At the northern area of Petrex, two large anti-air cannons are situated, one facing north-east and one facing north-west. These are in turn surrounded by smaller anti-air installations, made to keep fighters at bay. Autobots are constantly monitoring them and patrolling around to make sure that everything is working as intended. From the cannons there are two large corridors leading to the center of the city, one from each cannon allowing for quick and easy travel from one place to the next. The cannons themselves are situated some distance away from each other, meaning that it takes a while to get from one cannon to the next.

A peaceful place, how quick it could be ruined. Alongside other parts of the city, this area got hit by artillery too. The streets lit up in bright lights as the shells exploded, throwing rubble and bots aside like paper. The sounds of explosions would echo throughout Petrex, coming from all directions. The city was under siege.

Slap foot and his squad of vehicles flooded into the room, firing madly as they rushed to capture the point, Slapfoot himself simply stood in the middle, allowing the energy weapons to reflect off him as he studied the room, looking for his objective. A terminal, he guessed. When he found it, he slowly began to advance towards it.

The artillery fire that was hailing the area now shifted, not bombing the street anymore but instead the North-East anti-air cannon. It wasn't the one that Slapfoot was attacking, but the other one in the northern half of the city. Large shells fell down from the sky, covering most of the cannon and the surrounding areas in smokes and clouds of fire. Metal was flying everywhere from parts not welded on tightly, and unless countermeasures were employed shortly, so would the cannon. The barrage was relentless.

Flares would shoot up out of the AA cannon to throw off any heat seeking missiles and autobot soldiers were across the gun shooting the shells before they collided with the cannon.
Within the Northwestern Cannon, Slapfoot found a terminal, but it didn't appear to have access to much. It did have a map though. A bit further downwards was the power supply, but it was scarily well defended. Upwards was the control center. It wasn't as well defended, but it was guarded by a team of elite Autobot soldiers.

Looking at the map, Slapfoot decided what he would do. The control center would be his target. Signaling his men, they marched on to the control center. A good fight wasn’t something he planned to shy from.

There were no heat seeking missiles however, so the flares only lit up the area in pretty colors. The decepticons had no use for such fancy weapons at the moment, now it was just pure destruction that the focus was laid upon. A lot of shells were indeed shot down before they hit their targets, exploding in a fiery glory up in the sky. Some shells just completely missed their target too, as artillery isn't the most accurate at long ranges, but shells were still hitting the cannon. Most of the energy shells did, as they weren't solid mass that could be shot easily by small arms, which the bots were using. All this meant that nothing changed too much, shells were still hitting the cannon, albeit in less scale than before. They had just delayed the inevitable.

What looked to be a purple ball of sorts would roll down the hall of the control center, right smack-dab in the middle of the Decepticon troops. It would explode in a huge burst of thick, purple gas. The venomous effect would dissipate after the first couple seconds and only a handful near the ball would have been affected. Their optics would burn and short out. Only a handful, but it was still more than zero. For the rest, it was still thick purple smoke. Near the back, they might head footsteps and something energizing--then nothing as they went to the Well of All Sparks. The sounds of sword strikes would precede vehicons falling left and right. The slim, yet built figure was cutting through Slapfoot's troops in the command center as if they were nothing. Well--not nothing, but they were grunts. Once the smoke started to clear, Slapfoot would see who had slaughtered most of the soldiers. A black and white striped young Autobot wielding two identical black longswords. One of which was still glowing violet, the other was steaming. The mech would look up to him, "'Sup. Mind stepping out for a bit?"Backbeat

Even long before they reached the arriving designation- the sound of heavy ground-shattering shells rocked the terrain and few buildings that remained standing, lighting the sky with dangerous amount of shrapnel and multiple tones of read. Smoke hung like a thick smog- making visibility low in areas, leaving Autobot forces fighting off their defenses with their lights on, covered in grit and other particles.
Stellene began to slow when she came to the battlegrounds- and allowed the much larger white opal and steely blue mech to touch-down mid-transformation into his heavy-duty tank mode. Apparently at some point Thunder had whizzed past--- ohwell. There was that whirring charging noise as the upper level of the cannon began to swivel around to the large decepticon forces or at least whatever were left down there (we're hoping that Thunder would have enough sense to maybe, move...), three cyan lights along his larger cannon barrel flickering cyan when a charge was loaded- Stellene took a few steps back. When he fired, the force of the charge leaving the cannon was powerful enough for the tank to be rocked back, a fume of smoke filling out into the air. He changed out of his alt-form and back to his main while Stellene stood back on alert, readying her shield if they should return open-fire. Veeron shrugged his heavy pauldrons and prepared to charge in.

