Nines cracked a grin as Whirl brought in his own scenario, and as Nines successfully encouraged all the loose cords out of their pipes. He could mend the nervous system and the tendons from here. After that he's just be fusing Whirl's layers of metal back together. Well. After a few test runs. " I've only known that flashy racer for a few minutes, but I don't think he was scared. If he was scared he would've been shaking with that gun--but it wasn't. He was holding it like a soldier does when he's about to shoot an enemy." Nines told the mech, looping a small wire loosely around a strand of tendon from Whirl's arm and claw. He began fusing it together carefully. Mmmh-hmm. You're in for a lecture alright.
" Yes--I'd be to blame for your death. The gun wouldn't be the killer, though it was used to kill. I'd be responsible for my actions." Nines went onto reconnecting the nervous cords in a more delicate manner than he had the tendons, " Just like I'm in charge of what I do, you're in control of what you do. If you're acting like a nut-job, then do you think people are gonna respect you for doing that?" Nines finished his job with the nervous wires, moving onto his cables. it was a relief that Whirl wasn't injured beyond his arm, considering how much work Nines had performed on Empress.

"If he wasn't scared, he wouldn't tink he needed da gun," Whirl replied calmly, "You ain't gonna believe me Doc, but I ain't never pulled a gun on another Autobot. Guns ain't for intimidatin'. Dey are for killin'. What happens if dat pretentious asshole calls your bluff and don't leave, Doc? Do ya pull da trigger on an unarmed jerk? Den you're a killer - and you wasn't ready for it. Everybody says 'Well, ya didn't have no choice, he was bein' such an asshole', but up here..." he taps his helm with his good claw, "Up here, ya just wish ya could take dat shot back. And ya keep wishin', and wishin', until one day ya realise dat your whole life has become dat one moment."Still, the second half of Nines' lecture seemed to strike a little chord as he moves to make the repairs easier for Nines to reach. "I keep makin' mistakes," he told Nines, "It may surprise ya to know dat I don't like messin' up. It kinda makes my head hurt. And den people get mad at me and it hurts worse... Like, on da inside."

Nines continued to listen to Whirl while he restored th mech's connection to his claw. Fiber by fiber, wire by wire, cable by cable. With narrowed eyes and steady hands, Nines pieced the helicopter up as gracefully as he could. Whirl wouldn't feel any pain all the while, though to Nines's delight his servos would begin to twitch as they rediscovered their routes to Whirl's processor. " I have a hard time trust people Whirl. But for now I'll pretend to take your word for it." Nines answered mildly. It looked true enough, since the mech looked like he could easily strange someone alive, or rip them to shreds with his bare hands. Still. Nines didn't fully know what expect out of this mech. Which was fair, since Nines didn't know him much. "I'd like to say Wheelspin wouldn't have killed you. I did indicate he might have--but I'd like to say he wouldn't have. Killing you just because he was tired and annoyed wouldn't have been a likely outcome. He would have hurt you. But not killed you." Nines said neutrally, though it was clear he was listening to Whirl. Nines's hands continued to work as his work with the nervous system and cables was complete, and it was onto sealing Whirl's arm up. Layer by layer, he would. A few new slates of metal would have to be placed on, but Nines had just the materials. So Whirl's arm would be reconnected firmly indeed, as the latter bit of the operation came.
"No one likes messing up Whirl ." Nines answered him, "You may be a 'nut job', but I don't think you're doomed to fail. You're in charge of your actions. You're going to mess up, but you don't have to." Nines told the mech, glad he'd struck a chord. He reached over to connect an energon line to Whirl, deciding it was okay to give the mech some fresh energy now that his operation was almost complete. Whirl's own words on how much he seemed to care did make Nines feel a little satisfied with how the mech was acting. While a part of him was a still a little irritated at Whirl for messing around in the garage, he was beginning to feel able to forgive the mech.

"If Wheelspin drew his weapon without intendin' to kill me, den he was usin' it wrong and should have his weapons taken off him and used ta pistol-whip him 'til he can't speak," Whirl told Nines firmly, "But nobody tinks he's a threat, oh no. Whirl's da only monster around here..." He tilts his optic at Nines, "I can see it in yer optics, Doc. You tink I'm a monster really. Respect works both ways, and I ain't seen much of it since I wound up with dese," he held up his claws, "Whirl, da criminal. Whirl, da loony. Whirl, da animal. Whirl, da killer. Whirl, da monster what is eventually gonna turn on us all. On 'person ya want ta punch' day, let's all come as Whirl, it's okay cuz Whirl's comin' as himself, it's funny cuz it's true, let's all laugh at the deranged psychopath, ha-ha."
He moved slightly again, "Ya doin' a pretty sweet job dough, Doc."

