Prologue
"Get up rookie!
Turboshock was knocked out of her hammock-like berth, which her backside hit the metal floor panels of the sleeping quarters. Turboshock rubbed her helm, which had also made impact. The young rookie opened her sleepy cyan optics to look at the squad leader, whom was Sergeant Quickblade. The blue and white mech stood with his bulky arms crossed. Turboshock inspected the room from the ground, and noticed how each bed was empty. Whether it was clean and neat, or messy and sloppy, they were empty. The 15ft. femme kicked upward in a ninja-like fashion, which her orange and black paint glimmered in the artificial lights above.
"What did I miss boss?" Turboshock asked delightfully, stretching her backplate. She eventually stopped her playful like mood, then looked at her commander to see him- still- not in the mood. He just snorted. Eventually, he cracked a smirk.
"Breakfast, and your shift on guard duty on the flight deck." The sergeant said, stroking up the words through his thick irish accent. On top of that a deep voice. "You do realise this is the fourth time this week? What day is it? Friday?"
"Thursday actually." Turboshock shrugged too casually. "Don't mean I have special privileges. I'm a fraggin' techie? r'member?"
This time, the Sergeant didn't cook up no laugh, he just snorted again. "Your schedule has been modified so that you have more bridge time. That doesn't mean you're a techie. Now get to work." The Sergeant turned his backplate and left soon afterwards, signalling that the conversation was over. The door eventually slammed, which Turboshock jumped. She eventually huffed, then turned her back to the door and began to dig about underneath her berth. grabbing some equipment and placing it into her subspace, Turboshock eventually stood up and looked at the large Decepticon Insignia on the far wall. It didn't look to mighty in the lit room. But at night, when the lights were off, it glowed a somewhat pretty into of purple. It was suppose to be menacing and threatening, but it wasn't to Turbo. "It ain't no pretty flower!" she recalled one of the vehicons a few nights ago. "It's the heart of our faction! With that our glorious leader Megatron!"
Megatron her tailpipe.
Letting out a tired huff, Turboshock took a few jogging steps to the exit, then made sure the door closed all the way as she left.
Turboshock found her seat in the bridge, which she brought the chair to her tailpipe. However another pair of hands grasped the base of the chair, which resulted in Turbo falling backwards and onto the floor. Turboshock let out a small huff, which her backplate throbbed against the ground. Two times in one day, and it hadn't even been an hour yet. Primus, why do you hate me so much? she thought, knowing she wouldn't get a response.
"I found my chair!" a smirky, yet snobbish voice rung from behind her, which in seconds, a vehicon with white stripes bent over in Turboshock's line of optical vision. "Oh, sorry rookie, I didn't see you."
Turboshock groaned in annoyance. The vehicon had offered a hand, but she smacked it aside while getting up."I'm already having a bad day. Spare me the freakin' crappy excuse." Turboshock grumbled. "But why did you have to do that Sideblast."
"It was for my entertainment, Turbo." The vehicon- Sideblast- teased. "You need to chill out. By the way, your grumpy, did someone wake you up?"
Turbo grumbled a few swears under her breath and grabbed her chair, then rolled it over and sat down. Being young in the ranks wasn't the easiest thing to cope with. Being the youngest on the ship, a 15 year old. Turbo had to deal with jerks like Sideblast. And he wasn't the only one. The entire crew was like that, which they thought they could mess with her. The only good reason they had was because she was 'small' and 'young'. "Kid, you still got stuff to learn. I bet you still can't handle a knife!"
How much I'd like to show 'em that I can do way more than hold a knife. She thought to herself. I could probably cut out the next smart-aft comment they have.
Turbo eventually gave up her thoughts of trying to show people up, which she payed attention to her work. Working on the single keyboard in front of her, Turbo pulled up the groundbridge usage page, then sat down to 'monitor' it. That is, in translation, sitting and watching a screen for countless hours. Fun right?
"Pist, over here."
Looking over her shoulder, Turboshock noticed a few vehicons piling around a monitor, almost like something interesting had popped up. A different vehicon, this time without stripes, motioned her over. "Come take a look at this."
Looking around the bridge, Turbo noticed how it was vacant. That mean the serg wasn't around, which it was okay to jump around. Turbo made her way out of the seat, then made her way to see the screen. Everyone was taller than her, which she had to move and push people by their sides and legs.