Slapfoot was about to nod in acceptance to Thunder’s challenge when he heard a charging sound. With a sharp, loud whistle, he ordered his men to line up behind him as he drew his shields and stepped to guard Thunder as well, taking the shot head on. Not everyone made it, and there were quite a few troops dead on the ground. Shields cracked and holding, Slapfoot stood stalwart with his heel hooks keeping him in place. He doubted the shields could take another hit and remain functional. His shields spun away as a sword came to form in his right hand. Slender, relatively short, and blades on both sides. A classic one handed blade. In his left, a much smaller blade of similar appearance formed. A clear example of a parrying blade. What happened next was like a bolt of lightning, fast and powerful. Some pulse came from the towering gladiator’s feet and he flew towards Thunder, the hook extending from his pede aimed at the mech’s shoulder. A startling feat of agility, if the hook found its mark, Slapfoot would twist and throw the warrior into the ground with enough force to knock the wind out of him. The speed at which he did this was unimaginable. It could be reacted to, but nothing more than base instinct had time to retaliate, if even that. Slapfoot was clearly skilled, as even if he missed his mark he’d still be standing behind Thunder if he missed. He carefully moved so that there were no openings, no gaps in his defense as he attacked. Thunder was in for a ride if he chose to continue on. His friends that fired the shot could only look on to the fight, too far away to do much, if they could even discern what the towering blur was doing. To top it off, the gladiator was humming. Perhaps an intimidation technique. Maybe he just liked to him. Either way, it was unsettling to most. What was his goal? His aim? What would he strike next? When? Questions like this would have to be carefully considered by Thunder in his next move, as Slapfoot just stood there, waiting for his move. He had strength in numbers. Why would he need to make a move? The x-visored behemoth simply waited, no real stance, no sign of his intent other than a foreboding aura of danger.

Thunder managed to block the bolt of lightning with his dual swords and with his incredible reaction speed, was able to dodge the hook. Though Slapfoot was behind him now, and he wouldn't waste a second. Thunder was hella fast, and he showed it by whipping around with his left sword glowing, going to bring his sword down on him, keeping his other sword to parry an incoming strike.
This guy's fast. I have to focus and keep on my guard.

Veeron- though more than willing to charge ahead- stopped and tilted his helm back as a hardy number of Autobot reinforcements were catching up to them, the dropships weren't far behind. His lenses narrowed with a slight amusement, nodding his helm back to Stellene. They'd just have to lay down a firm distraction.
::We can't bomb them in risking the loss of the cannon, that and one of our fighters are down there. Surround them, spread out, and leave no room for escape.::
Veeron's rougher tone rumbled darkly as Stellene move up to fall in line. Dust clouds blew up on either sides of them as their ground troups began to fall in place. They weren't about to rush in blind, but the older mech didn't mind.
::Alright Thunder- you rushed into that one. I'm going to try and get you out of there-::
Stellene was his set of shields in this tricky situation, and now that they had back-up, there was a sudden turn of events on this. Five autobot troopers fell in-line behind them as the rest rushed to fan-out and began closing in on the spotted breech in their control rooms.
::Thunder, you need to get out of there. I cannot say you running blindly into any of this was a very intelligent idea- I can't promise you I'll be too excited to be repairing you after all this- but I can promise you that if you aren't out in a handful of seconds I'm going to assume you're dead.::

Slapfoot, without seeming to care, brought up his parrying blade to meet Thunder’s, only, Slapfoot brought his normal blade on top of Thunder’s, sandwiching the young autobot’s weapon between Slapfoot’s own. There was next to nothing Thunder could do now. The momentum of his strike didn’t allow him to change directions, and if he pulled his sword back he’d be dragging it along two of Slapfoot’s honed blades, cutting Thunder’s sword in half. If he did nothing, Slapfoot’s strength would snap the blade in two. If he somehow managed to get his blade away, he’d leave himself defenseless to an attack. He’d be wide open. This was less a battle of technique, and more of wits. Perhaps the type of battle Thunder wasn’t used to.

His blade was caught. He knew what would happen, so he supercharged his sword further. The metal of Slapfoot's own swords would hiss as the heat from Thunder's glowing blade would begin to melt into his. Additionally, Thunder raised his other arm slightly...by firing five shots from his underarm forearm cannons. They were explosive rounds meant to pound the armor of the opponent. He did this to distract him. At the same time, pulling back and allowing the superheated blade cut through Slapfoot's. He'd wait for Slapfoot's next attack.

Wheelspin kept at a distance as he had been previously ordered, waiting to see if any of the injured needed assistance or repairs. He had transformed into his base form. His null rays were out, still contemplating whether he ought to keep that or switch it to something more damaging. (sorry it is short but.. trying to get back in and slightly lost )

There was suddenly a huge explosion, a bright light, a plume of smoke rising up towards the sky and chunks of metal flying everywhere. Due to the bots not having done enough to protect the cannon from the artillery fire, the shells had now broken through the defenses and detonated the energon supply and ammunition inside. The resulting fireball rose up with the smoke, vaporizing those on the cannon defending it. The autobots now had one less Anti-air cannon to protect them, would it be enough? The cannons could now target other areas again, which the city soon shuld bear witness to.

Assumptions are truly the most terrifying thing. Especially when you think your power is impressive, or greater than someone else’s. It leads to mistakes. Grave ones. Thunder couldn’t have even noticed when he heated and slipped his blade away. How could he have known the Slapfoot worked with fighters that utilized such heat? A terrifying assumption. Once Thunder drew his blade away, it fell apart into two clean-cut pieces. He had perhaps a second to realize what happened before half of Slapfoot’s allotted forces swarmed the area. One thousand vehicon son the inside, the room filled to the brim with bodies. The other half bombarded the cannon from the outside. And Slapfoot disappeared into the horde, presumably to continue his mission. The autobots didn’t have long. One thousand guns on the turret, it couldn’t possibly last long.

