Jazz had been stalking this location for a while now; ever since the battle in Japan where he had gone into a stasis lock that put him out of the battle. He had followed Soundwave's signature to this location and then... nothing. He had thought his tracker was broken until he had taken the time to look around and prod a bit deeper. Further inspection of the location had revealed an evident mining spot, possibly for whatever fuel the Earth's surface could provide. A ground bridge here wouldn't have been a foolish idea considering the isolated nature of it and it would keep their ship clear out of sight and accessibility, especially to those Autobots who couldn't fly. Like Jazz, for instance. But hey, that was why he was an AUTO-bot. Out here his communication array wouldn't work so he was pretty much on his own, left to inspect the dig teams on his own and keep out of sight. That was proving to be rather difficult, considering his white color scheme wasn't the best at concealing himself amongst all the tan sand dunes. But hey, he managed.
The vehicons would often groundbridge back and forth but they were usually in multiple teams so trying to sneak on with them would be suicide. He wasn't particularly in the mood to get himself caught since he didn't know what really awaited him once he was able to gain access to the Nemesis. Shockwave was probably there somewhere and that was the main issue he would have to be cautious about making contact with. Shockwave wasn't particularly well known for his beside manner and the couple of occassions that he had come within close proximity of him had been enough to make his energon flow stall. He could handle probably just about anything else, but Shockwave? Definitely not. Not when he had overrun logic sensors and experiments coating his processor.
So now, it was a waiting game. Thankfully, he was one of the most patient of 'Bots, so he would sit there waiting for days until the perfect opportunity came. It would only be a matter of time before someone else would come down to oversee the dig teams and then he would make his move to infiltrate the Nemesis.
