Overdrive listened to the briefing for what he would be doing. It seemed that he would be escorting scatterbeam. He figured out that was the bot who was talking to hexcode before him. He noticed a few other bots joined the group and a neutral. He wasn't gonna bother the neutral.
Overdrive was waiting for scatterbeam to be ready to move, when she was ready to move he would transform and follow behind her.

Dashside listened in on the planning, looking over the holo-map as Hexcode pointed out key locations. As his explanation moved to Metroplex fortress, the femme inspected it on the map. "That's Metroplex, the titan from before the Exodus. He gave his life to launch the Ark - I guess rigour morphis must of kicked in." She stated, explaining it for both the group and Hexcode, as the latter seemed unaware of the fortress' history. "With it's built-in defences, we could definitely make a good base camp in there."The femme looked to Diamond, giving her a curt nod in both response and respect, offering Aquahaze up to her. Much like Diamond, Dashside hadn't been given a role, and decided she would embrace that fact. It wasn't long after that Influx arrived, with swords across his back, which prompted Dashside to reach into her subspace and draw her longsword, a replacement for the one she had shattered in her landing. But replacing it now wasn't just for the sole purpose of re-arming herself, no, Dashside had chosen to do it at that moment as a subtle way of telling Influx that if he had *any* harmful intentions, then he would have to go through her. Stowing the blade on her back, she watched as other Autobots began to depart. "I'm going scouting." The femme stated clearly into comms, and despite the garbled nature of comms in the area, nearby Autobots would've heard. Shifting into her motorcycle form, she drove off in the opposite direction to the convoy, heading towards Metroplex. (( influx RedOptics Hexcode @rollerjade Overdrive Whirl Skyspray (Aquahaze)))

Compass suppressed his noise of surprise. He watched with unclear vision as the falling debris was smashed into pieces, understanding what had happened but now how it had happened. He opened and closed his mouth several times, running a few nonvisual scans himself. The ion trails of the weapons led straight back to that drone that had been hovering around since a few minutes back. He backed away from its search light with considerably more haste, even going so far as to position himself behind Weld. Stupid, he was not--brave, well, that was debatable. He was quietly very, very glad to get away from it, watching out of the corner of his vision as it drifted away. He made a mental note to, indeed, keep his optics open for more of them. He would hate to have to face their creator. The journey to Weld's makeshift workshop was smooth enough. At least they didn't run into any more of those things, and Compass's wing held together long enough for him to make it there. And he didn't crash despite how unsteadily he flew through the air behind Weld, going markedly slower than he should have been. "Yes," he replied, the humor lost on his stoic exterior. Compass wasn't a mech much for words. He tried to keep as quiet as possible and draw as little attention as possible, so being the fixation of a doctor's attention was not a comfortable position to be in. And he showed it, fidgeting and turning his head, keeping his gaze on Weld and on Weld's assistant the entire time they had been working on him. And now came the moment of truth. The moment he was most certainly not looking forward to. "I can." Just to be on the safe side, he holstered his pistol, an action he had been waiting to perform until he deemed it absolutely necessary. "Work quickly." He reached his hands up, beginning to detach the clamps that held the front half of his helm in place. They snapped sharply, two on each side, and Compass held it in place for a moment to allow the interior wiring to disconnect and fold itself into its compartments. "I can't see...well without this." The word "well" sounded like it was added in as an after-thought, and might have been a flat-out lie, but Compass lowered his helm slowly. He didn't pass it to Weld right away, but instead held it away from his body at an angle that would suggest he should take it from there. The Decepticon's face was nothing short of remarkable. It was as if there was no plating there whatsoever, and Weld was getting to see precisely what was just beneath the surface (not that he wasn't already familiar but each bot was certainly unique). Circuits and wires crossed over the upper portion of Compass's face, with distinct channels running between his optics and on either side of his face. Those would be the points where the angular helm he was now holding attached directly. His optics themselves were a bit strange-looking; they were apertured, which in and of itself wasn't strange, but they were shaped oddly too. The lenses bulged outwards which gave Compass a wider field of vision. There was a pinprick of bright red light that oscillated back and fourth almost too fast to be noticeable and that emanated from the center. They were eyes designed specifically to read a large amount of data in a short period of time, and not necessarily eyes made to see the visible light spectrum to send feedback to the central processor. As soon as Compass's visor was lifted away, the apertures shrank and his optic covers slid closed. It seemed like he was effectively blind until his visor was returned to him, and rest assured that thing would be getting a full diagnostic review as soon as it was attached again. The helm copied the design of Compass's face. The channels were reflected back flawlessly and the circuited pattern mirrored everything except the wires, which were exclusive to the scout's body. The cracked glass of the visor seemed to be both a display and a filter. It was a harsh red color and looking through it was like looking through safety goggles. That was the only part that needed replacing, too; the rest of it was undamaged. hargablarga

