Shadow-Strike: Well it sounds like it won't be an overly new sensation for long. So does he speak or is he one of the more silent quintesson tools.
Crossing his arms Shadow-Strike was trying to get to know Howtire a little better than his current files without actually releasing anything of importance about him. it was a delicate procedure of course as he continued to listen.

"He speaks. Not very well out loud but when he hooks up to you it's like some kind of mental link. Also, he can tell when you're lying when he does that," Hotwire took a deep breath, "He... seems... pretty intelligent."
Hotwire chewed on one claw thoughtfully, "I hope he doesn't think of me as a partner. I don't need partners." She was trying to work out how much to tell Shadow-strike. She didn't want him wanting the living gadget for himself. Especially when that shady mother-board fragger could already turn invisible.
"Gadgets, huh? If you're not strong without them, what are you? I mean seriously, upgrade junkies are total losers. If you can't fight well enough without your upgrades, what kind of fighter are you? They should be a last resort..."
She gave him a sly look.
"Or am I offending you?"

Shadow-Strike: It's a bit of an offence, I'm a terrible fighter without my gadgets. Although I always have them so in a way they are part of me.
Although his very tone of voice suggested the mech was being deadly serious and infact their was a tint of sadness as if he had took it as an insult Shadow-Strike was lieing, he'd fought multiple times without an assortment of gadgets. They supplemented his abilities by all means but he didn't rely on them at any time, Shadow-Strike could preform regardless of restraints.
Shadow-Strike: But being honest a living gadget doesn't interest me that much.

"Honest, huh?"
Hotwire laughed.
"If we're honest... I guess I'm not gonna actually kill that creep Death Wish next time I see him. I mean, vengeance? That's not my thing. But he owes me a ship, and my fist owes his face."
She rubbed her helm, trying to interpret Shadow-Strike better. he wasn't anything like as open as she was; she wasn't so good at interacting with people if she didn't have stasis cuffs handy.

Shadow-Strike: If you owe him then I won't argue about it then. if he betrayed you then he knew the price when he did it.
Watching her Shadow-Strike sat back down on the berth as he began to lay back into it to relax. He was still making slight pauses between the conversation just to observe the self-examination his internal systems where currently performing as he raised an optic ridge.
Shadow-Strike: If you look at me, nothing looks usual am I correct?

"What do you mean? Nothing looks usual? That's not very..."
Hotwire tilted her head and stood, moving so that she was standing next to the berth Shadow-Strike was lying on.
"You look pretty good to me - I mean, okay on the outside, I guess... How are your internals doing?"
It was probably the closest she was coming to asking if he was okay. She looked at him more closely.
"I do know some medical stuff. Mostly for keeping prisoners functional and... some of my clients are remarkably insistent that they want to hadmage their Marks themselves. It's kind of tough to practice solo though. If you want I could take a closer look. For free, natch. It's not my speciality."

Shadow-Strike: No probably just a sensor issue let me see if I can fix it.
Tapping his helm Shadow-Strike began to try and feel the delay between sight and feeling to tell if their was any issues with either system as he gave a light sigh. It appeared to just be a standard optic issue, all it required was a few minutes of recalibration.
Shadow-Strike: So you have any strange stories Hotwire?

"About a million. There was the time I, and the time we, and of course, the time I ended up seducing one client during our negociations over the length of a contract..." Hotwire laughed, "Those are funny stories though. There's also the story of how my Autobot brother shot my Decepticon brother in the back of the head. Less funny..."
Shadow-strike wound his hand in a 'go-on' manner.
"Okay. But you owe me a story for it. Y'see..." Hotwire tried to think of where to start, "When the war broke out, my family was divided on whether it supported cons or bots. I kept trying to... y'know... get them to meet and talk. Tried not to take sides. Tried to take both of their sides. And everything was just busting up to the Inferno. My brothers were the worst; they'd totally forgotten how much they cared about each other before the war. I tried..."
She bit on one claw awkwardly.
"I tried to get them to talk. Figured that if I could get them to talk, it would be better and we could be a family again. Of course, I kind of hard to trick them because they wouldn't voluntarily stand in the same room any more. So they didn't know each other was going to be there..."
She rubbed her face.
"I got there first, and then Oil-Check turned up. I tried to explain it to him, and keep him there, and he was really pissed off and screaming at me and then there was this bang and Coolant was just standing a few feet away with his smoking pistol looking like... like..."
Hotwire sat on the berth heavily, covering her face with her hands. She'd never forget the look on her younger, Autobot brother's face as the realisation had settled in. Like he didn't know what he was doing. And then he'd made a run for it while she knelt there screaming in her own shock.
"That's what happens when you try to have everything. You gamble, and end up with nothing."

