The young mech was a bit disappointed that his grandfather wasn't joining them for watching the movie. He groaned a little, and sat back in his seat while Swerve started everything. At first, it was just something that wasn't too interesting, just some text and such, things he could not read fully himself. That was soon forgotten however, when the actual intro started and stuff started to happen on the screen. Swerve had been right, it was something that fit those of his mental age. The sparkling giggled and laughed at the scenes unfolding, reaching towards the bowl of energon snacks from time to time, grabbing as much as he could each time and dropping half of it on the floor due to the oversized portions. He always watched the screen however, completely immersed in the movie and what was going on. He wouldn't notice anything else for now.

Swerve too, was enticed in the movie and a bit too enthralled into something that he had already seen about a thousand times, so when he heard the doors open and Veeron step away-- he just nodded his helm and shoved another handful of engex cubes into his intake.

Leaning back against the main door that entered secretly from the back of Swerve's quarters into the bar- Ron burned the cigar-like bullet still clenched between his jaws with a strong inhale. The embers left a red halo over his faceplate as he dropped his gaze to the floor. Something ripped down the halls and tore around the corner, a signature tell-tale sign of an approaching racer. Veeron only sighed and took another strong draw on the metal before the doors parted.
The light penetrating in from the hall left the front half of the room lit- but where he stood his opal frame was mysteriously concealed from direct view, despite his biolights brightly projecting his presence to anyone who would enter. One more lithe frame entered with a cautious grace, one he immediately recognized. And there he remained leaning back against the wall, his arms folded, and his leg back to prop himself as if he had been expecting the young mech.
"Eh."
With a grunt the old gladiator plucked the burning metal between his dentures and excvented a massive cloud of black smoky air, blowing it int he direction of the colorful mech's frame.
"Can I help you. You look lost."
He grumbled, putting out the burning embers by smothering it against his massive chassis. Smoothly the mech pulled himself off the wall; had he not have just had a good few drinks and a few huffs to calm his nerves- he might originally come off angry or irritated. Instead now- he just seemed casual and chill while he studying cyan optics looked over the racer, waiting for some battle to come flying at him.

::Affirmative. :: WheelSpin spoke back over the comm. ::We will be cautious here. Why would they attack in the name of the Prime. Wouldn't think Vating went hostile towards his own side...did he?:: He added as he heard the news. Then after a pause. ::Haven't seen him yet. I'd assume he's probably at the base though. See you back here.:: After the last was sent his optics focused on the big bot briefly. His roof wings flared out visibly, while he seemed to grow a few inches, his optics flashing with anger. Here he was after abandoning them back there! The big aft brute that just upped and left them at the worst possible moment. Unlike Stellene he was here alright, but that did not absolve him from what he'd done entirely. SparkflareShadowZone was still at the fortification with some of the autodrones. He could be next, should they turn against him. With that in mind he opened up the comm again sending the information over, about the rogue protectobots and what they've done. Once that was dealt with, his optics once more were fully on the mech that just blew smoke in his direction. "YOU LEFT!" His engine revved loudly. "You fragging LEFT!" He stomped towards the much larger mech and jabbed his foredigit into his chassis or.. as high as he could reach. "You should have been there, HELPING us out!! But you tucked your cables between your legs and ran!! Fancy finding you HERE." He jabbed his digit at him once more. "What the hell were you thinking?!?" His roof wings flared up a bit, making the colourful mech resemble a puffed up angry bird of some sort. An exotic one probably, considering how colourful he was. "I NEEDED you there, WE needed you there!!" He pushed both servos against the big mech as if to push him right back against the wall from which he had been removing himself.

