Factions
America - One of the most powerful countries across the world, America is just one of the many organisations that has had contact with Cybertronian technology, with much of their development from far back as the 1900s being at least influenced by Cybertronian tech. Since the end of world war two a government force known as Skywatch was created with the purpose of developing and reverse engineering Cybertronian technology. This group in 2025 controls special mechanized forces put together to continue researching the alien artifacts found in the Pacific Ocean.
America's primary Mech is the M5 Winfield, a version of the Balance chassis
China (Chinese Imperial Union) - Out of the countries that exist in this universe, China is one of the most radically changed. With it's possession of Cybertronian technology having allowed rapid expansion and an improved response during world war two which allowed it to annex the country of Japan along with a number of other Asian countries including both North and South Korea. While many other Asian countries have joined an Asian Union with similarities to the EU, the main military force of this organisation is a Chinese funded force known as the Dragon's Teeth a special mechanized force with expertise in being highly mobile across a variety of terrains.
China's primary Mech is the Sun Wu Jijia, a version of the Scout Chassis
Russia - It is likely to no ones surprise that the superpower Russia possesses one of the largest military forces on the planet. More importantly though their mechanized force Krasnaya Perchatka (translated as Red Gauntlet) is known for it's possession of some of the strongest and largest mechs on the planet. This is due in part because when a Decepticon ship crashlanded on the planet it's power core was found only a few miles outside of Moscow and has since then helped create some of the greatest energy cores on the planet.
Russia's primary Mech is the M-34R, a version of the Brute Chassis
Technology Progression
The technology of Earth's factions are detailed below in different tiers, the progression of these tiers is based on humanities awareness of Cybertronians as well as their access to cybertronian tech. As a result revealing yourself will result in rapid escalation. The progression of tiers will be decided upon by a moderator.
Stage one: The starting phase of factions on Earth, the different human factions on Earth only have regular access to their primary mech.
Balance - One of the three original frames, suitably named the balance chassis is the jack of all trades possessing better speed and mobility than the Brute while being more durable than the Scout. It is on average between 20 and 25ft tall and weighs roughly 30 tons. It's balanced abilities allows it to be a successful frontline assault vehicle.
Scout - One of the three original frames, the scout chassis is the smallest and most agile of it's generation though at the cost of reduced durability. It is on average between 16 and 21ft tall and weights roughly 21 tons. The scout specializes in hit and run tactics.
Brute - One of the three original frames, the brute chassis is the stronger and largest of it's generation though at the cost of reduced mobility. It is on average between 25 and 30ft tall and weights roughly 68 tons. The brute specializes in holding positions.
Stage two: The different human factions now have regular access to all three versions of the stage one mechs. At phase two thruster technology is integrated successfully to allow rapid movement through the use of dashes, though the scout is still significantly faster than it's competitors.
Stage Three: The different factions on Earth now have access to a specialized mech based off their primary mech chassis. These mech's are rare at this stage though and largely prototypes.
Tracker - The tracker mech is based off the balance chassis, with it's name originating from the specialized technology it possesses designed to track and locate targets. In addition to it's specialization as a reconnaissance expert much of it's armaments consist of guided missiles and similar explosive weaponry.
Valkyrie - The Valkyrie mech is a heavily modified scout chassis with even further increased mobility at the cost of less durability. On most occasions this doesn't matter however as the Valkyrie specializes in long range combat as a sniper role dealing high damage. To further it's abilities this mech possesses unique thrusters which allow temporary flight, though more akin to hovering and for a very short duration.
Bulwark - The natural evolution of the Brute chassis, the Bulwark is a mech steeped in defense-based technology. Keeping close to the core ideology of the Brute, the Bulwark is able to sacrifice its mobility entirely in trade for better durability, employing a transformation mechanism that locks it in position to increase its armour. In addition to this, the Bulwark employs a devastating rotary cannon, that further cements its foundation as a powerful defensive unit.
Stage Four: Specialized units become more common, all factions can use stage three mechs now. As an attempt to increase durability of mechs, new shielding technology is added to all mechs. These shields are however of limited use requiring limited batteries to maintain them, which must be filled at charging stations since they currently do not regenerate over time.
Stage Five: The different factions Earth have access to additional specialized mechs based on their primary chassis.
Battery - The battery mech is based off the balance chassis. Out of all the mech's the battery is the most capable of sustained operation with a regenerating power source which powers it's shields, weapons and abilities. One such ability includes the prototype mirror shielding which can catch and reverse projectiles increasing it's defensive ability while also encouraging an aggressive style.
Knight - The Knight mech is based off the scout chassis. It is in many ways a direct improvement of the traditional scout chassis with the inclusion of developmental technology being the major change to it's predecessor, arguably though the Knight is specialized for close range with the use of a mental-link between pilots and machine controls designed to significantly improve the vehicles reactions allowing for the use of melee combat along with cloaking technology for flanking and escaping allowing advanced use of hit and run tactics.
Ignition - The Ignition mech is based off the Brute chassis. Out of the specialized mechs it is arguably one of the most simple, with it's focus on area denial being attained through excessive use of fire and heat most notably thermite. This isn't to say it's not a dangerous mech as with the use of gas traps a Ignition killzone can be one of the most lethal areas in existence even for experienced Cybertronians.
Stage six: All factions gain access to stage five mechs and all mechs possess mental-links. Balance gains the use of mirror shield, though it doesn't regenerate like Battery. Brute gains the ability to create hardlight shields which provide static cover from a single direction. Bulwark gains access to hardlight shielding on minigun allowing mobile cover from single direction. Valkyrie gains ability to properly fly for a period of time