His blade was cut, and he took cover...as little cover as that was. He'd been in this universe for a couple months, so he'd been able to forge replacement blades for his swords. Clicking a switch on the hilt of his sword, the broken blade detached. There, in a compartment, the new blade folded out, would be inserted into the hilt, and locked in. The fire was getting heavy, and the cannon was close to falling. Well there were just so many vehicons...might as well show them how he treats their kind in his own universe? He threw the second small orb into the crowd, spewing painful venomous gasses that would severely damage the optics of all those in the vicinity. He'd take advantage of the confusion and supercharge his blades. Running into the swarm he started cutting them down left and right, not standing still for even a second to catch his breath. Sliding, dodging, running, crouching, sprinting, leaping, he was moving all over to cut down as many Decepticons as he could.

The group had been too slow to rise up in defense of the cannon- maybe due to the sudden confusion to the attacks that came from literally nowhere- and they flooded the semi-prepared Bots with little warning. They all felt the North East cannon explode- they all winced at the ground beneath them creaking and shifting… the planet was taking a beating… after being sluggish rebuilt, the Decepticons were tearing it to pieces. The group- they had to act quickly, a fraction of the reinforcements went to the NorthWestern cannons- and as Veeron noted, Thunder was simply delaying their doom. He had had enough of this standing around nonsense. The orders barked at Stellene were something she didn't dare argue against. Not due to the mech being higher in rank- but due to the simple fact that she was a medic. Battle wasn't her thing. Veeron burst through over the commlink for all in the area to easily hear over the heavy fire. ::All Autobot forces in this area are to focus fire on the decepticon troops- we must, defend the North-West cannon. I repeat- we must. This is our last hope.::The mass of numbers began to drop from the dropships they had requested earlier, touching down and joining in creating a closed circle around the cannon. There was no running for the Vehicons surrounding the skirmish inside and outside the cannons. ::Do not damage the cannon-- Fire.::Fanned out, it was easy for the troops to shoot down the Cons massed together; especially when their main focus has been on shooting the cannon itself. The troops dropped them like flies, and then when the remaining numbers turned realizing they were fragged up the aft with the immensity of forces- they would come to realize that the troops were still coming. From all around them- and closing the circle. Thunder was in the middle of these shots-- and friendly fire was very likely. Veeron turned to Stellene and with an expression of calmness that might seem a bit unnerving at this situation-- to her and WheelSpin, and three of the officers that grouped with them. ::Stellene-- Be our shield and help me blast a hole through them to the cannon. WheelSpin- I heard that you had a blinding ability… If that works on a group- stick between me and Stellene, you're small enough that her shield will give you full cover. RocketFlare, I'll need you and SlickFix to follow me. We need to repair the systems in the cannon, bring it back online and get some damn shields up on that thing.::::We can activate the emergency shield once we get inside-- it won't hold for long, but there are about 50 other mechs and femmes that can start immediate repairs.::::Good. Wallburst- you're a heavy hitter. Take the rear, and your shields- and watch our backs.::
::Diamond- we're going in to defend the cannon... We don't have much time- So please don't waste any small opportunity that presents itself for you guys out there.::Stellene looked to the skies a bit nervously- expecting the artillery to come bringing hell upon them. ::Ready or not Everyone- we die if we lose this cannon. Take out the Soldiers, and retake the cannon-- Let's move- And give them hell!.::And so Veeron exclaimed- as their lines blasted the foot-soldiers at the cannons to shrapnel piles- their numbers swelling as they refocused their attack. He surged forwards, the silver feminine frame darting behind the older warrior, the sound of her shield charging audible as the troops began to give them cover from their vantage points on buildings or higher ground- Veeron used himself as the shield for now to the front of the group. He had an original gladiator frame, shots he could absorb until Stellene could come through with the energy shield. He produced his own cannon- and left craters for a trail to the path they would take. About thirteen bullets lodged themselves in his metal frame, a few of the energy plasma shots grazed him- but he didn't flinch or slow in the slightest way. When he detonated his cannons to the edges of the forces- it would likely be difficult for them to fight back when they're ducking for cover. The silver femme zipped in front of the taller mech and activated her shield- it was clearly seen why WheelSpin would be the wisest in standing there. It was curved and lengthwise could cover about four Veeron's standing shoulder-to-shoulder. For every officer that followed them- surged in 100 troops. They led into the carnage with a total of 300 troops and 50 engineers or mechanics in the middle- anyone that could be of use in repairing. They'd cut through the Cons like diamond, up to the front doors of the massive cannon, as they were there to conquer what was theirs, no longer eager to be apart of these games. WheelSpin Slapfoot Thunder Chief Strange (( Why yes- I am tagging quite a few people. GIVING Y'ALL AN OPPORTUNITY TO PITCH IN. T_T Sonnnnnnnnnnnnn.))
