BASICS
Designation : Ailnoth
Nicknames: Lord of Candor Stix, Blade of Deimus, Knight of Candor's Sacrament
Gender : Mech
Faction : Decepticon
Occupation : Commander
Personality : Inspiring and charismatic, Lord Ailnoth has been the leader of Candor Stix’s settlement for eons. Such a title has not been without hardship however and as such Ailnoth can be a quiet and weary individual who values caution and discretion. That isn’t to say he is so two dimensional, having lived a life as a Knight for much of his existence the mech can be arrogant and bloodthirsty at time. While on the other hand being noble and caring for those he has dedicated himself to. If not for the ruthlessness cunning in his spark and his burning desire for vengeance he may not have lived long as a Decepticon.
APPEARANCE
Optic ( Eye ) Color : Tyrian Purple
Primary Paint Color : Onyx Black
Secondary Paint Color[Optional] : Tyrian Purple
Height : 50ft
Features:
Ailnoth resembles a fantasy knight with consideration for his alternative mode of a Cybertronian spaceship. With his proportions suggesting immense strength rather than being slim and tall, or unnaturally wide.
His helm consists of a barbute design, with significant armouring around his cheeks and the areas around his eyes which form a T shaped armourless area around his face. With wings on both sides of his head running diagonally along the entirety of the head from his jaw line to the upper back of his helm and extending a little further back. When in combat the helmet expands to create a battlemask leaving only a wide V shaped visor which is partially obscured when active.
The rest of his armour is a plate design. With many individual pieces of armour slotting together allowing the mech to move at surprisingly quick speeds with a range of movement and agility unnatural for his type. That isn’t to say though that he’s lightly armoured as his central chest piece possesses a single massive crest shield that protects the spark chamber and angles near the edges into other plates, allowing for it to withstand many heavy hits.
As a result of his aerial mode Ailnoth does possess a number of parts which an observant character could use to identify his form. It is however not an instantly recognisable link however as Ailnoth does not possess the classic wings on his back. Instead his wings form many different pieces including most notably his vambraces which are created out of the spiked ending of both wings.
Aside this Ailnoth also possesses thrusters on his feet along with smaller thrusters in his backplate, chest and shoulders allowing him to move in different directions rapidly.
Alternative Mode:
Ailnoth transforms into a Cybertronian Armoured Troop Transport.
Equipment and Abilities
Weaponry :
Dirge’s Edge.
Description: Known as Dirge’s Edge, Ailnoth signature weapon is a 34ft long greatsword. Due to it's size the weapon itself is not directly integrated with Ailnoth's arms forcing him to wield it with his servo's usually with a two handed grip. In response to this and the potential of him being disarmed the hilt has a homing function allowing the blade to return to his hand, instead of reuniting through the use of magnetics or similar designs however instead the weapon is capable of warping through space. This is just one of the many upgrades from it's original form.
Once a simple thermo-energon blade, Dirge’s Edge is now capable of changing between different chemicals and elements to provide attacks which can penetrate defenses a normal blade would fail to do so. The easiest example of this is when the blade is no longer being doused in thermo-energon it can be electrified to deal with those who have a resistance to extreme heats.
Another unique feature of Dirge’s Edge is that due to a customization of the warping tech that allows Ailnoth to regain his weapon, another form of warping can be used to temporarily negate enemy defences. This is done when the blade’s main section phases out of this dimension allowing it to pass physical defenses including armour and shielding like it didn’t exist. Though the warping does face difficulties after contacting a physical object which will cause it to deactivate, which in the case of a shield will often cause it to deactivate just before it hit's the Armour behind it. As a negative effect of this ability, there is a few milliseconds delay between activation and deactivation meaning the sword can’t be used to defend once activated. It can also not be used continuously or else the swords inner power source will be drained.
Ophelia
Description: An unusually named weapon, Ophelia would in most hands be considered an ordinary dagger. Like Dirge’s Edge however the weapon is capable of warping back to Ailnoth with merely a thought. A devastating ability that has caught countless off guard believing they’d reached a safe range where his sword was ineffective.
Gadgets :
Air Radar
Description: Radar (Radio Detection And Ranging) is an object-detection system that uses radio waves to determine the range, altitude, direction, or speed of objects. It can be used to detect aircraft, ships, spacecraft, guided missiles, motor vehicles, weather formations, and terrain. In most occasions Radar is a highly effective scanning method even up to extreme ranges, but it can also easily be countered by anti-radar devices.