" We both can agree Wheelspin wasn't using his weapon correctly. I'll leave it at that." Nines answered, wielding Whirl's armor together, working his way to the last layer. He wondered if after Whirl there was any patients that needed to be tended to. Well, he knew he'd have to clean up some energon. Nines glanced at the sequences of puddles of energon. He'd have to clean those up soon. Nines finished the last layer of plating just then and there. But he wasn't done. He pulled out a grinder, beginning to smooth out the streak-like bumps in Whirl's armor where the mending had occurred. He was quick yet careful as he super-sanded the metal into it's original shape without grinding it too thin. " I don't think you're a monster Whirl. What I've indicated is that I believe you aren't entirely responsible." Nines answered, though he wasn't speaking coldly to the mech at all. He switched out his grinder's disk for something that would be of smoother grain, and set back to polishing the metal until it would at last seam as if no wielding had ever occurred. " Sometimes it's not your fault that people don't like you. But it's never too late to give them a reason to think twice." Nines advised, as he progressed to the final smoothing stage. He held up his own claw-like servo in the air, " Whirl, maybe there was some spoiled generation out there that judged you based on your hands and optic, but I think that generation's not around. Otherwise, would Wheelspin not have turned down my help?" Nine clanked his grabber arm. " To the Chaos Bringer with that thinking. To the Primus fragged Chaos Bringer." Nines paused, " And thanks. You're free to go now." Nines finished the buffing, and unplugged Whirl.

Whirl tested his wrist, spinning it around quickly, then snapped his claws experimentally. He wasn't entirely convinced by Nines. One little chat wasn't going to undo the damage of millenia of predjudice. But he had definitely calmed down a lot. Really, inside that angular, obnoxious plating beat the spark of a ten year old girl with dual machine guns and a bad attitude towards authority. "Not bad, Doc," he told Nines , sounding faitly grateful, "My neck ain't hurtin' right now either...""I still wanna see da Pred," he spoke stubbornly, "Everybody deserves visitors."

While one talk couldn't turn a mech completely around after millennia of hardships and possibly plenty of self-inflected wounds, Nines did believe one talk could open the door to a new way of thinking, or offer someone a chance to consider an alternate way of life. it was a start--and sometimes that was all someone needed. Nines thus took a rag to clean his servos, eying the rest of his dusty form. He could definitely use some polishing up. His thin skeletal frame could also use some replacement parts, again. He eyed one of his knee-cap guards thoughtfully. It was very round wide, almost to a slightly agitating degree. He appreciated the design of his other knee joint armor a little better. it was more compact and angular. " Hmm." Nines stroked his chin, before snapping back to reality with Whirl's words. "You're welcome Whirl." He nodded, " The predicon might need time to recover, as I've said. We replaced and fixed a great deal of her body. Not to mention, she's acting like--" Nines searched for words, " Like she isn't entirely sentient. Not that her life isn't valued, but what I'm trying to say is she might try to bite, scratch, or maybe even attempt eating you." Nines recalled her interaction with Whirl while he'd been with her. he seemed to like her, but Nines was beginning to wonder if the relationship was mutual. " I'm not sure if I can get Wheelspin to conjure up a pass for you, but I believe another officer could. Just don't force your way in, whatever you do." Nines told Whirl, though it was almost as if he completely expected Whirl to. Nines then eyed the puddles of energon left behind. With a hand full of rags, he moved to kneel down and clean up the energon here and there. It wouldn't take long, but it needed to be done.

"Wheelspin ain't a medic," Whirl replied, "And I wouldn't respect him if he was. He's an engineer, which explains his bedside manner. Ask him, and he'll just tell everybody ta not let me in, just because," Whirl tilts his head, "But you're a doctor, Ay, Nines? And she's a patient. Has anybody said you can't visit her yet?" he asked, his voice sounding sly, "Cus y'know, a non-doctor bein' da only one with access to an injured prisoner... dat's against regulations. I should know; I've broken most of 'em."

Nines had gone through the hallways and back cleaning up the puddles of energon. It was now as if Whirl had never leaked his energon at all. Nines rose to full height, stretching his back as his claw-arm gripped his side, his spine arching backwards. Small cracking noises were made as Nines grunted in relief, " Ah." he resumed his regular stance, just before Whirl began his reply. Nines stared at Whirl carefully. The mech appeared to be determined to visit the femme. He had developed some sort of deep obsession and or care for her for some reason. Nines again wasn't entirely sure why, but he wouldn't ask Whirl since it wasn't his business. " I'm a doctor alright Whirl, but the problem is I only made my appearance a few hours ago. Other variables to the equation are that I don't know everything about my patient, and I'd rather take safer approaches to this femme. I think she needs space right now." Nines told Whirl, " I can, however, see what I can do to get you a visit after he small recovery period. But if I'm going to try that, then I'm going to need you to not force your way to her." Nines said to Whirl, though he was unsure if Whirl was going to actually make good on the bargain. Nines didn't hate Whirl, but he didn't know if he could rightly trust the mech either. Nines resisted the panicked thought of wondering if he could rightly trust any Autobot in the first place, considering how he had yet to examine everyone around him. Just pretend to trust them for now, and focus on the guy right here. Nines refocused, though his body language didn't indicate any detours in his focus.

