So, a wrestling AU I hear you ask, how would such a thing work? Well friends, thankfully I'm here to explain everything. In this AU, you are taking the role of a member of the roster of the wrestling promotion UPCW (Ultimate Professional Championship Wrestling), in this AU, you will be faced with performing matches, cutting promos against your opponents, hunting for titles, defending said titles, feuds with other wrestlers, avoiding injury or being fired, and who knows what else.
To start, I shall give you the template below to make your wrestler, and I shall elaborate upon how the RP will be structured as we go on. The template is unlikely to change much, but if it does, you will be expected to update your application, or it will not be valid.

Episodes, Matches and Pay-Per-Views:
In UPCW, matches are gonna be divided into episodes of about 8 or so matches, depending on how many we get. In each episode, players will be matched up against each other in a variety of singles and tag team matches. There will also be chances for promos and backstage segments in between matches, to allow your wrestler to decry their opponent in the ring, or do something shady in the back to gain an advantage. The GM (me) will set up points for these segments in each episode. When the Episode is done, a new episode is made and new matchups are determined.
After about 4 Episodes, we transition to a PPV, or Pay-Per-View. PPVs are big shows that happen monthly, usually themed around a certain match type you don't see otherwise. I have a list of 12 PPVs, each with their own unique match type that'll be revealed as they show up. Over the course of the Episodes between PPVs, feuds and title opportunities will be made to build up the match card, resulting in the PPV being the big payoff.
Title Belts:
No wrestling promotion is complete without title belts to fight over, so I have come up with a list of six titles, Any wrestler can hunt for a title (there are some limitations which I'll get to in a minute) and can even hold multiple titles at once. All titles MUST be defended within 30 days or the champion will be stripped of the title.
If a title changes hands during a match at any point, the former Champion can exercise a rematch clause, meaning they are guaranteed one rematch at the next viable opportunity. If you lose your rematch, you get no more chances and must climb up the ladder again to be the No.1 contender.
The belts themselves are as follows:
-UPCW World Heavyweight Championship: The top prize for male wrestlers. Any male wrestler is eligible for a shot at this title. Only the best performers can get this belt.
-UPCW Women's Championship: Exactly like the World Heavyweight Championship, but for female wrestlers.
-UPCW Tag Team Championship: Two belts only attainable by Tag Teams. Male or female wrestlers can challenge for this title, so long as they are in a Tag Team with at least one other wrestler (gender irrelevant).
-UPCW International Championship: Midcard Championship. Males and Females can challenge for this title against each other.
-UPCW Madman's Championship: Lower Tier Championship. Males or Females can challenge for this title. Belt is defended on EVERY Episode.

RULES:
-Humans only, no demons, no aliens (although they can be incorporated into your gimmick) and most definitely no giant robots.
-Keep the gear reasonably PG-14. String bikinis aren't gonna cut it.
-No OOC flaming. This one is obvious.
-If you get hit, you get hurt. Risky manoeuvres can mean great rewards, but if you screw it up, you run the risk of injury. Shrugging off 20 foot drops aren't gonna fly round here.
-If you plan on going after a title, show up. The title WILL be stripped from you if you don't defend it after the IC time has passed. No rematch Clause, no complaining.
-Accept the fact you're not going to always win. No undefeated streaks here, at least not for very long.

I'm rather interested in making one or two males, a female and a manager but I'm a little curious what are the rules for the actual matches when it comes to me joining I'd kind of like to know.

Since I'm basically the Vince McMahon of this, the matches will be decided by me. For the first few, since there are no feuds going on, I'll randomise them, then as people hunt for titles and rivalries, I'll make matches based on those rivalries. As far as during the match, basic wrestling rules apply such as count-outs and disqualifications. I'll control the referees for each match, so as to keep things unbiased.
I want to experiment to find the right way to do this, so for now, it's simply going to be a case of fighting each other under wrestling rules and conditions, using wrestling moves. Pin or submit your opponent to win, don't get DQ'ed. Try to hit your Finisher once you've gained enough momentum in the match to make your opponent unable to get out etc etc. If you've watched wrestling, it's basically that, but translated to RP.
There'll be no Cena level no-selling here. IF you get hit, you get hurt, and you WILL get hit in each and every match, I don't care how much of a speedy high-flyer your wrestler is. There are some moves that are very high-risk, but they can be high-reward as well. I'll try and stay hands off, but I can step in if I feel the damage done by a move is a little out of balance.
I can even assign injuries if that person takes too hard a hit and have them sit out of matches for a certain amount of Episodes (each Episode represents a week of IC time, PPVs are on the day before an Episode, so they don't have this effect). High risk, high-reward at its finest.
If you get a title belt, expect to defend it, or get stripped of it. Every title must be defended within 30 days of the last defence, no exceptions. If you get injured with a title, you can be stripped of it if you can't return in time to defend it.
If you want to join, just fill out the template for your wrestlers. Managers can go under the same Template, just N/A the parts about moves and use the Tag Teams/Stables part to say which wrestler(s) you are managing.