Proximity Scanner
Description: Where as Radar can work to extreme ranges, a proximity scanner uses close range sensors for a more thorough check. As a result proximity scanner's have very few countermeasures and can locate most hidden objects however this effectiveness is lost the further the hidden object is from the scanner.
Early Warning Systems
Description: Designed to quickly warn the user of danger, Ailnoth's EWS covers a wide range of threats including locks on as well as projectiles and environmental hazards.
Flares
Description: In the case of a missile lock on that AIlnoth can't break for some reason or another, her flares can be deployed to set off the missiles.
Thrusters
Description: Located in the sideplates of his chest, pedes, backplate and elbows, Ailnoth has numerous ways to move around on the battlefield using miniature thrusters to send him anywhere from a few meters to dodge an attack or numerous meters hurling forward at an enemy. This mobility come increasingly useful when he is unable to use his cable's to scale buildings or move into a nearby vantage point. In addition to these smaller thrusters he also has two larger ones on his pede’s which allow him to hover and move quickly in his robot mode.
Cable Launcher
Description: Using enforced fibercorp embedded within Ailnoth's gauntlets the Cable Wrist Launchers fire a projected length of fibercorp used to ensnare an individual.
Magnetic Locks
Description: Ailnoth possess magnetic locks underneath his pede's that can be used to attach to metal surfaces, allowing him to scale buildings and traverse environments in anti-grav scenarios.
Visor
Description: Ailnoth’s visor when active is capable of magnifying his vision for long ranges along with providing a number of different vision modes for different environments and scenarios. Furthermore it can be linked up to data systems such as tactical displays allowing him to highlight things in his vision as well as upload maps of the area.
Signal booster
Description: On occasion the signals across the galaxy can become weak as such Ailnoth possesses a signal booster which can be activated to boost the signal strength within his surrounding area. As an added benefit the device can also be used to counteract most jammers, an crucial advantage if he is ever caught in need of support. On most occasions the energy drain of the device will seem to be nothing, however breaking stronger jammer signals increase the drain exponentially.
Blow torch
Description: Designed largely for makeshift repairs, Ailnoth otherwise uses the weapon for quickly cutting through defences like blast doors.

History[Optional as some like to make it up as they go along] :
- Candor Stix the Titan heads off Cybertron on it's mission to colonize with a group of people including Ailnoth. A relatively high ranking Knight of Cybertron at the time.
- Unknown to them they land on a planet infected with Dark Energon deep in it's core, though the effects are hidden deep underground with natural energon in the surface.
- Once arrived on the planet Candor Stix deactivates and becomes a hub of the adventures with the core of the Titan now named 'The First Spark of Candor' as it begins to function as a well for future Cybertronians.
- For a long time as such the world itself prospered in a Golden Age period where energon was plentiful and growth continued.
- All things end at one point however and over a few more eras the taint of Dark Energon began to spread from the core, hitting a clan of beastformers who'd strayed furthest from the Titan. They would become the Beast Heralds of Unicron as they where warped and changed to mindless Terrorcon beasts. Before long they began to attack other settlements and in doing so spread Unicron's taint.
- In response entire armies of the Knights rose in response including one which Ailnoth served in. So they hunted down every Beastformer they could and killed them to the last. It did not stop the spread of corruption however.
- Many of the knights who fought returned changed, falling into spits of insanity and chaos including Ailnoth himself. With many of those who stationed far from Candor Stix becoming Warlords over their own corrupted populations. While Ailnoth and others where lucky enough to find the First Spark of Candor reduced the influence, though not outright removing it. Eventually the taint spread so deep almost touching the gates of Candor that the production of new sparks was nonviable as the First Spark was turned to reducing the corruption.
- For a time it was considered to retreat off world, but with fears of who was tainted it was decided they would out last the corruption rather than risking spreading it further.
- Soon it became clear though that the corruption spread worse where chaos stood and so Knights now lead by Ailnoth after the last Candor Lord was struck down began issuing rading parties, eliminating entire cities that revolted in response.