"Okay!" Whirl stated cheerfully. That seemed a little too easy to Nines . Whirl might try and force his way to visit the Predacon. Or he might not. Still, he wouldn't try to hide it if he does. And assuming that he's lying and flat out refusing to help is just going to result in him trying harder... Whirl seemed to spot the doubtful look Nines was casting at him. "Oh, okay," he groaned, "I guess..."Yeah, that was more like it. Whirl stood up, peering at his wrist, "Everybody's in da Command Center now anyway."

Nines eyes Whirl form behind his visor suspiciously as the mech adjusted his response, from a vibrant one to something of a sigh. Nines wondered how intelligent Whirl actually thought the medic was. Nines just shook his helm slightly, " I'm glad you've agreed to be sensible. Someone who doesn't force their way through security deserves a pass." Nines answered back casually, putting away his tools, organizing them a little as he did so that he could return to his medical bay with it being clean and organized--or at least ready it for another patient. As unlikely as it was, Nines never knew precisely how many people in the base gravitated towards inflicting self-pain. He wasn't acting snobby in front of Whirl, and didn't mean to come across that way. But however, he wasn't going to stop Whirl if Whirl went about his business, but he wasn't going to let Whirl get away with going against his words easily. His tone did echo the one that spoke of actions having consequences in the faintest way. With the mess cleaned up, Nines continued cleaning himself up a little more, ridding himself of dust or small bits of rust. " The command room. Mph." Nines muttered as he continued polishing his scrappy form up some. He didn't like the feeling of dirt, and now he would make sure his mis-matched form was at least clean, though it wouldn't be "pretty" to the normal optic. Nines looked to the side. " You go on. I'll catch up soon enough." Nines told Whirl, confident he'd have a run in with the mech again sometime soon.

"Heh, yeah, see ya soon, Doc."
As Whirl nodded and left the Med-Bay, he considered going to find the Pred femme anyway. He wasn't convinced he'd get a pass before Wheelspin did something nasty to her in the name of doing what was best for her.
Then again, Nines had told him that he'd try, and that Whirl might deserve one. That was better than nothing. Then again, a kick in the face was better than nothing. Then again it'd be nice to see the look on Wheelspin's face when he got permission to see her anyway. Yeah, he could wait a bit for that.
He jogged to the Command Center.

Nines had caste a weary nod at Whirl.
Though his time with the Autobots had only but begun, Nines already felt a little weary. A nap was sounded enticing. He sighed as he continued to clean his nooks and crannies by hand. Most of the bots had gathered in the command room, but Nines preferred his medbay. It was quieter, calmer, and nicer. And frankly cleaner. The Autotroopers had done a great deal of polishing the place up. Nines found himself going through tools and supplies, freeing them of dust and rust alike with his utensils. Time became unreality as he sorted the things in the medbay, making sure everything was precisely where it needed to be.
He clicked his pipe into the nook of his mask, exhaling through it peacefully as he continued his work. He took this time to think on the things that had just happened around him. He'd fixed a predicon, a reckless helicopter former, all the while helping out a flashy racer.
He wondered if there were any sort of...'heroic' Autobots out there. Autobots who knew what was right and wrong, and fought the good fight because they knew it was for the greater good. He hoped that there still were, since he felt times had changed Autobots. He'd just encountered Autobots who he couldn't exactly claim to meet those standards. he'd only known them for a little while, but he just wished there was an Autobot out there he could trust to do what was right--trust like he had a certain someone in the past.
No one will ever be like Jyrice. Nines shook his helm. It's unrealistic for me to expect them to be like her anyways.
Nines thought to himself. His own heroes had long since passed away, unfortunately. It was then his scanners picked up on a lone energon signature outside. Nines waited as a full minute dragged away. Everyone seemed to be occupied in the command room. Looks like I'm going for a walk then. It read Autobot, and so he'd go out to fix it if need be. It was his job. With that, Nines began clanking his way for the garage and beyond.

