Falling forward onto her chestplate, Astrinal grumbled a few unsatisfied words, some not entirely meant for prying audicals. In a split second, Astrinal rolled to where her backplate faced the ground, which she then kicked upward. Her backplate arched and created a forceful movement, enough to push her off the ground and height enough to make contact with Taggon's shoulderpad. The movement wasn't designed for any damaged, but to act as a spring. With her momentum, Taggon would at least be forced onto his skidplate, or to stumble if she'd made contact. Leading afterwards was a short lived backflip, which ended with her back on her peds.
If the momentum of her previous actions worked, which would result with Taggon on the ground, Astrinal would take a few strides forward and jab her sword downward towards Taggon, aiming to pin him down in the shoulderpad or lower chestplate.

Astrinal's roll and then spring maneuver proved effective, as her agility shown once more. Taggon was sent to his skid-plate due to the squat-like sitting he was in;balancing perfectly on the first halves of his trundles, fresh from his own back-flip. Astrinal thus continued to stab her blade for him, as to pin him by the chest to the ground. Taggon's blue visor continued to glow its dark blue hue, though never hinting at Taggon's current emotion. It was quite sudden how quickly the femme had gotten back to her feet using his own balance as the cost for her regaining of ground, now her motive to pin him, and possibly end the fight. Any moron would have known in order to end a training session or spar, you pin your opponent. Well, any ex-Decepticons would know for that matter.
Taggon jerked the thicker part of his right shoulder in the way of the blade, as to make Astrinal's weapon pierce for his right shoulder. His right shoulder was lowered though, as Taggon played his hand. Astragal's servo was jutting outwards, outstretching and exposed. Taggon's right shoulder would get sliced into as he used his right servo to grab her for her wrist, the shield slowly cranking backwards so that his servo would touch her without sawing off anything valuable, the saw-shield rapidly folding back into his arm as it slid under the blade which had penetrated his shoulder armor, leaving a nasty cut on his pad. Meanwhile though, the momentum Astrinal had used would be used against her; At such distance, it was hard for Taggon's right servo to not full-fill its mission, which was to wrap around Astrinal's wrist which held her blade. Taggon had twisted his body so that his right shoulder would take the damage for him, and begin to send him backwards some, but not before pulling his own stunt.
If Taggon's right servo reached its destination, Taggopn would twist Astrinal's arm as he gave a sharp pull forward, planning for the sword she was carrying to either slip from her grasp or not be capable of harming him in his counter attack. Taggon's pull was intended to bring Astrinal with her arm still twisted smack-down on the ground to the right of Taggon, who was also tilting backwards thanks to the force of the slice she had given to his shoulder. If she did hit the ground, Taggon would perform a backwards roll, preventing himself from smacking to the ground himself, resuming his balance as well. The roll would land Taggon right beside AStrinal, with his right servo still clenched around her twisted left one, again, if the aforesaid maneuvers were successful. If so, Taggon would attempt to fold AStrinal's servo behind her back, applying weight so that she herself would be pinned.
"Your turn again."
((Bet you didn't see that one coming.))

While both Astrinal and Taggon duked it out to see who'd come out on top, Astrinal had attempted to handcuff Taggon by his servo, and hopefully hook the other while she'd been tossed. Though, Astrinal had made a very inaccurate calculation, and one she should have considered: He was bigger than her. Hence, when her servo reached to hook his other servo, she realized his forearm pressed the cuff in the other direction, and latched onto herself.
'your turn.'
Well that surely backfired! Astrinal wanted to snort. But she had to leave Taggon thinking he had the upper hand. With one of her arms stuck on her backplate, Taggon had forgotten one thing: her legs and peds were still free. Bringing the ped closest to Taggon against her chestplate, She then kicked it sharply at his peds, aiming to make him stumble. If he did, he'd be taking each other off the ground. Which would free her and make her stumble as well.

