Skyflare took the disc before he paused. He only had one hand to do this with.
"I need you to be my other hand. There's a panel on my wrist you need to open. Connect the cable to the disc and turn it on."

An Autobot shuttle flew over the entrance to a cave and came to a landing. If the people inside were close enough to the exit, they would be able hear the engines quite loudly. Vatimus climbed off of the shuttle and walked up to the entrance. MethuselahThe Inventor

Synum happily did it, unaware of the events that were about to occur. Extrius never moved so fast, the giant lumbered over to the cave, having heard something loud that surely no one else would miss. He waited for something to happen. ”Synum! Hide yourself!” He roared up at them, knowing very well that whoever was outside was going to explore the tunnels, and eventually find them, and there was no escape.

Vatimus' pistol still looked and felt awkward in Correlator's arms, but the mismatched sizes didn't seem to bother the scientist. The entire flight Correlator had done two things: clutch to the pistol firmly in both arms, and rattle on about the inventions he'd make in his new lab. His next project was apparently to be devices called 'magno-repulsors.' Behind all the technobabble he spewed about the technology behind how they'd work, Vatimus would have easily been able to understand the invention to be, in essence, the opposite of a magno-clamp. If Correlator had stopped to listen to himself, he might have found it amusing that Methuselah could understand almost as much of that conversation as Vatimus did. Silence fell as the Autotroopers informed the group they were nearing their destination. It lasted only a short while, thanks to Correlator, but when he began chatting again after they landed it was regarding information pertinent to their mission. "So, all I heard was something about deserters, and a building." He continued as Vatimus left the drop-ship, following close behind at a half-skip to keep up with the larger bot. "Or maybe it was deserters in a building. Though that wouldn't make much sense now, since we're staring down the mouth of a big, ominous cave... alright, I don't suppose it matters how the building factors in. But somehow WheelSpin was involved, and you're mad at him." He looked up to the Prime, shifting to hold the pistol more comfortably in his grasp. "I guess what I'm trying to ask in a roundabout sort of way is- what are we doing here?" Vatimus Prime, Methuselah

Methuselah glared from behind his mask. He didn’t like going into such territory. Going into a bottleneck was a terrible idea. Turning to Vatimus, he did his job: advise. At this point they’d developed a method of communicating tactics, especially through a mapping program an engineer had whipped up. It allowed him to place symbols representing units on a map Methuselah could either get from databases or draw himself. Methuselah drew this one. On the map, the advice was as follows: Keep the majority of Tripp’s outside to cover an escape, and a small detachment to go in with them. Methuselah has no idea, of course, what exactly awaited them, which might sway his judgement. But he old mech knew that if Vatimus made an adjustment to the plan or denied it it was because Vatimus knew something he couldn’t or did not feel necessary to communicate.

Skyflare ripped himself away from the disc, yanking the cable from the disc. "Hide deeper in the ship. Some of the lower levels are still intact."
He jumped down to the floor, body tense as he his legs jolted slightly. He quickly grabbed an empty holodisc, downloading the blueprints for the beast forms before shutting off the table. "Shut her down!"
The flyer began shutting off anything that emitted light on the ship.
At the sounds of engines, Backdraft pulled his rifle out of view with fear in his optics.
"Let's hope the emergency defenses still work."
He sent out a comm in the general vicinity of the ship.
::Synum, comm me when you're hidden so I can lock down the inner ship.::
After his brothers order, he turned back towards the cave and shot the power box near the entrance, deactivating the flood lights illuminating the cavern housing the Stardust.

A young recruit walked out of the ship, following behind Vatimus Prime Methuselah and The Inventor . He was glad to be off of the ship and to walk outside for a bit, that guy named Correlator bored him too death about all of his inventions he will make, though he wouldn't be unhappy at all if the inventor gave him a super powerful weapon that he could invent. This was his first mission that he got to take part in, and he was going to make sure he doesn't screw it up. "Any idea what we will encounter in there? I've got a feeling that there's something in there..." Hornet said from the back of the group, not knowing what they will encounter, since he wasn't told really anything. All that he was told was that they were going somewhere and he can come with them. Looking around, the young bot studied his surroundings, as if an ambush was right around the corner. 'My first mission, and I get to accompany Vatimus Prime! I need to prove myself to him, somehow...' Hornet thought to himself as they walked on.

