Situated underground the facility and operating base of current Decepticon assassin Shadow-Strike is known only by a select few. The base itself having been created long before the civil war began it's time as one of many 'blacklock' facilities, which functioned as prisons for the most dangerous cybertronians in the galaxy. Over time however these facilities where replaced by more up to date prisons such as Rura Penthe, Garrus-9 and Styx. As such the Blacklock facilities faded into history as mere legends of infamous prisons designed to hold the worst scum in pre-war cybertrons existence, due to the war contact between Cybertron and this particular Blacklock facility in the sol system was completely lost. This allowed the femme known as Aura to repurpose the facility for her own desires including housing her agents, most specifically her champions named Shadow-Strike.
Designed to hold extremely dangerous cybertronians in a generally peaceful time this facility was small in contrast to many other similar facilities being the size of a large town. Located in the centre of the prison stood the still operating wardens office which had once been simply a sign of power, was now a fully operating living space for the mech who occupied the base. The huge see-through walls allowing a view of the prison cells down below revealing over 50 cells with only a single large exit door that led to other areas of the prison through a number of long and multi-levelled corridors.
This included a med bay that had been updated recently with a wide arrange of fully automated devices, including a CR chamber designed to reduce the need for operators to rely on faction based help. Despite a number of automated devices however their is still the standard tools littering the room along with berths for natural rest. Linked to this room is the prison morgue which even now is still stained with the energon of prisoners and guards alike from millenniums ago. More interesting however is the back wall of the room which is engraved with the names of over five hundred names each name designed with a unique plating that was created from the huge melting pot located in the centre of the room.
Further away from the cells is a virtual reality room originally designed to help regulate and recondition prisoners, by providing a calming environment through the use of highly advanced reality pods. These pods still function and have been repaired and improved since Aura's acquisition of the base. Twelve of the highly advanced pods are positioned in a circle around the massive mainframe in the base which takes up space from the floor to the roof. Flickering in the room two of the pods pulse with light seeps through the walls of one room leading straight into another area of the prison which easily dwarfs the VR room.
This area used to function as a relaxation and fitness yard filled with long lanes for running or driving as long as huge buildings which almost pierce the roof of the multi-level room in the purpose of creating interesting challenges for fliers. Now however due to the huge size of the area and Aura's inability to truly repair the room it now looks much like a cybertronian warzone only devoid of life. As a result this image of an apparent warzone is only emphasised by the huge shell holes in the floor created by one of many unsuccessful prisons riots which was crushed by the arms fire of the prisons armoury.
Tactically located as far away from the cells as possible the armory is still a hive of activity littered with a collection of Shadow-Strike's own weaponary and gadgets along with relics of the dated security system. The room itself has a number of workbenches designed to help produce technology in the centre of the room's bottom floor. Will three walls and numerous containers withhold the created technology through a number of levels, these levels are missing a centre and instead protected by railings to prevent falls. Despite this impressive arsenal the most bizarre feature of the room is the back wall which was re-purposed directly upon Aura's arrival. Covering the full length and breadth of the room's back is numerous sparkless frames both mech and femme alike but linked together by a noticeable similarity, a name that belongs to each and everyone of them... Shadow-Strike.
In contrast to these lifeless husks a single mech walked through the corridors of the base having only arrived moments ago from the groundbridge room. His pacing slow and deliberate as the black and red nightmare made his way throughout the facility with a slight smirk across his face. Shadow-Strike had been overly silent on the Decepticon front as of late something that would have been considered unnatural in other universes but was perfectly normal for this one. Although a strange comment Shadow-Strike was considering the differences between himself and alter versions which he was well aware of due to a multi-verse processor that linked him not only to other Shadow-Strike's from the past but also those located in completely different realities ensuring the mech was prepared and acquainted with most of his enemies and allies alike. Including the current Decepticon commander who from his observations was not truly from this dimension although he had very little proof of such a fact.
