"This is the Non-Emergency Ward. As the name suggests, it is for non-emergency procedures. That being said, this is the place for repairs that may require more extensive and/or detailed operations than a simple patching of the armor or replacing a few lost digits. Be it a compound fracture of a joint or two, the fabrication and installation of a new limb, or a complete overhaul/replacement of highly damaged armor, the tools needed for each of these procedures, and many more, can be found here. If not, check over in the Surgical Ward or the Storage Room, you will find what you need in one of those two places.
A number of berths are lined up in two rows within the large room that makes up this Ward. Ample space between the berths allows medics to repair patients on adjacent berths without getting in each-others way - most of the time. Along the right wall, upon entering the Ward, is a series of cabinets and shelves that are home to smaller, typically hand-held, tools and items commonly used for injuries that require more detailed work to repair. Larger, basic operating tools and equipment can be found along the other walls, like fabrication machines for various part replacements, a refrigerator for various fluids and medicines that need to be kept cool while in storage, and carts to hold tools and supplies within reach of a medic at work.
It is recommended that non-essential personnel do not linger in this Ward while patients are being worked on. However, most medics tend to allow visitors to stand by and chat with the patient, as long as they do not get in the way of the medic's work."

"My designation is Doctor Chiro, may I have your's? Chiro asked as she guided the femme to sit on one of the medical beds. She then gathered the supplies necessary to help clean the poor femme's ventalation system.

"Designation? Oh! *sneezes* My designation *sneezes* is *big sneeze* Gunstorm. I'm new *sneezes* around here." Gunstorm replied as she sat down on the medical bed. Curiously, Gunstorm watched the medic as she gathered the supplies, wondering if she should ask Chiro about something that had been bugging her processors for a while.

"Gunstorm" Chiro repeated softly, commiting it to memory. She walked over with a clean, semi-damp cloth and a small airpump-vaccum combo machince. "Here," she handed Gunstorm the cloth. "try to make sure you get all the soot off you while I get this set up. We don't want a little soot that's been overlooked getting you into another sneezing fit after we get you feeling better, now do we?" She smiled warmly at Gunstorm before setting the machine on the bed beside her. chiro quickly programmed the vacuum to the estimated settings needed to clean out the femme's systems of the soot that seemed to have made it's way inside her vents.

Gunstorm took the cloth from Chiro, grinning back at the medic as she started to get the soot off of her frame. After a few cycles of rubbing off all the soot she could find, Gunstorm noticed that her sneezing was starting to diminish somewhat. Finally making up her processor, Gunstorm looked back at Chiro.
"Chiro? May I ask you a question?" she managed to say without a sneeze interrupting her.

"That's my designation, don't wear it out." She smiled jokingly at the young femme. "You can ask, but let's first get your system clear before you get something jammed even deeper in your vents, ok?" She held up the hose that connected to the machine. "Put the end of the hose in your intake and let the machine work. You'll feel differences in air pressure, from pressing in to pulling out, while the machine is working. But, once it's run the full time, you should be mostly clear of all soot and dust. Alright?"
She paused and closed her optics for a moment. "Actually, I'll come back and check on you about time the machine's cycle ends. I've been summoned to the field." She smiled reassuringly at the young femme."Again, keep the hose in your intake and press this button here to start it, she pointed to the large green button on the top of the machine. "It'll stop on it's own when the time's up. I'll be back soon." She patted Gunstorm's shoulder and then left for the command center.

Gunstorm nodded as she took the hose from Chiro. After the medic had left the room, Gunstorm let out a soft vent and placed the hose in her intake, pressing the green button. The sensation of the air pressure changing felt somewhat ticklish, making her shift around a little bit. To distract her processor from the light tickling sensation, Gunstorm turned on her favorite music playlist, closed her optics and tapped silently in time to the music as she waited for Chiro to return.

The machine had finished its cycle several hours ago, and Gunstorm was getting bored. She wondered what was holding up Chiro.
"Eh, I guess I'll just wander around Med Bay for a while,"she muttered to herself, shrugging. Accessing her memory files, Gunstorm reset the machine to its original settings and put it back in the same location Chiro had gotten it from. With that done, she walked out of the room and picked a random direction.