Shadow-Strike: A shame. A little dark and admittedly I do feel sympathise for your losses in this war, however I guess my "story" if you can even call it that is a lot shorter and I suppose a much happier experience. After all I did ask for a strange story and if you want to me to return one then I suppose I have no issue with that.
Laying back into his berth Shadow-Strike thought more about the stranger things about his life as he began to adjust himself, a slight smirk began to cross his face. He however still gave the femme enough of the berth as he sat at the top with his back laid against the head rest and his knees bent to ensure his pede's didn't go any further than halfway. Although he'd lost people in the war he found he had stranger stories to tell after all most of his losses where depressing and he didn't desire to bore anyone with the details of uninteresting deaths, he preferred to remember the interesting people after all rather than their deaths. At a time he might have even found death interesting now it was just so common it had no intrigue.
Continuing to think about what to tell Shadow-Strike began to slowly tap his pelvic plate as he thought for a second, he knew what he wanted to say as he continued to tap.
Shadow-Strike: I used to be a femme could be interesting I suppose.

Gox had sipped out what he had wanted from the tube, and then he made a few chittering noises with his long fangs. He had then silently listened as the two spoke about him right in from t of him. It made him slightly irritated that they spoke of him, but never looked his direction. To Gox, this Shadow-Strike person seemed to be suspicious. He didn't bother hissing at the mech though, or by any means showing he was intelligent. Instead Gox just stared back at them, with dull and curious optics, as if he just crawled around for curiosity. Shadow-Strike had seen the spider do something intelligent, but Gox was going to pretend he wasn't really all that special. He could tell when there was someone you could listen to, and someone you shouldn't listen to.
It was something about how this Shadow-Strike spoke that made Gox uneasy around him. There was something that told Gox, in his small experience with hooking up to Cybertronians, that this mech was not always telling the truth. Gox analyzed what was going on here. Shadow-Strike was questioning Hotwire, who answered. Perhaps unlike Shadow-Strike, she answered with the truth. It was still a bit insulting to be spoken of even though he was right in front of them. It made Gox feel like they classified him as just some hot-shot little spider who they'd crush on for sheer amusement later. I've got my optics on you, shady-one. Gox thought as he carefully retained his unintelligent-life look. It was somewhat tricky. Good news so far was that Gox had found a good food source. Gox attention was slowly averted from looking dumb to listening to the tale Hotwire shared. Gox remained on the perch of the energon dispenser, and as the tale ended, Gox realized something. There was no soil where he was. Everything looked to be made out of...rock.

"You... used to be a femme, Shadow-Strike?" Hotwire laughed, but not unpleasantly, "I've heard of people who have their gender-quality switched, but it always seemed a little... superfluous... sounds interesting though..."

Shadow-Strike: I leave you with the curiosity that their was infact no operation to change my gender, yet I stand here a mech.
Laying back again to relax Shadow-Strike let a cube drop from a gap in his gauntlets as he began to flicker it around with his smirk slightly fading. He knew that Gox was waiting, even such a creature as it garnered enough attention from Shadow-Strike. Such small creatures usually concealed some nasty surprises for the unaware and he had no intention of being one.
Shadow-Strike: I suppose a slight shame that mech's where always more willing to let a femme close, unless... I am really still a femme and merely hiding behind some additional armour plating to hide such a protoform.

"Cross-plating, huh?" Hotwire just shook her helm in amusement, not judgemental at all, if slightly doubtful, "But I don't get it... why exactly would you hide it? I've found that mechs tend to let their guard down a little in the presence of femmes... assuming they're more sensitive... and all that jumk. Why would you change that?"