Continuing down his path Shadow-Strike's mind bounced between thoughts as he considered the unusual scenario he was located in specifically with the revelation of Oracle's plan for this world. Even now with all the ideas on display the mech struggled in his battle between morals as logic and chance fought to determine his solid view on the plan. Deciding to further cement his dedication to the cause Shadow-Strike proceeded to the comms room as he walked along a long winding corridor he received a message that appeared instantly upon his visor. HOSTILES DETECTED ETA 5:00.
Raising his arm Shadow-Strike was sent straight into a rush of activity as the mech's right gauntlet began to transform revealing a small datapad that highlighted numerous impact zones throughout the facility. It wasn't just a single enemy coming for him their was numerous ones as he sprinted off hoping to catch the first arrivals who where headed for a direct impact with the security cells. Dashing through the facility the assassin had little time for sight seeing as his body moved throughout the area almost like a blur, as simple touches of the datapad opened automatic doors ensuring he could run through upon arrival.
Crossing from corridor to corridor the mech heard a audio-splitting screech of metal on metal as the boarding pods began smashing through the facility defences shaking the entire prison. With all this occuring a lesser mech would have been floored, however Shadow-Strike wasn't even halted as he adjusted his body to the changes mid-run and continued on sprinting. He arrived on the top floor of the prison cells yard providing an overwatch of where the Autobots would dispense if their wasn't any fliers in the mix. The room was effectively a killzone as Shadow-Strike's battlemask flipped into place followed by both pathblasters and an notable hum signature of the mech's Nucelon Charge Rifle.
ETA 0:10
Prepared for battle Shadow-Strike's left shoulder pad pulled back revealing a shoulder mounted grenade launcher which instantaneously lined up with the projected drop point of the soldiers. By now however keeping his sight on target was difficult as the facility gave another powerful vibration almost sending the mech over the balcony.
ETA 0:01
Then it began as an ear screeching sound penetrated the roof revealing the penetrating blades of the pod that began to open up leeching itself to the roof in the progress before a hole opened up allowing a small army to fall through. Watching the masses fall through the air Shadow-Strike fired a single impact grenade that connected with the still falling squad, erupting as it connected with a single autodrones chest splintering it in a mass of scrap and energon. Numerous other drones where damaged in the explosion, shrapnel and landing already thinning the insignificant cannon fodder as smoke from the explosion shrouded the landing point.
One such Autobot was however lucky enough to have not fell like the others as the aerialbot Sabre headed straight for the Decepticon his backs jets allowing him impressive thrust despite only being in robot mod as he catapulted towards Shadow-Strike. The assassins perceptive nature only allowing him to dodge at the last moment as he ducked allowing the aerialbot to soar over him and connect with the wall in a metal crushing punch that would have knocked the Decepticon's head straight off. Instead the Autobot was stuck with his servo embedded in the wall as Shadow-Strike began to rise, aiming his right pathblaster towards his head as a bolter round connected with his outstretched right shoulder. The resulting explosion only barely piercing his shoulder however caused the shot to go narrowly wide as Shadow-Strike turned his helm towards the killzone a single Autobot stood standing in blue.
Holding a single large bolter Nitro Gear's weapon was intergrated to his right arm but required the use of his left to stabilise it as the mech brought down the barrel for a follow shot it gave Shadow-Strike just enough time to dive out of the way again. Given the time he hurled towards Sabre using the mech as a springboard he kicked Sabre's face straight into the wall cracking his faceplate only slightly as Shadow-Strike flew over the balcony and fired his fibercorp launcher from his gauntlet as the device connected with the ground infront of Nitro Gear. Suddenly hurtling the Decepticon at ridiculous speeds the mech began to twist in the air before releasing the wire just before impact as Shadow-Strike drove his foot towards the mech's chest sending Nitro Gear back a number of steps after he was forced to protect himself with both arms.
Regaining his footing Nitro Gear aimed his bolter straight at Shadow-Strike who was already moving as the bolter created the telltale sign of a jam it gave Shadow-Strike just enough time to fire off both pathblasters into Nitro Gear's faceplate. An attack that in most cases would have been lethal instead shattering the Autobot's faceplate as he was sent back once more with numerous sparks showering Nitro Gear's face and chest as he tried to defend himself. It was something the mech was adept at as he activated lockdown mode both arms spread out forming a massive shield that connected to cover Nitro Gear as the following pathblaster shots didn't even create a dent in the Autobot's near-impenetrable defence.
