With the new Reboot coming up, new leaders will be chosen. This election will last for a week but if one candidate gains at least five votes and three votes more than anyone else, that person wins.
If the candidates want to tell you why they should lead, they will do so down below in this thread.

As a notice whoever wins this vote will be the final elected leader, further leadership changes will occur due to IC events.

Candidate Livewire here! You deserve to know who your candidates are before you vote for them. You can read Livewire's bio here. So, here is a bit more about me as a leader:
How active will I be? As active as I can be. I'll be available on Discord almost every day. In the forums, I would do at least a post weekly, but will probably be able to do a post daily.
What experience do I have? I've been roleplaying for five years now, and have experience in different types of roleplay (e.g. casual, combat). I'm an admin on another RP server, and I play an Autobot commander. I have 9 players and 8 characters under my control. I work closely with other admins to enforce rules and organise events.
What are my goals for the Decepticons? Out of character, my goals would be to improve roleplay on the site. One aspect of that is helping players improve the quality of their roleplaying. I've read some of the threads and have some knowledge on how things could be improved. I feel confident enough in my RP skills that I could help others, and having some authority would help that. I also know that there is a shortage of the Decepticons, so I'd try to recruit more to balance out the factions. I want to help the staff run the site, be it through organising events or organising ranks to make things run as smoothly as possible.
In character, Livewire would want to introduce structure into the Decepticon ranks. He wants to create an efficient workforce that has a chance of defeating the Autobots, and that starts with a stricter leading style. No more running off and picking random fights without purpose; unnecessary killing will be kept to a minimum. The Decepticons thus far have been unruly and rebellious- he won't give them as long a leash to mess around with. After getting the Decepticons back under control, he would want to secure a source of energon and establish a base of operations on one of the planets (whichever we start on/whichever he can).
He wants to bolster forces by training their fighting skills, outfitting them with improved weapons (he specialises in engineering) and possibly increasing the number of Vehicons they have at their disposal. He would want to gather intel on the Autobots. He prefers sabotage and subterfuge rather than brute force alone. Once he's sure they are strong enough and prepared, he would want to expand to other planets and drive back Autobot forces wherever they pop up. He isn't interested in the power he's secured for himself. He is undoubtedly loyal to the cause and to winning the war, and he will not hesitate to end whoever stands in his way.
As more is revealed about the reboot, his plans may change, but I guarantee I will be open about my choices as the Decepticon leader.
What is my stance on help? I won't hesitate to ask for help, especially if it's something I don't think I can handle myself or have less experience with. I haven't handled a forum as big as TFG, so of course I might have some issues to begin with. While I'm confident in my ability to lead, I'll be open minded and gladly accept help.
As for giving help, I'm glad to give help where I can and make things easier for staff, as well as for players on the site. One of my goals is to improve role playing, so I'll be happy to help in that respect. I won't help if I'll do more harm than good though; I'll leave that to whoever can handle it better.
Why should we vote for you? As mentioned previously, I'm quite new to the site. I hold little bias to anyone/anything. You can rest assured that I will pick only the best options for the forums and my faction. Livewire isn't a character obsessed with his own personal gain. And because I've had little experience with the site before the reboot, I will not be as attached and be more enthusiastic about changes to come. Rather than clinging to the past, you will get a fresh new start.
If you want a stable, functioning faction, vote for me. If you want the story and the site to progress, vote for me. If you want to mix things up a bit, vote for me, because you probably don't know who I am. Yet.

