Navi was working deeper in the ship, trying to work on the radar. She was trying to improve it so that she could find Watch's spark signal from here, but she was having trouble. She sighed and wiped her helm, before hearing someone entering. She grabbed a wrench nearby and slowly made her way to the sound until she heard this person right around the corner. Without thinking to see who it was, she jumped from the corner and made a blind swing at them with the wrench.

"WAAAH!!"
*Came Targix's wailing as he was jumped and swung at by Navi, he recognizes the femme and says.*
"Woah woah woah! Navi! Its me. Targix!"
*He stood up and sniffles*

Navi opened her optics and eeped as she saw who the intruder was. She dropped the wrench and ran over to Targix, profusely apologizing, her voice shaky, fast, and flustered.
OH PRIMUS! I'm so sorry Targix I didn't think it was you, actually I didn't think it was anyone in particular, in fact I may just not have been thinking, are you hurt? You look hurt. Oh Primus I hurt you, we need to get you to a doctor. Do I know any doctors? I don't know, I haven't been around the bots very much but there was that one doctor who fixed System but, oh my Primus I'm rambling now, sorry I'm just so flustered and embarrassed. Are you sure you're okay? You look like you're...
She breathed deep, as that entire statement was said in one quick breath.

*Targix placed a caring servo on Navi's shoulder and chuckled.*
"Navi... we're cool. And I'm not okay, there were two big battles today... I could've lost Supernova... but fixed her up. But I got dragged to a fight between her father and two sisters. The eldest, Sunburst... executed her father, Blackclaw.
I watched her laugh at him..."
*He then whimpers.*
"It reminded me of how my mum... was murdered by a Decepticon."

Oh no. Targix, I'm sory.
She sort of looked at him for a minute and awkwardly rubbing her arm, before walking over and giving him an awkward, yet comforting hug.

*Targix blushed a little, he felt oddly very comfortable with Navi hugging him, he hugs her back and places his head on her shoulder.*
"D-Don't be... just... memories..."
*He cries silently with a slight whimper here and there.*

A portal opened within the Ramshell, the long fallen vessel of the legendary Watchman Prime. Or fabled to be legendary. Taggon had never met the mech in person, and Taggon had only heard things of the ex-prime. All he knew was that the mech was supposed to be long dead, and this ship perhaps was his graveyard. Taggon's protectobots had exited the portal, with him taking the back, and Shrike ensuring. The portal still gave a chance for Taggon's fellow Avacon to sprint through before close.
Meanwhile, Taggon had orders for his soldiers.
"You four, I need you to check the engine room. You four, scan the communications room for anything salvageable, you four, check the energon reserves. The rest of you are with Shrike and I." Taggon ordered, and with each of his requests, a group of protectobots would branch off from the others, hastily running towards their objective. Taggon watched his troops spread out, letting the A19 strike team do what it did best: spread through areas stealthily and efficiently. He had even taught some of these protectobots some of his tactics, in order to give them an edge in battle. Taggon still waited for Shrike to come through the bridge. Shrike's request on why Taggon left the Avacons had not exited Taggon's mind.
"I have several reasons for leaving the Avacons Shrike." Taggon said, once the mech came through the bridge, "One of them is loss, the other is reasoning, another still is due to an old, long forgotten oath; something a friend told me as he tried to uplift me form what I had become."

Shrike came out, surprisingly slow, both for having been so close of a call, and being Shrike. One would expect speed from him, but it simply wasn't there. The stress truly was getting to him, but he was fighting it. Hopefully there would be no breakdown on this mission. No promises of course, but Shrike could hope. Any sort of calmness to him was absent, while he normall was fast, and sometimes vaguely toned down, now he was a jittery mess of strain. Contrail better be okay by the end of this.
For now, he waits for that knowledge, and hears entirely different information. Taggon gave slightly vague answer. So he was never interested in being one truly. Taggon had personal, subconscious becoming conscious reasons to leave. Interesting. Temptations to explain his own story were snuffed by watching the protectobots work and holding interest, then curiosity. Sparking a question on topic.
"So what are we goin' to do here? Dismantle the ship?" It was only a half sarcastic remark, as Shrike knew all too well that could be true. He just wanted clarification. Maybe after he'd ask another AvaCon question, but first the mission. He could still technically explode for going off duty, maybe. He wasn't sure sure how aware Sky was of him.

