"Heh, I think I can remember your ship's schematics, Watch," Grief said, waving off Watchman's needless directions. All he'd needed was the room name; the rest he could take care of himself. "I ain't an apprentice like the rest of these lumps," he added with a scoff, turning slightly.
Shooting the other mech, Helix, whom he could only assume he'd also met sometime before during his stay with Watchman on the 'Shell, a glance: "Last I checked that's my name. Now whatever you're doing, get to it. I don't have time to reminisce and catch up. In case you hadn't noticed, we've got a dyin' bot on our servos here." With that, he turned fully away from the group and stormed off down the hallway. It was a strange way to show that he cared, and none present but Watch would have recognized the sentiment, but GriefAura was only being curt because he genuinely wanted to see System- or rather, Watchman's grandson- survive this experience.
Not bothering to wait for Baku, he knew that the Dinobot would follow quickly enough. More importantly, he'd have to recognize the severity of the situation, and therefore understand the reason behind Grief's pace. His rubber peds stepped brusquely over rubble and scattered debris from shattered hallway walls and broken ceiling fixtures, winding as he took the nearest pathway down a maintenance hatch he'd remembered from the days he'd worked on the ship for Watchman in outer space, assisting his crew. It would have been a tight squeeze for Baku. Regardless, he didn't slow down. Even as he climbed down, loosely grasping the rungs of the metal-barred ladder, it appeared almost like the smaller mech was flying through the Ramshell. He was in his natural environment, and anyone who couldn't see that clearly enough from how he moved effortlessly- almost elegantly, even- had to have been either blind or stupid.
Summoner, much slower, had gotten lost in no time. Grief's sudden and quick reaction left her reeling in the air, left behind in the room with so many mech and femme strangers around her. The tiny, floating, fuzzy blue orb fluttered closer to the ceiling above them all. It put a slight distance between her tiny, fragile body and the rest of the room's occupants. Chirping a couple of times, she was perfectly content to stay out of harm's way and observe events as they unfolded.

Baku would exvent a little as he found the materials he needed in the storage section that wasn't underwater and grappled a lot of it in large metal boxes between his arms and his torso, making his way quickly back to the medbay. As he did, he would pass by Grief.
Come on, what's taking you? I thought you knew this ship like the back of your servo!
He would tease as he dashed his way to the medbay.

He let out a low, reverberating growl at the Dinobot as he rushed past. "First the greens wanna chat it up, and now you, huh? Keep movin', fragger." Unlike Baku, where apparently quantity was much more important than quality, GriefAura took a little bit more time to examine the supplies he'd found. Padded servos shifted through metal tools, some rare, some common, many damaged and very few still completely intact and vaguely usable. He was quick to grab an energon transducer that seemed to be in reasonably good condition, as well as a pair of cyberforceps.
"I'll scrape the paint from his fragin' aft if he didn't pick up a couple of these," Grief griped to himself, picking up the sensitive pieces of equipment and attaching them to his side, taking two armfuls of what seemed to be at least somewhat useful, mostly dry scrap metal that might've been of use to them for the new chassis. Before he began lugging the load slowly back to the room, he spoke with Watchman. {:: Do you have a spare chassis from any past projects related to Midna? ::} he asked into the open comms. for Watch to answer. Unlike Baku, who was large and strong, and carried a massive load of odds and ends that either might have been useful, or might not have been, GriefAura was smaller; weaker, and more deliberate with the tools he'd chosen. Tools that he knew could be plenty useful enough for them once they got to work.

No, Grief, none. Navi and Tatl were the only ones, but Midna altered them, and I need them for work.
Um...father...wasn't there...
Navi attempted to speak to Watch, and Watch froze. He let out a loud sigh and put his helm down as Tatl finished plugging System in. System's consciousness would upload to the Ramshell, and he'd integrate with the ships computers.
...She has a point dad. That body isn't far, and it would be very helpful to System.
Watch let out another sigh, before reopening his comm to Grief.
The only body I can offer is in a space station only a few quadrants from here, just far enough for a shuttle to get there and back if we load it with extra supplies. The body will be in some serious decay, but we could still learn a lot from it. Either of you up for the task? It'll be a few days out in space.

*System's visor lights up after being plugged in and a bar appears on it, showing a classic upload status bar.*
"What do you need me to do?"
*Helix asked, looking confused and worried about System and Grief.*

Baku would grunt as he put down the boxes he was carrying on a medical berth once he reached the medbay, sorting through what he had brought.
Let's see here... Arms, cyber-forceps, t-cogs... Oh, forgot I had a spare one of those in those storage containers...

