behind him, leaving for the Prime and his head of surveillance to talk.

Diamond glance up at Taggon who gestured a farewell, but merely returned to her sour phase to confront the voice in her helm when it brought up something irrelevant. Her audios twitched as the remaining bots began to leave, but never paid attention once they had cleared out. Her form was still pressed against the wall, very well in her own world as she lost reality to the battle in her processor. It was a pain really, to have two minds in a sphere that can only contain one.

Well then. Let's hope you can get replacement servos before yours fail. At least the rest of you will be fine, losing another bot would have been more painful. And you do that, I'll see you later, Ratchet.
Sky was relieved that it wasn't anything lethal that had occurred with Ratchet, that only his servos were affected. Replacements could be found elsewhere and if they miraculously didn't exist, they could always build new ones. He watched as Ratchet left the room and hummed quietly for himself. This had gone a lot better than expected. Now there was only Sky and Dia left.
So now there's just you and me, Diamond. Back here again. Take a seat.
Sky turned his helm towards her shadowy figure, giving her a big simle and gesturing at the couch that was situated a bit off. She couldn't hide from him, not when he could sense her clearly. His spark was beating faster than usual again and he was tensing up a little.
Now, what was it that you wanted? Should I get you some energon?

Diamond looked at the ground with more of an alarmed look, only getting more intense as the evil mocking in her head got louder and louder until finally Sky's words brought her out of the trance with a small gasp. It took a moment for the femme to realize where she was and who she was hailed by. Not this again.... She moaned in her helm before pushing herself off the wall and lightly stepping over to where he offered a seat. How was she going to deliver this? Listen, I should warn you that I may get a little crazy out in the field if taking heavy fire. Heck, even call it going berserk. Well, that's because I have split personalities.... One from the DJD, and one that is my original. Yeah, that's how I'll say it. She slumped down, looking quite nervous as she hugged her abdominal area and slightly hunched over as if she were about to purge her tanks of energon.
"Energon? Oh, um... sure." Dia answered awkwardly, meaning to politely refuse but instead did the exact opposite. She mentally smacked herself for that, seeing as this was the same situation as earlier. Now she kind of just wanted to leave, but her condition required her to come clean to the Prime, as Head of Surveillance that is.

Eyeing her from top to bottom again, his smile softened a little without him noticing. It wws just something that had happened. He knew that there was something special with this femme from when he first laid his optics on her in this room. In his mind, this was both so right but so wrong. How could he do this, he was the Prime for crying out loud. This moment, though, he didn't care about who he was, he just knew that he had to tame the chance when he got it. Nodding at her request for energon, he sat down next to her and simply put his servos together before pulling them apart and revealing an energon cube in the space between them. He handed over the cube to her before resting towards the back of the couch. He felt that her spark rate was increasing, the energon signals from here were unstable. Maybe this... eh whatever. Better do it now than to dwell on it.
Before you say something, I know what you are going to say. And yeah, I like you too. Like, a lot. Like a whole lot. It just feels.. great, when you are nearby, Diamond.
Oh well, now that was done. Sky could have mistaken her increased spark beating for skmethjng else, and then tnis woukd be really awkward. He supposed he would know in a matter of seconds though. Creating an energon cube for himself, he began drinking that, trying to think about something else. At least the cube hid his facial expression pretty well....

Diamond opened her mouth to speak once recieving her cube, only to be cut off by Sky when he spoke. She dragged back, a surprised and utterly shovked look on her face as she studied him with wide optics. A blush formed on her cheeks as energon nearly boiled through her face, allowing her systems to push themselves trying to cool it. Well that's amusing. Looks like he was crushing on you big time. The voice teased, earning an 'Oh shut up'. She didn't want to protest with his wishes, and instead shrank back to rethink her words.
"I suddenly forgot what I wanted to say...." She mumbled to herself. "Sky I..." I have a mental disorder! Just say it you weakling!" I um... I like you too..." Diamond suppressed the voice that roared at her for being so stupid. What did she just get herself into now? This is going to be quite the surprise later on for the others....

