They were both here, thank Primus they held to their word. And Dia had told him to get to it, so Shrike took it to heart, immediately bolting to trudge through the hardened snow. How ironic that when speed was most imperative, you get slowed down the most. No only could he not transform, Shrike had unfamiliar legs and was stuck to travel through white fluff. Hard fluff. How that was really possible, fluff to be hardened, Shrike wasn't sure. That wasn't really a primary thought anyways. Contrail was first and foremost. His brother was within walking distance and he just... it was so difficult to not break down on his way there. The pain, the struggle. The realization that it was shared still.
"I'm sorry..." Shrike mumbled to himself on his way over. Finding his sibling was... asleep. Maybe offline. No, he still felt something, Contrail was alive. That led to the maroon mech taking Contrail by the arms and beginning to drag him back. Shrike didn't care if the others had followed, he only wanted them here in case things got messy, such as another AvaCon being nearby, but that wasn't the case. They should be fine.

Diamond, upon seeing Sortie appear through the portal, jogged over to aid Shrike with his brother, using the little strength she always carried around to keep the damaged mech on foot.
"We have you, soldier." She suddenly shivered for a second, shaking the cold from her pistons and aiming her focus on returning to the warmth.

The cold had a slight sting to it- even for a Cybertronian. With the bridge still open behind, though, the cold wasn't much of a concern for her. She wasn't nearly as eager to go marching through the snow, and instead shuffled a bit in place, keeping a weary watch of the perimeter with her weapon held close against her. There didn't seem to be any activity, but she wasn't about to risk it. So, she let Diamond and Shrike retrieve Shrike's brother. Sight of him was only somewhat unsettling. Contrail was clearly worse for wear. It was a sight she'd seen before, and though she couldn't speak for the couple of bots she'd just met, most likely a sight Diamond and Shrike had seen before, too. Not the kind of thing one would want to see again, but the unfortunate truth.

"Thank you, again, Diamond. I doubt I actually needed assistance, given the circumstances, but it's very much appreciated regardless," Shrike began, looking over to the femme assisting him with Contrail, who quickly becane the topic as the trudged back, "Contrail's in terrible shape, like he's just slow, in every way, or somethin'." That last point even confused that who said it, but whatever. It wasn't long until they were back by Sortie and he gave a short thank to her as well. This may just be one of the most heart wrenching moments of Shrike's life in retrospect, but in the moment, he felt almost nothing. Like he just shut down them to save Contrail. This may be true if not for his constant energy. They were almost good to go, and Shrike could feel his twin's mind stirring now. All's well.

"Help or not, I'm not letting you suffer the loss of a possible last loved one. I will not let you or anyone in my team go through what I have." Her voice and face were stern, nearly bitter, but still warm against the harsh, cold snow that blew against their faces.
"If could definitely be worse. We're lucky we got here in time." A small 'hm' came from Dia's lips as they walked towards the groundbridge, feeling as though she was finally being a great help for once.

She was largely silent, her mask turning about slowly, optics squinting whenever they pointed in the direction of the wind. The expressed thanks of Shrike was met with an even briefer solemn nod. Diamond's words sounded sincere enough to Sortie, and would likely serve as a far more capable comfort to Shrike than any sentiment she could have shared, herself. She wasn't the eloquent type by any means. Patiently, she waited for the other two to carry Contrail through the bridge and back to base.

Shrike did quite well to disregard Diamond's final comment. He'd rather not think in that light, because Contrail was alive, and could be cared for. Sortie's silence was understood, he'd worked with someone who was more action and silence than anything else. It's not uncommon that one would not want to talk to him anyways, he was well aware that some might not enjoy the energy he harbored. Shrike really didn't think much of Sortie was wrong at all. A good soldier with their head in the field.
"Just a little further, Dia," the mech muttered through the blistering cold winds as the groundbridge neared. It was just a few more steps before he disappeared, taking his brother with him.