Aware his pathblasters couldn't penetrate the shield Shadow-Strike's servo's flipped replacing the pathblasters for his normal servos as two dual energon blades sprouted from his gauntlets. The noise of their activation creating a sound similar to the burning of jet fuel which almost prevented Shadow-Strike from realising that Sabre was inbound as the Autobot fired two scatterblasters from behind. Only the delicacy of Shadow-Strike's audio receptors gave him a sliver of a chance as the mech spun around raising his blades in an cross to protect his chest plate and face as the shells impacted in numerous locations but prevented what would have otherwise killed him. Now however he was stuck between two forces as Shadow-Strike looked for a way out both legs began supplying additional air pressure to his pede's.
Sabre: So much for the homefield advantage.
Staring at the Autobot infront of him Shadow-Strike's piercing blood red optics met blue optics calm as the sky hidden behind an elegant clear blue visor. Holding a single shell in each scatterblaster the barrels of both weapons where aimed straight for the mech's defended chest as behind him Nitro Gear waited for his chance to squash the Decepticon like a bug. An eerie silence filled the air as the Autobots held back for fear of giving him an opening will Shadow-Strike patiently stood waiting for his moment to strike as his pede's almost burst from the withheld air pressure. With a single movement Shadow-Strike struck leaping forward as the air pressure was released sending him to collide with Sabre in miliseconds as the Decepticon struck cutting off the barrel off both ranged weapons before he lashed out with a violent side kick to the chin that sent Sabre flying to the ground.
In the miliseconds that Shadow took to struck Nitro Gear was already reacting having replaced the bolter and shields for a large mace which he struck with upon the Decepticons landing. His mace slamming into the Decepticons left shoulder crumpling the joint as Shadow-Strike tumbled away from the attack rather than tensing up ensuring the strike did only minor damage rather than crippling him. Pushing out of the roll Shadow spotted Sabre rising to sheath a single energon blade or more correctly an energon sabre leaving him to face the two in melee combat as Sabre leaped in forcing Shadow-Strike to parry the blade as he spiralled away from the two Autobots giving him more space to react and ensuring he wasn't facing a battle on two fronts.
Sabre: I'll go high...
Nitro Gear: ...I'll go low.
Closing the distance between the two Sabre struck at Shadow-Strike's knees as the skilled swordsman used a flurry of strikes to repel the blows will Nitro Gear moved in his much larger mass ensuring he moved slower as Shadow-Strike was pushed back. Trying to slash towards Sabre's neck the Autobot was capable of bringing his blade to meet as he held him only for Nitro Gear to swing his mace as he tried to crack Shadow-Strike's helm open from the opposite direction. Raising his other blade Shadow-Strike would have preffered to defend the forceful blow with both blades but instead was forced to redirect as the mace connected for only a milisecond causing Shadow's shoulder to creak under the pressure before he stepped back allowing the mace to continue to connect with Sabre's blade and sending the aerialbot back a few steps. The strike meeting unexpected resistance even causing Nitro Gear to recoil from Sabre's defence as Shadow-Strike slithered in using his sharpened elbow joint to crack against the brute's faceplate as the already damaged defense crumpled covering Nitro Gear's left optic as the metal scraped against it.
With that reducing his involvement in the strike Shadow-Strike struck out again as both blades connected with the back of Nitro Gear's leg spurting energon everywhere as his leg buckled from the damage of numerous severed cables. Pressing the advantage Shadow-Strike moved in for the killing blow to the processor, only to be stopped by Sabre who leaped in slapping the assassins blade away with his own. Only for Shadow-Strike to retaliate with a number of graceful strikes that sent the less experienced mech back multiple steps away from Nitro Gear.
