Think about it, would it happen in a TF TV show? If the answer is yes, then don't touch it. And I tell you it would my friends, especially with the means our characters have, the 'cons would try rebuilding their empire and ship fleet is part of it, when rp'd correctly. And remember staff makes mistakes too, and again learning from them. I apologize in advance if I sound like a prick. Okay Deathwish, this is a TF TV show. There are far too many things that we don't have in common with that. Here are several things that are different: -TFG has all OCs balanced and that will soon apply to ships (which I personally want to be balanced) -TFG cannot have disbalanced factions, both sides have an equal chance -In TFG a power like a ship would need to be reasonably countered, that is not true in TF TV Enough about that, onto my opinion on ship balancing itself. Obviosly ships would be armed, and I like that. But if they are armed, how does a bot counter one? I say with accuracy. A ship is designed to fight ships or other large objects, as well as stay away from the ground by auite a bit, so getting a shot wouldn't be as easy as one would think. Also, I think that a ship's armaments should be fairly limited, no excessive missile count, esspecially since explosives defeat the purpose if the low accuracy concept. I want ships quite a bit, and the sooner the better, but complaining isn't going to help, what will is suggestions. -Gateway How much balancing can you do to a ship it's a ship, something that carries you from one area to another and has some weapons. And 1. If you notice in TV shows characters usually have their equals, and while Arcee has no hope against Megatron, that is a size thing and is usually seen here too. 2. We had disbalanced factions now where the 'Cons do lead. We have also discussed possible eventualities where one could be defeated and go into hiding. 3. Not necessarily, you can bust up a ship with little to no help by sneaking on and defeating who's inside. Again I make my point show some creativity. And honestly it's not like everybody has a ship. Instead of regulating ships, have rules like you do with prisons on how long it takes to make a ship and how many posts etc. Give us RP rules, not regulating what we can make.

RP rules will be given too. But this is how it is going to be. At least as a trial. So right now, there is actually not much to win by arguing. We could say: Nope, no ships ever. But we don't. We are giving you a chance. If it works well then we might ease the regulations, who knows? But for now, this is how it is going to be.

And for other points made I strongly agree with rules put in place saying how long it would take and maybe how many posts a week to make a ship and what size ship. That's fine, that's okay I get that. I mean I am the chief supporter for crossovers, and you never heard a peep from me on rules for crossovers, because we are transformers, but ships are a big part of transformers and should not have big restrictions on them.
As well as, I don't agree with putting limitations on what we can do with them and what we can make.
And it comes to a point (again) that you learn from mistakes. Heavy made an excellent point, I went overboard a lot, but I learned and got better. Was it annoying for a time...yes...but because of those mistakes I am now a good part of this community.

You know why you won't completely remove ships, because even you guys know that would be utterly stupid.

Thank you, everyone, for giving the staff your input. (Though I was going to save discussion of ship usage on the forums for the ship application process's approval, I suppose it's not that bothersome that Bruiser opened the topic up earlier than intended.) You'll all be allowed to further give your input once the ship application process has been completed and posted; I'll make sure that there's a thread made specifically for sharing your opinions on the matter, as it's clearly a topic of interest for many users on the site.
