It's that time of year again. It's election time! As leaders do have to get replaced sometimes, and it was a while since last one. I admit that it should have been a long time ago. But now, about the election. It is held so that the community/factions have a way of saying who they want to lead them for the next couple of months. The time will be following: A week of nominations, starting December 13th. this is followed up by the actual polling election which lasts until December 31st. The point is to start the year fresh, with possibly new leaders. In terms of nominations a player will be expected to state the character of their's that they are nominating, alongside an optional piece on why they should be chosen. Any posts used to deride or insult another candidate will be deleted, further insults will lead to account punishments. The only person prohibited from leading is the leader of the opposite faction. This means that the same person who is assigned the Prime role may not also hold the Supreme Commander role. On the other hand however the same person that is the Decepticon SiC can also be the Autobot Prime with another of their characters and vise-versa. In the rare occasion that someone receives the top vote for both Autobot Prime and Decepticon Supreme Commander then they must decide the faction they will lead. From there the other faction will receive a repoll. Current leaders must also nominate themselves to be included. The nominations will finish on the 31st of December to be followed directly by the leadership poll. Character Name: Notes: Example Character Name: Shadow-Strike Prime (has a nice ring don't it ) Notes: I believe I would be a good leader because... blaa blaa blaa... cool name... blaa blaa blaa... matrix of leadership... blaa blaa blaa... Did I mention I was once Decepticon Commander... blaa blaa blaa... and that is why I should be leader.

Character Name: New character - Sarune (Not created yet but would be created for the purpose of making a leader)
Notes: Now traditionally I wouldn't be considering taking a position of leadership in either faction, not because I can't but rather because my characters are traditionally not built for a leadership position. On this occasion though I feel it necessary that I at least make an effort to build towards making a character who can improve the current status of the forums. It is my opinion that at this moment Transformers Galaxy is facing a multitude of problems, not just that at current the factions appear to have little in form of direction but also that in many ways the current leaders have decided to focus on quantity over quality.
For examples that justify this opinion I only require to point towards the Nemesis Down event along with the Moscow Mistake. On both occasions grand armies have appeared in a style that may be compared to something out of the Lord of the Ring movies, though unlike the mentioned media these battles have fallen flat due to a decision of style over substance. We have massive forces and although one may argue the Decepticon armies in almost all media have been depicted as so the same cannot be said for the Autobots, despite this we have still ended up with clusters of neverending enemies which are expected to be a threat but due to their nature as NPCs have no chance of being so. People do not like having their protagonist struggle against mooks, if TF RPing was a video game it would be something akin to Call of Duty with our NPCs as the canon fodder on easy mode while other players are the 'more' balanced multiplayer mode.
This brings us to a problem then; NPCs are not fun to fight without moderation. A enemy consisting of only NPCs is either a pushover and therefore boring, or overpowered with endless hordes and therefore also boring if not outright frustrating. The endless Russian hordes of Moscow, and the consequent dropout of bored and frustrated Decepticon players are a clear example of this. In this regard I understand that at current the Autobot and Decepticon forces have apparently been firmly reduced. This means little against the countless human armies which get supertech buffs as well as the fact what's to stop either factions reproducing such armies out of thin air on a whim.
So my solution to this problem is rather simple. I shall take the focus off NPC armies, and instead put it where it belongs on the OCs and canon characters the community of this forum creates. This while no longer be the story of the almighty and uncountable armies of the Autobots and the Decepticons, but rather the stories that you as rpers wish to display. The stories that matter to your character. The intense OC vs OC combat that this forum has shied away from in favour of measuring contests.
This is something though that I can only accomplish if it is something you the community want. If I am to dedicate myself to such a vision I shall require support not only from the Autobots who I intend to lead but also the Decepticons whoever they may be. For make no mistake this while be a departure from the current intentions of the forum; I shall not be focusing on making a ship to fly away from our troubles. I shall be making survivors ready to cling to a world even as the Decepticon war force attempts to hunt us down. This while be a change to the war; no longer of numbers but rather of people.
If this is not something that interests you then I am not the leader you should choose. I am not looking to create the 'best' unstoppable and invincible Autobot army because that does not match with my interpretation of canon or even what Transformers Universe and later Transformers Galaxy intended to portray. Instead I am looking to create a small faction (in comparison to the supposed thousands both sides currently have) and focus on ensuring that the faction is filled with dozens of capable players who have a role in some form or another. I want to reward people because they have made themselves a threat to the real enemy; not the easily killed canon fodder but rather the Decepticon players.