Desperately struggling to keep up Sabre raised his blade to block a blade headed straight for his neck but in the process opened him up for Shadow-Strike's right blade which pierced the Autobot's hip causing energon to spurt from the wound and drip onto the floor. All the while an unusual hum continued to originate from Shadow-Strike's backplate. Grunting from the injury Sabre tried to defend another strike battering both blades away only to received a sharp kick to his left knee crumpling the joint. Stumbling back Sabre did his best to keep Nitro Gear out of the fight will still within distance to react as the larger mech was proceeding to rip his battlemask off as the forceful action caused the mask to slice into his optic in the process damaging it but still allowing it to operate as he began to head towards the continuing fight.
One that was desperately in need of intervention as Shadow-Strike's honed skills slapped away Sabre's blades almost playfully as the close quarters disadvantaged the aerialbot without his shotguns. Activating his back thrusters Sabre launched forward slamming his blade into Shadow-Strike's causing the Decepticon to be sent backwards forcefully opening up a chance as Sabre struck towards the mech's neck. Instead the fatal strike flew past Shadow-Strike as he leaned back only for the blade to slice across his chest causing a faint trickle of energon will the faint connection caused Sabre's powerful strike to swing wide open Sabre up as Shadow-Strike's blades moved in attempting to impale the Autobot's abdomen only for a thrown mace to slam them both away as Nitro Gear charged forward unarmed from his throw as he crashed his shoulder into the surprised Decepticon.
Sending Shadow-Strike flying back onto the ground with a firm bang the Decepticon swung his legs upwards causing him to flip upwards without the use of his hands as he returned to the battle leaping forward to try and catch the unarmed Nitro Gear only for a magnetised mace to connect with his backplate before it returned to Nitro Gear's grasp. Causing Shadow-Strike to stumble forward as both blades where returned to his gauntlets he rolled under a follow up strike from Nitro Gear's mace before handspringing over a surprised Sabre before landing with his blades reactivated.
Sabre: Of all the mechs in the world we get spring in the box and a mute.
Nitro Gear: Have you ever considered just maybe Sabre that he doesn't like talking to you.
Sabre: It was on my mind for a few milisecond.
Staring at the two Shadow-Strike's datapad sent another warning as he looked down catching the sign 'ETA 0:01' as the new arriving pod struck the entire room began to shake causing Nitro Gear to stumble due to his injured leg will Sabre activated his jets to hover all the while Shadow-Strike stood perfectly still. The new enemies could be anywhere and he intended to finish this up. With that Shadow-Strike leaped towards Sabre using his left blade to slam the mech's blade away before he used his right to impale the Autobot for only a second before he spun around creating a body shield. Nitro Gear's reactionary swing connected straight with Sabre's helm sending the injured mech hurtling away. In reaction Shadow-Strike struck slamming both blades into the the blue wreckers chest before pushing away as he pulled back to inspect the damage.
He had minor damage all in all with only slight injuries to both shoulders and a chest slice along with numerous bullet holes and shrapnel wounds that could be considered insignificant as he left the two injured Autobot's in search of the new targets. Sprawled out on the floor Sabre struggled to rise as he held his helm which had caved in and only barely missed his processor as his hip injury continued to leak energon he began to rise a firm servo against his injured knee popping the dent to at least reduce the movement damage. Meanwhile barely stable on his knees Nitro Gear held a firm grip of his mace as he used it for support with his injured leg, will his chest spurted energon like a hose in a water pipe as numerous systems began sealing up energon lines in the area he was greatful the blades hadn't went any further as he looked down towards the huge hole in his chest that now allowed his spark chamber to be seen.
Standing up Sabre forced a weak smile as he trudged towards Nitro Gear getting a sight of his injuries as Sabre moaned knowing the two where injured but not out completely.
Sabre: He's gone to intercept the others. They'll hold him will we rest who knows we might not even have to get involved.
Grunting at the idea Nitro Gear's face drooped as his injured optic flickered before gradually dimming into nothingness.
Nitro Gear: I'm too rusty for this job. Once we get back it's time for the training simulations.
Smiling at Nitro Gear's work effort Sabre laughed despite the pain it caused from his hip as he sat aside the other Autobot he activated his comm channel unaware it was currently in the process of being piggybacked by a certain Decepticon.
Sabre: He's headed your way so heads up we're down but not out.