The young mech giggled as the larger femme spoke to him. He had gotten attention! The small bot jumped a little, obviously very excited about the new encounter. He kept his smile going but was soon easily distracted by the blue mech with one bright light in the middle of the face. That was a very interesting feature and Aqua reached out a servo to touch it. Before he could, however, he could feel something pulling him the other way. It was much stronger than him, so it had no problems with pulling him away. At first, he was not happy with it, making noises to indicate that. That waw only at the start though, as he spotted what was probably holding him up. His face once again lit up. Auntie Dashie! Aqua laughed more now, as he enjoyed being in the air like this. Hovering around weightless was very fun. As Dashside hugged him, he hugged her back the best he could with his tiny arms. He knew Dashie, it was his father's sister. Therefore she was good. The tiny mech kept smiling as he was held up in her servos, looking around at the commotion around them. Weird things happened, but they weren't fun at all to look at. There were noises too, but he didn't know what they all meant. He could recognize some words, but that was it. When his mother came to take him away from Dashside, Aquahaze protested loudly, squirming to try and not be taken away. This, of course, was unsuccessful in every aspect but he calmed down once in Diamond's arms. She said something to him and then their helms touched. It was a gentle touch, and it displayed affection, which was something he liked. There were then more commotion happening around them, and that confused him a lot. He couldn't wrap his mind around what was happening. He pointed at the convoy and the new bots, basically asking what they were, if anyone even understood his sign language. He then saw Dashside changing shape, and going away, leaving him! But she had just gotten there, why did she leave again? He whimpered a little and pointed at the motorcycle driving away. It was at that moment his 12.7mm machinegun accidentally went off, and Aqua was not prepared for it at all. It was a loud noise, echoing in the area as a burst of four rounds had been fired. The loud noise scared him and this time, he got startled enough to cry. WhaaaaAAaaah AahaAAAahugh!(( RedOptics Dashside @rollerjade Hexcode Whirl influx Overdrive ))

Whirl swooped in, and without being asked, and also without permission from Dia, half-transformed, picked up Aquahaze, and tucked him safely into his cockpit, before taking off a1gain. If Aquahaze didn't like it, he was free to kick and scream all he liked, but at this particular moment there was probably no safer place to be. At least he wasn't going to be forgotten. "Great. Tanks to you bein' in here, I won't be able to engage in combat for hours," he informed Aquahaze, "Consider dis a valauble lesson, kiddo - frequently we have ta do tings we don't like."He hovered above the other Autobots, moving around, "Yup, I am definitely seein' some wierd activity ahead, Hex," he commed Hexcode , "In all dis rubble, dere's a workshop. Looks kinda new, but nobody's come outta it to investigate dis crash." "Maybe nobody's in there?" somebody suggested. "Dat ain't in keepin' with my luck lately," Whirl replied, "I'm suggestin' we give it a berth, maybe send somebody ta investigate later while we keep movin'."Compass @hargablarga Skyspray (Aquahaze)