Taggon knew the legs of his opponent were free when Astrinal had hit the ground, and slightly astonished him with her cuffing skills once more; even at this range, she seemed to not be the best to cuff. Then again the cuffs were not precisely his wrist or arm size, so taking this technicality into consideration one might find Astrinal's err pardonable. Really though, if Taggon had been fighting to kill, the mistake would have been perhaps fatal. Astrinal would have been fighting differently no doubt, but if a mistake like this would have occurred in such a combat, a throat would have been slitted perhaps sooner. Again though--a hypothetical scenario.
Taggon was no fool; victory was something that wasn't achieved in just one or two simple moves. It was something that one toiled over, both parties were always expected to fight tooth and nail when it came to any spar between Decepticons--especially in the Vehicon Academy. To resort to her legs as tools was something that could only be expected. After all, his maneuver had been to incapacitate Astrinal's arms by folding and forcing her arm behind her back. Perhaps not rendering her other arm helpless, but it would have granted him another opening nonetheless. For her to apply her legs as springs in this situation was something that Taggon found as a clear option for a reaction on Astrinal's behalf. Kicking, the femme aimed to get him to the ground as to liberate herself from his grasp.
Astrinal did hit his ped strategically for the side, as to stumble him. As for his counter-reaction? Taggon turned his body parts some, rotating his feet, positioning on behind the other, bending his foot so that it would support his other leg as it faced the incoming spring-kick. As for his planted leg? He would lower his chest, so that he would lean the majority of his weight on the single planted leg, and as a support have his other left foot to support his positioning. The supportive appendage had dragged hastily along the stone floor, making a gravelly sound crackle across the floor. The result of this was Astrinal's kick hitting Taggon's lower shin, causing him to back slightly thanks to her own fast reflexes, but the formation had come into being quick enough for it to be mostly effective. The formation was enough to keep Taggon steady, though at the cost of a steady grip on Astrinal's arm. With his grip weakened, Taggon found it pointless to hold her any longer, but instead to do something else. She would struggle from him anyways, so why cling on? She could use his determination to retain a grip on her to her advantage after all.
Taggon's arm fell back from Astrinal while his other reached for one of his blades. The knife flew from his hand, whistling through the air as the sharp blade with the jagged backside flew for a spot just right above to the stumbling Astrinal's head. Taggon in truth did not know what movements to take precisely, seeing as they were not playing a wrestling match where if you were kept on the ground for three seconds you were 'out', or a real combat where he could employ other means of incapacitation like EMPs or explosives. He had to play by the rules of his commander, which made him wonder, would it be just good for him if he allowed her to win in s sense where she would think she won? Or was the fact that he ws delivering the message 'I could have killed' by landing a knife right over her head? Taggon kept his optics peeled, readying his legs to switch formation, ready to lean this way or that, or use his now available right servo.

Astrinal felt a small amount of freedom when Taggon shifted his position, which her servo was released all together. While Taggon had prepared a knife, She to had made a swift movement for her own. Her free servo, the one not bound by a cuff, slung for a knife on her belt, and flipped it in her hand just enough to face his ped. At the same time, the knife from Taggon's servo had landed directly above her helm, which would have startled her. She would have lost then, if they were fighting to kill. But luckily, this was only some kind of spar- only without holoweapons.
A split second after Taggon's knife landed, Astrinal would plunge her own knife into Taggon's closest ped. Her aim, despite her angle, was toward's Taggon's ankle joint. The point for this attack was to lock his ankle up, which would hopefully break his sturdy stance from him previous move. If it worked, Astrinal would raise herself from the ground. Then, unlike anything she'd ever do, she would bring herself to her knees and shove Taggon against the chestplate. The idea for this was to knock him over, which she could resume with the fight.

