Triage
State of Emergency
TEMPLATEState of Emergency
CANON CHARACTER (Does he count as canon?)
BASICS
BASICS
Designation : Triage
Nicknames: None at the moment
Gender : Mech
Age : Late twenties in human terms
Home Planet : Cybertron
Faction : Autobot
Occupation : Combat Medic
Abilities :
Medical Knowledge
Essential for Triage to perform medical treatment on his comrades. Maybe not best of the best, but usually enough to save the spark of his fellow Autobots.
Minor Bonus Self Healing
When in alternate mode, a set of wiring would be completed as the armour comes together instead of scattering along the body. This wiring(installed by Triage himself) advocate the resonance of Triage's self-reparing system and boost the function slightly in addition to the original self-healing system he already has. While this surely couldn't keep up with damage dealt in battle, this system may help him survive(as it did for the last few times).
APPEARANCE
Optic ( Eye ) Color : Electric Blue (#7FFFFF)
Primary Color : White (#FFFFFF)
Secondary Color : Red (#FF0000)
Tertiary Color : Yellow (#FFFF00)
Height : About 24ft (~7.3m)
Features :
Alternative Mode:
ARMOR AND WEAPONRY
Armor
Armor Description:
Triage's armour is not bad for a mech with medium build. His armour has certain thickness, so it wouldn't be easy for some bullets to penetrate it. Good weight-to-strength ratio was achieved as alloys containing Cybertronium, titanium and aluminium was used. Thicker armour can be found near vital areas such as the cranial chamber and the spark chamber. The armour aim to strike a balance between mobility and endurance.
- Quite thick
- Strike balance between mobility and endurance.
- Self-healing bonus wiring when in alt-mode
Weaponry
Primary Weapon : Phalanx Pulse Blaster
Description:
A mid-long range charge-up weapon which deals plasma damage. The higher the charge the larger the output, but the higher the charge Triage wants, the more time it needs to build it up. He can choose to fire quick but weak successive shots, or choose to fir powerful shots in expense of frequency. He couldn't have both at the same time.
Secondary Weapon : Defibrillation Pistols
Description:
Mid-Short range equipment which original primary function is to reboot an physically stable ally in the middle of the battlefield. That's why it was made to be mid-short range in case the user can't instantly reach the target. The secondary function, which Triage uses more often than the primary one, is that it deals electrical damage to enemies. The shots wouldn't contain enough power to be lethal, even if shot many times. However, the electric shock can disrupt the target's motor neural cables and slows down motion. If shot many many times, target might eventually unable to move as the disruptions would be too severe. As a byproduct, it causes quite a lot of pain because of the involuntary disruption part. This is a undesirable trait which Triage
Tertiary Equipment : Cerrian Beam Gun
Description:
A medium-range sustained medical tool. It overheats after continuous activation. Emits a green beam to the target when activated. It linked the target's system to Triage's onboard medical analysis computer. It allows him to recalibrate and adjusts the target's systems with their agreement, and therefore can help to stabilise the conditions of the target (such as making the energon pump rate return to normal and therefore slow energon leakage, etc.)
Sulfide Serum is a feature of the emitter. When using Sulfide Serum, the emitter injects Lead Sulfide crystals into tagart’s body, and act as temporary energon substitute. However, the dosage would only be enough for one patient and it must be refilled after each deployment.
Triage did
However in any cases, full healing still requires surgeries, medicine and other things, not just a simple beam.
Alternate Mode Weapon : Grenade Launcher
Description:
Located on the roof and concealed when not in use. Deployed when he needs to fire at where he's going.
Gadgets :
Nitrous System
Temporary boost on speed with limited time depending on how much nitrous is stored.
OverShield Generator
When activated, red and yellow semi-transparent shields suspending around Triage are generated for a limited time. As the attack impact with the shield, forcefield would acting on that and deflects the incoming attack, if it's not strong. For a projectile with too much inertia and velocity, it might not work very well. It drains energon pretty fast even when no attacks land on it, and extra energy is required for it to repel incoming attack. So the limited time would become even more limited when in battle, and the shield may fail to maintain as soon as it uses up its partition of energon reserve.
Melee : None at the moment
TECH SPECS
Note: This is based off a 1 to 10 scale. One is the lowest, then is the highest.
LIMITED TO 60 POINTS TOTAL.
Strength : 7Triage is not weak considering that he is a 24ft(~7.3m) mech. Though not the strongest bot, he's stronger than average thanks to his build.