Dia did her best to smile, but even she was startled from the sudden gunfire. She forgot he did that.... Now that wasn't good... the gunshot would have given away their location, and then Aqua started crying, which was worse. The femme tried shushing him gently, bouncing him a little in attempt to calm him down. Then he was ripped from her arms. Dia stared at her empty arms for a moment, dreading that she had just lost him like everyone else. That was, until she spotted the crazy blue mech rushing off. "WHIRL!!!" She yowled, body bristlining and fangs baring, optics filled tot he brim with anger. Now he went ahead and did it. Diamond lifted her servo, holding her rifle, and didn't hesitate to send him a little gift. The shot was randomized, and given explosive ammo, which she aimed to his his tail rotor, enough for him to force to to land. Skyspray (Aquahaze) Whirl

Post by Killswitch on Aug 4, 2017 17:31:05 GMT
For a long while, Killswitch hanged back away from the conversations. Only really, resting for a moment considering what he had to battle through. He isn't one to complain about a good fight though, so that statement is mutual. The only real part of this regrouping that mattered was the part that gave him his orders. Nothing too difficult by the sound of it. And better yet, he wouldn't have to do all the work too? This is something Killswitch can enjoy from time to time. Not wanting to lag behind anyone, he immediately picked himself up and got out of the way as Autotroopers were packing up. During that time he made sure to get a good stretch in, along with checking on his equipment and weaponry. The moment he knew that everything was in working condition Killswitch quickly located Scatterbeam and Overdrive. The Wrecker not shy from working with people that aren't a part of the same division. In his mind right now, everyone is still under the same banner. He may have concerns about randoms jumping in out of nowhere to say hello, but it isn't his job to deal with them. The young Wrecker quickly made his way over. Nodding to them, and shaking their servos as well if they accepted such a greeting. His voice hinting that he was probably a starter up into the line of work which is very true. But even if he branded the Wrecker Insignia he hoped these two entrusted him to protect them with his life. Cause that is exactly what he intends to do no matter what the cost. After a friendly smile, he decided it's best to state that verbally. "I hope you two don't mind having a Wrecker around. All I intend to do is carry out my role, and protect you guys the best I can. With that said, ready when you are Scatterbeam." He'd say gleefully. Waiting on her call to get moving along with the rest of them. Although he would pay attention to his surroundings. Jolting to the sudden gun fire, as he wasn't sure if it was an ambush or a misfire. Either way, he turned around and before he could see where the shots exactly came from he zeroed in on Aquafaze with his optics. A crying sparkling is something he particularly has a soft spot for, due to reasons he doesn't like to talk about. Considering this; it's safe to say he couldn't exactly agree with Whirl's decision to nab him straight from his own mother's arms either. Now if anything is reckless that can be ruled as one of them. He was going to say something, but the comms were active and the talk was spurring about Whirl's discovery. He saw no reason to leave it behind now, but the plan was to stick together and only divert if something interesting was on the path they took. And by the sound of it, this was some distance behind them actually. So..sadly Killswitch wouldn't be getting away this time. Besides. He just told Overdrive and Scatterbeam that he'd protect them. So he can't leave. That wouldn't look good on his record. @rollerjade Overdrive