Ok I'm just about to go off for tonight but I'll probably send you a message for further information. My first rp experience was actually on a pro wrestling rp forum so admittedly the idea of doing something similar is rather nostalgic.

Ok this is based on the template. If I use a picture of my characters in ring gear can I effectively skip the gear and appearance sections?

W.I.P
Name: Connor Takedown Nickname(s): Takedown, The Scottish Solution. Gender: Male Age: 26 Hometown: United Kingdom. Scotland. Height: 6 ft 6 in Weight: 278 lb Appearance and Gear: Debut Face or Heel?: Face Entrance Music: Eminem - Till I Collapse Gimmick: Coming from an MMA background as a renowned college wrestler and boxer Takedown's background brings a little bit of legitimacy as a hard knocks fighter. This in turn lead to him being billed as a remorseless monster in former promotions which was further emphasised by Takedown's chiselled physique, however in more recent times Takedown has gained a positive reputation with the fans for his more forgiving approach and an increasing respect for opponents. Takedown is a sportsman who understands the importance of the crowd and commonly asks for their support against heel wrestlers. In the ring Takedown however is still very large and brutal in the ring making his presence known with a number of hard hitting grapples and strikes. Wrestling Style: Effectively a powerhouse/brawler cross over Takedown has combined a number of hard hitting grapples such as powerbombs and suplexs with a quicker and more instant reply in the form of brutal strikes most usually through punches and elbows. Signature Moves: Right hand hook Spear Spinning Spinebuster Big Boot Elevated Powerbomb Sit Out Powerbomb (AfterShock) Exploder Suplex Finisher(s): Chokeslam (Down Town Takedown) Crowd Chant(s): What does the crowd chant when they are rooting for you/hating you? Name: GBH Nickname(s): The Boss, The CEO, The Demonstration of Desolation Gender: Male Age: 28 Hometown: Belfast, Northern Ireland Height: 6'2" Weight: 225 lbs Appearance: GBH has long brown hair, often tied back into a ponytail when on business. His body is very muscular, with broad shoulders and large biceps. While highly unlikely to be visible, there is a large scar running down the outside of his right leg from an infamous Chairs Match, where a steel chair of shoddy quality was broken in half off a ringpost before it was used and managed to carve a deep gash through his leg. By a margin of a miracle, GBH made a full recovery after 8 months of time off and the wound did not cause serious damage to his movement or leg strength, allowing him to continue his wrestling career. Debut Face or Heel?: Face Entrance Music: Gear: GBH has not worn his wrestling gear for a while now, usually seen wearing a light grey business suit with a dark grey shirt, dark green tie, and black waistcoat and shoes. Gimmick: CEO of UPCW. Originally a wrestler in another promotion, he was fired after a disagreement with senior staff over his booking, GBH feeling his skill in the ring was not being adequately showcased. !0 months later, the promotion was forced to close due to budgetary problems, leaving a hole in the market. Taking the initiative and salvaging any staff and equipment he could find, GBH began hiring wrestlers old and new for his new promotion, UPCW. In wrestling terms, GBH originally debuted on TV as a member of the stable known as The Hunters, as a chain-wielding sociopath known for binding his opponents in his chains during promos or after big matches. When The Hunters disbanded over a power struggle, GBH struck out on his own, his gimmick remaining the same until during a feud, culminating in a Ladder Match where a briefcase containing a career contract was on the line, GBH found an extra paper in the briefcase. This paper turned out be to the results of a private investigation into GBH's background ordered y his opponent in an attempt to find information to play mind games with. What it contained was a Genealogy report, showing GBH to be the direct descendant to an Irish king, and in line to collect a substantial inheritance. With this, GBH changed his gimmick to be somewhat more reminiscent of his heritage, Changing his Entrance theme and emblazoning his new gear with Celtic Crosses and creating an entirely new moveset, with names reminiscent of his lineage. With this new Gimmick, GBH's career really set off, becoming ever more brutal and vicious than before and garnering many excellent accolades under his belt. Now with his new promotion, GBH is focused entirely on running the business, and has not participated in a match since his firing. At least, not yet... Wrestling Style: Powerhouse Brawler. GBH in the ring is vicious, sadistic, and intimidating. Virtually roaring into his opponent's faces whether he be striking the opponent or pulling them into any number of powerful grappling moves. Grapples usually result in impactful power moves with an added element of malevolence to his very body language. Signature Moves: - Bell Clap, using his hands to slap both of the opponent's ears to cause disorientation (Sound the Drums)
- High-impact DDT
- Running Single-Knee Facebuster (Bow to the King)
- Psych-Out Running Clothesline, whipping the opponent into the ropes before following them, throwing off the opponent's timing and allowing him an opening to clothesline them.
- High-Angle Hip Toss
- Standing Powerbomb (The Dethroning)
Finisher(s): Rope-Assisted T-Bone Powerslam. GBH sets up his opponent on the ropes, before bouncing off the other side and shoulder-charging his opponent so hard he lifts off the ground. When he lands, GBH lifts the opponent into a T-Bone powerslam, spinning them to land on their back in the middle of the ring, perfectly set-up to be pinned. (Your King Commands) Tag Teams/Stables: None Crowd Chant(s): "GBH, GBH!" Motto: "a Demonstration, of Desolation!"