Intelligence : 9
Triage may be bold, but that doesn't mean that he's dumb. He absorbs new knowledge well and can make good decisions when treating the wounded. He's also quite good at prioritising the importance of things. He can be very rational and derive a logical solution for a problem, though his stubbornness may stop him from following that solution.
Dexterity : 6
As his armour aim to strike a balance between dexterity and endurance, his mobility isn't weak. While it wouldn't best the best due to his build, he still has decent dexterity for a 24ft mech.
Speed : 6
His vehicle mode wasn't really very aerodynamic but he is equipped with a powerful engine with sufficient power and torque, allowing him to move with a fair speed. His emergency siren helps him to transverse through cities and heavily populated area as well.
Endurance : 7
He has good endurance from his medium build and armour. Of course he doesn't have the best endurance as his build and armour isn't the heaviest and the thickest.
Firepower : 7
With powerful weapons that Triage doesn't seemed to be the medic type at first glance.
Accuracy : 8
Good accuracy with guns but exceptional accuracy when handling medical equipments.
Melee : 3
Melee skills were trained but he doesn't carry any melee weapons with him, so his melee isn't really powerful.
Tech Skill : 7
His tech skill is okay, especially when it comes to medical equipments. But other tech issues he'd just find other tech guys. They know better than him after all.
OTHER
Personality :
Triage doesn’t seem the medic type at first glance. When the battle’s raging, this short fused Autobot is just as likely to take a few shots at Decepticons with his built-in defibrillator than he is heal up his allies.
He would be at the center of any Autobot attack. With a psyche that can switch as quickly as the tide of battle, he’s as likely to shock enemies with his defibrillators as he is to patch up his waning pals. When the sirens are wailing and the red lights are flashing, you can’t be certain whether Triage will deliver surgical aid, or a surgical strike.
Using the MBTI personality test, I think that Triage is ESTP. He is passionate and energetic, complimented by a rational, if sometimes distracted, mind. Inspiring, convincing and colorful, they are natural group leaders, pulling everyone along the path less traveled, bringing life and excitement everywhere they go. Putting these qualities to a constructive and rewarding end is s true challenge.
He is likely to make a lifestyle of risky behavior. They live in the moment and dive into the action - they are the eye of the storm. People with the ESTP personality type enjoy drama, passion, and pleasure, not for emotional thrills, but because it's so stimulating to their logical minds. They are forced to make critical decisions based on factual, immediate reality in a process of rapid-fire rational stimulus response.
He can be bold, rational & practical, original, perceptive and direct, but can also be insensitive, impatient, risk-prone, unstructured, defiant, and may miss the bigger picture

Courage : 8
Triage is quite brave and would be willing to take risks if it's worth it. If the situation is too dangerous, his determination, aka stubbornness, would be fighting with his rationality. The more dangerous, the more likely rationality wins.
Charisma : 6
He has a quick mind and may attract those who are also witty. His passion and energy may also affect the others. Though his action could be somewhat eccentric, insensitive and too direct sometimes.
History :
Triage was among the Autobots who were on board the Arclight. The ship was heading to Earth to join the Autobot forces. However, the technological problems and Decepticons attack was encountered upon atmospheric entry. He was thrown out of the ship and crash-landed somewhere on Earth. He survived the crash, but was heavily damaged due to the impact. Out of Cybertronian instinct for disguise, he just scanned a nearby vehicle which roughly resembles his size before entering an emergency stasis lock as a self-protecting mechanism. His self-repairing system was working, though the damage was too heavy for it to heal himself completely. It tried, and his chassis were repaired bit by bit. Sometimes, the self-reparing system stalled... But every time it somehow began to work again.
After some years, his self-repairing mechanism finally succeeded to repair enough for his main operating system to work on a minimum requirements, and at the same time it finally gave up on him and cease to work again. He woke up extremely weak and vulnerable, and began to check on his surroundings. He discovered that he was in a scrapyard and was surrounded by piles of broken vehicles and checking the security recorder, he found that he was transported to there as the local dominating species found out that "their ambulance" was broken and no longer working. Obviously they were mistaken, but he was indeed too broken that his engine didn't even work.
His comm was broken, actually almost everything was broken except his life-sustaining system. Knowing that the situation would only continue to worsen if he didn't do anything, he ignited his engine and began to drive out. He isn't a mech that just sit and wait to offline. And if he can, he hope he can find his friends, and other Autobots.