Air Commander Starscream here, the true heir to Megatron's throne! Here to lead the Decepticons to rule the galaxy!
Hey guys, some of you might remember me and I most apologise for my time inactive for irl reasons but I am back and ready to kick start this reboot with a bang!
I would first like to state that despite my disappearances I am making it my absolute mission to stay active on a weekly basis and participate in as much as I can to catch up on the months of rp I've missed out on.
Experience: Despite being roleplaying for about 4 years now, I shall admit that I have never been given a position of leadership in a text based roleplay forum, but I have had to handle the hassling work of being a guild master of a few roleplay World of Warcraft guilds which I had managed to become a very well respected in the realm I was in, for this I had to take command of events which involved me thinking of ways to make events more interesting for the guildies, manage every ooc aspect to a MMO guild such as campaigns, ranks, style and most importantly the people I appeal to.
Plans for OOC: I believe the first thing I would need to organise would be whether to keep the old rank system, or implement a new one with both the input of the admin team and what the other cons desire, it is you guys that make a leader who he is and I would love to hear your input upon what you would like to change or what you think should stay. Following this I will be heavily discussing the next stages of campaigns and events for this faction to make it feel fresh and not in a stage of drought. As I have stated earlier, I have never taken the mantle of leader on any role play forum so I may be slightly slow to start so I will need you guys more than anything really, in the end this all depends on how we are starting this new reboot, when I have the necessary information I shall begin to work with what I have.
Icly as you are all aware, I am playing Starscream so don't expect a con that has all his wires in the right places, but finally taking the mantle of leader Starscream would like to finally do what the Decepticon cause stood for. To make Cybertron great again, I would like to rebuild our home planet into a mighty empire, something Starscream has been desperately wanting for so long, to once again live in a golden age, to have peace may that empire be on his home world or another. That will be the end goal, to start I believe setting up a small outpost on Cybertron to act as the grounded base of operations whilst sending strike forces to different planets to collect resources or convince residents to fight the good fight until I have enough to begin ANOTHER war on a huge scale, all the whilst forcing the Autobots to flee the planet once again. I will attempt to rid the Autobots from Cybertron and create a new Golden era in the Decepticon's image, if I am to fail in this grand war, I shall seek a new world to build our race a new home. And that is just the summary, who knows what crazy scheme Starscream has in between all this. I can ensure you there will be a fair few!
As an actual person I believe myself to be a very open guy, I don't like to make a decision unless everyone else has agreed on it and I'm sure I can respond to any request you have for me, I will make sure to help as many as I can and provide a good friendly environment to all.
So why should you vote for me? Other than everything I have already mentioned? Well...I AM AIR COMMANDER STARSCREAM! THE TRUE HEIR TO MEGATRON'S THRONE! And I think this reboot can present many golden opportunities to develop a well driven story line with the most logical Decepticon taking that mantle as leader, and a crazy leader at that! But in the end it is your choice, I hope you have made the decision to choose me and I hope to see you all in the reboot!

Hey guys! Astrinal here! As you can see I am running for Decepticon leadership, and all voters have a right to know more about myself. Below are just a few highlights about myself!
How Active am I? I am online as much as I can. I'm on the site and discord as much as humanly possible. OC wise I'm usually ticking away in the chats every day. My discord pms are always open 24/7 [ Luci 'ᵈᶤᵍᶤᵗ'#2839 ]. IC I try to post every day to every other day.
How much experience do you have as a leader? On an administrative stance, I've had a total of a year and a half years serving as one of the site's two moderators. I've learned on this forum that every person's voice matters. I've also learned everyone should be allowed to be involved in any plot or idea if they wish. If you elect me as leader, I will carry these morals OC wise.
What kind of leader is Astrinal? Astrinal is faithful to Megatron's leadership ideology; to cleanse conflicts and bring the cybertronian race back to the military power it should be. Astrinal will enforce this simple ideology by whatever means necessary. She will be ruthless and unforgiving if you make a mistake, and be pleased if you bring glory to the decepticons. Astrinal does not choose favorites, but she will remember good and bad impressions.
As a forewarning, I'm not like this OC! xD out of character wise I'll be hands on and hear out what every faction member wants. If a faction event arises, I want to get everyone involved. I love to cherish this side of role playing, and make things memorable for every member of the decepticons!
How do you handle help? Not everyone is perfect, which is understandable. I handle help both ways; I accept it when I'm in times of need, and I help others when they are also in need. On a personal note, I take it very well. Any advice or assistance I receive OC is always appreciated!
What are your goals for the Decepticon? As I stated before, the decepticons must bring the cybertronian race back to the military power it once was. However, I will emphasize that the autobots are not in this future ;D
And do you want me to be super frank? What fun is being leader if you've got a set agenda for everyone to follow? What I want to do is what you guys want to do!
There is a fixed note, however, that Astrinal will want to make the decepticons more harsh and disciplined (if you call it that lol). Chaos amongst the faction is not an option, and crimes against the cause will be delt with swiftly.
Why vote for me? I love the site as a whole with a burning passion. If I'm leader, I want to help create the best story your character can take apart in! IC wise I'll do my best to get everyone envolved, and make this rp a helluvah fun time! OC wise I want to be able to create a relaxed environment where everyone is welcome and can instantly join and feel like family. This is what I strive for as both a mod and a leader!
On a personal note, I've never been given a chance to lead a faction here on the site. I've tried and failed, and I haven't had a good enough chance until now. I will not let you down, and Astrinal wont either.

