Designation: WheelSpin
Citizen Number: 01
( Because he's number one of course )Alliance: Iacon
Occupation: Paintjob artist, Maintenance, tuning modification/customisation specialist
Age: Exact age unknown. War made.
Physical Description: Orange yellow optics with glass type cover of them, similar material to the one over his headlights. A combination of white and black paintjob in base form, with certain sections that have a specific labradorite type effect paint. Has been subject to change. He has long headlights running down the length of his chassis, and several 'light lines' along his frame, that can be dimmed down, and mostly flatter his sleek design. Roof wings are strapped to his back and are capable of movement. He has shoulder tyres, the angle of which can be mildly adjusted for space. His pedes consist of tyres predominantly, with a front foot like section to help with better mobility. His digits are thinner at the end, and almost claw like, suitable for upgrading and delicate work. They have one extra phalanges piece over the usual 3, which can be seen when the digits 'extend'.
Personality: He is very proud of his looks and values his paint job and does not want to see it marred in any way. He is not very patient and is somewhat temperamental. When he is doing his work, he is fully focused on the task at hand and truly tries to do his best. He is very curious, while never satisfied with how much he has already learned, always believing that techniques and knowledge can be improved on. He enjoys challenges and the need for improvisation and thrives in work where he is given some room to 'experiment'. Not one to forgive and forget. While he has yet to speak out publicly, he strongly dislikes the current laws, in particular those partaining to the speed limits.
Weapons:
- Blades: Allegedly only used as working tools. Currently he is using three different blades that he can produce from his arm. One for precise cutting, one that is very narrow and long and is used for jabbing, stabbing and puncturing holes and another for just slashing at the armour - this one is thicker and stronger, intended for stronger armour.
- Null ray: Allegedly only used to numb sections of patients he needs to operate on for upgrades. Can freeze the average Transformer for a short time by stopping their energon flow within their body and could even put them in temporary stasis. Null ray freezes the part of body it hits. If the shot is fired at an arm, the arm is rendered useless for the duration of 4 posts (or 20 minutes). After that time passes the limb begins to return into motion, at first it is sluggish and the limb feels less under control (if an arm, things are hard to grip, the grip is not as strong as normally). The limb will also feel weird, almost as if somewhat detached from the rest of he body. Once it regains full function, it operates as normal with no additional damage. If the opponent receives a direct shot to the faceplate, it will put him or her in statis for the duration of 5 posts, if two shots hit directly, then this extends to 10 (or an hour) at least. Being exposed to too many shots to the faceplate can prove fatal. If the shot is only to the helm, it will render the bot to move as if drunk, sluggish and disoriented. This will wear off fairly quickly. If a bot is hit in the chassis and gets through armour the processor may 'think clearly' but the limbs have a lag at responding to commands. One on each arm. Usually used alternatively rather than at the same time. His preference is to using his left arm, especially when the target is pretty far. Range can be extended to long range (about 1km for max (same) effectiveness, from there the effects will diminish until it is rendered entirely useless).
- Scatter Blaster: Used for protection against the 'scum' of Iacon. Automatic shotgun outfitted with an Ion Torque accelerator enabling the weapons' high rate of fire and brutal, close range stopping power. Can also be used in alt mode and is only visible when used. One per arm in bot form, is fitted on each side of car. (along the length of it), in alt when visible. The load for scatterblaster can be acid pellets as well and are in limited supply.
- Speargun: (Unconfirmed) shoots relatively small reinforced sharp tip spears (the head can be filled with acid pellets, explosive pellets, nitrogen pellets, etc, or nothing of course.) that are intended to pierce deep into the body of the opponent, where its contents are dispersed or to be used as means of pulling oneself up a building when the other end of the spear is attached to cable. One, in left arm. When in alt form, the spears can be shot from the front of the vehicle under the level of the headlights.
- Noise: (Unconfirmed) Sonic/Ultra Sonic weapon produced with the alterations to his sound blasters. Used to injure, incapacitate or even kill an opponent. With the right intensity, it causes disorientation, interruption of signals in the processor, affects coherent thought in cybertronians, causes intense pain. While prolonged exposure could lead to the spark fluttering out, it would require the 'noise' to be amped to the right frequency, to its fullest and remain so continuously for a while (13 posts) , with the sound being focused directly at the opponent, who was to be affected.