Family :
Overclock - Friend - Status unknown
Monsoon - Friend - Status unknown
Strengths :
-Decent firepower
-Good Medical knowledge
-Can think logically
-Energetic
Weaknesses :
-Too stubborn
-Prone to taking unnecessary risks
-Too direct and insensitive which is not desirable in social communications
-Not very good in melee combat
SAMPLE RP
Note that a piece of your history, your journey to Earth for example, could be used.
"Arclight is now in stable orbit of planet codenamed 'Earth'. Beginning to execute atmospheric entry procedure. Crew and passengers please prepare for descent." The voice of the Arclight computer came through the broadcasting system.
"Well, here we are. Any idea why we are needed on this planet? And why is this planet given a name?" Monsoon stretched himself as he asked. Arclight of course was quite spacey, but it felt good to move his limps after a long journey. He was quite curious, though. Only important planets were named as there are so many planets out in the universe. You can't just simply name everyone of them.
"It's classified." Overclock's calm reply came immediately afterwards.
Triage don't even look as he heard him. It is the same answer with the previous one, and the previous previous one, and the previous... He just asked in annoyance, "Why don't you just tell us? So we can stop guessing. You apparently know something and it wouldn't hurt to tell. Technically we have already arrived on Earth, just that we still haven't landed on it."
"No."
Triage didn't waste his energy to respond to that, as he was expecting this kind of answer. But then, Overclock continued.
"Though I think we will be told when we arrived. Besides, I don't think I'm the suitable one to tell."
Triage blinked when he heard that. He honestly didn't expect that Overclock would say something more than "No comment" whatsoever. While that still didn't count as an informative answer, it was certainly more than those before. As he planned to ask more and make the most out of this rare opportunity where Overclock is willing to share more than he usually would, the ship rocked and almost make Triage lose his balance.
"Huh?" Monsoon looked around, confused about what happened. "It doesn't feel normal for atmospheric entry."
"No it doesn't," Triage also looked around, trying to find out what caused the shock.
Overclock stayed silent, his optics scanning for whatever they were trying to find. Suddenly, his right servo transformed, armour plates and the structure shifting and extending into a laser rifle. "Prepare yourselves."
"What happened?" Triage asked, transforming his right servo into the pulse blaster. Monsoon followed and pulled out his minigun from his back, eyeing Overclock as he waited for an answer.
Suddenly, the sirens inside the body of the ship blared, the red light flashed throughout the corridors and rooms. The voice of computer was broadcasted. "Incoming attack. REDCON-2. Incoming attack. REDCON-2."
"What!? I thought we were landing." Triage exclaimed.
"It's the Decepticons." Overclock replied.
"And they shot us? When we are landing?"
"Well, the less Autobot forces, the better for them." Monsoon commented, not really very happy.
Hearing explosions, Overclock made a gesture telling them to follow him before dashing to that direction. Triage and Monsoon followed, only finding that the hull of the ship was partially ripped open, at least five doors wide and two doors high. The opening wasn't large enough to harm the structural integrity of the ship yet. But it will soon if they doesn't stop the attack. The vessel was now trying to avoid shots from another ship which they couldn't locate nor identify, and at the same time trying to boot up its FCS. However, a squad of Vehicons arrived as a landing pod came through that opening. Nearby protectobots began to attack, so as Overclock, Monsoon, and Triage. Seeing a fellow protectobot being shot in the legs, he transformed the blaster into the heal beam gun and aim at that bot to try to reduce the energon leakage. But at the same time, he shifted his left servo into the defibrillation pistol to fend off a nearby Decepticon.
All of a sudden, some kind of explosive ammo detonate just next to him, and the wave of force pushed him and made him flying across the corridor, and out of the opening.
"Triage!" Overclock yelled as he ran across the lines of fire, and tried to grab his servo. But it was too late, as Triage began to fell downwards under the influence of gravity.
---------------------------------------------------
"ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.....?" Triage yelled as he started to fall, but as he continue to fall, he felt pretty meaningless to continue yelling. Besides, there was still a long way down, and he didn't think he would have enough breathe to yell all the way down to the ground.
So this is how he would offline? Instead of plummeting to death, he'd imagined that he would die from a battle. Well technically, this fall was battle-caused, so it sorta match his expectation, not that he really welcomed it. It actually was quite fun free falling like that, but it would be much more fun if he had a parachute with him.