"Turbo, someone's hacking into the network!" The familiar voice of Sideblast, who was sitting in the seat, pointed at the screen. Difficult looking codes, firewalls, and viruses began to form and make shape along the screen, which Turbo's optics widened. There was a silent moment for her, unsure of what to do. "What do we do?" Sideblast looked at her. Even with his visor in the way, she could tell he was asking for help.
Turbo did what most would have done, which she walked around to the side of the chair and shoved him out of the way, then made her way to the actual keyboard. Beginning to type, a small notification popped up in the screen, which made her stop. What the scrap? The notification had a message.
Techie.
Read this document, and see if your loyalties are in the right place.

A second later, the notification then disappeared, which a document opened up. The date on the document was rather recent. Being computer bound, Turboshock read every document every day. But this had been one she hadn't read. It was also titled a week ago.
A second later, someone shoved her out of the chair, which Turboshock yelped in surprise. "I'm gonna' read this out loud! Let's see how ridiculous this is!" Sideblast exclaimed. Turbo groaned, but that didn't stop the white striped vehicon to begin reading.
"From today till the first weekend of next month, vehicons with 'technical difficulties' must be reported into the science department for 'updating'. Things such as off topic thoughts, outbursts, and out of protocal and manual behavior on duty."
There was a pause in Sideblast's voice, which he gulped. "Don't ya'll know what this means? We can't be livin' freakin' beings anymore."
Turboshock pulled herself back to her peds, which she watched how the four of 'em, all vehicons, reacted. Turbo had heard about the updating announcement, which she blinked in surprise as well. "What does it mean?" Turbo asked curiously.
Sideblast ignored her question, which he looked at the rest of the vehicons. "We ain't got no life if we act us." Sideblast snorted. "I ain't gonna' stick around if that's the case. I didn't sign up to be a blank drone."
Sideblast shoved the chair aside, then stood up. Sideblast was the tallest of the five of them, while Turbo was the shortest. "We've gotta' make a plan and get out of here, and fast!"
The other vehicons nodded, which Turbo was a bit testy. They were spooked about a simple document? No, she needed more evidence. As the four vehicons began to walk off, Turbo made her way to the chair and typed in a few visible things. Monitor #89b, it's the least secure. 12:00 military time.
Hopping the message went through, Turboshock chased after the other meches.
I hope I didn't commit treason. She thought.

Part 1
A few hours later, The five loyalty judged decepticons sat around a small table discussing what they were going to do. Turboshock was squashed in between Overblow and Highpunch, which were two of the four other vehicons in there small group of five. Turboshock squirmed a little, but they showed no care for the small techie. Highpunch was one of the large model vehicons, made to smash through stuff and wreck things. The large mech had black highlights along his metal work. Overblow on the other hand was a little shorter and lanky. Overblow had a handful of scars, probably from scratching up his enemies, and the handful or returned fire. Overall, Turboshock was the only one who wasn't vehicon. Just a spared soldier without the standard soldier armor. she thought. I'm not of age, that's what Serg said.
"We need to leave in the next 60 hours, otherwise we'd be toast." Sideblast began his little speech. "According to any investigation protocol, they don't get here in 12 hours. Then they'll ask and question us about what happened. We may have to lie if the plan goes into effect. We vehicons might be able to pass. But Turbo-"
The vehicon looked at Turboshock, who straightened as much as she could by the mention of her name. "What about me?" Turbo asked, then raising an optical ridge.
Sideblast didn't need to be specific.
"Face it rookie, your the master of lying. You need to avoid being brought into questioning. To avoid detection, Overblow tampered with the security feeds to 'delete' you out. So in that case, it's just the four of us vehicons."
Turboshock blinked in both disbelief and surprise. It wasn't the fact that Sideblast said she couldn't lie, it was the fact that they'd saved her tailpipe. It also meant giving away a computer code wasn't mentioned or detected. Thank primus, I might live another day. She thought.
"So while we are being questioned, your gonna' use your little brain and memorize and alter our schedules for this weekend. Maybe give us night shift and leave then. Then we can fake a false alarm and leave in the havok."
Turboshock nodded slowly, memorizing her 'mission' and job in the group's plans. She then shifted a bit, which Highpunch scooted over a bit. Turbo inhaled, almost as if the few inches she was given was a big deal. The fourth vehicon, 'Handyman' so they call him, nearly chuckled.
"What do we do after we get questioned?" Highpunch asked, his gruff voice hitting the subject like a hammer. He's always so serious. Turbo thought. He can get angry when things don't get answered directly, which makes his thinking cloudy. Never a good weakness when it comes to a bruiser.