He tried to think of something else, like what beautiful explosions the new cannons would create but with her so close nearby, his thoughts just drifted off and got replaced by other, sweeter ones. Ugh, he did not like this, he was weak. Couldn't even focus on things. There was a moment of silence before she actually confirmed his thoughts. She liked him too, making Sky feel like he had just won the entire war. He tried not to show it but he did hve a huge grin on his faceplate which he hid behind fhe cube. Finishing it up, he placed it on the table looked over at her again, seeing her blush like crazy. He faked yawning a little and laid his arms on the top of the counch, slowly making his way closer to Dia and then very slowly letting the arm slide down and on the other side of her.
Sorry, the meeting juat made me a bit tired. It is exhausting to vent out about big projects and ideas. When did you first realise.. yeah, you kmow what I mean.

SHe felt like such a failure. Diamond was reprogrammed to be an escort, designed to distract the enemy from attacking, so that they may throw the first blow. That's your old programming, Diamond. Get it together... Taking a deep breathe, she sat straighter when she felt his arm curl around her like a snake and tried to prevent her face from changing expression. Of course she was uncomfortable, but knowing as the feeling would be something to pass with time somewhat allowed her to relax a little.
"I've been in denial. It's a feeling that always seemed like a stab in the spark." She said softly, a claw over her bottom lip, "Because your friends and loved ones will die or leave you either way in the end." It was a saying of truth, because she would definitely know the feeling of getting your spark broken over and over again. It broke her, shattered her, and never tried to repair what she once was. Now she was... this. A sour, depressed, silent war machine. The femme nearly broke the cube in her servo that she hadn't yet taken a drink out of as her grip subconsciously tightened to the point ehr servo shook, trying to break it without her noticing. Wow, you really are weak...

He looked down at the femme next to him, smiling gently at her, although she couldn't see it. It was a pretty awkward moment for the both of them, but Sky wouldn't let that ruin the moment. He kept his arm there where it was and scooted a tiny bit closer, until they were almost touching but not quite. Was this how his parents had done too? The though of his father doing anything like this almost made him shiver, although this was not the right moment for that. Listening to what she said, he vented a little bit. What she said was true, but it was the wrong way of thinking.
Ah, denial. I've been there, but in other scenarios. While you say they will leave you in the end, it is just that, the end. You will have great fun while you are still alive, so closing yourself off is not the way to go. You have your entire life ahead of you, heck, we both do. And I'd rather spend my days with someone I like than alone. You know where I come from, right?
He said slowly, almost as if his words could hurt her. Funny how the Prime, an EX-DJD, one of the most wanted in the solar system, known for blowing up things in big numbers, could show such a soft side. It wasn't like he actively tried to be one way or another, he just did what felt best in the moment. If she knew where his origins started, She would also know why he preferred company over being alone, at least for now.

Her audios lowered themselves as he spoke. He was such a happy mech... always looking on the bright side to keep moving forward. Diamond wished she could be that optimistic, but knew it was nearly impossible to do so. Her weakened spark was a form of proof that she had suffered, and if she were to lose another link, whether it be distant or not, she'd either go completely insane, or die because of it. It was this fact that always stopped her from feeling for others, but she couldn't help herself in this case.
"I assume somewhere bad? Don't worry, my current self does as well..." She did something brave and brought her legs up to curl herself, leaning against his side as she thought to herself, completely forgetting about her anxious self and thinking about all that had happened in the past. Her mind did a good job of suppressing those gruesome memories, that is until it was brought up by Deatheye or herself. Traumatizing really, but it taught her a valuable lesson. Though she didn't seem to need it any longer.