The information Dashside provided about Metroplex was greatly appreciated in Hexcode's book. Making no mistake in having that all noted in a separate file within his device. By the sound of it, this was going to go well for sure if things stay according to plan. That and all hoping this stays secure. As just as soon as they started, trouble began getting its hands into the matter. Hexcode already a little unnerved reacted with a speed that nobody his size should be able to do. If he hadn't been the type to pay attention to detail someone would definitely have lost their head. Judging from the very thin smoke trail the four shots came from the sparkling. Hexcode had completely missed the fact that, he had a gun on his back in the first place. Quite the troublesome addition for a creature so young isn't it? He shook his head, with a minor grumble in between. Though Diamond knew to take care of it, as every great mother should. Hex can't blame the child for crying, although he sure didn't like it considering how much unknowns still remain around them. Though before he could even get back to his job, his concerns increased as Whirl decided to be sparkling sitter of the year apparently. His attempt to teach the child about life is certainly one way to go about it. Though he couldn't exactly trust that his actions wouldn't benefit the group let alone him. His thoughts interrupted as the very mech chimed in through the local comms. He hovered above the other Autobots, moving around, "Yup, I am definitely seein' some wierd activity ahead, Hex," he commed Hexcode , "In all dis rubble, here's a workshop. Looks kinda new, but nobody's come outta it to investigate dis crash.""Dat ain't in keepin' with my luck lately," Whirl replied, "I'm suggestin' we give it a berth, maybe send somebody ta investigate later while we keep movin'."What he mentioned was something Hexcode could take action on. The slight chatter about the workshop confirmed that others were nearly thinking the same thing. But this is why Hexcode does what he does. "No need-" Hexcode would say for a moment. Switching from map view on his Tech Wheel to the equipment screen. Immediately deploying his drones, however, this time he would rely on a different setup. "A.T.A.Ds deployed stay alert." He'd announce through comms to everyone. "Come again?" Someone quickly asked. Hexcode sighed for a moment, then replied to the question. "It stands for: All Terrain Assault Drone." "Why don't you just say that then?" Another brought up right after. "Because that is just-...*groan*...Look do you want all our perimeters covered or not?" Hexcode said, somewhat irritated now. No further questioning from Autotroopers came in. Still, doesn't remove the inevitable objection from Diamond regarding Whirl and his sparkling napping.

“Neurosurgeon, huh?” Scatterbeam repeated out loud, more curious than suspicious. ‘Medic’ did bring a stereotype to mind, a greedy coward profiteering off the destruction caused by the war. For a neurosurgeon it seemed different, maybe because of it being so specialized. There was a feeling of momentum that was tangible in the little encampment. Overdrive was standing around getting ready to move. Hexcode seem anxious to get moving, Dashside… well, Dashside was gone now.“Well, I’m not quite sure how much we need any of those in a moment. We are heading out of here pretty soon." While walking casually toward the mech she began to realize that no, he wasn’t that far away, he was just short. “If you want to tag along that’s fine. I’m sure we'll be able to make use of your skill eventually.” Upon seeing everyone preoccupied, she approached just close enough to speak quietly between the two of them. “Between you and me, the others might be a bit on edge at the moment, so you want to stick besides me and…” she almost regretted saying this next part, because of how threatening it sounded, but it was necessary to give the neutral a fair warning. Hopefully the softening of her voice conveyed that.“Don’t cause any trouble.”With that she transformed into her alt mode and drove back to Overdrive, and both were approached by Killswitch, his name guessed by her though the power of deduction. Politely accepting the offer to shake his hand, Scatterbeam was about to give the order to move when the Sparkling misfired. From where she was standing she had full view of the, and could only roll her optics. Sparklings, she thought. She transformed into her alternate and signals the others to do the same. She was one of the few who never had gotten an earth form, instead keeping the model of an old red and silver cybertronian hovercraft. She couldn’t fly per say, but she would have to worry about tumbling out of control from the uneven terrain.“Let’s head out then.”The group head out. Whether or not the neutral was with them Scatterbeam didn’t notice at the moment. Whirlss message got to the group, but she was not interested at the moment. There was a mission to complete. A task to be done. And frankly it was a relief this one did not explicitly involve combat.