Only a half-step backwards was all the racer would of have been rewarded with as his servos sent a small force when colliding into the tripple-changer’s lower abdomen. The only problem with that, was normally the tall mech was stable and heavy enough that a little shove wouldn't do much… Coupled with the fact that his lenses drooped over his optical lenses only hinted at the fact that the elder gladiator had been, yes---- drinking. As the upgrader continued to snap at him, Ron simply folded his arms over his upper chassis and cast a stern expression back down at him. Once over- his frame leaned once more against the heavy wall of the habsuite.
“Yeah-- I did.” A snort rippled out of his nostril vent. “But you all seemed fine enough when I faded out. Y’all didn't need me.”
Another push off the wall and he simply walked past the racer without a care in the world to turn his back to the mech and stare at the opened doors instead, his opal frame lit up by the hall lights.
“..... in fact, You didn't seem to need me for three centuries.”
A tone of roughness dropped in his vocals.
“I didn't come back from the prison two hundred years early just to surprise you. Let alone have to pretend that I didn't even know who you were.”
He turned to the mech.
“I got a message from Stellene. Stellene- had to inform me that she was leaving, and needed someone to take care of Aqua. Primus knows that I had no idea she meant leaving the Autobots… The Cybertronian guards were allowed leave just in time to come back to this literal hell, and one of our sparklings gets caught in the middle of it. That's why I left you out there. Diamond never came back- Skysprays dead, he couldn't fend for himself locked in someone's quarters; and if we lost Petrex then we can lose Metroplex. I was told to find him, and take him somewhere safe.”
His hardened cyan optics locked with the orange lenses.
“So. Where does this leave us. I just want you to be safe. I made enough for a safe haven on another planet. Come with us off this pithole…”

Even though the sparkling was really into the movie, he couldn't help but notice the shouting and shoving going on outside. It confused him a little. What were they shouting about? The curious little mech crawled over so that he could poke his helm out and take a look at what was going on out there. Nothing threatening, just Grandpa and the color car. Color car was nice, he wasn't much taller than him either! Aqua reached out an arm and waved at them.
Hi color car! We are watching a movie! Grandpa said he would watch too but he is slow. Come watch!

"You've had Highgrade." It sounded rather accusatory. Sure, Veeron went to fetch Aquahaze, but what he did with him after? Clearly not something he should have, if he had chosen to come here and look as though he had a few containers of the class of energon that wouldn't just recharge a bot. He glared at Veeron as the accusations were sent back, which did not help improve his mood. There was something else that had worsened it as well at that moment, though all that betrayed that, was a slight flicker of attention and light in his optics.
"It was safer for both of us. This is war, remember?" And hopefully it would not be for much longer. "So Stellene decided to desert, and you were fine with it?!" He'd half listened to what he said other than, he did bring Aquahaze here and the little one was no longer locked up in some room in some other place, but that raised the question on where he was. Surely Veeron would not have taken the kid right to where he went to drink himself. Right?
His optics shifted from the empty room towards where it looked as if something was off. While not glaringly obvious, it just looked cleaner, not dusty and certainly off. "You've been binging on high grade after you took Aquahaze, a SPARKLING, back to base?!! What, did you loose him somewhere? I don't see him here."
There was another pause when he heard and partially saw the door open and the little one, as if on cue, appear. ::....You took him with you, while you went drinking?!:: He sent over the comm to Veeron. :: He's a sparkling! :: Given he was somewhat bigger than one, actually, compared to him, he was quite big already. An annoying thought that this one would probably be much larger at his final stage.
"Hey." His voice was softer, expression pleasant. "Aqua. Would you like to play a game right now? You can finish watching the movie later." He turned his helm so the younger mech could not see his expression and narrowed his optics on Veeron. "I am taking him out of that high grade hole....And then I'm dealing with you! You better sober up when I am back. Got it?!"
He held his servo out to Aquahaze as if to invite him to follow.