((Well, seems legit to me.))
The knife came jabbing for his ankle, and at such a distance, the knife dug into Taggon's ankle joint; dead center. Reeling back upwards, Astrinal shoved him, desiring for him to thud to the ground. With his ankle's ability to move impeded, Taggon found himself gruffly shoved to the ground on his side, making a loud clanking sound. Taggon was caught slightly off guard by her sudden switching of level. Yet it didn't compute entirely, the setting of fighting style he was on leaving his processor unsure of what to do next for a moment. They weren't fighting to kill, so they could hurt each other? His past moves had only been used because he had known Astrinal would have dodged or been shown that it could have been End Game. So if she had just incapacitated his ankle, and now that energon slowly began to bleed out of it, so that meant--
A race of neutralizing limbs. Interesting. Taggon concluded. It was a clear and solid explanation that his programming allowed him to grasp. He usually had to apply logic or good reasoning to most things otherwise things just didn't compute. Taggon wrapped a servo around the blade in his ankle, ripping it out so that he would be able to use it, even if it stung. The blade came out quickly nonetheless, and with that Taggon flicked his wrist upwards. The knife would come darting at a quick speed at a deadly close distance not for Astrinal's ankle, not for her face, no. Such locations were predictable to Taggon, so he had aimed it for the one spot which he found vulnerable to his sights; Astrinal's axilla. Her unfocused servo was now fully in view now that he was on the floor, and so Astrinal's free-servo's axilla was in good view, and that was exactly where the tip of the razor sharp blade flew. It's mission was to pierce the arm from beneath, and to prevent Astrinal from using the entire arm thanks to how it would kink her whole arm.
Perhaps it wasn't a very gentlemanly thing to do; throwing a knife at that part of a femme, but to Taggon this fight was getting more and more dirty, and if she playing one way, she was only delivering the message that he could play that way as well. That was not all however. After the knife was thrown, the split second that he calculated it to land, Taggon swung one of his legs to the sides, intending to force Astrinal to the ground by kicking the sides of the area just above her knee-caps. She was still on her knees, so it was the only option for him if he wanted her to be sent to her side.

While Taggon made his recover, Astrinal had rushed forward with a surge, attempting to come at him without any hesitation. But during the rush, Taggon had already thrown another knife at close proximity. Thankfully, Astrinal had the chance to slide over a bit, but the knife managed to lodge it's self in her upper arm. Since she was still rushing forward, Astrinal had a chance to grab Taggon's free servo with her cuffed one, and manage to throw herself over Taggon's helm. This was acomplished with a swift pop off her knees and on her peds.
If her turn worked, Astrinal would aim to yank Taggon's arm backwards. Since she had a grip on his free servo, Taggon's other servo by default would move as well.

Astrinal came forth, as to jump over his helm and to bring his arm back, his wrist clasped in her servo. If she achieved this, Taggon knew that several things could be done to him that would neutralize too many of his pieces. So she was going for his back--the fight was still not something that was over though. Astrinal brought his servo back as she came over his helm, though as she commenced her little jump over, Taggon relaxed his spine, letting his back bend backwards with his arm, as Astrinal came from behind, the top of his head following her movement while his blue visor glowed at the ceiling. His femurs would be twisting and pulling his legs upward, not to harm Astrinal, but for another cause entirely.
In mid-spine-fall, Taggon straightened himself once more, sending the proper processor signals to his legs, back, and arms to be ready for their next job. As Astrinal would land, Taggon used the arm which had been grabbed to pull himself forward, and Astrinal's cuffed arm forwards; towards him. Meanwhile, his legs would shove themselves downwards, smashing into the ground but bounding his form up, causing the legs to arch in the air as they came around. The sharp pull done by Taggon's arm would send Astrinal forward at least somewhat, perhaps a few feet to a meter, if she had no way of planting her legs within the instant. if not, Taggon's legs would arch around, causing his body to fly through the air thanks to the spring-like maneuver down with them to get them straight into the air. Taggon's feet would land directly on Astrinal's own spine, or they would both smash right into her other arm depending on how far the strong pull had brought her. Taggon had gripped Astrinal's same servo that held his with his own grip so that she wouldn't be able to let go. Whether it was her spine or her other arm, Taggon's cling to Astrinal while doing a back-flip like maneuver would come to another effect: His arm would be facing forwards again, along with his before-not so free arm.
Taggon's own parts wheezed some at this move, though this wasn't the only bit of action Taggon performed. His other arm which was not clutching Astrinal's cuffed servo swung for her other arm, intending to clasp firmly around her spare arm so that her main tools for attacking would be contained by his own. Should this move work, that lets her legs. Though to Taggon, since he was either sitting on her spine or cuffed-hand-upper arm, maybe even her shoulder, that would leave Astrinal pinned to the ground once more, her legs a bit out of range.
The 'sitting' posture he would land on her should his quick counter strike work would be one leg's tip of the shin digging into the center of wherever he landed, the other pede solidly stomping onto the rest of her. The edge-of the knee was meant for breaking either her spine or arm, or shoulder, thanks to his own weight suddenly being slammed onto her.
((Phew.))