Name: Feral
Nickname(s): Seeker
Gender: Male
Age: 25
Hometown: Good ol' Bristol, England UK
Height: 5' 6
Weight: 100 kilograms, 220.4 pounds and 15 stone
Appearance: A stout man, Feral has a generally small frame with comically wide shoulders and rather thin limbs. He is fairly well built up in terms of muscle, but then again who isn't in this show? However his legs are the vocal point, as these things ripple with the force of a small truck whenever he takes but a mere step. His whole body is fairly plain, nothing abnormal like a third nipple or multiple limbs hanging off his body. His face also follows that idea, but instead going for sharp angles and features complete with a seemingly unshakeable smile that never quite has an end to it. His eyes are baby blue and his short, black hair caps off his head with very little in the way of style going into it.
Debut Face or Heel?: Heel
Entrance Music:
Gear: A pair of black, baggy tracksuit bottoms complete with a set of Vans TNT shoes, dress for comfort or don't dress at all! On his forearms he has a pair of studded wrist-bands, black leather with dulled silver cones.
Gimmick: Random, insane and generally going without a plan for most of his fights, Feral sticks to his namesake in the way of having little to no forethought about his actions. He simply sees something he likes, a belt, a fellow wrestler, and he just goes after it. But the one thing he always has firmly set in his mind is a fun match. He cares not for boring fights, which in turn means he does not care about how a match is performed. You can bring in a chair, 5 other wrestlers or a hitman, it won't deter him, it'll only increase the size of his smile.
Wrestling Style: High-Flyer all the way. Hawking back to his personality, he prefers flashy moves and anything that'll both keep the match alive and keep the crowd entertained. Be it full pelt sprinting at the ropes, leaping onto them and backflipping off onto an opponent or simply sliding over their legs, pushing himself up and drop-kicking them in the back. He's quick on his feet, hard to lock down and above all else, probably flying at you.
Signature Moves:
- Split-legged Moonsault - He bounces off the two corner ropes and chest slams into the guy.
- Springboard leg drop - He jumps from the top ropes and slams his leg across the guy's upper chest.
- Springboard splash - Jumps from the top rope and slams his chest into the guy.
- Slingshot Springboard Hurricanrana - Another top rope jump where he locks his legs around the guy's neck and quickly flips the guy onto his back, normally moves into a pin.
- Springboard Headscissor - Top rope jump, back flip into head scissor lock where he then rotates and launches the guy across the ring.
- Running Tornado DDT - Runs towards the guy, jumps into an under arm head lock, rotates the guy around before pulling back and slamming the guy's face into the floor.
Finisher(s): Dropping the Dime - Corner rope dive, another chest slam, into guy.
Tag Teams/Stables: None
Crowd Chant(s): When they want him to win: Feral! Feral! Feral! When they want him to lose: Boooo! (Yes, I'm unoriginal.)
Motto: F-f-f-flawless!!!!
