BASICS
Designation : Airwatcher
Nicknames: Air, Airwatch,
Gender : Mech
Faction : Decepticon
Occupation : Scout
Personality : Airwatcher dislikes authority, or rules in general. He prefers a limitless playing field usually as limitless as the sky he so often flies in. Airwatcher thinks of himself as unruly, though at times he can be slightly predictable when it comes to what he’s going to do.
Airwatcher isn’t all for speed though. He enjoys aspects of wildlife, and is a romantic when it comes to star-gazing. He loves beautiful things, and finds value in life. Though a strange attribute for a Decepticon, he has pacifist-like natures. He will kill if he has to, however for the most part he avoids it. He keeps his quiet time to himself, and makes sure no Decepticon knows that he spends great time admiring life around him, and sometimes softly singing to himself.
Time in the Decepticon armies has roughened the seeker up though. In an instant, his gentleness can be turned into a cutting-sharp harshness when it comes to words. Airwatcher knows how words work, and can tear someone down extremely quickly sometimes knowing precisely what to say to someone in order for them to shrink back in despair. He’s learned to be manipulative, knows how to lie, and how to pretend.
He can be as dangerous as he is friendly.
APPEARANCE
Optic ( Eye ) Color : Mischievous Lime Green
Primary Paint Color : Olive green
Secondary Paint Color[Optional] : Genuine silver
Third Color[Optional] : Light grass green
Height : 23' 3"
Features:
-Airwatcher’s face is hidden behind an angular mask. Unlike most protective breathing masks, the mask is designed to be sleek. The entire top half is made of a hard shaded green glass material Airwatcher can look out of without worrying about anyone seeing half his face. It’s something that is a solid olive green and silver, designed to help him breath, and to comfort him with the thought of how cool he looks with it on.
-Airwatcher’s body is sleek, designed for speed, and clearly made so he can move around with ease. There is not one time that his body looks like it can’t perform some acrobatics.
-Rather than thick and bulky seeker wings, Airwatcher’s wings are thin and blade-like. They cannot actually cut, but they look like incredibly long katanas attached to incredibly powerful thrusters.
Alternative Mode:
Equipment and Abilities
Weaponry :
Katana: Twin swords are Airwatcher favorite weapons. These blades are made to deal out clean and precise cuts, all the while being able to withstand heavy blows. Airwatcher loves performing crazy stunts with them. Good thing too, because they couldn’t be made of finer quality materials, the finest katanas money can buy. (These elegant blades were acquired after delivering so many expensively private personal messages)
Gatling Guns:
Airwatcher’s hands can transform into fast-firing blasters that send lasers flying at an enemy at a rate about as insane as Airwatcher’s stunts. (They’re probably illegally acquired) Despite how well they can deal damage to medium and hard armor, they overheat easily, and eat through cartridges rapidly.
Gadgets :
Grappling Hook: A nifty device designed to launch an incredibly strong cable with a sharp end towards an object. Once the sharp end of the cable is secure, it allows users to thrust themselves or swing themselves from or towards a direction.
Mask: Airwatecher's helmet allows him to vent properly in almost any given environment. it automatically adjusts to whatever setting he enters, and is in perfect sync with the rest of his body. It can assist in tuning his audios and is fantastic at establishing com-lines and creating new (private) frequencies.
Abilities :
Transformation: Airwatcher’s t-cog is something to be envied with most transformers: he can switch between his alternate mode and his robot mode at least two seconds faster than most cybertronians. His T-cog is superb, and seems to be especially well made.
OTHER
History :
Airwatcher was a free-spirited mech all his life, little has changed him over time as he’s traveled through the galaxies. Airwatcher was originally supposed to be a messenger for Government of Cybertron, and speed his way through the galaxy from one civilization to the next, delivering private orders or advice from his superiors. Secret frequencies were a cliché’ and thus, the few that knew of Airwatcher’s purpose used him thoroughly.
Airwatcher’s occupation took him many places, and from those thousands of systems he visited, he gleaned many kinds of languages and cultures.
However, one fateful day when the war on Cybertron did break out, Airwatcher returned after a long errand to find his employers murdered. Since he had been quite detached from his own world, but it only took a few hours to realize what had transpired.
He briskly joined the Decepticons, deciding that his priorities would work better with his life as a Decepticon Scout. Thus the laid back speeding seeker landed into the faction, hoping his career as a scout would allow him to have as many liberties as possible~
Strengths :
Speedster:
Airwatcher has spent at the very least half of his life in the skies of Cybertron. He is as lightweight as he can be for his former task: galactic messenger. Airwatcher’s wings and thrusters have carried him from all across Cybertron to Cybertrons moons to even places like Quintessa. He can go up to thousands of miles fast if given the time to build up momentum. However, he can only do so in space. In actual planets, thanks to atmospheres, he can only go so fast before he rips himself to pieces. He still has no problem building up momentum quickly though.