I want to create the best Autobot faction possible filled with special and talented rpers.
So I suppose that it then comes down to a question of why do I think I can do it. The truth is I'm not entirely sure I can; I'm not going to lie to people and say I'm perfect and that I understand everything I need to know about the current Autobot players. The truth is for most people who know me they're aware I'm a Decepticon player so my focus has never been primarily on the Autobots as anything but an enemy to crush. What I do know though is that I led the Decepticon forces during the final golden ages of TFU despite having not even attempted to gain the position, it literally got thrown at me. In that time I led both massive scale battles, as well as the skirmishes that made my OC infamous as 'the' bot-killer. So I do have experience in leading. What really matters though is I'm aware of my weaknesses and so if I do become leader I shall rely on you the players as much as you shall me.
This is not a problem though, far from it, instead this is an opportunity an acknowledgement that this shall not be a one man show, this shall not be an invasion of Decepticon ideals, this shall be a team effort a place not just for the new prime to shine on a single spotlight but rather a new stage for all those determined to help create a better group.
To finish off then I shall give everyone a simple idea of what to expect from Sarune if elected. She's an Autobot through and through, a former slave who was rescued by Autobot forces she herself shall always approve of freedom for all sentient beings. This does not mean she's an advocate of the 'greater good' or 'at all costs' mentality, she's seen how easily freedom can fall into lawlessness and abuse of physical power. Sarune is the type of leader who'll call out bullScrap, if your abusing your power and taking civilian lives you better have a good reason or she might not even come up with a reason for removing your head from your shoulders. Harsh but fair is a way I could describe her.
Quick summary - Remove focus from NPC armies - Focus on the roleplayer's characters - Return to more of the small scale skirmishes. - Reward players for making themselves a genuine threat to enemy players - Create a dependable faction which can make decisions alongside me rather than as a one man show - Create Sarune a harsh but fair leader.
Since there's also no rules against it I'll take any questions people have at this moment.

(Just staying IC here out of sheer "What if it actually happened" thing)
Whirl: "I nominate me as Whirl Prime. Under my guiding claws, I promise to kill Decepticons and shout at anybody who doesn't. I will also see that our overcrowded prisons are emptied by pushin' a "If you get captured, you're gonna get killed" policy. We're not here to sit around scratchin' our buttocks, people. We're here to kill Decepticons and then we can get back to Cybertron. That's right, I'm interested in gettin' away from this dirty organic planet. Oh, and collateral damage makes up for not hittin' your original target."

Name: Skyspray.
Notes: So, it has gone about... six months since last election results came into play. It was an eventful six months, I'll say that. Things went great in some cases, and things went bad. I'll give my thoughts on what went right and what went wrong. To start off, the Autobot high command. At the start, we were three people, working together. It was Bruiser, Shatterbeam and myself. It all went well, no real issues there. But then Bruiser, the maximus, stepped down to focus more on the decepticon side of things, which isn't a bad thing in its own. It did strain our work a little bit due to one less person, but we made it work. I knew that I wouldn't be able to handle everything by myself when school started because, as I predicted, things got in the way for Shatter, so I appointed a few people to help lead the faction as Heads.
This also worked relatively well in the beginning, but soon it began to fall apart too. More than half of the people in the AHC went inactive, some for good and some are going on and off without any real notice. Currently there are just three members of the AHC active, Diamond, Ratchet and myself. That's not a lot of people to run a faction, at least not how the factions are/were built. Before, during Feenixfire's command, (During that time period, not something caused by her, mind you), most things you saw were just, "Find location, fight, go repair, rise and repeat." Nothing really happened apart from that. There was no real goal to it except from fighting. That was what I wanted to change, to give the faction a goal rather than everyone just running around doing their own show. My vision was that of a unified autobot faction, a faction where everyone helped each other improve and a faction that wanted something, a faction with a goal.
Nowadays, my goal has not changed. It reamains the same, but the course has been altered. The faction as a whole has a goal, Regenesis. The new autobot base, which contrary to popular beliefs isn't an escape vessel. No, the bots are not going anywhere. Regenesis is just the new place that would give/could give the bots a chance of having an advantage/getting on equal grounds to the decepticons. It would basically fill the same role as the Nemesis did, but for the bots. Call me a copycat, but it was at least something as opposed to nothing. I actually consulted various of other autobots if they thought it was a good idea, and most of them if not all of them said yes. Regenesis can fly to cybertron if necessary though, so there is always that.
