Wheelspin had amped up the music he was listening to, while he worked, since when he had begun. It was not going to be quick, what with the materials that were needed to be shaped or found and fused together, but at least the idea itself and the design were coming along fine. He'd done some of these things before, or at least something similar to them. When the alarms began blaring he didn't even seem to hear them, and just continued on with the construction. It was a short while later, at about the time they died down that he looked up.
"Oh. It began already? " He muttered more to himself than anyone else. "And I told him. It's not for the lack of WARNING him that it's going to happen. But did the Prime do anything to prepare? No. He did not even warn the others to prepare or be on alert." His mutter was rather quiet, barely audible and in parts it was made harder to understand simply because he was annoyed with their Prime's 'competence' to register a true danger and act accordingly to it. He reached over to the datapad that he had next to him while he adjusted the pattern or the model from time to time and typed into it. He looked up at the model again, then down at the pad.
:: Thunder, I haven't got it all finished, but I might be needed outside of the base since it the Cons were so kind to confirm my information true. I assume you're going out there to fight anyway, so fine if you get the whole lot after battle?:: He sent to the mech glancing at the amount of work that was close to completion. He would need more time but right now there was a greater urgency elsewhere. He collected some of the tools and smaller bits and pieces he'd been working on to store them in his chassis. He did not expect the base to be attacked, but one could never be too sure, plus, he did not trust the quasi scientist that the Prime had gotten. When the 'scientist's' first achievement was to blow off his arm with is own invention, one needed to wonder about how skilled they really were, at least in his opinion. Thunder
Now the new medic, she was an entirely different story. She'd done work, and prepped up the medbay, as far as he could see, up to a very fine standard. Of course her true proof of character would be once she was under stress, in the field, with the Autobots dying left and right, while in need of repair. They had Ratchet around now too and he was old guard. He'd know what to do. He'd known enough about the medic, probably seen some too, to know the mech would save lives too.
After a short while of picking, removing and storing the things in the medbay and adjoining workshop he left it, heading down the hall of the base. He had sent a report to ShadowZone and the team back at the rafinery on what was going on. After that, and stopping to fetch some more ammunition and charges for his weapons, additional energon if it was needed, leave what he did not need safe and out of the way, he had finally reached the 'Lobby'.