Shadow-Strike: Well I didn't say I was a femme right now, I suggested it was a possibility.
Lowering his visor Shadow-Strike closed his optics and seemed to sink into a slight form of stasis, although a slight observation could tell he was still listening and able to react to anything that could occur in the room. Including the little spider.

Hotwire was clearly confused, "You mean you want to be a femme?"
She dropped it.
"I'll have work to find anyway. Maybe I'll head to... hmmm... Oh yes. Canada looks promising... Or Japan. I'm too run down to head out right now. How about you, Gox?" she suddenly acknowledged the spider.

Gox had been looking around the room, and listening to the conversation. Interesting, those two. Gox suddenly had lost the small irritation of being invisible, and had begun to think of all the things he could do now that they didn't pay him any attention. He could maybe scratch some curses on the berths, 'abandon all hope, he who lays here.'
There was just one problem with that, Gox had not figured out how to write, and could barely speak. It sucked. Gox was beginning to think of doing some more exploring, and seeing if there were on any trees, or ground, or grass, or water. Those were some very beautiful things in Goxes view, and to find that he was on a bunch of rocky-like substance made him disappointed. Who liked this place anyways? There was nothing to chase, nothing to crawl on that could conceal you, there was just some the same boring old smells, and not much flying space. Plus, there wasn't a sun either, just some lights on the walls that were like cheap copies of the radiant, yellow star. Cybertronians, are very high-tech, but strange folk. Gox concluded in his mind, still perching on the energon dispenser.
'---How about you, Gox?'
Gox caught his name, and it took him a moment to answer. Japan? Canada? "Gox thought we were in Germany, deep inside rock." Gox gestured to the walls with one of his legs, "Strange smooth rock: Unnatural, measured, light-full rock." The spider spoke, using vibration to create the sound of words. He still had a tricky time pronouncing the language. Then Gox recalled that he was supposed to be acting stupid. Oops. I am so new to this whole acting thing anyways...it was inevitable a ga-teauyhe like this Shadow-Strike would've seen through this act...

"No, Gox. I took a Ground Bridge when everything went to the Inferno. We're on board the Nemesis. In the Med-Bay," Hotwire felt very sightly bad about assuming the sleeping Gox had known about this, "Japan and Canada seem to be places of high activity though. I figured it might be worth seeing if there's a Mark..."
She laughed briefly to herself.
"Or even having some fun. I'll be going. You can go where you like. It's not like I own you," she completed.

Gox considered Hotwire's words. Nemesis was not a country or place on earth, as far as Gox knew. Gox thought about what he was dealing with here. Nemesis..ground-bridge..Med-Bay..All these terms that were basic for the transformers. Gox blinked as he pieced it together. he'd seen other Cybertronians say 'I'm calling in a ground-bridge' and then a green worm hole would appear, and then vanish after the callers went in. The Nemesis sounded like the name of something big, like a country. Yet, it clearly wasn't. That meant two things to Gox, since he had recently seen what the Cybertronians could easily pul off.
"The sky holds Mountain Nemesis." Gox said aloud, which was his way of saying, that the Nemesis was indeed a spaceship. Or whatever the Autobtos had used back in Germany. Gox unfolded his wings, and leaped from his position and then landed on Hotwire's shoulder. If this mountain/ship was full of just this strange smooth rock with embedded lights, and nothing natural, then Gox found no benefit to staying. Sure, thee was energon, but there was no telling what these people would do to him. Gox was a bt scared of Shadow-Strike, since the mech had been able to say something in such a way that Gox wanted to hiss, yet the mech had pulled it of smoothly, without Hotwire hissing too. So strange, these folk. Still, earth sounded like a heaven if all this Nemesis was like this room. Ugh. "Gox come."

With her using Gox as she was, Hotwire felt like she should help him understand better.
"These flying mountains as you call them... they're ships. Space-ships," she spoke in a way that Shadow-Strike would have felt of as unusally... friendly? ...to the small robot, "We use them to travel and if they're big enough, to live on, between planets. I came here to get repaired. I don't really live here. It's not like I really live anywhere..."
She called in a Ground-bridge to Canada.