Swordsman:
Airwatcher keeps twin Katanas on his person. The job ‘messenger’ sounds like a relatively harmless occupation. However, many aliens including Cybertronians ‘shoot the messenger’, hence, Airwatcher uses several forms of defense, including his swords. He is an extremely gifted swordsman, with great reflexes, and knows at least three different arts of swordsmanship. Traveling around the galaxy teaches you things.
Stamina:
Airwatcher’s alt mode is extremely fast. It guzzles fuel though. Since being on the ground keeps him from going through energon like a hot knife through butter, the seeker’s systems have been tuned to last reasonable length of time on the ground for a seeker of his class.
Dependable:
Despite how rogue and brash he can be, Airwatcher has a strong morale code, which he follows as closely as he follows his gut. When it comes to friends, or doing a mission because what right is at stake, he’s likely to join in, and follow through to the end.
Morale: He has a heart, and if he’s with a team, whether he knows them or not, he wants to make sure everyone’s in high spirits. He can often tell if someone needs words of encouragement, and isn’t afraid to give it to them. He is untamed, but that doesn’t mean he’s a jerk. It is hard to get Airwatcher’s spirit down, or break Airwatcher.
Weaknesses :
- Mask: Forcing Airwatcher’s mask off of him renders him very weak. His systems are delicate when it comes to ex-venting at all. He’s been in the sky at such high altitudes, and has flown in space so often that his systems couldn’t take the intensity of the altitudes. Damaging Airwatcher’s mask causes his systems to overheat, and for him to choke if the atmosphere is smoky, or anything extreme.
Light armor: Airwatcher has light armor, since the seeker like to get around fast.. In combat, since his systems are so compacted and need every inch of his mass that it is easy to hinder his flight capability. His armor is also not designed for combat, making it somewhat easy to down him if you land a few hits.
Energon guzzler: Airwatcher needs plenty of energon to keep running. Flying around takes energy, especially if you do it a lot. Airwatcher is supposed to be fuel efficient, but in reality, the mech eats like a professional velocitronian racer. After a mission, he will require good sums of energon. Extremely long battles aren’t good for Airwatcher, as he needs all the energon he has in his body, and much much more. Tanky warriors often find themselves still having plenty of juice when Airwatcher’s running on low.
Armor weaknesses: Obvious weaknesses in Airwatcher’s armor are under the shoulder, behind the knee, at the wrists, and of course the neck where small pistons and wiring is exposed.
Reckless: He’s not one for sitting around waiting for that pitch perfect master-plan to come into place. He’s not much for planning at all really, Airwatcher makes it up as he goes. He depends on his guile and speed…which don’t always get him out of trouble. They’re barely enough to keep him out of trouble.
Plays by his own rules: You’ll know someone’s impersonating Airwatcher if he calls someone ‘sir’, recites codes from the Decepticon rulebook, acts like a team player, openly praises superiors, and starts looking at rulebooks for guidance. It is almost impossible to get his respect if you’re someone who’s all about rules.
Not a spelunker: Airwatcher hates enclosed dark spaces. He despises having to walk on the ground in dark places where the sky is no where in sight. Caves make him very edgy, and it’s hard for him to focus and keep his cool if he doesn’t take flight after an hour or two—or if he’s been in a cave for that long.
Sick sense of humor: A joke is a joke is a joke is a joke. Airwatcher will make fun of just about anything, and won’t stop making fun of something. He keeps his cool by maintaining his sense of humor. That could be considered good since he can make a joke easily enough. The bad news is he can make a joke easily enough, and he’s not afraid to joke about anything.
SAMPLE RP
Airwatcher leaned back in his seat as his eyes slipped towards a strange mech in the room. Airwatcher knew the mech very well, but time had changed his friend, and what stood before him was someone who the universe had changed. Then again, time had done much to them both.
“You’re not coming?” Airwatcher inquired curiously, only to watch the scarlet and Prussian blue figure shake his helm. His purple visor glowed a weary hue.
“My comrade, I am not needed where you are going. You know, however, that I shall come if you call me.” The stranger told Airwatcher. The green seeker sighed, shaking his head. Airwatcher glanced at a small picture in the corner of a little sparkling being helped by a decepticon.
“I’ll be sure to give you a ping if I see any old faces that need a hand.” Airwatcher responded to his ally, only for the strangert to chuckle lightly.
“You are too kind. But I believe that is one of the reason you are going.”