It's quite peaceful midair if you ignore the quickly nearing ground. He looked back up and saw the tiny dot where the Arclight was. He hoped the ship can survive, and so are his friends onboard. They are like his family and he really hope that they could be safe. He smiled as he thought of them, and somehow he heard Monsoon's and Overclock's voice scolding him about something like trying to live... Triage shook his helm a bit. Well, if he wanted his friends to live, he had to do his best as well or else he would be really hypocritical.
He frowned as his processor runs quickly to access how he could survive in this scenario. Landing on water or land would be the same for him - the speed is too high and the impact force would be too large for him to endure. How could he slow down...? Maybe using air?
He spread his limps wide so that his terminal velocity would be lower, and as he approached the surface, he charged up his pulse blaster and activated the S tech. He waited for the moment he had calculated, and if his calculations were correct, the shot, in addition to generating reaction force to slow him down, the super heat plasma (hopefully) would heat up the air along it's path. Air, as a gas, would expand greatly under heat and may push him upward, slowing down to a non-lethal level. He would have pay more attention on Maths and Physics lesson if he had known he would encounter such a situation.
Well, it's worth a try. The worst consequence of trying would have the same result as not trying, so why not? He braced himself, and at the instant he reached that calculated position, he fired.
He simultaneously activated his shield, hoping that it can deflect something and offer some position. The sir wave came and slowed him down a bit. But he still landed heavily and his body suffered from heavy damage due to the impact. He lay on the ground, not really able to move. But he knew that he was a foreign existence to this planet, and it's Cybertronian instinct to disguise and blend into the surroundings. He difficultly raised his head and saw something that resembles a vehicle with the similar size as him. He scanned it and painfully transformed into alt mode. That almost used up all the power that remains in him and darkness fell on him as he entered emergency stasis lock.
---------------------------------------------------
Years after...
---------------------------------------------------
"Hmm...?" Triage woke. What... happened...?
He... passed out...? Because he crash... fall from Arclight...? Triage tried to think and recall what happened as his whole body sent him numb pain signals.. His self-repair system only make his main system boot-up under minimum hardware requirement as the sudden deceleration on impact probably destroyed many of his delicate systems and hardwares. His processor was terribly slow now, and he couldn't seem to think straight.
Here... Earth... Autobot... Being attacked... Falling... stasis... Bit by bit, Triage tried to put together what he knew into something he could comprehend. He then checked his internal system monitor, and from that he saw pretty much everything was damaged, and the self-repair system had just given up on him. He wasn't even sure if the monitor itself was even correct. But little by little, he finally recalled what happened. He guessed it would be better if he can go back to the Autobot base, as with this kind of injuries and the broken self-repiar system, he didn't think he would be better by just sitting here and wait. If he did that, he would probably offline himself due to the extremely low energon reserve. Although the energon consumption was very low in the stasis lock status, the energon was almost used up to sustain his spark and repair himself.
Looking around him, he found that he was surrounded by piles and piles of rusty metallic chassis whose shape indicated their past as some kind of land vehicles. Confused, he looked up his own security camera.
- Entering Emergency Stasis Lock -
- Security Camera Activated -
"Hey, i didn't remember I parked the ambulance here?" A human, dressed in some kind of paramedic uniform, asked his companion.
"Maybe John parked it here? He does have a habit of not parking the ambulances back to where he took them." The other one replied.
"Again? Why haven't he been fired?" The first human raise an eyebrow.
"You wouldn't be fired if you have connections with someone high up." The other one said.
"Oh."
"Let's get it back before someone notices. Who knows if John would blame us for losing the ambulance."
The human nodded before entering Triage. He tried to turn the key and ignite the engine, but it didn't respond. The human asked, "Is this broken? I can't start the engine."
The other human went beside him to check, before suggesting, "We should call a tow truck."
Triage was then towed to different places, the hospital, the mechanic's, some kind of outdoor carpark and finally the scrapyard when the managers decided that the "ambulance" was too broken to be saved and can sell as scrap for some money.
-Energon insufficient. Security Camera turning off -

He turned the key and tried to start his engine. The engine coughed for a few times, but refused to start. Triage tried again, still can't start. Only when he tried the third time, the engine coughed again but finally started with a huge puff of black smoke coming out of his exhaust system. Triage mentally winced at this. His situation must be so bad that incomplete combustion occurred even when he used energon as fuel. He shifted into the first gear and gradually release the clutch as he rolled forward. While the road was unpaved, it wasn't very rough but the chassis of Triage rocked violently. Urghh... Stuck suspension system.
He slowly left the scrapyard through it's gate, and departed to find the Autobots.
