Located below the roots of the Great Tree and on a cliffside overlooking the ocean, this spacious home has been home to the Lockhearts for generations, upon generations, UPON generations! If the rock walls could talk, they would tell the tales of the family's past. The entrance to the home is hidden behind a waterfall that also provides the warm water for the baths of the home, inside is a lot of different rooms for at least three generations of the family to live in at a time, living room, kitchen and baths.

It had taken him a while to reach the island of Horizan, especially after his studies at the academy in Chela, scaling the cliff face was tougher for those preferring bipedal movement. This whole city was full of flying formed Eukarians.
Arriving at the home of the Windwarrior and Lockheart family was a figure wearing a long red leather jacket, his paint scheme, orange and black. Shoulders wide, a set of exhausts poking out of his back. He was cybertronian looking, yet of Eukarian descent.
He got to the waterfall and soon found his way to the home.

Dezmis was in his mini workshop, sharpening the almost mythical blade that gave the Windwarriors themselves their names. It hummed a bit at the TLC it was getting from the elder master that the sword had served for so long. As he cared and tended to the sword, it's humming got louder and louder. This caused Dezmis to look up as the door opened, he knew who it was, there was only one other the sword would greet as eagerly as it did for him, he then says as he wipes the blade with wax.
"I'm back here my boy! Come on through!"

The figure entered, his jacket swaying behind him as he walked in through the house, filled with old memories of his childhood when he and his sister visited, this was Burnout's family's home, or at least the grandparents. Who lived in Horizan.
It feels great to be back in Horizan and to be back here!

Windwarrior gets up and pokes his head out from his workshop door, smiling as he saw his grandson. They grow up so fast don't they? He steps out and opens his arm for a hug with a huge smile.
"And its good to have you back son! You let your mother know where you went this time right?"

Burnout hugged his grandfather, who stood much taller than him. He nodded a little and took a step back.
Yeah, they know where I've gone, but I thought you already knew of what happened with mom.

He slaps himself in the face, he had clean forgot his mum was gallivanting off on Cybertron on behalf of the government. He sighs loudly as a bit of smoke comes out of his mouth from his dragon breath.
"Sorry my boy, I clean forgot. Blame the old cogs in the noggin not working as smartly as they did in my youth haha! Enjoy your youth while it lasts Burnout. Still no word from her on that forsaken planet? I thought your father would have heard from her and the Autobots by now..."
He looked concerned at this, he guessed maybe the long range comms weren't working anymore unlike when Feenix was originally sent out of there as a scruffy young femme.

I've seen Dad spend days just sitting at his desk waiting to receive a signal from Cybertron. I bet he'd even try and get the spacebridge working just to get back to Cybertron. We all knew he wanted to go instead of Mom.
Burnout sighed.
We all miss her, but I'm sure nothing bad has happened.

Dezmis frowns at hearing this, Gearchange reminded the old dragon of a Turbofox, loyal till the end, sat at the door waiting for its owner or best friend to come home and missed them terribly till they returned. It was rather sad to hear that Gearchange was so sad and wasn't (probably) permitted to go to Cybertron instead or as well as.
"I miss her too son, I'm just as concerned. Granted I know she can take care of herself, but Cybertron was wrecked, a wasteland, different dangers now. Poor Gearchange, he should have been permitted, I don't see why he wasn't! Unless Eurakis is still enacting that one per family to war rule again? Even then... Gearchange was and still is her bodyguard! I question our own government's thought processes sometimes."
He realises he was rambling and patted Burnout's shoulder.
"She'll be in contact soon, she's probably beating those Decepticons black and blue as we speak... or dealing with the annoyance of command, take your pick. She'll be back before you and Wild's trials."

What can you tell me about the trials? I know you've taught me a lot already, but what trials are there for me to take?
Burnout was eager to learn more from Windwarrior, who was his mentor in a way, when he wasn't at the academy or at home. He'd often find time to spend with his grandparents, learning all he could about his more Eukarian side.

The frown turned into a smile and he sighs in a happy way, the eagerness to learn and the respect for the grandparents, something lost on the young whippersnappers now. He was glad Burnout was a very good lad, well brought up by his parents, he was proud of the future Windwarrior.
"There is four my boy: The hunting, the triathlon of all terrains, the combat of war and the contact with the ancients. The hunting will be during a migration of prey, you need to bring back the head of a stag. The triathlon combines sky, sea, ground and mountain, mashlands, long grasses the lot. The combat will be against the current champion if the name is drawn from the ball to be pitted against the champion, otherwise it will be against another student or soldier. Your mother had to do that a few times cause she still is the current Champ of the Skies. And contact with the ancients lets you go into the heart of this world and discover your ancestors and our Gods Chela and Onyx himself."

Well the fighting one doesn't sound so bad. Were there other trials too? I'm not a skilled hunter like Wildfire. Combat and relic seeking are my strengths, without a beast mode I think I might struggle in that run too.

Wind thinks about this as he puts his sword back into its holder, he had seen many of a trial in his lifetime, each was different indeed. Some had less trials, some had more. Some years were tougher than others. The yearly event was always a good event to watch and gave an idea of future trials.
"They change it every year Burnout, some include finding treasure, saving a loved one, stealing an item and not getting caught, wrestling a wild beast without weapons... I'm sure I'm forgetting some of them."
