The thing about the speed stat right now is that not only is it very much of an opinion, but nobody dares have a low speed stat (like you can have a low tech stat or a low endurance) because they're not sure what it means.
It exists in an exponential curve, but with technical limits and speed brackets. At the same time, it is possible to modify yourself so that you can go faster than your alt mode would suggest. In its 1-10 form. The points are based on your top standard speed.
It is also possible for you to in-universe have had yourself augmented to be a higher speed. But remember if you've knocked a point off, you can always put it somewhere else.
10: If you can beat Mach 1, you classify as a stat 10. Military jets are almost always a stat 10. Mach 1 is technically a speed of 762 mph.
9: 241 - 761 mph. Most other aircraft fit into this bracket. Some Formula-1 cars can hit this speed. Blurr would also be a 9, but he's a special case in canon.
8: 181 - 240 mph. Man, you're fast. Probably a top-end road-legal sports-car, or maybe you've had a few augmentations.
7: 151 - 180 mph. Helicopters can hit this, with the bonus of being an aerial vehicle.
6: 121 - 150 mph. Slightly above average, but still in cars commonly found on roads.
5: 91 - 120 mph. Speed isn't really a priority for you. You scanned a regular family car, and you haven't augmented it in any particular way.
4: 71 - 90 mph. LGV can generally move at this speed.
3: 41 - 70 mph. Many tanks are in this bracket, unless they're augmented somehow.
2: < 41 mph. A real slug, at least by vehicular standards. Something like bicycle speed is your best speed.
1: Your alt mode is completely immobile. They do not actually transform into a vehicle.
I'd like opinions on this...