*Feenix bridges into the Ward with her Predacon son held between her beak by the neck piece. She finds a bed for him and sets him down.
His optic was bleeding badly over his face and he looked roughly handled and dirty. There were various cuts and broken parts on his furry wolf body. She then sits on the end of his bed till a medic arrived, her optics bright green still.*

Gunstorm had seen someone bring in what looked like a large blue wolf, and he seemed to be in bad shape. She knew she needed to find a medic - and fast. She took off running, looking for someone to help.

(Just popped in to say that Helix isn't in that bad shape; certainly the injuries he has arn't from Hotwire.)

(( Fee won't think about herself till Helix is taken care of. She'll just sit there and wait, even if she's bleeding out. ))
*Helix snoozes loudly as a bubble expands and sinks with his breathing, his injuries starting to itch in his wolf mode. Feenix was also sleeping, her wounds had clogged up to stop bleeding but she was still a state.*

Chiro walks in and sees Helix on a bed with Feenixfire sitting beside him. She almost didn't want to wake them, but she needed to know what happened to better assess their injuries. "Excuse me, Feenixfire Magnus and Helix, I need you two to wake up." she stated as she gathered materials to clean up and treat the apparent surface wounds.

*Helix blinks and yawns a huge wolfy yawn, he transforms into his wolf robot mode and says.*
Helix: "Just got a few cuts, I'm kind of bleeding from my eye. I need that replacing. That's about it. Mum's bleeding internally, she was shot a few times and cut."
*Feenix raises her head and yawns, remaining in bird mode.+

Chiro nodded and smiled reassuringly. "Alright, we'll get you two cleaned up first and then we'll get to repairing you." She looked at Feenixfire, then back to Helix. "Since your repairs will be quicker, I'll take care of you first, Helix."
Chiro took a clean, slightly damp, cloth and started to gently clean up Helix's wounds on his body of the dirt and energon. Getting a second clean cloth, she very gently cleaned up his face, careful not to aggravate his optic injury. She then handed him a smaller cloth. "Hold this over your eye to help keep the bleeding to a minimum while I gather a few more things." She flipped down her visor and scanned Helix's good eye for the size and composition before going off and getting both a replacement optic that matched and the tools needed for the delicate eye surgery.

*Helix does as he's told and thanks the Doctor. Feenix jumps off her bed to the next one to give her son space now that he was being fixed up.*