-Energon storage vicinity— The squad assigned to the energon reserves found that the ship had very little energon, much less power to speak of. It had been all directed to one sector in particular, once. What remained in the storage area was enough to keep someone alive for about four months, which wasn’t a bad amount of energon left in the tanks. The protectobots worked to let the ship’s energon distribution to be online, so that their brethren in the einge room might have enough energon to give the engines a test run. They would also grant the bridge, where Taggon and Shrike were headed. -Engine room-- The protectobots heading for the engine arrived shortly after navigating through the ruins. There was little to take from the ship it seemed, the fallen vessel was ravaged and wrecked. The floor creaked under the protectobots, quavering, alerting them that there was the possibility that it would give in beneath them. The mechs strode boldly forth, until they at last reached the engines. There, they began to check what they were dealing with. The cruiser had several powerful machines to pulse it through space, but they were all broken, or dusty.
::Sir, so far it seems all the engines are good for is scrapping for spare parts. Nothing looks to be too functional. Beginning testing on the engines now though.::
Thus, the protectobots worked to restore energon lines, as to give the engines to prove their worth once more. -The Bridge- His secret wasn’t that he’d seen enough battles that the thought of combat had turned into something he was long used to. The reason Taggon’s calm seldom broke was due to the fact that he had a policy of never letting most know what was on his mind. He had taught himself form the beginning that if anyone knew what was on his mind, they would have an advantage. Enemy or ally, his mind was his own business. It was something he’d learned in his vehicon academy, and it was engrained into him. As for his reaction to battles? He never truly dedicated too much of his thought to what exactly might happened, he mused on it, but he kept his thoughts sewn to his limbs and his body, using his chassis as an instrument. There was strategy, there was thought, above all though, there was calculated risk. Taggon found more often than not that sometimes what he actually did in the end depended on what his enemy did, and what his instincts guided his body to do before hand. It was all a quiet, frightening experience. To slice his knives into heads or sparks, ah, in those days, the trick was to do it, and to do it quickly. Focusing on what he did rather than thinking on it. That way he wouldn’t have to think. His mind could be such a painful thing sometimes, and yet, as he had learned that due to his thinking, he existed, he learned that existence could be such a sweet thing. “We are here to salvage what we can. The goal is to see how much precisely we can get away with Shrike, before the Decepticons arrive. We take what is most valuable first, then work our way down. In the meantime, I dislike performing a mission without insurance policies. A wise warrior once said keep your enemies close, and keep your weapons all the more closer.” Taggon spoke, as they strode to the bridge, where the commander seat was planted before dozens of controls. “Then I put a knife in his spark. I could not have agreed more with him.” Taggon said remorselessly, “A cousin to that philosophy was to never let your enemy have the first move. I was naive enough to grant my adversary the first maneuver, and after he took his first few seconds lecturing, I decided that his enlightenment was logical, I need not be foolish any longer.” Taggon nodded dryly, as some of the protectobots glanced over their shoulder at him. His visor was indifferent to their gazes, as if he was slightly amused by such talk. The protectobots continued working, and sure enough some of the computers shuttered online. The protectobots worked to stabilize the connections. Taggon nodded his approval as he glanced over their shoulders. He sighed. “Those were simpler days Shrike. When I was just a soldier with a few knives and some wit in battle. Frankly, the thought of thinking was not such a plague. I had the personal pleasure of pretending not to think. Tricky business.” The Head of Strategy said. He turned his helm to look at Shrike, who look like he was about to snap in half due to the stress of his predicament. Taggon realized what he had said wasn’t precisely something a poetic hero would have fluttered from his tongue, so he rolled his optics at himself from behind his mask, before approaching Shrike. “Speaking of that…who are you Shrike? I know you are an ex-Avacon, but that is all. I find it strange to believe you have aligned yourself with the Autobots. How did that come to pass? Do enlighten me, if it does not trouble you.” Taggon wanted to see some of Shrikes dimensions. He felt a little sorry for the mech, however, he felt he could not comfort him if he did not know what he was like a bit more. He was still offering his listening audios to the other Avacon though.

((I am so, so sorry. I could have replied any time earlier this week to be honest, but I simply lacked motivation. I mean I can barely come up with an idea of a post, let alone have the drive to type one. If Skyspray reads this, I'm sorry, I'm trying my best to keep energy for TFG))
Shrike didn't know what to say about the mission directive, as it was pretty open and anything really could do, so best was to do nothing. However, then came a much more important statement. Philosophy of some sort. Definitely some sort. Taggon's comment came across as rather silly despite its morbidity. Sure the Vehicon was a cold killer but the wording was laughable.
Hearing Taggon's tale was interesting in its own right. He didn't give much away, but Tag was from a grim past. Once a true Vehicon, he had to hide his personality. Individuality was alien. That must have been terrible to experience, truly a constant lock of his own conscious. No way to relate.
Now came the questions of Shrike himself, "Uhm... I was recon." He needed to continue, though, a lot was to be said while they explored the ship, "I was to be a more offensive bot, help to fight the rare fight. I was even part of a combiner that flopped. The Axiom crashed to, that's why I'm here." More ought to be said but only if they have good reason. He was not unwilling to give more, just stressed enough and wanted pacing. Taggon would simply need to ask for more. Shrike will work at his pace, to keep watch and spot rare things.