Regenesis would never have been able to function without the use of NPCs. The engines are way too massive for a group of regular bots to ever carry them away. The way I see it, NPCs shouldn't be the main focus of the story, no. However they shouldn't be disregarded as nothing either. It is true that they mostly are cannon fodder, filler for interactions and battles, but they exist and they exist for a reason. How often do we see someone get captured by the opposing faction? How many times do we see someone get killed? I can count both those situations on my one hand. It just doesn't happen, and It usually can't happen because of the "No kill/capture without permission" rule. In most cases NPCs are just there to fill the death quota, not to be any major threat. Regarding these events, NPCs were used in a very different manner than they were supposed to. This was as much a test as it was a real event, see how people cope with a huge amount of NPCs, to display a more realistic setting for those involved. With the result now obvious, The conclusion that I've reached is that it wasn't overly successful.
So what am I going to do about it? Firstly, the NPCs will mostly stay in the base, as they are needed to build Regenesis. We also only have 500 left because of the assault on the Nemeses and all our resources are used to build, not to produce more soldiers. What the cons do, that's up to them, I can't take responsibility for their actions. I've previously had good connections with the Decepticon leader, and if elected I will continue with such, all to provide as much to the community as possible. This also requires you to take some initiative too. The leaders can't always tell you what to do, I've seen far too many instances with people going "I don't know, you tell me, you are the leader." We all work together, you can if you try, that is what I believe. We need to work together, be smart instead of strong, as we are now much more on the defensive than ever before.
Can I keep leading the faction? Why should I keep leading? Firstly, I have a lot of experience in the field of the command. I've lead the autobots here for some time now, and I have served under Feenixfire a few times too. This does not mean I know everything, no. I've made mistakes, a lot of mistakes. I am determined to learn from those mistakes however, and prepared to do all that I can to help all of you. Because that is my duty, not to command an army but to be there for each one of you. Already I'm trying to interact with as many as possible. trying to make them feel needed and wanted in some way. It is hard with the current speed of things, but I think I'm doing an okay job with it. I also listen to my fellow community members, taking in their input to see if changes to the current system can be made. Sometimes they can, sometimes they can't. The ranks will be updated, Positions distributed and each rank will be more cear about what it can and can't do. You shall be rewarded for doing things, not just run around and do nothing.
Activity is also a big deal, and I am maybe the most active guy on the boards. A leader should be active, always there for his fellow RPers and able to help in some way, IC or OOC. I have been here since the start, think I have been offline for maybe a week total since then. I am on several hours every day, and even more hours in the chats and such. I am always available for a chat and I feel that it is my duty to keep in touch with the community, to make sure that everyone is as happy as they can be. My activity has its downsides though, and that is that I take on too much to handle, a prime example being the summer of 2015. I try to do too much and ultimately fail, but at least I know that. If i know I won't be able to do something, then I won't actually do it. It is a pretty big weakness of mine, I admit, but I promise to do my best.
For those who don't know who Skysray is, he is an Ex-con who left as a sparkling and became an autobot when he was adopted by autobots. Due to his Con upbringing, he isn't the typical autobot. He still thinks that freedom is everyone's right, but that it also has a price. Pulling the trigger first in a situation is not uncommon, because he knows that most decepticons would do the same. He despises cons, seeing as they side with the faction who regularly commited genocide on entire worlds, they should face justice. He knows that some cons aren't bad, but as they side with them they are okay with it, and thus not great people. Sky is the type of guy that would never leave an ally behind, he believs that they all are a team and should be treated with care. However harm a fellow bot and he won't hesitate to put you down or throw you in jail.
As a recap: -Decrease the NPCs on the field and keep them inside the base. -Keep building Regenesis to house future generations of bots and keep them safe. -Focus more on the group and working together. -Bring back small fighting, but doing it with a goal rather than just fighting. -Clearing up ranks and rewarding activity along with accomplishments. -Make the autobots into a faction that can function even if key members are missing where everyone can contribute and does contribute in their own way. -Try to make everyone have fun.