Shut up Turbo.
Turboshock had a habit of pointing out weaknesses of others and herself at times of boredom. It was a skill she had developed since she was a child. She still remembered the day when she brought her older brother down with a kitchen spoon. She nearly sighed. That was a few months before we left for Velocitron. she thought. And that was the last I saw my mom and dad.
Turboshock brushed the depressing thoughts aside, and brought herself back to the discussed matter. Highpunch's question had already been answered, which left the four of them to begin discussing about post-desertion.
"Where will we go after we leave?" Handyman asked.
"Wherever we can hide, stay off the radar. If we do this precisely to plan, they won't detect us for a week or two." Sideblast responded. To Turbo, Sideblast seemed a bit hesitant with his answer. He really didn't know. Turbo mentally shrugged her thought off, knowing that it was only the beginning stages.
"What about the DJD?" Overblow's voice seemed a bit testy and shaky. The decepticon hacker never, or hardly talked. He only did when he needed to. The name he had said silenced everyone, even the most confident of them all, which was Sideblast. The name rung in Turboshock's helm like the Liberty Bell. It repeated over and over again.
"There just a story, nothin's gonna' get in our way."

"There just a story, nothin's gonna' get in our way."
Highpunch assured Overblow, which the brute vehicon patted patted the lanky mech on the shoulder.
"Ya, there just stories to scare little children." Handyman added, which he winked through his cracked visor.
Stories my Tailpipe. Turboshock thought, moving around a bit in her chair. The DJD wasn't a story to scare kids, and to make them check underneath there beds before going to bed at night. They were real. Although she never talked about it, she'd seen them, or one of the members, before. She had been on surveillance duty a few months ago, and on nightshift. She remembered watching as a small mech made his way about the medbay and checked out one of the patients. She remembered the two red optics, and the sleek metal mouth guard, if he had a mouth. It had been Vos. The fellow he'd escorted out of the medbay was Tommy, who was ironically one of Turbo's friends. After the siting, Turbo had avoided the medbay for a good week or two, with that the entire section of the ship.
She till hadn't seen Tommy. Poor guy.
"Enough with the stories, guys. Why can't you three be like Turbo? She talks when she's asked." Sideblast said, gesturing over to the orange femme. "I'm more chatty when it comes to different subjects.." Turboshock grumbled, which she slouched a bit in her chair.
"Sideblast, stop picking on Turbo." Handyman grouched, which Sideblast only responded with a huff. Highpunch began to rub his faceplate, already feeling an argument about to happen.
"I can pick on her if I want to." Sideblast said, which she reached over the table and punched Turbo's shoulder. It was a little to hard, which it nearly pushed her out of her chair. "Ain't that right kid."
Turboshock fell quiet, not very sure how to respond. Why was Sideblast being nice. Actually, why were they all being nice. It was something so foreign. In a few days, were all going to be titled deserters. she thought. Turbo responded with a shrug, which Sideblast took the gesture as a 'whatever'.
"Alright kid. Okay boys, meeting is over. We meet back here tomorrow. Turbs, you get workin'."
Turbs, charming.
After the meeting being called off, Turbo waited for everyone to leave. Handyman however stuck around. He looked at Turbo, which Turboshock would see something she'd never seen in a vehicon's optic. Now that his visor was cracked, she could see what lied behind his mask. She saw pity.
"Your too young for this, kid." Handyman said. "Sideblast made sure you got the least important job. He didn't want you to- uh- get under pressure." Handyman didn't say anything for a few seconds, neither did Turboshock. Handyman got up a moment later, then left like everyone else. Turboshock sat tight.

Making sure the computer lab door was locked, Turboshock turned around to face the empty room. Computers lined the wall in a orderly fashion, which a few's screens were left on. One of them was locked, which Turbo made her way to the monitor and sat down in front of it.
The screen came on a moment later, which Turbo logged in and began to peruse through schedules. She then began to edit and fix Sideblast, Highpunch, Handyman, and Overblow's schedules. It was exhausting the night shift for the next night, which was in less than 24 hours. There. she thought. That should do it.
Just then, a notification would pop up.
'Another Article. Might wanna look at it. - Hacker'
How thoughtful.
After a notification, a Article popped up for Turbo to read. At the top, it read 'TOP SECRET'. Turbo guessed that she shouldn't be read. But like all troublemakers, Turbo did it anyways.