Rose laughed a bit, her laugh was genuine. she was smiling softly, "no by the time i started i was tossed in with all other warriors in training"she said this and gave a crocked half smile, the femme was then silent and looked at the medic, "i never did catch your name, or if i have i've already forgotten" she said and frowned apologeticly Nines and Lightrose entered the medical bay as @lightspeed completed her small apology. Nines released a small grunt in return, though it was unclear whether he was slightly amused or annoyed. The medical bay however was something that could be easily seen: Unlike the incredibly dusty or rest parts of the base, Nines had spent time cleaning and organizing the current room he introduced her to. " Heh, well we've all got loved ones we didn't get to appreciate enough. Hind sight is always twenty-twenty." the medic said, already seeking out a small amount of tools. He turned for a moment, gesturing her to sit on a berth with a wave of his good hand. " I'm called Nines. It's alright that you didn't remember. Numbers for a name isn't exactly something common." Nines shrugged. " Now--" he walked over to her, inspecting her shoulder, placing his secondary visor over his eyes. " Let's see if we've that kind of material."

Rose entered the room and sat down on an empty berth, the femme felt mildly uncomfortable, she had never been a fa of med bay and when she could avoid it she did. "Nines should be easy to remember through" he said and smiled softly then fell silent trying not t fidget.

((Do you want the arm to be repaired, or do you want it to remain a battle scar?)) Nines gave Lightrose a side glance, " I'd suppose it just comes down to memory." Nines mused, unable to help himself from referring to the irony of him giving his name to her once again before her telling him it would be easy to remember. Likely the slight guilt of that would keep it in her head. Nines chuckled, as he pulled along side some tools that he knew might mend the armor. " Hmm. You were definitely raised in the armed forces. I must say, I was growing a little worried about how much Autobots valued manners." Nines said thoughtfully, "The patients and folks I've been dealing with seem to be mostly made of--" He searched for words, " --exuberant personality types." Nines decided the word worked well enough to fit the mechs that came to his mind. He reached for a small rag to start cleaning the wound, careful not to cause too much pain--though it looked so worn that he wondered if she could feel in her arm as much as she could the other. " How long have you had this injury exactly?" He inquired.

the scar was one of he features so id say probably just leave it but its up to you what you wanna do idk)
Rose smiled a bit, "manners are a big thing to me i find it easier to be polite than rude"she said and gave a soft smile. the girl sat silently and heard the later question, "many years i've had it since my first battle" she said and sighed softly and was silent then, she sat as still as possible.

((I'll leave it be for the most part.))
"Many years alright...goodness why didn't a medic look at this sooner." Nines furrowed his brows. The metal was a battlescar alright, and Nines wasn't sure if he could mend it in one go. The ages had caused the metal to stubbornly harden in its position. Her EM field had grown accustomed to it long ago. He couldn't force the metal back together, and scans indicated that it could be hazardous to take the entire shoulder padding off. He had the time, but when wounds were given a long time to stay--sometimes damage was simply permanent.
"Manners are a good thing to have around here. Try hard to keep them intact." Nines advised, as he took a piece of metal that he believed matched the alloys of her shoulder armor, before carving it into the right shape with his fusion cutter. He then placed the wedge of metal into the first layer of the huge gap, trying to set about blending it into the metal around it as best he could.
"I'm not gonna be able to repair you entirely. This is going to take a long time if you want your armor back to full capacity. Whatever hit you got into your nerves, and seriously messed up your shoulder plating. Other than taking it easy with healing it over time--the only other solution would be an amputation." Nines told her. "The latter I will not do, unless you'd like me to." Of course she wouldn't. Nobody simply thought about getting a new arm replacement within the same second they were told it had/could be done. People often needed time.
He tried to smooth out the new armor piece into the layer of her arm. It would be at least a small defense against someone having an easy shot at her internals, or her inner workings. Nines hated the thought of a mischievous sniper aiming for the giant gap in her. A well placed round and someone might be able to shred her through. He could be wrong though. She'd lasted this long.

"there wasnt a medic around to look at it sooner or i already would have had it examined" she sighed softly then and was looking at the bot, she sighed softly, and was now silent she heard the later statement and froze, "I'm rather attached to this arm and would like to keep it" she said and then was silent once more looking at the ground.

Trudging in came the newly appointed Sergeant Diamond, holding a little blue sparkling at her side. Her wounds sparked violently, but for the most part the energon lines had stopped leaking precious life fluid all over. The most damage was on her arm, looking mangled and burned from an explosion Tarn had inflicted.
”Fragging bastard... As soon as I get the chance I’ll kill him...” She growled to herself, inspecting the Medbay before finding a place to rest herself down on. Dia placed Aqua next to her on the berth, and inspected him a little just to make sure he wasn’t damaged in any way, again.