Shadowstrike since you wanted questions:
-What can you tell us about Sarune's IC style of eladership, from the front, from the command center, kind and caring, brutal and intimidating?
-What can you tell us about your first steps to achieving your Leader goals. Whats first on the agenda, ICly if it is easier.

Shadowstrike since you wanted questions:
-What can you tell us about Sarune's IC style of eladership, from the front, from the command center, kind and caring, brutal and intimidating? Sarune's Leadership first and foremost isn't on either side of the; from the front versus from the back extremes. In a non-combat scenario Sarune likes to get involved, she wants to know that everything is running smoothly and so often times she might look around to see how everything is going. At the same time she understands she doesn't know everything so she'll often delegate tasks or ask for assistance whether it be on something like an engineering problem all the way to a strategic military problem.
When it comes to combat Sarune leads more like a squad leader than a general for mass armies due to the fact she's used to leading small specialist groups rather than armies. In that regard she'll send out commands and expect them to be followed, but at the same point she trusts those around her and while often let them have enough autonomy as long as they complete the objective she desires. She won't tell a sniper where to set up, she'll give them there target(s) and tell them to make it possible. In terms of larger battles she'll often have a strategy meeting beforehand to work out a plan with other Autobots so she can focus on the here and now once on the field.
In terms of her leadership personality Sarune prefers to be friendly and caring, she finds teammates more efficient when there's a sense of camaraderie between them and so often tries to build on such bonds rather than as an intimidating overlord. She isn't naive though and if someones trying to use her to springboard up the rankings she won't give them a footing until they've proved themselves. In that regard Sarune prefers efficiency, in her opinion personalities mean very little as long as they accomplish their objectives without undermining Autobot values.
She used to be a pacifist long ago and though that no longer extends to combatants she's extremely critical of any Autobot who while drag non-combatants into a battle, whether that be a neutral cybertronian or any other race. If one finds themselves killing an uninvolved party Sarune while willingly show her darker and more jaded side treating them the same as any Decepticon she may come across. In her opinion the Autobot values of 'right to freedom for all sentient beings' is something any true Autobot should agree with and as such those that ignore such values completely and willingly kill innocents while be treated like the monsters they are.
Do not mistake her moral attitude to collateral damage as a sign she's a blinding light of purity however. Sarune is more than willingly to use assassins, spies, weapons of mass destruction and even send people on suicide missions if she believes it while further the Autobot cause without putting her main values at risk.
-What can you tell us about your first steps to achieving your Leader goals. Whats first on the agenda, ICly if it is easier. I think my first goal is checking over the Autobot rankings. At current there's a lot of blank spots and although I admit its nice to have a number of grand ranks it doesn't appear very good when many of the officer ranks including General, Heads (Science, Combat, Air), Lieutenants and Majors are empty. So my first action would be going over those rankings and maybe editing parts afterwards which I would then see how each active character fits in with the rankings. If I feel no one could fill the above ranks then I while admittedly likely keep them blank until someone is available to fit them. Though this may change mattering on my current idea for the rankings. The idea I have (which may or may not be used mattering on discussion with other Autobot characters) is to separate the rankings into different 'divisions'. These divisions while be similar to the current positions listed but have their own chain of command. The reason for this is a field medic may have a lower 'military rank' than a combat soldier with a medic subrole but they would likely outrank them in 'medicine' even if they aren't the head of that division. As such a character would be added to the chain of command of whichever roles they're character may fit in. For example my Autobot OC Sabre may be placed into the roles of Scouts, Aerial forces and Army (new name for ground forces), as such he'd have a different position in each division based on the abilities shown in each type. With this system it should be easy to assess who is the most accomplished at whatever role, as well as figuring out the capabilities of a person in other roles they show some talent for. After the rankings are sorted out I intend to run weekly (or fortnightly mattering on forum events) IC meetings which every Autobot while be invited to. Its during these discussions, plans and potentially plots while be discussed in character as well as reviewing any important events that have occurred. My intention from this is both to familiarise Sarune with the Autobot's as well as determining what other members would intend to do. If an important event occurs though Sarune may bring up an emergency meeting. Along with this I also intend to set up an in character notice board which while give overviews of current Autobot news, I while allow others to post on this thread if they wish to inform us about events however any posts deemed inappropriate while be deleted. This should help everyone have an idea of what is happening at least for the Autobot side of things as well as hopefully give a guideline of where our faction is headed. In addition to this I intend to create a mission board which while highlight the missions or objectives that should be completed within a certain timeframe, in most occasions these missions while be open to anyone and all that while be expected is a 'I've started this mission'. On some occasions though I would list specific characters who would be involved in the mission as well as their position (during a ranking evaluation I may give a character command of a squad to prove their abilities.). This should give purpose to the roleplay. All these objectives should be set up relatively soon after the election if I become prime, the only other objective I would have afterwards is minimising the presence of NPCs in combat. This should be accomplished first be acknowledging the major losses in recent battles as well as working meetings and missions around a strike team focus. I hope this has answered everything, if it hasn't or if you have other questions I'd be happy to answer them.