((Sorry, not-sorry for the length of this post. This is why I chose to be a medic. I have fun coming up with relatively-reasonable ways of fixing peculiar/challenging problems. )) ((For future reference, I will not simply auto-heal everyone if I can help it. I enjoy RPing healing to get reactions and additional complications mid-heal to mix it up a bit, which is why I wait until someone is online to heal them. But if necessary/requested, I will auto-heal and you will get something like this.)) Chiro knew that technically she should be performing the eye surgery in the surgical ward, but there was no point in moving the young mech now. Besides, this was a relatively minor surgery as compared to some of the other occupants currently in that ward. She came back and instructed Helix to lay down. As he did so, she prepped just enough anesthetic to keep Helix asleep for the duration of the surgery and a little while afterwards. With a small, quick prick, she administered the anesthetic to him and within minutes he was fast asleep. She quickly got to work. Chiro carefully clamped the fluid lines that lead to his damaged optic before transforming her right servo into the smallest scalpel she had, which was perfect for small surgeries like this. Finding the joint just behind the optic, she detached the damaged eye from the joint, fluid lines, and wires and pulled it out with a pair of large tweezers, setting it in a tray on the cart of tools beside her. She then took a small damp cloth and cleaned up the partially dried fluids that clung to the surrounding area in the optic socket. Once she was satisfied the wounded area was clean, she then gently picked up the new optic from it's container and set it in place, carefully placing each line and wire to it's proper place on the new optic. She then heated up the scalpel edge to a low welding temp and used the tip of the blade to gently solder everything back into place. Before she un-clamped the fluid lines, she double checked that everything was securely sealed and attached. She then released the clamps and watched as energon and other vital liquids flowed into the new optic, making sure that everything was working and flowing properly without any leaks. She smiled with satisfaction as the optic began to activate and glow with Helix's normal eye color. Chiro then continued by patching up and repairing the damaged area around his eye, particularly where the claw mark spanned across his eye. She then moved on to taking care of the other minor cuts he had. She knew that it would still take time for his systems to heal and readjust, especially with the new optic. So she would move him to the Recovery Ward after taking care of Feenix. She washed her scalpel before cleaning up her workstation - the cart of tools and supplies - of the dirty cloths and properly stored the damaged optic for later repair or disposal. There was a possibility it could be cleaned and repaired, to be saved as a backup for Helix if something like this happened again, but more likely than not it was not salvageable. She would check later, but for now she turned her attention to Feenixfire. Chiro smiled as she addressed the second-in-command. "Alright, Helix is taken care of and he'll be fine. He just needs a little more rest and to not strain himself too much for the next day or two. If he lets you know of any problems with his eye, bring him back immediately. Now, we need to take care of you." She instructed Feenixfire to lay down and relax. Again, it crossed Chiro's mind about moving her patient to the surgical ward, but it was a bit late now and Chiro doubted that the mother hen wanted to leave her pup any time soon. As the doctor prepped anesthetic for the phoenix, Chiro knew that she needed to apply a little more anesthetic as it would be burned up faster from the femme's firey energy. The last thing Chiro needed was for Feenix to wake up mid surgery. After administering the anesthetic, Feenix was asleep moments later. Chiro needed to work fast. With her visor still flipped down, Chiro proceeded to scan Feenix to locate where the internal damage was. She could see where a few minor energon lines and internals were hit with a handful of large bullets that were lodged in a couple different places, but were grouped mostly in the stomach area. She then proceeded to carefully clean the dirt, energon, and... vommit? Chiro had to guess that it was vommit in reaction to the bullets or something. Nonetheless, Chiro cleaned up Feenix's feathers carefully but quickly. Now was the tricky part. Chiro took a moment to analyze the best point of incision for easy access to the bullets without disrupting nearby internals that were still perfectly intact. Plotting her path, Chiro gently separated the fluff of feathers where she was to make her incision. Again, she transformed her right servo into a scalpel, a bit larger than the previous, and carefully cut along the line that was displayed on her visor. Her blade was supercooled this time to freeze the energon and fluids nearby, preventing unnecessary bleeding. This was a difficult state to keep as the heat generated by the phoenix constantly threatened to melt the frozen energon. Chiro was forced to constantly maintain the supercool blade and occasionally press the flat side against the edges of the incision, as well as the damaged energon lines and internals that lay underneath. She then took a pair of forceps and, one by one, pulled the bullets out and placed them in a bowl on the nearby cart. She then proceeded to gently clean the excess energon and fluids that were partially clotted around the wounds before beginning the next stage of the operation. Chiro made sure that the frozen state of the wound edges would hold long enough for her to use both servos to string a special kind of wire-thread into a small needle. Predacons were different in the fact that they had transorganic organs mixed with normal circuitry, so injuries to these special organs had to be sewn shut and heal on their own, not just replaced and welded back together. However, once properly cleaned and sewn shut, the wounds tended to heal very quickly, as far as Chiro knew anyway. Chiro quickly sewn shut the holes created by the bullets, all the while keeping the energon and fluids from flowing with the supercooled tool until she was done. She put the needle and remaining thread back on the cart and waited a moment to let the energon and fluids thaw, making sure everything was properly sealed and that she didn't somehow miss a spot. Seeing that everything was in order, Chiro sealed up the incision. Chiro quickly took care of the cuts on the femme and then proceeded to quickly clean up her tools and the area. Both patients needed to just rest and recover. Chiro went and got two stretchers and gently but quickly transferred Helix onto one and Feenixfire onto the other. She then carted both of them to the Recovery Ward.

Chiro led Bo to one of the shorter beds. "If you are able to, lay down here and try to keep your left leg outstretched. It'll be easier for me to repair the joint if there's no weight on it." She stood by to help steady him.