Energon storage vicinity: The energon supply was rather low, but a bot did some math, and discovered that they’d have enough energon for the engines to continue to be tested for a little while. Any fuel focused anywhere else would certainly deplete the tanks rather quickly. ::Sir. We have to be careful with the energon spending. We’re going to turn off some lights in the bridge, as well as the hallways to give the engines some extra time for function testing.:: The protectobots would remain on guard, opening some scanners. The enemy moved in the dark all too well.
They also requested more bots for extracting pieces from the ship…
Engine room: Testing the engines was going fairly well, for engines that hadn’t been used for several ages. The engines creaked loudly as they revved, their torque still in tact. They were old, but their maker had been diligent in his construction. Soon extra bots that had previously been requested groundbridged in, bringing extra dismantling equipment. Yanking the engines free would be a challenge. A few of the bots were heavy-lifters. They were going to have to dismantle the engines partly, and then heave them through a ground bridge. The steady tweaking of nuts and bolts hence began.
The Bridge: Darkness joined the filth in the bridge, as it clung to the walls. Taggon’s visor pierced the blackness as his armor blended him with it, the only light from him that defied the lack of light. The other protectobots glanced around, as they continued to prepare emergency defensive systems. “Sir, this ship hasn’t seen action in ages, and the auto turrets are mostly unavailable.” One of the engineers reported. Taggon frowned at the comment, never responding to the com-line that spoke into his ear from the storage facility. His enemies loved the shadows, and it provided too much of an easy way for his enemies to come in unnoticed. Taggon would have to be on his guard. At least the floor was creaky enough for the mech to hear if anyone heavy started to trail in. The sounds of the protectobots working hastily in the engine room echoed off the walls. His small musings prevented him from noticing any hint that Shrike was actually amused at his tale. The vehicon’s attentions were re-focused on the Avacon when he said his occupation of the Avacons. Curiosuly enough, the Avacons had been making a combiner. Taggon imagined himself having to face such a foe. He frowned at the thought. He much rather preferred fighting other snipers or hand-to-hand combatants. Getsaults put him out of his comfort zone. Primus was generous enough to have prevented it from working. “It stands to reason we shall have to be vigilant. Keep your weapons fully loaded.” Taggona answered the protectobot officer first. He glanced at Shrike, “Interesting. This makes me quite curious about the other Avacons…” Taggon trailed off. “What was the last you saw of Commander Thrasher? If I may also ask, if you were recon, did you happen across a mech named Airwatcher or a femme designated Silvershot?” He asked quietly. The words ‘Commander Thrasher’ still had respect in it. Taggon had always believed the commander to be one of the more gifted ones he’d served under. Ultimately, Taggon had disagreed with him due to his distaste for the Avacon principles, however, he still believed Thrasher to be a mech worthwhile of respect. As for Airwatcher and Silvershot…he’d known the young seeker he’d adopted and raised had found a special love for the silver assassin. He’d left before he’d seen how their little relationship worked out.

Skyspray had sent him on a very quiet mission, so it seemed. The war-machine breathed to himself, as he thought of all the action he was most likely missing. Then he thought perhaps his luck finally won out. If No decepticons or intereference was occurring, and he was being given time to make a new friend, then this was good. He may as well be grateful for the peace. With that in mind, Taggon gently shoved any grim musings on matters to the back of his helm like a student might scoot his rejected essay to the side of his desk. As the protectobots worked hard, Taggon could feel the heavy-lifters gathering around the engines below, the vibrations from the lower level could be heard, as dozens and dozens of heavy-lifters shoved the engines away, carting them off to the Autobot base to where they could be re-used for Skyspray’s ultimate plan. Taggon sighed to himself. Maybe after this mission he could have a small break and clear his thoughts. Perhaps he could go to that bar in the Autobot base.
The one where he had laughed and smiled with Astrinal and Riptide. He softly chuckled at the memory. ‘Endorse frolicking.’ Other happy memories flooded the vehicons mind. His first encounter with Diamond, his old 409th days with Slapfoot, Cut-Up, Stalaken…Slapfoot. Taggon thought about the name for an instant. The glue of his group. The four-armed vehicon couldn’t have been more respectable than he was. Taggon missed the comforting feeling of the towering mech’s shadow, as if a skyscraper had sided with him, and would thunder along side him and his brothers for all eternity. Other more pleasing memories were when he had been with Astrinal in a cave…enjoying time with her. Taggon found himself smiling behind his mask. There had always been something special about her. One mech had even downright chased her he knew she was something worth having. But Taggon had always denied some of his feelings. He’d been scared of losing her.
Well, she’s lost. I am just about as well off as I would be if I had been honest with myself and her then. Funny how it takes someone to die in order for anyone to start truly thinking. Taggon grunted at the sound of a portal downstairs closing. ::Sir, the engines have been acquired::
::Excellent work. Remain here and salvage what you can. In the meantime, I shall go and handle the Aries Fist. I thank you all for your hard work.:: Taggon told the protectobots. The vehicon sighed, calling a ground bridge. To the A19 Strike teams old ship. It was like cleaning up the locker of an old, passed away man. Surely enough, the portal opened, and the vehicon exited. Shrike would have to move along to keep up…and this was an abrupt interruption in their conversation, but Taggon had the mission. It wasn’t like Shrike didn’t know where Taggon was headed anyways. The portal closed.