Character Name: Sparkflare
Notes: So this small application is gonna be a little but different from the others, but y'know wouldn't hurt to try it out and see how it goes.
So my goal in this is (strangely enough) not to become leader of the Autobots, but rather I aim for the more "subtle" roles that one may get in these elections: Magnus or Maximus (SiC and TiC respectively).
So why am I not going for the Prime role? For OOC reasons, I go to Scrap school with an even Scraptier "chain of command" and not all of my time can be fully spent on focussing on this. IC reasons, while Sparkflare may be more responsible, he isn't one to go claim leadership. In short: I don't feel like I am ready to go be the big man of the Autobots.
So why am I going for SiC/TiC instead? While I do not have any knowledge on how Feenixfire's High Command worked when she was Prime. I do have knowledge have on how AHC was for Skyspray as I am his Head of Medicine as Ratchet (mainly because the other medics weren't as active as I was).
So Skyspray's command consisted as Skyspray, himself, Shatterbeam as his SiC and Bruiser as the TiC. Gateway as his head of fliers, Red Optics as head of surveillance, Taggon as head of combat, Gearchange as the head of security, myself and that was it really. Quite a small group really. So what happened first was that Bruiser stepped down from his rank as TiC to go focus on his job as Decepticon leader, leaving an un-fillable space until the next election. Gateway gradually started to get unmotivated and left. Gear never really posted and Taggs and Shatter were, more or less, on-and-off.
So the only full-time members were me, Skyspray and Red. So stuff (from my perspective) was basically complicated. So if I am elected as Magnus or Maximus, what I would strive to do is to mainly make sure things run smoothly within the AHC (say person has a job ic and they have to go do some irl stuff, I'd temporarily take over that job for them, that kinda thing) as well as forward any goals or ideas for the faction that I might come up with during the course of my stay if elected. But the main goal here is to make sure that Autobot high command is stable and won't be heavily affected by absences for what ever reason.
Now onto terms of teamwork within the Autobot ranks. Now lets not lie to ourselves there are lone wolves on the forums and there is sure to be more popping in to be the main star of annoyance. Well another step on my to-do list would be to reward players who team up with others. For the time being I cannot go into specifics as I do not know the current system on how the ranks work. But basically the more people you team up with, the more points you and everyone else on your team earn.
So those are basically my OOC plans that are at the top of my head. Feel free and don't be shy to ask questions if you want to (it will probably jog my memory). So what about IC plans? Well finishing Regenesis counts more as an OOC plan than IC. Other than that I have none. Perhaps I will think of something closer to the time of voting.
Tl;dr and stuff I didn't list above because I forgot and/or too lazy to add them
- I'm not going for the Prime rank due to me being not ready to take up the responsibility. - Will be aiming to looking over High Command so the Prime-Elect's run will go smoothly so nothing goes wrong. Hence making the Autobot faction more closer together by working as a group. - Implement a system where the more people working in a team earn more points they each earn. - Finish Regenesis. Would go into a little bit more detail but Sky's app summaries that up fine so there is no point of being a parrot.