In midde of the frozen continet a yellow-white groundbridge appeared a a floating pyramid emerged from it. The red lenses of such geometrical unknown object scaned it's surroundings, detecting everything that can be considered as a clue to find the thing he is looking for. In there were nothing ese than the pale icesheet and some black traces of rocks that are revealed in middle of the landscape. Apenrtly, in there is a rock formation hidden in tons of ice.
Catetro started to wander around such big formation unti find some holes of considerable size. The pyramid mechanical creature started to make its way thought one of the entrances as it disapeared in middle of the dark deeps

After wander in middle of those dangerous deeps of the subterranean cavities, one of his red lenses lightens something that aparenty is the part of a pod. One of his floating hands removed the dust from there while the light showed more of them buried by the pass of the time and tose geological and climatical changes. The other red lights moved to the surrounding, revealing the pieces of an aparently crasshed ship. Acording to the gelogical layer that catetron was in, the ship would crashed some 80 milions of years ago, even before the great war, so, he idn't expected to find heavy artillery or objects related with the war. Wandering even more deep the lights reveal parts of the suposed crashed ship. It wasn't big, but neither that small. Some of the fallen objects are aparently laboratory equipment, not functional, though, due the big lapse of time without being manipulated. But something that would be seen as trash, it shines like gold in the optics of Catetron. Looking back to the pods found, they contained a serie of intact protoforms. At first he though at taking all the remains of the sip, but due the conditions and the deep of the location, if he wants to take everithing, he woud do it, but it would take time. Even knowing the deepness of the cavity is enough to hide his signal so far, Catetron isn't the kind of person -if he can be considere as a person- who likes to leave posibilities of failure.
Getting his slimes out form his pyramidal body to get the protoform pods in the pataform while with his own servos he takes care of taking the laboratory equipment and place them in the pataform carefully. He would call for his personal groundbridge but at being so far away fro the surface, calibrating the location would be kinda hard due the interference of those layers of rock and dust, without mention the big icesheet. He is not scared to see someone around, but he would not ike to have optics watching him. He siple started to pick everything that woud be in his priorities before he can see his GB.

Some minutes took before the GB was seen on that cavity, so far away from the surface. The slimes and the plataform took everything inside the GB while Catetron continued picking the smaller tools by his own. he started to read the letters writen in the instruments, and many of them shared thow particular words that weren't located in his database. Конфедерация Мирpатринии The rest of the tools shared the same kind of odd lyrics used in them. Catetron made a quick scan of them and diggend in his procesor with fruitless results. Before to send his slimes to take the screen of the ship to the labratory, , he tried to turn it on and see the last things that the ship recorded. In there weren't any light turned on, but the sound of the half breaked radio started to play the next serie of words like a loop. The voices sounded worried regardless the meaning of those words: Спасите наши души....Спасите наши души....Спасите наши души...Спасите наши душиThe mech wanted to know more about the datta stored in the ship, but he is facing a kind of dialect that hasn't been stored in his database. the fact to see something he lacks of information makes his mind to get in shcok for small lapses of times. Catetron instead to loose time at understanding the meaning of those gliphs he picked everything he could. Aparently, he hasn't got any kind of interruption in his extractive operation, and he hopes things continue so. The plataform and the smiles returned to take the rest of the usefull ship pieces, with Catetron still staring at those words. He placed the tools he was holding with his servos at the plataform as he hurried to find the CPUs of the ship more than anything, anyway, his machines were doing the most escencial things right now. Curring metalplates and cables Catetron started to look for his new sudden objetive. At first he found a bit confused since the structure of the machines found followed a diferent estructure than the standar cybertronian ships. it looked too cybertronian, but at the same time they looked too apart from it, like if another alien race where doing it. Taking a couple of minutes more than expected, he found some cubes with some port that aparently where the CPUs. catetron stored them quickly like if he where holding something really important. Even himself doesn't know that it could be more important that his expectatives can calculate. The slimes made everything to extract the ship engines and carry them to the plataform, the same with another devices like security systems and so. The floating pyramid started to go further to only found the pieces of the aparently corpses of the former gruop of mechanoids that arrived to the Earth. He used his syringes to extract those valuable CNA samples. Everytime he looked at the motionless bodies he would confirm they diferent relation from the standard cybertronians. Once he got done with that he felt more than eager to return to the base and examinate everything he found, but he had to supervise his machines to keep everything in control..

Nobody came. Those were good news to the scientist. It gave him enough time to extract the most vital parts ot the ship, the remains are some pieces of the corpses and the main structure of the ship. It wasn't dismantled due the big sizes of the pieces. Catetron was like if he were going to shopping, his hands full of weird artifacts, and the same with his slimes and plataform.
He left the place witht his personal groundbridge, hiding again in the deeps of his ownlab. Looking back at the now empty ship, catetron would need a bit of intelectual help that can't be provided by his own machines. Knowing the big afluence that the planet is passing right now he maybe will have to looks for one of his known ones. He teached many of the engineers of Cybertron, and he has the hope one of them wanders around the globe at elast, a competitive one.
