The Origin
In the lab of the Decepticon warship, 'Nemesis', Cylas, who in possession of Breakdown's body, is strapped to a table while Knock Out injects Cylas with a derivative of the Synthetic Energon he recovered from the Autobots. The substance drives Cylas into a rage, which Knock Out notes as one of its erratic side effects. Starscream, who was present, sees in Cylas's fury as a personality of a super-soldier for Megatron. Cylas becomes more enraged with each new injection of the 'Synth En' and his eye glow green. Knock Out discovers that the more the compound is administered, the faster Cylas burns through his own natural energon reserves. Starscream despises the usage of an uncontrollable beast, but then had the idea of injecting Dark Energon in order to let Megatron gain full access to Cyla's mind and body. Knock Out disagrees, but Starscream assures him that a small controllable injection will merely place Cylas under Megatron's command, via their leader's symbiotic link with the substance.
Under orders and under protest, Knock Out injects Cylas with the Dark Energon, but Cylas temporarily powers down before rebooting in a rage with his one eye glowing purple and breaking free from his bonds. With a fierce roar, his upper teeth become fangs and his lower jaw splits into monstrous mandibles that had veins of Dark Energon on the inside and a long, bladed proboscis emerges. He attacks them, attempting to bite Starscream, who is eventually rescued from his grip by Knock Out. However, as they flee the lab, an infected Cylas roams free in the ship, biting a Vehicon trooper in the process. The trooper rises as a reanimated Terrorcon and reveals the same segmented jaw and bladed tongue. Starscream manages to blast the Vehicon's chest and destroy the monster's revitalized spark, severing its link to the Dark Energon. Meanwhile, Cylas manages to infect a few more Vehicon troopers in the same manner.
Megatron, who demands to know why the Dark Energon in his spark has been acting funny, Starscream provides a slanted explanation, but the lord doesn't believe it until he's forced to destroy an attacking Terrorcon. After a more extensive debrief of the situation, Megatron puts the ship on high alert and orders Starscream and Knock Out to destroy Cylas. Around the ship, Vehicons and Insecticons battle the infected Terrorcons. Meanwhile, Cylas wanders into the ship's vault and revives Airachnid, while she was trapped in a stasis pod. Cylas attempts to drain her energon, but Airachnid is able to immobilize him long enough to deliver a killing blow. Her sudden departure is noticed by Soundwave and he opens a space bridge, teleporting her away. As the bridge closes behind her, Airachnid realizes that she has been sent to a moon orbiting Cybertron and screams in rage. Starscream and Knock Out discover Cylas' corpse, but are completely unaware that Airachnid was infected. While on the moon, Airachnid instructs the Insecticons to "Serve their Queen", and suddenly drains the energon from one of her minions as the rest of the Insecticons line up obediently to await their turn.
Life After The First War
Many years after the war, Cybertron's genesis brings forth a new age of prosperity to a new generation of Transformers. Earth no longer remembers the Decepticon-Autobot conflict as Cybertronians stopped visiting the planet. The Autobot, Bumblebee, became a seasoned Cybertronian police officer and despite his fame, he chooses to be a humble peacekeeper. However, crime itself was still in progress. One night, an Autobot named Sideswipe, was armed with a pistol as he met up with a female named Windblade, who was also armed. Suddenly, they opened fire at a diner and coldly killed everyone inside. Right after this, two other cybertronians, Knockout and Raiza, attacked the waitress and two patrons behind the diner.
The strange circumstances of the attack were unknown, but Sideswipe, Windblade, Raiza, and Knockout were acting way off their regular personalities and habits. It was later discovered that all four attackers were reported missing a few months ago, and that other several cybertronians vanished under similar circumstances. Cybertron authorities managed to confiscate them before discovering that each of them had a defiant pupil in their one optic, a rare medical condition that mostly takes effect after 'processor-washing' (brainwashing). Each of them were placed in the Asylum for the Mentally Insane in separate cells in the same room. No official profile of them were made, since authorities were more focused on their abductor, Vertebreak. However, judging from the profile given on him, all four of them looked up to him as a parental figure upon succumbing to the brainwashing, since they all lived high-risk lifestyles without a person of influence in their daily lives. This would explain their loyalty and obedience, to the point where they would willingly go on his orders as a criminal team. The four of them slowly began to recover their sanity, but were still suffering from their mental symptoms such as their low self-esteem, high depression, violent mood swings, and maniacal giggles or laughter.