Character Name:Novaflame Notes:(ic policies to show what would happen if Novaflame becomes prime in the story line.) Novaflame: I nominate myself For Prime, because I feel that there needs to be changes made within this faction, I came here to earth as a neutral, but unavoidable circumstances lead to me becoming an Autobot. And while I have yet to get my brand, I pledge my spark to the cause, and to bringing about some new, innovative policies. I intend on getting my people back to cybertron, However, I am appalled that my some of my fellow cybertronians are not respecting the planet we are on, there is life here, and the Autobot code states that we are to respect the life of the planet we are on, be it cybernetic life, or organic. So we need to begin with changes with how we handle ourselves in regards to respecting other peoples worlds. We also need to remember, while I do respect our current leader, I do not agree with some of his policies, and while I am glad to have met him, and he may be lenient on some things, he is not so much on others. Such as how prisoners are treated, or the treatment of the world that they happen to be on, we would not like aliens coming to our world and wrecking it with their war, I am sure that the inhabitants of this world would feel the same with us and our war, therefore we MUST start treating other planets, reguardless of what kind of life is on it, with a little more respect, and not just favoring those with autonomous bio-mechanical life forms, favoritism ends with me.
New policies on the dossier include:
- Updated Indigenous Life Tolerance Policies
- Updated Prisoner Rights policies
- Updated Personnel Rights Policies
- Updated Duty Policies
- Updated Recreational leave time policies.
- Introduction of New Code of Honor
- Updated Code of Ethics Policies
These are the details of the new policies, and why I am implementing them if I am elected.
- I came here to get away from the war, and I just so happen to love nature and this world is beautiful, and I wish to preserve the nature here, I also happen to find the indigenous sentient lifeforms here to have some facinating cultures, and while the natives of some places on earth are far from perfect, I must admit, neither is our people, and we need to remember that. We are not the lords of this world, we are but visitors, and we must respect that.
- We need to stop with the mistreatment of prisoners, too many times have I seen the war be used as an excuse to abuse captives. Yes they are prisoners for a reason, but in all honesty, if you do not wish to deal with a prisoner, make sure he is killed on the battlefield in an honorable fashion, because dishonorable conduct will not be tolerated. To find more on that, refer to Updated Duty Policies.
- Personnel Rights need to be updated, because while I am not here to be every ones friend, I am here to lead, but that does not mean I am here to lead with an iron fist, meaning I intend on bringing forth some new policies to make things easier for my fellow Autobots. We are Autobots for a reason, we need to implement a new, autonomous personnel system, providing autonomy for those with in, we are not Decepticons, therefore I will not allow my personnel to be treated in the same manner that the cons do to theirs. Not saying that we do, but blind loyalty leads to tyranny, not saying the current prime is a tyrant, but needless to say, he was a Decepticon, and I do commend him for trying, but sadly to say, he has some issues that cropped up due to the misfortunes of his past, and while I hold great respect for the current leader, I do not agree with some of his policies. So a vote for me is a vote for a better life among your fellow Autobots.
- I am updating our duty policies, we all have duties, without them, the great Autobot Army would crumble, but too strict rules will also lead to wills being crushed, and while that works just fine with the Decepticons, we are not Decepticons. Therefore we must consider our own actions, you will not be expected to follow any orders I would not follow myself. You must follow those orders that I do give, but do so with honor in mind, we must start acting as a team, and while I understand that there are just those who do not work well in teams, I will be giving rewards for team work to encourage others to do the same. I will not team bots up with those that they just cannot get along with, for an example, I would NEVER team a neat freak up with a dirty slob, that would be cruel to both. All I really ask of my fellow Autobots is that they try to respect each other, and if they do not like someone, then they can just leave them be, no one wants to deal with a bully, and I will be strict but fair when having to deal with such bullies. Just try to get along and no body has to deal with any harsh but fair punishments from me, which I will not be lenient with, leniency gets a leader nowhere when it comes to disciplining insubordinate subordinates, but I also will not tolerate any unfair treatment either.
- Recreational Leave time, EVERY bot wants it, every bot needs it once in a while, and now, I will be granting it in rotation, to make sure that every bot here is alert, relaxed and productive, I have found that a happy mech/femme is a productive one, so everyone shall get their vacation, and there will always be someone who is able to cover for them while they are gone. They will be getting leave time for a month for every five months of service, we will work out how many to send on leave and how many to keep in rotation, I will work out a new roster system to see who is on leave, and who is on active duty.