Who am I?
I'm Backbeat, current Decepticon Leader (twice in office). And I am the usual suspect when things get crazy.
What would I do as Leader?
In the reboot I want to refocus us as a company. I want to create a decentralized government so to speak, we would have a fortress on the Planet CHAAR we would be rebuilding into the seat of power for a new empire! The Decepticon forces would be split into separate units to tackle each planet. Units will follow infiltration protocols on each planet, unit leaders would have freedom to run their operations as they see fit while still following the directives I would give them. Each team would have a small Warship and their own hierarchy, but ultimately would answer to me.
The infiltration protocols are as follows 1. The initial infiltration of a planet's society and gathering of intelligence. 2. Covert destabilization of society in secret. Primarily through spy work and sabotage. 3. Decepticon forces move to secretly eliminate threats and prepare. 4. Decepticon forces drop cover and attack targets directly 5. All out war, focus on plundering resources. 6. The final invasion of destabilized planets on the brink of collapse and the elimination of any possible resistance. (clean up)
Goals?
I'm going to plunder planets until I can turn Planet Chaar into the greatest weapons platform in existence... Then use it to destroy my foes, conquer Cybertron, and subjugate the universe!
The topic of help.
I've actually for awhile been trying to create a system of organization that doesn't just rely on one single person. I plan on having my command staff be very active in governing the faction in a wide variety of roles. Help is always welcome.
What kind of leader is Backbeat Reboot leader Backbeat is going to be more focused on the planner aspect of Backbeat, he's still going to have a relaxed attitude and be humorous when he feels like it. But the focus is more what I've been playing recently, Backbeat as a planner and less of a lol random lunatic.
Why vote for me? Easy, you all want to see what I do next...

I'll go ahead and kick this off with few questions for the four Decepticon candidates. First off, I think we're all interested in hearing how you plan to diversify your leadership from the failed leaders of the past (especially those who were canon characters such as Megatron and Shockwave). So, to the point, why will your plan work? Do you have confidence in your abilities to lead a competent, if not successful, Decepticon campaign compared to the campaigns of the past? Now, on a more personal note. I only saw Livewire include a link to their character's bio in their statement, but we all know that these elections are just as important to consider in-character as they are out-of-character. Who is your character, and what individual qualities do they bring to the plate for the faction as a whole? (For those of you who have already brought up some of these points, please feel free to elaborate by going deeper into describing your character, or displaying a different, unmentioned aspect of your character.) And finally, you've all mentioned your intentions for the Decepticon base of operations, whether it be on a starting planet, on a planet unincluded in the first five (see: Backbeat, plans for "Chaar"). How flexible are you on these plans? Specifically, Backbeat: you seem to have very firm, rigid plans with little room for variation. Perhaps you could explain why, and how you think this will benefit the Decepticons. And which, if any of you, would be willing to change your plans to fit the needs and/or wants of the site's Decepticon role players? Backbeat, Highwire | Livewire, Astrinal, Starscream