- Blinding light blast: (Unconfirmed) His front lights have been modified to deliver a powerful blast/flash of light, which can temporarily offline optics and as a consequence render the opponent temporarily blind. To humans that is obviously much more harmful and may cause permanent damage to the eyes. If he was to focus his lights at a bot, rather than simply flashing them, and the opponent would be exposed to it for a longer time, it could fry the optics permanently. However such an endeavour would also sap immense amounts of energy from Wheelspin depending of how long it would last. The longer the exposure, the more likely Wheelspin would have to call it a day.
Gadgets and Abilities:
- Ice liquid: (Unconfirmed) A slippery clear liquid can be released onto the road when in alt mode and gives the effect of ice covering the road. It evaporates in about 10 minutes. Cannot be used in bot mode.
- Blowtorch: Used to weld things together or cut them apart. With the right setting it can also serve to burn in insignia or other 'tattoos'. He can adjust the settings on it from a very thin but concentrated flame that can cut through a vast array of materials, or, if less concentrated, that can engrave designs into plating, to a broader flame that is not as hot but has a broader range of damage. He might temper with it at a later time. Can be used in alt mode too, and comes out from the side to burn at opponent's tyres or bodywork but is extremely limited in reach and range and the vehicles have to come quite close for it to be of any effect.
- Fabrication/upgrades scan: It's a scan that is used while he designs new upgrades for the bots, once probably belonging to a medic (most likely scavenged). He made alterations to provide him with a 3D blueprints hologram after it scans, and allow him to add and remove parts that it scans or he is designing new. It allows him to have a 3D sketchbook. With the data on the weight of the parts the blueprint can provide information on what would happen if a certain new armour piece or gun would be added. Secondarily it can provide the owner with the 'picture' of the damage, but it does not supply him with further information than that. It can scan a 'loop', meaning a few seconds of the frame, that then repeats itself. It has a setting that can show powerlines/energon in blue, and the rest of the frame in red.
- All sorts and types of polishing, buffering, etc. devices for personal use to keep the paint and himself to look his best. Obviously cannot be used as weapons and don't come out unless he has some off time. And of course tools of the trade for a fabricator. The select ones he doesn't just borrow from the medbay/workshop.
- Runflat tyres: (Unconfirmed) If his tyres are shot, he will not immediately be rendered unable to drive, while in alt form. While the damaged tyre will be capable of sustaining his weight without additional damage to his rims, his speed will be somewhat affected. Control, especially doing sharp turns, will also suffer somewhat. If the tyre is entirely blasted (as in, not just pierced through but chunks of it are missing) he will of course have the usual problems of a car driving on a flat tyre. These tyres run on the principle of being auxiliary-supported tyres ie there is an additional support ring or insert attached to the wheel that can support the weight of the vehicle in the event of a loss of pressure.
- Frame charging: (Unconfirmed) Changes the colour of the frame to specific range of colours (black being one of them), and can cause the sensation of sudden extreme pain to whoever is keeping hold of him. It is temporary, but intense. He can only use up to 5 bursts with 1 post between each use, before he needs to recharge his reserves (10 posts). While not causing any long lasting damage, it can bring even the biggest bots to release their hold.
- Electromagnetic cloak: (unconfirmed) Used usually to keep under the radar of other transformers. When in use, if scanned, he will not be identified as anything but a normal car.
- Armour plating:(Unconfirmed) He is experimenting with a lighter but relatively stronger material from the new generation of quasi metals infused with his cna. While being stronger than standard plating, it still cannot match the durability of tank type armour. It's enough to survive small calibre shots, will get dented in rather than pierced at medium calibre, and continues to get pierced through easily, with bigger calibres. The new material allows for the plating to expand rather than split at impact, with medium size calibres, which allows him easier and more seamless repairs. The armour also allows for mild alterations in his body design and shape, although the 'stretch' capabilities are quite small. Usually used to make himself more aerodynamic if needed or to alter the design somewhat when in need to hide. Production of such plating takes time and requires the right raw materials, which means that when the damage is sufficient to need replacement, WheelSpin might be found in his 'old' worn down plating a while after the battle has been long over. Unless he just uses the boring standard armour material.
History : After Iacon was secured, and the new laws became a reality WheelSpin focused mostly on his work as a fabrication specialist while he continued to further his knowledge and expertise in the medical field as well. He swore to have removed some of his upgrades from the war time. Whether this is true or not, is up for debate. His greatest beef with the current rule is the fact that speed limits have dropped to horrific levels, with speed bumps in his opinion, causing a great deal of damage on the under carriages and the general framework of car and other similar frames. He keeps his opinion generally to himself. He has taken part in some of the now illegal racing.
Criminal Record: Suspected of speeding. Not convicted.