- I am introducing a new code of honor, since I have noticed that the old Autobot code of honor seems to have been forgotten over the years. I will insist that the older members here undergo some retraining in the new code of honor, since while the last battle, which was my first as an Autobot, I did not notice any infractions, I did notice a few during the very incident that lead to me joining, the incident being that the treatment of a certain Decepticon flyer was deplorable, our own leader offered his hand in peace, and then attacked him, that is not to be tolerated under my leadership, mind you, that was not my main reason for joining, but it is reason enough to want change none the less now that I am here. I will restore the Autobots as the peace keepers they were meant to be. The old days of the senate are gone, and while there was most certainly corruption there, and I may have in my youthful years expressed some support to the uprising and to the works of Megatronous who was fighting for justice and equality, his uprising has shown that even the best intents can be sullied by anger and thus leading to corruption in itself. So in the end, we must fight to uphold peace, honor, and justice, not the continuation of war, strife and destruction.
- We badly need a new code of ethics, because as I had said before, we cannot have a leader that conducts himself like a con traitor on the battlefield, While I am glad he has joined up with the Autobots, I feel he still has con tendencies that need to be addressed, he was after all raised by the DJD, and I can only imagine what horrors he has been through as a sparklet, and no sparklet should ever have to be treated so cruely, so while I do have compassion for our leader, we need to help with any former cons with adjusting to their current home, both old and new. Speaking of compassion, I fear that quality is in short supply, while too much can be as bad for us as a strict diet of energon goodies in that it will make us too soft and weak, a little however, goes a long way, because having not enough makes the spark grow cold and uncaring, and I am not saying that every one here is a brutal, cold sparked killer, there are many here who do need to learn to have some compassion. All in all, we need to start being a little more caring, and a little less apathetic towards certain issues. I will be rewarding acts of compassion to encourage it, but I will be discouraging anyone from over coddling our warriors, we need passionate warriors, not over coddled wimps, which is what I intend on doing, forming this team into a team of peace keepers who know when to give compassion, and when to be tough on someone.
With that being said, a vote for Novaflame is a vote for progress, victory and peace.
OOC policies: I wish to work on improving the site in anyway I can, I will work diligently as a prime to make sure the site runs smoothly. I am available often, and while I might have a life outside of the internet, I still have enough time to do it, I generally am up fairly late, sleeping whenever I am tired, being on disability, and unemployed, I am working towards independence and starting my own business, to help boost local economy, but that only means I will be on the internet more, and thus I can do something here while working on whatever business I am on while I am at it, since i would be my own boss, so do not worry about work interfering with my activity here. I will do what I can to keep the site running smoothly, banning trouble makers, and learning the ropes of the chain of command, since I am relatively new to the site. I can also come up with great new ideas for the story and plot, I am known to be very creative and can come up with some new twists in the story line. I am also willing to help approve peoples applications, provided that Skyspray needs the help, and I do believe he could use it. Therefore I agree that getting applications approved here has been tedious lately, we need to make sure that there are at least a couple of people doing reviews, and those doing so must keep in mind certain things that would make for a decent character. We need to be asking them about abilities, which Skyspray has been doing, but just reminding other future reviewers as to what is to be expected of them as application reviewers, whether they are op, banned or otherwise had details left out, like cool down times and if there is a charge time or not. We need a staff that works together on that, I agree, to many reviewers spoil the application, and causes chaos, but not enough leads to overburdening the lone reviewer, so for now, I think we need two reviewers, and we will see from here if a couple more are needed. I will do everything I can to work on this site and make it run a bit better than it is now, uniting the site a bit more, encouraging team work among players, because I too noticed there are a few lone wolves here, and more are showing up by the droves, so we need to unite these stragglers and encourage team work, with rewards for working with a team, under my leadership, I believe we can do this. We also could use some improvements in the ranking systems, I agree that there are some ranks that need to have some sort of description, too many blank fields can be seen in the ranks, so I promise to help improve that, it may be tedious, but there are not too many ranks to fill in with, we also could use some new areas, like for my characters policy for recreation leave, I think what there is need for a secret retreat for characters on their down time, that way they can RP casually. I will leave it to Lord Deathwish or whoever is elected the Decepticon leader to deal with their own side and what they want for their faction. If they want to implement similar downtime policies for their factions characters, then that is up to them. I will do what I can for this site, from adjusting how many NPC's that we might require, all the way down to effective ways of improving player activity without interfering with busy irl scheduals. In closing, I think that the site could use a lot of improvements in efficiency, in that the staff duties seem to be somewhat scattered all over the place, and I seek to bring some order to this chaos so that we can actually get some stuff done. And possibly work towards that announced overhaul that has long since been overdue and not updated, we need to update the news once in a while and keep the other players informed on things.