To answer your first question Graphene, at this point in time I have no real idea or to what extent the past leaders have done may it be good or bad, I have heard the last Megatron did some very questionable deeds but I am unaware to the specifics, I think the main failure to usual events is the lack of communication. I will ensure that whatever I have or pan it shall be brought up with the other leaders and admins so that on a OOC basis we all can agree on what we can and cannot do for campaigns, events etc. Don't get me wrong I'll have some crazy ideas being the psychopathic Starscream, I'll get to that later, but I will make sure that everyone is in agreement to my next plan. To answer your second question besides dropping in my bio which I shall do at the end of this (however it still requires some work) I have decided to create a more psychotic Starscream than ever before, no longer is he a coward but instead he is a deranged killer that values nothing more than to rule over an empire whilst keeping the smallest hint of his sanity left to fulfil the Decepticon cause. He may be twisted and corrupt now but even Starscream doesn't want to lose his home again and would his limits to his actions if it meant damaging the planet. To the faction as a hole Starscream would be looking for icons of his soldiers, granting them much praise when victories but also striking a harsh punishment for failure, still keeping to his ways he wants his men to praise him for his kindness but also be able to have as much allies as possible if he wishes to fulfil his end goal. To answer your final question, being classic Starscream if he can't take Cybertron he will look for a new world to build his empire and if not that one, the next until eventually taking one for his own, he may use different tactics to gain these worlds may it be aggressive or diplomatically, for this is something he has desired ever since joining the Decepticon cause, to take Cybertron would be to bring all Decepticons home and finally live the dream they have all fought for for thousands even millions of years. If the Decepticons all agree onto another finalised plan I shall not hesitate to call it to consideration if that is what they want, as I have previously mentioned I don't want to take this mantle of leadership and decide everything for everyone, I want to make sure that each decision has been discussed, understood and finally executed if everyone can agree on it. I thank you for your questions and I am glad you took the time to ask them! Edit transformersgalaxyrp.freeforums.net/thread/2043/starscream here is the link to the bio

Thank you for your questions Graphene! I've taken them into consideration and prepared my answers below.
Of course, I have confidence in my abilities as a leader, or I wouldn't have signed up. Why will my plan work? I plan to create a structured faction, with a stable leader. You'll find that Livewire is different than previous Decepticon leaders. He isn't bloodthirsty or trigger-happy, and doesn't take particular interest in destroying cities with fantastical schemes. Rather, he is controlled, not destructive. The reboot happened because of past events, and Livewire will not allow events such as those to occur again (without good reason).
As you mentioned, I have already linked Livewire's bio, but I would be happy eo elaborate further in this thread. On the surface, Livewire is a highly skilled scientist, specialising in weapons engineering. As a result, he is a skilled fighter and has the intelligence to lead a faction. He comes off as cold and callous, because he is, but his lack of emotion makes him a strong leader. He is not easily dissuaded. He would make decisions with the utmost care after analysing all different variables and considering the views of his command chain. Truthfully, he harbours some care for the bots around him, so he would be passionate as a leader to doing right by them. This is not obvious at first; he prefers not to show something that could be perceived as weakness. He has tact to plan out attacks and to even retreat if the odds aren't in their favour, rather than making displays of bravado. Livewire is a leader that puts the faction before himself. He will always make the best choices, and never on a whim.
As for the plans I proposed, I will definitely be flexible on them. My plans were only a guideline of what Livewire might do as leader, and they will certainly change as the RP goes on. His plans aren't as rigid as he is, and he is willing to change things for the best rather than sticking to what his ideal goals are. Out of character, I want to include everyone in my decisions as leader. If the forum needs something else, I will see to it that something is worked out. If the forum wants something else, it will definitely be considered. I value my faction's opinions, as they are the people fighting for the Decepticons! It would be unfair for me to solely make decisions on what I want. This is something for all of us. If it is reasonable, I see no reason why it couldn't be included. Of course, I will not blindly accept everyone's suggestions in an attempt to please everyone. That is impossible, and would be unfair on the faction.
I hope I've shown you that I've put a lot of thought into what a leadership with Livewire would be like. I would be happy to answer any other questions anyone may have.

1.Mostly, I'm trying to get Decepticon forces to run more independently. Rather than focus on one plan we would be running multiple schemes at once.
2. Unless my reputation has not preceded me. Backbeat is a mad schemer. An unpredictable and underhanded Decepticon who treats war like it's a game to be won.
3. Chaar is a pet project of mine. Mostly cause I'm sick of two reboots in having the SAME DAMN SHIP! I figured it would be fun to have a nice big playground to play in. Heck, I'm cool with other plans too. So long as I never have to see that ship again.

