BASICS
Designation : CT-999
Nicknames: Nines, Niners, Niner
Gender : Mech
Faction : Autobot
Occupation : Medic
Personality :
Nines is the most laid back ex-decepticon anyone could hope to meet. He’s incredibly easy going about almost everything he does, though he can be quick to anger whenever anyone starts telling him what he already knows in regards to his work. Micro-managing is the fastest way to blow Nines’s top off, although he’s just as fast to move towards peace if someone else is willing.
To those around him, it will become known how much he likes to make dry, sarcastic remarks, or ironic comparisons when it comes to the past and future, or people. His tongue is as sharp as his wit, and it’s not uncommon for him to give someone a thorough verbal lashing.
Musing aside, Nines has a warmer part to his whole. He genuinely cares for mostly everyone around him. He loves people, as much as he doesn’t trust them. Deep down in his scarred heart of hearts, he enjoys being of service. He prefers mercy over killing when he can, but that side of him is buried deep inside a bitter survivor.
When he’s not a doctor though, Nines’s favorite past time is to delve into philosophy, and enjoys speculating on ideals—both Autobot ones and Decepticons.
APPEARANCE
Optic ( Eye ) Color : Unknown
Primary Paint Color : Gun-metal grey
Secondary Paint Color[Optional] : Faint silver
Third Color[Optional] : Bronze
Height : 22 ft
Features:
* His helicopter’s cockpit transforms into his back-pack, and though one would think the glass of the windshields would give away what’s within his pack, a sheet of metal covers what’s within.
*An extra visor can slide over the one he often wears for surgical purposes. It has several scarlet stripes.
*His right arm is actually a plier-like mechanism—a replacement for a hand.
*His form isn’t symmetrical, and it seems that he has had various replacement parts over the years. He’s made of a host of different metals.

Equipment and Abilities
Weaponry :
Heavy Pistol: The only and main weapon is his heavy-pistol, a weapon good at punching through medium to light armor extremely well. It's range is decent, and its accuracy is fantastic. It holds a surprising amount of ammunition as well.
Gadgets :
Back-pack:
Nines’s heavy-duty built in back-pack carries a hoard of tools, random pieces of scrap, half-made grenades, random kinds of completed grenades, spare parts, and medical tools. The Backpack he bares is very much a part of his body. Seperating Nines from his pack would mean to kill him.
Multi-vision visor:
This extra visor is something Nines slides over his current visor for either enhanced telescopic vision, or microscope-like vision for analyzing wounds and handling surgeries. This also has a night-vision setting, though it’s the least used, since Nines seldom gets into fights.
Abilities :
However, it’s a tricky process to reconnect his limbs if he is to try to un-cuff himself. For instance, if he separates his hand from his wrist, it does take a precious minute or two for him to get that limb re-attached.
OTHER
History :
Nines is an echo of something that once was, something long forgotten. There is little known about Nines, save that he may have been preserved in stasis on more than one occasion.
Rumor has it he was originally some sort of Quintesson attempt at creating a cybertronian, and has been modified and adjusted so many thousands of times that what he originally looked like has long since been forgotten.
Other stories point to him being some sort of survivor from another time in Cybertronian history, someone who was placed in stasis and awoke just recently.
More tales tell of a mech who’s hidden disguised himself as something else, and is too ashamed of what he once was to show his face again, hence the mask.
The only thing that is confirmed is that Nines is an ex-Decepticon. Whatever his job was, he has an uncanny amount of technical-know-how, but prefers fixing things. Regardless, whatever closet Nines keeps his skeletons in has yet to be found. But he does know a suspicious quantity of information about a great deal of things.
Strengths :
Medical knowledge: Nines’s technical-know-how in the field of Cybertronian repair is only everso slightly rusty. He knows what he’s doing, and he is confident about what he does. Him and his inventory of doo-hickies are a force to be reckoned with when it comes to a dying patient.
Practical skills: Nines is superb when it comes to logic, philosophy, and most kinds of reasoning. He knows the effect of words, and he can zero-in on what words mechs and femmes live by. He is almost always up for cracking the puzzle of someone’s imagination, and is continually fascinated by psychology.
Compassion: Nines is gruff, but he’s also someone who’d sooner spare someone than kill them. He values life as all Autobot medics do, and resents mass-genocide…though he’s not afraid of using his heavy pistol at all.
Ex-martial artist(?): Few know, but Nines is very capable of defending himself. He’s developed his own kind of fighting style, though mainly it resolves around being patient with his opponent. His reflexes are a little rusty though. He hardly fights, and avoid fights for the most part.
Weaknesses :
NOT suited for combat: Nines can be a good fighter, but there’s just a few problems: He mostly avoids fighting, and is a bit out of practice with his defensive maneuvers. Secondly, his body just isn’t made to take hits. He’s decorated with weak-spots. Cables, cords and gaps in his armor offer a host of opportunities for those who are experts in combat. Especially his shins. Since they consist of his rotors and a large piston, a simple strike can hinder his flight ability.
Reluctant: Nines can be quick to figure something out just like a professional detective, but often times he’s slow to do anything about his discoveries. He keeps much to himself, and part of that reason is he doesn’t think he can trust too many with what information he has. Nines is used to sitting back and watching it all play out. If someone needs help on a mission, unless it is absolutely imperative that the mission is done, Nines likely won’t ever offer his assistance. Nines considers himself a liability when it comes to assisting in any sort of quest, because of what’s occurred in his past and because he’s aware of his weaknesses.
Trust problems: Nines has a knack for knowing who and when to trust someone. But for the most part, he doesn’t trust too many people, unless he’s already figured them out. Although sometimes if he has, it gives him more of a reason to not trust them. His trust issues greatly contribute to him doing little about anything he suspects.
Not stealthy: Nines isn’t a mech who can slip through the shadows. One can often hear Nines when close, how his systems ex-vent and inhale, how he makes a small handful of noises as he functions. All those modifications and replacement parts come at a cost.
Compact: Nines’s body has small back-ups for some systems here and there, but for the most part, it’s easy to injure him. His body’s a bit of a mess when it comes to all those inter-locking and re-arranged systems, and all the replacements he’s experienced. He’s very wounded whenever hit essentially anywhere.
Difficult to repair: Nines has very ‘unique’ anatomy as indicated above, and though that does have it’s small benefits, it’s an absolute nightmare to restore.
Rest: Nines seems to always be slightly tired. In truth he has a small love for naps, and spends a good portion of his off-hours doing nothing after a long days work. His system also simply needs rest more than regular cybertronians.