*CRACK*
Astrinal froze underneath Taggon's ped, her optics wide in circles. Something had most definitely gone wrong. She couldn't describe the actual pain coming from her back, specifically her spine. But whatever Taggon had done, it had made Astrinal halt in surprise. Astrinal remained tense, but she didn't exactly move. Astrinal's breathe suddenly emitted from her mouth, a short pant of pain and surprise.
"Holy Scrap." Was the first thing that came out of her mouth. "I think you won."

There was a hiss emitting from Taggon's back plating, as two panels unfolded from his back, shooting out hot air, depleting it from his systems so he could continue functioning. The fight had gone faster and faster, requiring him to move quickly, without any breaks almost. He vented heavily as things can to a stop all of the sudden, his opponent still.
'I think you won.'
Taggon blinked behind his Prussian blue visor, which dimmed some, as if in small relief. The wheels on Taggons shoulders began to turn, making a humming sound as his engine gradually slowed down. From his visor, as his optics relaxed from their own glow behind his visor, he found himself staring down at the helm of his commander. He paused for a moment, the duel was over? It sounded strange to him, like an alien concept. He ran the words through his helm, the indications, reviewing them wordlessly for a few seconds as his body clicked itself little by little out of combat mode. Taggon loosened his grip on Astrinal slowly, before gently stepping off of her. His optic lenses closed before he shook his helm, clearing his mind that seemed to be so focused on one thing. He could think fast yes, but he had been so absorbed in this fight as things had gone faster and faster that now he was required to cease his doings in that department. It was clean up time.
"Apologies for the...choice of maneuvers Commander." Taggon spoke as his visor faced her. it was true they had been sparring, but perhaps he had over done it. Though if her spine was powerful enough to support her titanium armor, then perhaps it wasn't as broken as he believed. Perhaps a simple thermal-wield would seal her spin up, get it back to functioning. Though Taggon doubted it was that simple. Medical treatment was not his department. Simply put, 'destroying stuff' was. Taggon's voice hadn't been grim at all however. He rolled his shoulders,
"I must confess Ma'am, you surprised me when you attacked me in the first place, and applied Holo imagery. Tell me, did you scheme for us to duel long enough that you sent out a holo image to speak and walk for you in the first place?" it was less of a question really, and more of an interested statement. Taggon did wonder how she had pulled the little stunt off without anyone noticing. He supposed that since she was the stealthiest in the group, and most-likely the smartest, it was why she was Alpha. "On another note ma'am, shall I assist you to the medical bay?" Taggon asked. He assumed she would say yes, but he waited for her nonetheless, offering his servo to her as he knelt by the green femme's side.

Even though the fight was over, Taggon and Astrinal were still bound together by cuffs. The femme chuckled ever so slightly, using her upper strength to roll on the ground and onto her back. Astrinal smirked, shrugging her shoulderpads.
"I swapped things around, yes. I wanted to see if I was getting rusty." Astrinal snickered, patting her sideplates down for her pack of cigarettes. She grasped the small pack slightly, and presumed to take a cigarette, light it, and take a swift huff. "So yes, I had planned for the entire thing to happen."
Dragging herself slowly towards some rocks, Astrinal made a mental note to approach at far distances with Taggon. He wasn't one to be dealt with at close range. Or maybe it's because my field skills are poor.." "And no, you and I have a bit of- buisness to conduct. Sit down, Our chat might be a while."
While speaking, Astrinal placed her cigarette in her mouth and proceeded to search the cracks of the rocks, until grasping a large bottle of high grades. The quantity was for two people, but Astrinal didn't have cups. She didn't seem to care much, since she tried to open the bottle straight away.