I'm satisfied with Livewire and Backbeat's concise responses, and Astrinal has yet to get around to hers. Starscream, lets go into your answers.
First and foremost, your lack of activity in and familiarly with the group's past overall has left you unable to provide a real answer to the first question. That's understandable, though concerning. But more on that later.
You say you're playing a "more psychotic Starscream," and I don't think people actually knows what that means. Perhaps not even you. So, let's look at the definition of psychotic to delve deeper into the meaning of this.
The definition of psychotic: "of, denoting, or suffering from a psychosis." The definition of psychosis: "a severe mental disorder in which thought and emotions are so impaired that contact is lost with external reality."
Yikes. That brings a whole new slew of questions and concerns for the Decepticons' potential future leader. Most importantly, how do you think a leader who's lost contact with reality could possibly lead an entire army competently? Especially one with such a history of chaos, rebellion, and anarchy, it seems too big a job for such an unstable character. Additionally, all of your points contradict the play style you've described. How would you ever be able to justify coordinating things OOC with the site's staff and the Decepticon RPers, when a psychotic character would not be reasonably capable of listening to counsel from their subordinates? Either you'd have to blend OOC with IC and make Starscream act OOC from what you've described, or you'd have to let him take all credit IC for others' plans, limiting the Decepticons' opportunities for the "praise" you've spoken of giving so generously. I don't think I have to explain how greatly this would deter people from giving plot ideas OOC. And if your rebuttal to this is that Starscream would listen to his subordinates' suggestions, then you're not truly playing a "more psychotic Starscream than ever before."
Now, back to the point of your answer to the first question. You said so yourself, "at this point in time I have no real idea or to what extent the past leaders have done may it be good or bad [...]" This is because you've been absent from the group. This isn't something to be used against you, because we all need a break now and again and there's nothing wrong with that- it's not your fault you weren't here for several major events. But your answers to both of the other questions makes it pretty clear that you sound like you'd be repeating the major mistakes that provoked the site's desire for a reboot in the first place- and through no fault of your own, granted. Because how could you know you're making mistakes that have already been made if you haven't been keeping up on the site's RP?
All in all, many of your points contradict each other, and your "more psychotic" Starscream sounds like a downgrade, not an upgrade, and certainly not the fresh start that people are trying to give the site with this reboot.

I believed I may have used the wrong word to describe my take on Starscream, I think now the more appropriate word would be insane and paranoid, I still have not had time to edit my original profile which I believe was made in February or March earlier this year, as you have clearly pointed out I have used the wrong word for that description, his long abuse by Megatron has driven him to a point of insanity hence why he becomes more ruthless in his actions and acts more with his lust for revenge rather than his intellect but only when provoked by his paranoia, being his obsession with being better than Megatron as a leader, so he in turn does not contradict all he has boasted about for so long.
I believe you are completely right in my response to my first question and unfortunately you are right as to what I have missed but this is why I am so heavily relying on the decisions I make be one that is accepted by all and even plans others have thought of been put to work. Yes, I understand my absence has left me quite uninformed in IC and OOC matters with previous leaders, whenever or whoever that may have been, and that is something I cannot really change, all I can do at this point is to ensure that whatever plan I make, may it be IC or OOC is noted by everyone and is open to discussion upon, therefore I can learn from the comments given and work my way to find a solution/or consider another more refined solution by another member, that is not seen as another mistake of bad leadership.
And to be honest this sort of thing is exactly what I mean by how I wish to deal with me and how I wish to promote ideas, already I have been shown a perspective of my answers and already I am leaving ever the more wiser, with both an understanding of my contradictory and, I hope, ways I can work around it. Some may view it as a very unhelpful aspect to their potential new leader and I understand if that may be the case this is a voting poll after all the other candidates are there if you see them more fit to take the mantle over me, but we all have to start somewhere and better start now than never!
I appreciate your comment made on my answers do let me know if you have anything else that may be seen as a problem!

Due to a number of votes that are unfair as well as limitation in the polling system we are requesting that all voters post their votes here, and those who have been contacted for unfair voting comply with requests to remove their votes.
For those unaware of standard voting rules; you may only vote in the Decepticon poll if you have an approved Decepticon character, you may only vote once (do not use additional accounts to make multiple votes), and do not vote for yourself if your running the election. Failure to do so will result in a warning, further failure to rectify the problem will result in a temporary ban from the forums until votes are sorted.