The little sparkling didn't have time to register what happened. One moment he was safely in his mother's arms, the next he was somewhere dark and small, even for his frame. The loud sound had gone away, fortunately, but instead something else had taken its place. A thing that wasn't better. He couldn't see his mother anywhere, and that only made things worse. He couldn't hear her either, which made things even worse. He began to panic, pounding the insides of the cockpit weakly and kicking too. As he was in the panicked state that he was, he couldn't really control his body either. The two tesla coils on his shoulders were giving out electrical pulses, and his machinegun went on full power, spraying bullets down towards the inside of the copter, going through it from front to back. The sound of it firing made him panic even more something which wasn't good for anyone his age. He was also screaming and crying very loudly, just like small sparklings do. MOooOOmMMmmMYYyyyYYY!!!This was certainly not his day, everything went wrong. He was beginning to get tired too, and he didn't want that. What if he didn't get to see mommy again? The thought alone made him fight even harder to get free, breaking whatever he could inside Whirl, and even parts on himself too to be able to move (Albeit accidentally), shooting what he could and screaming as loud as possible. "Well if that isn't just the ScrapS," Whirl snarled. So, okay, bad idea. So what does mom do? She shoots at the guy carrying her kid, trying to make him crash-land. Wow, he knew he was stupid sometimes, but that? That was just moronic, "So, ya wanna go back to the mom what wants ya to crash-land, huh? Fine, but quit messing with my cockpit. It's mostly for show, anyways."
He landed easily.
"Fine, fine, have your baby back! I was only tryin' to help," he put Aquahaze on the floor in front of Diamond, and if he'd had a face, it would have been full of contempt for her, "And one more thing," he swung a claw into her face as a backhand, "Don't ever shoot at a sparklin' again!"
He took off again, muttering to himself, "Stupid glitch... It's not like I was kidnappin' nobody..."

The femme snarled at Whirl before snatching her baby back, swiping at his odd faceplate with her claws, "You try having to take care of a sparkling all alone!" Diamond hissed viciously, holding the sparkling close to her chest. It was understandable that she would be overprotective of the little one, "Besides, I'd choose even Megatron's cockpit before placing him in yours!" Then stormed off to reform with the rest of the group, fuming.
She wasn't losing the last thing she loved that was alive. It would have been too soon. Little Aqua would soon realize that his papa was not coming back any time soon... and she dreaded that moment. For now she would try to distract him from that pain of growing up without one. She prayed to Primus he wouldn't mind. "Shh... shh little Aqua... You're not in the claws of that fiend anymore. He won't hurt you as long as mommy's around." The femme cooed, tapping her forehead against his once more.

Weld raised his cybrows when he saw the Decepticon's face. It was . . . interesting to say the least. He took the visor away slowly. The face was certainly very interesting, but he was forced to tear his eyes away from it. He had a visor to fix. It would be very simple to fix. The jagged cuts running through its surface fortunately didn't reach very far down. Weld held it up to his own eyes, so as to get a better fix on what the Decepticon was seeing. Weld saw the issue. The cracks, while mostly superficial, and easily curable with a basic healing device, we're still enough to fracture the vision of anyone looking through it. He pulled out his very own healing device, one that was certainly anything but basic. Due to being specifically made to close smaller wounds in an instant, it was able to easily clear up the apertures in the visor. Weld walked back over to Compass and gently took the smaller Cybertronian's hand, so as not to startle him too bad. "Alright, I've fixed that. There's one thing I need you to do for me. Can you stand up and just walk from one end of the room to other? I want to see if your equilibrium sensor, or anything else in your head, got messed up."(( Compass ))

Able to listen, and mostly guess at what the other mech was doing, Compass felt himself relax slightly. Just slightly. While in enemy territory he would never conceive of letting his guard down completely, and so for now he simply let his shoulders fall down while one hand rested in his lap and the other gripped the side of a table tightly. It was tight enough that it left small dents in the metal. Compass had always been good at knowing when he was watched. Being a scout meant that he had had to learn many tricks for the profession, meaning that for him it was pretty easy to spot tails or predict the spot where enemies would be hiding. He realized, if a bit late, that the little fireworks drone they'd almost run into earlier would surely have sent a report back to its owner. Creator? Whatever it considered itself. His crash site being a mere two klicks away from Iacon's walls, and this workshop being roughly five klicks away, meant that Weld and himself were operating on borrowed time. It wouldn't be long before someone came investigating, and he wanted to be far away when that happened. Preferably somewhere like Kaon. He'd heard Weld's footsteps (in this close proximity how could he not?) and felt a familiar device being delivered into his servos. He let go of the table and used both hands to quickly slide the helm back in place, the latches snapping and pulling it tight against his head. His optic covers retreated and he lifted his head while lowering his arms. The crack was gone. He could see straight again. And the diagnostics program was already running, although Weld had spent less time than he expected fixing it so he genuinely doubted any kind of tampering. "Yes," Compass finally replied, a note of wariness in his voice. He knew that was going to be problematic but his skittish nature was becoming more prevalent. "But there's no time for that. My proximity to Iacon is significantly more problematic."With his concerns voiced, he straightened to his full height to step forward. And he almost immediately fell over. Compass's arm shot out and his digits wrapped around a piece of Weld's armor; that stopped him from clattering to the floor. hargablargaWhirl (I know this doesn't directly affect you but I didn't forget about you) Hexcode (same as above and I didn't forget about you either)