- The First Spark of Candor could not continue it's purification however as it grew weaker and weaker, in response sacrifices began to be made as many of Candor's least tainted sparks where ritually offered powering the spark again if only for a time. Such an option was unsustainable however and before long the Knights retreated off world with the spark, straight into the Great Civil War.
Born during the era of the mythical Knights of Cybertron, Ailnoth was at the time a mere squire under the employee of one of the many warriors of their era. As such when his Lord was requested to join one of the Titan colonies, Ailnoth followed with. His desires to become a legendary Knight of his own and naivety picturing a perfectly reality even as they began their journey on the Titan known as Stix.
Such naivety was never really challenged in his early years however as upon landing on the planet that would later be called Candor, the Cybertronian colony found a world overflowing with energon and untold amounts of unidentified energy further below. As such with confidence the Titan Stix transformed, falling into hibernation while becoming what would be the capital city of Candor Stix, with a new well of sparks created in it's core, which became known as The First Spark of Candor. Allowing the city to expand and flourish while Ailnoth developed under his training.
Elsewhere overflowing with confidence other settlers expanded under the eyes of the Knights and their Lord at the time Rawkin who sent many guards to watch the growth of other cities across the world. Including notable locations such as New Stix, Tritia and the home of the Beastformer tribe Alox which settled on the other side of the planet. Which led the Knightly order spread wide, though capable as more and more recruits like Ailnoth becoming Knights themselves
With many such Knights becoming the public icons of the golden age that followed as the world prospered under the guidance of Lord Rawkin and the other Candorian Lords who led settlements like New Stix and Tritia. During this time Ailnoth served as a warden providing law and order to the city of Candor Stix along with a few of it's nearby settlements. Including the mining town of Locan which became a critical source of energon while a few of it's highest nobility attempted to reach the source of the power near the planets core. Including Lady Lavene who during the later stages of the era disappeared in her search.
She wasn't the only contact lost during the later stages of the era however, as the knights of Alox disappeared along with all contact from their tribe leader Alzmane. Though for a time their disappearance was considered unimportant due to it's distance from the capital and the difficulties of long range communication. It would be a mistake that brought much loss and suffering in the future.
The first of which was the settlement of Roarsted, a town only hours away from the city of Alox. Which one day reported a strange darkening of their land, as lights flickered across energon reactors and the ground cracked, opening to reveal a purple abyss that swallowed people and their sanity whole. While across the horizon demons brought upon by the rising hell came from the remnants of Alox.
Within hours the town was gone. Only a casualty of Aurox the Bloodbeast and his savage army.
They did not stop at only one city however, as within months they grew. Their warherd growing as twisted beasts without the spark of life and only the blood of chaos sustaining them continued onwards. Behind them the ruins of entire cities followed. Their relentless progress far too fast to halt before thousands were lost.
Though many escaped with the help of garrisoned Knights in smaller settlements, it wouldn’t be till Lord Rawkin amassed an army at Forlan Canyon that their advance was halted only a few months away from the capital. Among which included Ailnoth who slayed countless beasts in combat from twisted turbofoxes to demonic dragons dragged from the deeps, which would earn him a promotion. It was during this battle that Lord Rawkin was injured with a shard of Aurox’s blade penetrating his spark chamber but failing to truly kill him before the tribal army was forced into retreat.
With momentum on his side though Rawkin could not completely recover in time to capitalize on the victory, and instead sent his forces onward chasing the enemy back through the hellish landscape. While the newly promoted Ailnoth standing by as a Royal Guard member for the courageous lord joined his side as they battled the enemy more than a dozen times. With many of their battles catching prisoners who were ruthlessly slain for their own cruelty. While each victory had the Knights nearing closer to the center of their enemies power and the ruins of Alox.
Before they could hit the enemy their army was ambushed however, as five Candorian Lords fell under the blade will eight more survived due to their own skill and the actions of their guard. Including Rawkin who survived only due to Ailnoth's sacrifice as he defended his lord with vast injuries that led to his stasis-lock as well as being sent back to the capital before the final battle. It would be a fight that he regretted missing, and yet ultimately saved him.
For though the Knight’s were victorious they did not return unchanged from the tainted land. As they brought back a darkness they sought to purge, it’s chaotic strain following like a ghastly shadow. While the wastelands stayed, nature failing to regain its grasp on the land.