Finally dragging his portion of the supply haul back through the shoddy hallways and dumping the scrap and tools on the floor of the room, Grief gave a quick flash of his optic around the full room. His chest plating rose and fell slowly as he took in deep vents, and not wanting to exhaust his systems, he let a single pair of auxiliary ventilation flaps aside his head gradually slide away from their places flush against the rest of his helm's design, beginning to puff vents of air from the additional coolant systems of his chassis, and finding his exertion much less taxing on his overall endurance. He was back to venting normally again within seconds, and the flaps went back flat against his helm, hiding well against his armor.
Now that he'd been able to get a better look at the room, Grief noticed the appearance of the bots, a healthy mixture of mechs and femmes. Two he almost immediately recognized, upon further examination, as former Midna prototypes. They must have been the pair Watch had just mentioned; Tatl and Navi. An optic brow rose as he attempted to distinguish one from the other- to no avail. The rest- except for Baku and Watch, with whom he'd already shared greetings- were bots he neither recognized, nor cared to socialize with. A pair of mechs; Helix, and Targix, and System, who was known to Grief by reputation only; the grandson of his friend.
When he glanced over at Baku's supplies, lying on the berth more neatly than the scattered pile Grief had made on the floor, he let out a huff of self retreat upon seeing the cyber forceps the medic had grabbed. "Don't forget to use the energon transducer. The last time we tried to complete a chassis without using it, the energon overloaded the prototypes before we even had the chance to put the AI in," Grief reminded Baku with a sideways glance, his intake not quite reflecting the irritation he felt at the filled room. He'd already resolved to take on Watchman's mission. Baku could more than hold his own with preparation for the new body; he remembered how well the expert medic had worked on their previous projects in the past, and what's more, space travel was one of Grief's own expertise. No one here- he was almost sure of it- was as experienced in space exploration as he was, save for Watchman, who was just as, if not more than, experienced as he was. Nodding to Watchman, Grief blinked his optic a few times. The orange unit adjusted quickly to the settings of the room, taking in the sight of the damaged, poor excuse of a body his friend was using. Then, he spoke. "I'll take the escape pod, so long as you've remembered to equip it with external jets and are making use of the ship's launching mechanism to get it out of the atmosphere. Can you send information for the location of this other body directly to the pod? A few days is nothing. Oh, and when you do transfer the information, don't bother decoding it. I can take Summoner along," he said, nodding to the floating blue orb, "and she'll decode the information as we go along. Nav's a navigator AI, after all, so she'll have no problem with directing my journey."
Summoner gave a few delighted chirps. Leaving to go on a little adventure, alone with Grief, sounded like a lot of fun to the femme. She wondered what sort of things space had to offer her; she couldn't exactly remember travelling through space before her deactivation, and she thought she'd love to have a new experience. It might jog her memory in the process, and what an advantage that would have been to her.

Baku nodded a bit as he heard Grief's words, taking a few more items out of the box, including an energon transducer.
Why do you think I filled a few boxes with things I knew we'd need? Screw being unprepared, this time around... If we need anymore spare parts, however, I'll have to groundbridge back to my base and get them...
He would then overhear talk about heading into space, looking over to Grief with curiosity.
Space..? You need to go into space to get something?

Navi turned to Targix and saw him looking at her. She smiled and gave him a little wave.
Watch turned to Baku and Grief and nodded.
Of course I prepared for that, Grief. The shuttles are fully ready for you and anyone else you want to bring alo-
He was cut short by a loud beeping on the computer of someone approaching the ship. He opened up the surveillance files, before his optics widened a bit.
Oh no...none of you told her, did you?

"Good," Grief said after Watchman's confirmation. He wasn't about to go taking a trip in a shoddily-crafted shuttle. The questions had really only been out of habit, though, and Grief would never have expected his old friend- the most savvy bot there was... or rather, the most savvy mech there was in interstellar travel- to make such a rookie mistake as that.
Summoner darted about, chirping excitedly as GriefAura began to leave the room, floating just above and behind him. "We're going to space now!?" she blurted enthusiastically, hardly able to contain herself. It was the first she'd talked in a while since Grief was faced with having to help save Systemcheck. He only laughed at her, nodding his helm once in affirmation. "Yes, Nav, we're going..." He stopped short.
It had been ages since Grief had had to attempt reading the Ramshell's screens, and now, turning around to look at the alert that Watchman was attending to, he squinted his optic; not only was it hard to see with his half-baked artificial optic, but he was finding out quickly that, no matter how well he knew the Ramshell, there were some things about it that could only be of benefit with practice. He couldn't read the screen successfully, and after a few quick flares from his optic, he finally gave up trying to decipher the information. "What is it, Watch?" he asked. Whoever or whatever this was, they sure had bad timing.

Navi looked at him oddly a bit, and then giggles, before looking a bit surprised at the alert.
Oh Primus...
ALL DRONES, APPROACH THE HOSTILE BUT DO NOT HARM HER. TRY TO STOP HER AT ALL COSTS.
They don't stand a chance...
Watch looked to Helix and nodied slightly to him.
Helix, get up. You may be the only one who can calm her now.
Watch then turned to Grief and put a broken, rusty servo on his shoulder.
Let's just say, friend, it'll be a very rude reunion to our greatest project together. Now everyone brace yourselves, this may get messy.

The sounds of drones marching down the hall were loud as they approached the entrance. Then, many fires of guns and loud screams and violence could be heard. After a while of this, silence covered the room. Then, a lone helm of a drone rolled into the room, before being stepped on and crushed by the pede of Midna.
Who...is....the...FRAGGER WHO HURT MY SON!?!?

Baku looked to Grief and Watch with a bit of curiosity on the whole 'space' topic.
Should I go as well in order to carry whatever we find out there..?
He would then hear the commotion going on and exvent some, his helm still in its defensive mode as his mouth and optics were covered by his mask and visor.
Scheisse...
After he said that, he would see the head roll in and being crushed under Midna's pede, rolling his optics.
You know, if somebody had told me 'heads will roll' before I arrived here, I would've grabbed a Vehicon head to play football with...