Whirl returned his attention to overwatching. Sure, an ex-Wrecker and former bodyguard couldn't possibly know anything at all about looking after people and was just itching to hurt kids. "Let's motor," he finished. RedOptics

At last, the final shuttle came down. It was a bit damaged, but was relatively intact. Inside was Methuselah and Vatimus Prime. Vatimus looked to the ancient mech and said, "It's gonna be a little rough of a landing. I recommend bracing." He wasn't sure if the mech would understand him, but he hoped that the mech could at least get the idea from him grabbing onto a bar on the wall as the came down. The shuttle hit the ground, skipped a few times before skidding to a stop. Comparatively to how it could be, it was quite a safe landing. Vatimus went to the exit and tried to get it open. Seeing as power went out upon landing, he had to manually get the door out. It wasn't too hard as he pressed his strength against the door and after a moment, it tore off. Vatimus walked out and tossed the door aside. After that, he motioned everyone out. The Autotroopers aboard all stepped out and made a defensive circle with Vatimus at the center, arms crossed as he overlooked the Ruined Iacon. Their first objective was to regroup with Autobot forces which should've landed nearby. ( Methuselah )

Weld caught the smaller cybertronian with his left arm and gently set him upright. "I was planning to drive you there if I determined that your sensor was off. But, ah, you seem to be able to fly well, so you don't have to rely on me unless you want to." Weld told him. He stood up. "Unfortunately I only build and mend stuff. I'm not a head stuff kinda guy. I know the 'cons have one of two medics that I'm aware of, probably more." Weld thought. He couldn't recall ever going the distance that Kaon was from Iacon. He'd made up his mind far earlier, but now he was beginning to have doubts. After ruminating for a few seconds, he shoved those thoughts to the back of his mind. "Alright. Looks like we're gonna find that Decepticon ship over in Kaon." he said with a slight sigh. (( Compass))

"How do you know about our medics?" he said after a long moment of silence. Compass turned his head up towards Weld slowly. He was frowning at him more deeply than before after listening to that statement. Or was his expression resultant of him saying he couldn't do anything about his balance issues? "We?"hargablarga

Vatimus looked around still. Wandering where absolutely everyone was. Methuselah was still in the shuttle or something, but everyone else seemed to be... Just not here... This was a problem as he was looking for his fellow soldiers right now, not a bunch of track marks.
He flipped on his comms and was getting some static, but it was relatively clear. Good, that mean't he could contact them. He spoke into his comms, trying to get though to someone. :This is Vatimus, any Autobots out there? I repeat, this is Vatimus. If anyone is out there, please respond.:

"Well, uh. . . yes, we. We gotta get out of here and I don't want you making the journey on your own." Weld told the Decepticon. He tapped the side of his head, saying, "I'm afraid that you'll crash because of the broken equilibrium sensor." He could understand the Decepticon's worry. The small mech still didn't trust him, something that often happened. He was just happy to be helping people. He leaned slightly against the table. If Decepticon decided to make the journey on his own, Weld knew he couldn't do anything to stop him. Sometimes they were stubborn like this, and Weld had seen more than one Cybertronian die because they had been too suspicious, or too proud, to let him help them. He hoped his patient made the "right" choice. (( Compass))