Swerve hadn't continued watching while Aqua departed from the movie-- he hopped down and followed after the sparkling but- at a safe distance seeing as a ruckus of conversation carried on outside the doors. The white and red mech popped his head outside the doors, even after listening to the conversation.
"Hey if it makes you feel any better I don't think he came here to drink his problems away--"

A game? What kind of game?
The sparkling said, now curious about what kind of game they were supposed to play. He hadn't played games in a long while, not since mommy had been back there and now she was gone. She would come home soon though, he knew that. She always did. He looked up at Veeron as to ask him for approval, since he was the one in charge at the moment when mommy was gone, since he was Grandpa. However, his grandpa seemed too busy with something else at the moment, so the sparkling grabbed Wheelspin's outstretched servo, allowing him to lead the mechling away. His cannon twitched a little bit, and his coils crackled happily, sending a small amount of sparks out. He was blissfully unaware of the argument that the adults had had just a few moments ago.

Silence bit back at the throat of the mech as his spark grew so many notches colder while the smaller figure lashed right back at him with a cold whip of words. This turned his mood, though- anger was building when he began taking jabs about bringing him to Swerve’s.
“I brought him here to feed him. I was going to have Swerve watch hi-"
His lenses snapped over to the small voice that piped up from between the door- quickly followed by the older ‘bot. Next, his cyan optics took in the scene of WheelSpin attempted to take off with the sparkling and lecture him as if he was Aqua’s age. A trigger was set off in the ex-gladiator- maybe it was the guardian instinct coming around. The older opal figure brought forth a deep feral rage that extended itself in a momentarily low growl while he took a step forward and completely removed Aqua with a light brush of his arm, out of the picture from holding Wheelspin's servo. Now- completely blocking the sparkling from the upgrader’s view. He stood tall, and folded his arms over his chassis as his paneling over his back stood on end. Veeron looked dark- barely tilting his helm down to the racer.
“And just where did you think you would be taking my grandson, without anyone to watch him?”
It was difficult to control his vocals, but he was completely beyond himself with the fact that not only was the racer now bossing him around-- which he was usually fine with; but removing Aqua from the safest area inside Metroplex and to someplace unknown sent him over the edge.

"A fun game. Well you can choose from a couple when we..." WheelSpin's optics narrowed as the smaller mech was thrust from his grip to be moved behind the larger one. "What's wrong with you?..." He bristled, his own roof wings bristling in irritation, rising up, to add a few inches to a frame that was still far shorter than Veeron's. They turned to fully face him, in a manner that would make him appear broader than he was, another optic illusion.
::You brought him to a bar! You, yourself are drunk on high grade! You consider this responsible in itself?!! You left him with a waiter of the said bar! You've got no right to lecture me on where I'm taking him, which.. quite frankly, any place would be safer than here. And you are assuming that I would leave him unattended, which is a complete fallacy in itself too!:: He sent over the comm, sharply, not to scare the little one, but to still give an earful to Veeron. When he glanced to Aquahaze his expression became kinder, even if he could not exactly see him. "Now, if you are done, will you kindly remove yourself, so that I can bring Aquahaze out of this seedy place to somewhere, where he can both have fun, and be safe and protected, without the danger of the likes of you lumbering around topped up with things you should not drink on duty?" His voice was sweet, purry and pleasant, quite the opposite of the one that had been sent over their private means of communication.
::By all means you could've stepped on him by accident. Really, you ought to be ashamed of yourself!:: Was another jab, sent via the comm, while he held out his servo for the little one to come around and take and follow again.

The young mech was confused to say the least. One moment they were doing something, and then they weren't. He got no real explanation as to why either. He did however want to play game, especially if it was a fun one. He tugged a little on Veeron's leg, to get his attention, looking up at him with his yellow optics.
I wanna play games, Grandpa.. Pleeeeeeeeeease?
Aquahaze pleaded, aware that he was the one deciding. However, he also knew his new alternative mode was faster than him, so he could outrun him if that was the case. He could be mischievous too, it was in his nature as a sparkling after all.