At least for a time though the corruptions existence could be seen only in the landscape. That changed though as time passed and the taint deepened in the spark of those who’d fought the final battle including the Candorian Lords. Many of which found themselves turning from prideful Kings of thriving cities to greedy Warlords as rebellions grew among their citizens who began to resemble the demons that the Knight’s had once slain.
Within the coming years many of the Lords fell either to the rebellions, or to invasions from fellow Lords. With Tritia burning to slag and ashes while New Stix was swallowed into an abyss.
Eventually even Rawkin began to show signs, though the land of Candor Stix remained untouched around the Titan with only the warriors from the final battle appearing affected. Soon Rawkin began to shout for calls of war, intending to eradicate the other Lords while suggesting the elimination of those who would oppose him.
For a time Ailnoth even went to war in agreement, raising cities to the ground and slaying the abominations that had once been his own kin. At least until Rawkin began to suggest their was traitors in their midst and to remove them they would begin executing their own men. In response his attempts to dissuade Rawkin only led to his dismissal and imprisonment. Though when the civilians of Candor Stix rebelled, Ailnoth led the charge. Slaying Lord Rawkin as well as many of his corrupted guard before taking the mantle of commander.
During his time a breakthrough was revealed that the corruption could be slowed by The First Spark of Candor, and in part was the reason Rawkin was the last to fall. While further study revealed it could even reverse the corruption to an extent, which it did so to Ailnoth when he began to feel the taint filling his own aggression and greed.
Using the spark to reduce the taint though was a costly procedure and soon the spark began to dwindle, leading to the Ailnoth halting the production of any new sparks in exchange for it lasting longer. While a new faction the Church of the Spark, began to suggest sacrificing the most untainted to prolong it. For a time Ailnoth denied such insanity but began to concede as a demonstration succeeded and the spark’s light burned brighter at least for a time.
Eventually though the corruption of the world became too great and Candor Stix was evacuated. The danger of the corruptions growth overwhelmed by their own fears as they left the planet and stumbled across the great war.
A war between those who desired freedom which had been similar to the countless abominations while another desired order, though it was an ideal corrupted by selfish ambitions. Eventually the inhabitants of Candor Stix joined the Decepticon’s including their sole Lord Ailnoth.

Messatine was a cold world, constantly hit with arctic storms that left anything on the surface covered in ice and snow. With only the bare minimum of life growing on the surface, if not for what existed below the planet may have been considered unimportant. Instead in reality it was before the war one of the main sources of energon for the Cybertronian race with a vast mining system underground. Which both Autobot and Decepticon alike where eager to exploit, sending their forces in an attempt to capture the world and it's resources.
That had been millennia ago though, and since then skirmishes had spilled the lifeblood of countless warriors. While the vast caverns filled with energon blocked scanners and prevented the outright elimination of the enemy in decisive strikes. At least that had been the case for countless years.
The arrival of Candor's Sacrament had changed that though. As a force of highly trained melee combatant's able to use the full extent of their skills without setting off the purified energon supplies had easily cut a glorious charge through the unprepared Autobot's.
Then without a reliance on scanners they'd tracked the retreating forces, carrying on in a seemingly endless march where battle seemed to only slow them down rather than bring things to a halt.
Now months since their arrival the final battle approached. The last outpost of the Autobot's had been hidden, deep below surrounded by enough energon that scanners where unable to detect the energy of more than a hundred soldiers. Now though with the enemy at their gates all their measures for stealth had done was seal their fate as they stood against an army more than five times their size.
At the front of which stood a group, twelve Knights both mech and femme alike with blades at their hip surrounding one who stood above them all. His black armor that swallowed the light of the cavern only highlighting the expert engravings of his armour which glowed with Tyrian purple that claimed his allegiance just as well as the burning Decepticon insignia on his chest plate. Though at 50ft tall he was an intimidating figure perhaps the strangest sight was his lack of blade.
It was not a sight that filled the defenders with confidence however as he raised his hand infront of him, directly towards the gates. The air around his hand began to twist and distort, reality warping in defiance of the natural order as a weapon began to appear. It's sharp edge glimmering in the light of the cavern while the rest of it seemed to only contrast darkening till it was the same onyx black of the one who wield it.
"For Candor." Ailnoth proclaimed, and with his command the slaughter began.