Present Day
Cybertron's military has reported that the attempt to contain and quarantine the planet is a fail, as the undead Terrorcons continue terrorizing the planet, destroying everything in their path. The plant's cities are thrown into disarray and as the attacks continue, survivors were taken to a separate moon that orbited Cybertron, where a team of analysts and military personnel are analyzing the scope of the outbreak. They argue that the plague is a virus, whose origin must be found in order for a vaccine to be developed. Because of his expertise, Autobot Bumblebee, is forced to create a squad of Cybertron's most wanted to find the source.

Terrorcons
Overview
Terrorcons are deceased energon-draining Transformers whose bloodstream is run by Synthetic and Dark Energon, rather than the normal Blue version. Due to the Synthetic Energon within them, they can lose their natural blue energon very quickly, causing them to develop a thirst for normal energon and attack normal Transformers in order to consume their own natural energon by draining them with a proboscis in their mouths, fatally killing them. However, twelve seconds after the drainage process, the deceased victim can become infected by the Synthetic Energon's properties, and, by the Dark Energon, they become reanimated as a Terrorcon themselves.
Behavior of Terrorcons
~ Terrorcons are extremely aggressive, and they will attack furiously and relentlessly once spotting anything non-infected.
~ Sometimes, they can become calm if there is nothing to feed on nearby, typically making howling, screeching, or curdling sounds vocally, and demonstrate uncoordinated movements.
~ They have total disregard for the lives of the non-infected, only to attack and consume them for their own survival.
Types of Terrorcons
~ There are three types of Terrorcons that survivors need to be aware of: Runners, Stalkers, and Crawlers.
> Runners
~ For Runners, Terrorcons can most definitely run, which is a horrifying aspect to those that are being pursued.
~ They will gain ground on survivors and bring them down, either killing them or disabling them.
~ A survivor should never try to outrun the Runners, since they do not tire like normals do.
~ The only way to stop them from running is to disable their legs, which can create a Crawler.
> Crawlers
~ For Crawlers, they are completely disabled in their lower bodies and cannot walk or run.
~ Due to their low profile, they are harder to spot, as well as their low speed make them highly dangerous if not payed attention to.
~ They can latch onto the survivors leg and bite down, infecting as well as disabling their leg.
> Stalkers
~ Stalkers are more feral, but are stronger on the outside, making them harder to kill.
~ Their movement can be shaky and jerky, making them harder to hit with a ballistic weapon.
~ Due to their lowered profile, they may be harder to spot in dark environments.
~ Due to their reduced intelligence, they attack anything moving on sight, be it another Terrorcon or a Normal.
Transferring the Infection
~ The infection itself is 100% communicable and 100% fatal.
~ The infection can occur only through direct contact with bodily fluids such as a bite or a scratch.
~ The victim will aggressively transform into the undead within 12 seconds.
Treating the Infection
~ Once infected, little can be done to save the victim.
~ Removing the infected limbs immediately works sometimes, but given the speed of their energon reserves, it varies.
~ Anyone killed after bitten or bitten, should be immediately destroyed, preferably by burning.

The Mentally Unstable
The 'Mentally Unstable' are a group of incarcerated, broken-minded cybertronains who were abduction victims committing a series of terrorist attacks under the influence of their abductor, Vertebreak. Out of the seven abducted victimized cybertronians, only four were successfully brainwashed: Windblade, Sideswipe, Knockout, and Raiza. No official profile of them was made, since authorities were more focused on their abductor. However, judging from the profile they gave, all of them looked up to him as a parental figure upon succumbing to the brainwashing, since they all lived high-risk lifestyles without a person of influence in their daily lives. This would explain their loyalty and obedience towards him, to the point where they would willingly go on suicide missions on his orders. However, they were contaminated in the Asylum for the Criminally Insane.