She maybe thought he was happy, which was true, but deep down, he was not happy. At all. A burning rage was there, deep within his spark and being happy and carefree was basically his way of dealing with it. Sometimes, he had to cool off, and that was when they had to fix up the holo-simulator again. Both for him to have something to shoot and to have it working since his last visit. Now, he was happy though and would stay that way. As she assumed he was born somewhere bad, he rose up from the couch and went into the bedroom, taking the flipped photo and bringing it with him. He sat down next to her again and showed her the photo, which was of him as a sparkling in his mother's arms while his father was watching, both smiling. Back then, everythign was fine, but since Thunderblast died, it all had gone to scrap.
That is my parents. Kaon and Thunderblast. Mom died when I was 2. Grew up with.. Them. Wasn't the most fun you could ever have. I was taught a lot of things but.. It wasn't worth it. That is the wort place you could be at, I hope you don't have to go there again. I did see your name on the list..
He wasn't that concerned as he knew she was capable at fighting on her own, but he also new that if you were alone against the DJD, you just had to pray to Primus that you died quickly. That wasn't the case usually though. Seeing as she curled up against his side, Sky felt himself tense up ever so slightly. Just because he could, he moved his one servo gently over her back, both resting it there and stroking her at the same time.

He was the son of Kaon? THE Kaon? Diamond had to admit that she was slightly taken aback by his words, but showed no reaction whatsoever. She however did shift a little when he mentioned the list and felt his servo on her back. How was she going to say this? With a heavy sigh, she began.
"A while ago, albeit a year or not, my sister, Halberd, converted officially to an Autobot, having been merely a spy this whole time. After a while, the DJD got suspicious, and later appeared in the mountains to kidnap my sister. I lied, trying to save her, that I was a Decepticon, and that we were working for them. Gee, I wonder why it didn't work." She huffed, shaking her helm, "Anyways, she's gone now, I would know because my sword is still in her empty shell until this day. Gone like the rest. After another while, they found me and knocked me out, tortured me then put me in a box. The next thing I knew, I was in Ukraine, talking to some mech and realized I looked like... this." She gestured to herself, her claws flexing and her dentas baring. She looked like a snake, a lizard or a feline. She stuck out her glossa, looking at the split soft metal that had a metal ball in the middle. The ball under her lip bothered her, but she couldn't remove it. The rings through her audios jingled as they hit each other, and her egyptian-type helm only pulled her further away from what she once was.
She wasn't Diamond anymore.

He was in fact son of The Kaon, the one and only. It wasn't like he actively went around and said that he was Kaon's son, but because of his coils, people still knew. He could remove them if he wnted to, but there was no point in it. He didn't hide who he was, not anymore. In the beginning that had been necessary to be able to blend in relatively well even though it hadn't worked well either way. His clawed digits and cannons had made people stay away, not that he didn't prefer it being that way. He wasn't social back then. The Prime listened more to what she had to say, before giving his own version.
I've known many who suffered a similar fate. You got lucky. You got tortured once, and don't remember what happened afterwards. I was their test subject, tortured multiple times a week, sometimes multiple times a day. Smelting pools, saws, acids, electricity, explosions, bullers, scratches, you name it. There's no forgetting that, there's no forgiving that. I'm living with that, with the monster that I was and still am. Just now it takes another shape. Two out of five. More on the way. And for the record, you don't look bad though..
He added quietly as he began recalling what happened so many hears ago. It was something which he always tried to forget but stil haunted him, making him just stare out into nothing. He was back in his memories now.

Diamond sat on her knees, facing him with concerned optics, "But you're not a a monster! You're a sweet, if not the sweetest mech I've ever known.... Your mind may be in the past..." She placed a servo over his spark, trying not too lean on him too much, "But your spark is so much stronger, stronger than mind even.... And with the matrix, you're able to avenge yourself, unlike me. I know I won't last much longer, but you, you can do so much more and not worry about where you're hit or wounded..." Diamond glanced down at her chest, knowing how that extra casing she recieved during the repurposing hour in DJD headquarters was suppressing the amount she bled through her spark, and that it would not last much longer.