There she was, scheming in that little helm of hers. Taggon genuinely wondered if in their next fight, she would win because of her losing. The errors in his tactics were--well, he would check them later. Until then, he would chew on her next little piece of words, 'Conduct business'. Astrinal plopped a cigarette in her mouth, and after shuffling through some stones, pulled out a familiar looking bottle. Had she really saved that bottle this whole time? Taggon furrowed one optic ridge and raised the other behind his mask, as he sat down. He was starting to regret having landed on Astrinal's spine as he watched her. There had been a nasty crack, though it was there hopefully just a few cracks in the spine. What was done was done though, and since Astrinal seemed to be insisting on some kind of business, persuading her otherwise would be useless. Not that he would try to in the first place.
Taggon was about to reach for one of his knives as to sharpen it to make himself at home, only to remember that Astrinal's cuffed-wrist had fully connected to his own, and he was stuck until she revealed the key. Unfortunately, it would take more than a knife to cut through the kind of cuff she was using too. It was made out of quality and very solid material, constructed not to be broken all too easily. It seemed very queer to Taggon that it would require a cuff for this business Astrinal spoke of to work. It only begged the question, 'what is going on?'.
Taggon's wheels continued to spin at a low pace, as he sat down patiently waiting for an answer. At times, in restlessness, his wheels would run and express some of his curiosity or anxiety or even longing to invest his energies in a project.
"Of what shall we speak of ma'am?" Taggon asked mildly. He noticed how upbeat Astrinal seemed to be becoming for someoeon who had come right out of a spar. Taggon quietly took the gander that she's been planning this for a while. In that moment, he recalled the message in the Aries Fist, and then her words when he had met her as Crashcourse---By the stars, she has been waiting.

Washing back a small amount of high grades, Astrinal placed the bottle to her side. For almost a quarter of the exodus, Astrinal had performed a top secret undercover mission on the nemesis, posing as a muted demolitionist. She found it very funny, how for so long a spy slipped under there noses, and merely played with them. The only group smart enough to see her was the DJD, and she died because of it. And now here she was, revived all thanks to Taggon. But that had been months ago, and they both were kinda past it.
Back on point. she thought.
"Your current status in the A19 Strike Team.." Astrinal spoke, at first dragging her words. "Of course, that's going to change, Mr. Second in Command.."
Astrinal stopped to turn to Dannybosa, who'd offered to undo her wonderful cuff job. Shaking her helm, Astrinal huffed on her cigarette. "It's okay, Danny. I've got this." Astrinal said.

Things were seeming more and more foreign to Taggon as the situation continued to play out into something Taggon hadn't quite experienced. It was true that his optics had laid themselves on many an event, and that he had always seen reason or perspective in almost everything that he had seen...but this made absolutely no sense to him. So Astrinal, his commander, wanted to debate with him about his positioning in the A19 Strike team. But she needed to hand-cuff herself to him, and try to get one of both of them drunk while doing it.
if this were a journey, it would definitely be the part where the GPS said 're-calculating'. Taggon had absolutely no idea what to do. Sharpening his knives wouldn't really do anything, and he didn't know what to say. 'Nice cuff you have here,'? Nope. So his wheels switched directions in turning, going a bit faster as he thought of what to do exactly. Evidently, she didn't want the cuff off either. So what did she want? What was this scenario to be categorized under? Then another strange fact hit him. Where he had first been anxious...all of the sudden he was at ease again. but not because he masked himself with a calmness. he just felt at home. Even if Astrinal's teases were unusual sometimes, something in him just shrugged, and he felt he could deal with this. There was a factor to her mood that made him loosen up some.
She was a friend. He didn't have to be so nervous and guarded. He could trust her, even if she had pulled a few smart ones on the battlefield. Dannybosa had yet to gain such trust, but until then...Taggon quietly leaned up against the rock wall that was behind him. His shoulder wheels were only slowly turning as of now, though he was calmer again. Nothing was wrong with having a small break with his Commander. The incident in the electrolounge had taught him to be at ease in a time of peace. It was only logical for him to be so after all, otherwise there was no point in fighting for peace if others or himself couldn't enjoy a partial amount.
"Very well Commander."