“Is this how you are going to talk to me? Belittle me?” The towering figure let that sentence fall from his dermas so coldly that it made a chill in the air.
From the door, Swerve sank back into the bar to avoid the awkwardness of the situation.
“I am ashamed of myself- Ashamed that I ever decided to come back to Cybertron.”
Despite Aquahaze being all he felt he had left--- he let it all slip. He felt defeated and internally battling a war his processor was quickly losing as his thoughts threatened to break down his stoic veil. His lenses flickered to Aqua who pushed through in the conversation and stole his attention for a moment.
“Aquahaze is all that is left.” His voice cracked in the sentence, but the recent turn or events made him firmly grounded once more. “You will tell me where you are taking him, who he is visiting, and the purpose for him being there. He will be returned before sun down. And he Will Not be leaving this base without me..” Cold optics pinned Wheelspin to where he stood, no longer did they appear calm and relaxed. Nothing about him was any longer warm and inviting. “Do I make myself clear?” His sharper canine-like dentures flashed in his last sentence, a silent threat flickering in those words.

"I .... No. Veeron. I'm not belittling you. I'm just angry with you." He said defensively. There was a flicker of the light in his optics at Veeron's words, though his roof wings did not lower, still trying to make him appear larger than he was. His gaze hardened a little and then softened.
"Veer. We are just going out for a drive. Have him stretch his frame a bit out in the open. Have some fun, nice, good and safe fun. Didn't you say it yourself that he was cooped up indoors in a room. That's not healthy for a frame that requires movement." He indicated Aquahaze. "I know. I'm a racer. Remember. In the meanwhile you can cool off, sober up and if you really want, follow us."
He shook his helm taking a step back. The cold gaze had felt unnerving, no matter how much he could play the cocky little racer, who feared nothing. Those canines could inflict damage and those fists could crush his beautiful frame. He was keeping his distance. " Why do you worry so much? You act like something bad is going to happen to him. Seriously. I .. know you care about him and HE is all that you have left. But I'm not going to hurt him. I have no reason to."
He looked at Aquahaze again then Veeron. "So, may we go out, so he can have a little bit of fun, before he ends up all cooped up in here once more till the end of the war? Please?"

He thought-- long and hard, his gaze still locker on the racer but after he was finished talking it was as if a calming wave had swept over the tall gladiator. He relaxed immediately, his casual slouch returning and he took a step aside to allow Aquahaze a gap to run at the racer.
"...Fine." He grumbled. "As long as you stay close to the base... I guess it's better if both of you run off that energy." The opal figure turned back in the direction where the minibot had run off, only pausing to cast one more thing over his shoulder before they left.
"...But Wheelspin. I'd like to... talk with you privately, when you get the chance..."
He slipped back in to relax... maybe even finish watching that movie with Swerve.

The sparkling looked up at his grandfather with a big smile as he was finally allowed to go outside and play. He wasn't worried about it, he had the color car with him, he was nice. The coils crackled again, displaying a small light show before calming down again as the immediate excitement wore off. He turned to Wheelspin as the larger mech left them and went back to Swerve. Aquahaze then skipped across the gap over to Wheelspin, his optics happily analyzing his facial features.
We can play games now! What are we gonna play? Where are we going?

"We will. I'll comm you." WheelSpin promised before he took the little mechling out of the room. He smiled down at him. "Ok, this is important right now. You need to stick with me , once we are outside, you follow me and when we play, you will remain close. Yeah? I don't want you to get hurt." He lead them towards the exit of the base, as he had said he would and there he transformed, waiting for the little one to do the same before he would take off, at a much slower speed to have the little one be able to keep up.

The sparkling happily followed Wheelspin out of the bar, nodding at his words. He understood what was said, at least he thought so. Due to his young age, he wasn't exactly comfortable with transforming, so it took a little while before Aquahaze finally transfomred into his tiny hovercraft mode, hovering a few feet off the ground behind Wheelspin, following the older mech out. He wsa excited to see what would happen next, what they would play now.