He listened only partly to what she said as his mind was racing away. It was like a blur between his memories and the present reality. Thanks to his mind being tampered with too, he didn't even know if they were his real memories. Most probably were though, but those with red flowers in.. he wasn't sure. He maybe looked straight into her optics, but it wasn't her he saw. It was like watching through a dimmed window, blurry and grey.
I am a monster. You just haven't seen it yet. I was fine even without the matrix, there's nothing wrong with my Spark.
Sky said as he began to regain vision of the present again, the memories beginning to fade away and becoming memories again. He vented heavily and instead focused his grass green optics on her own ones, looking straight into them.

Tilting her helm a little, her expression grew pitiful, then she looked down for a moment, "Then I guess being monsters is something we have in common...." Everyone around her could be happy if they put their mind to it, people like Sky. Maybe he could teach her to smile brightly again? Perhaps go as far as to even laugh after millions of years? She found herself unable to move away from the captivating gaze he delivered.
Two opposing colours sharing a deep care for one another, both glowing rings against black surfaces, focusing on the little details that each other's optics had to offer. Her servo slipped once she forgot about pressing little wait, catching herself on his other shoulder only to feel his vents on her cheek as she was closer than comfortably ever. Might as well I guess. She thought, then pushed forward to press her intake against his, scrunching her optics tight as if bracing herself.

One of the many things, Diamond. It's possible that it will change in the future, I don't know.
His coils crackled a little, sending sparks flying in a very close vicinity of them. It wasn't anytning dangerous but it looked cool though. He wasn't looking at it though as they were both situated where he couldn't see them as of now, and he was busy looking at her. Her optics were one part of her that he did find attractive, the red dots just being pretty where they were. When she slipped on his armor, he put his servos around her waist to catch her, the size and strength of them easily able to hold her up. She was very close now, and Sky felt his spark pulsating much faster than usual. He was admittedly not sure what to do, but then came the kiss.
Her pressing her intake against his took him by surprise, but it wasn't bad. He just wasn't prepared for it. He slowly closed his optics to embrace the feeling as bis servos moved up onto her back in a gentle embrace, pulling her close.

Diamond placed hr servos on either side of his helm, pressing his face firm against hers for another long and blissful moment before hugging his neck. She pulled away slowly as a tease, looking at his lips before into his optics again. She looked for a good long while, taking a sero and brushing her thumb over his cheek before she did something absurdly unique.
She smiled.
"This is by far the craziest thing I have ever thought..." She paused, shifting herself to better face him, "But I think I'm in love...." She couldn't stop smiling now, that was an achievement she longed to see, and not even a fake smile looked bright. They were always dim, and never showed their tru potential, even the tiny ones were rare, but this... a great big smile sure was a milestone. But instead of peeling herself off of him, she just shared her intake with him again, this time making it a fuller and more sincere contact.

He let her press their faces together without any complaining as it was a moment he wanted as well. When she pulled away, he opened his optics again while looking at her. Something was different about her, she was smiling. That was the first time Sky had seen her smile actually, and it sat on her pretty well. Looking grumpy all the time didn't do her face much justice as a smile did. He smiled too, especially when her thumb moved across his face.
Oh is it? Let me tell you something crazier. I know I am in love.
He chuckled slightly and gently scratched the armor on her back, dragging his digits around on it. Even though he felt like he was doing a big mistake, he just didn't care. This time, he was prepared for her as she came back for round two. His intake was opened slightly as it made contact with hers, making as much as possible touch. Now he understood what made his parents actually get together and stay together. Because there was no way he would be leaving this.

Diamond kept herself from giggling like an over joyed sparkling, feeling the movements on her back and focusing on them to relax. So this is what true happiness felt like huh? It's been so long since she felt that way, and she wasn't sure she'd be fluctuating the feeling often as life goes on. Pulling back again, she sighed and studied his face once more. Drunk on love, was it? Yeah, she was pretty sure, and Sky's expression proved it. Whimsical and lost. Oh how adorable he was.
"We better get going. The sooner we finish your toy of a space ship the better." She winked playfully, feeling rather good about herself for once and decided to let that recent programming purpose peep out a little. Her optics brightened against her cheerful face, and her smile didn't falter at all. Was it always this easy?