Vatimus didn't even noticed Hornet board the dropship. Kid must've gotten on the wrong one... Well then. He gave a nod to Correlator, happy to listen to the delightful little mech's bantering. Once he started asking what was completely going on, Vatimus was happy to respond. "Wheelspin ran some Autobots off, listed them as deserters, got himself demoted as a result. We're here to try and remedy it."
He then turned to Methuselah and made a few motions in response, making it clear that they weren't gonna worry about battle too much, but to be ready.
Lastly, he turned to the kid who got on the wrong dropship and gave him a smile, "We're going to be encountering some deserters, though we aren't going to be shooting them unless needed. If you were expecting a fight, you got on the wrong dropship since it was supposed to be private. Oh well, welcome to your temporary position in the squad, prepare for peaceful engagements."

"Sounds like typical WheelSpin," he bluffed in agreement. (He did not, in fact, know what WheelSpin typically sounded like.) Vatimus' tone of distaste for the bot's actions was easy enough to hear. At any rate, it wasn't likely Correlator would be forgetting WheelSpin after this mission. After being told the short tale of why these deserters deserted, the bot gazed sorrowfully at Vatimus' pistol in his hands. With a look of lament in his eyes, he reached out in an offer to return the weapon to the Prime. "It was a nice gesture," he began explaining, "but if a superior officer was the reason these Autobots left in the first place, then I doubt another one shoving a nozzle in their faces is going to make a very convincing argument for them to come back." Now disarmed, Correlator took it upon himself to be the first to enter the deep, dark tunnel. Maybe not the smartest or safest choice for the scientist to go first, but he didn't get out much, so he didn't know the difference. He turned up his biolights to light the way; it was time to go charm some deserters. Vatimus Prime, Methuselah, Hornet

Methuselah nodded, and removed his mask, his beard unfurling to his waist. He hadn’t cut it for ceremonial purposes. He suddenly seemed far less intimidating, more like a fossil than a warrior. It might stun Correlator and the rookie, he didn’t seem as ancient as he was with the mask on. Methuselah clapped his hands together, igniting the flag that any deserter had likely already seen, but this time with a blue tint. A peaceful color, it should both illuminate the cave and show that they were in peace. It could also end up scaring them if they didn’t get the message. A 50/50 chance.[/b]

Skyflare limped his way towards the entrance before being stopped by his brother.
"Your too damaged to fight."
"I have as much right to defend the Stardust as you."
"I'm not talking about rights, I'm talking about survival."
"I have my ways."
Backdraft sighed and shoved them back out of sight.

Synum was about to follow Extrius’s orders, but stopped when the wounded mech approached them.”Skyflare no! Please, you’re hurt and in no condition to even stand up! Let me a least try to fix you...” The little femme begged, running up yo him and trying to pull him back, nothing but worry in her big optics. The dragon mech simply snarled down at her, ”If he wishes to die for his home then let him, but I will not allow you to get hurt simply because you want to help!” his tail moved to harshly push her back, being sure not to cut her with his blade.

Hornet continued walking with the group as Vatimus started talking. Once he learned that this was supposed to be a private event, he mentally facepalmed himself. "Ah, I didn't know what. One of the bots just told me I was supposed to come, which I happily obliged." Hornet said with a slight grin, before adding "Though, that bot has been known to be a jokester and a prankster, or perhaps he was mistaken. I'll be sure to clear things up once we get back, boss." 'That lying bot!' He thought to himself as they walked towards the entrance. "I do like a good fight, but I guess some things can be settled without the use of force, but I'm well prepared, just in case." He said, looking up at Vatmius with a grin once more. "You never know, this mission might go so well, we might become a permanent squad."

Vatimus let out a chuckle from Hornet's comment as he followed Correlator in. He saw Methuselah's blue flames and was once again, glad to have the old mech around. He put away his weaponry for now as he marched onward. As Hornet finished speaking, he couldn't help but let out a second chuckle to the kid, "I wouldn't count on it, but you can try if you want."

Methuselah’s flag made the cave seem as bright as the sun-pelted ground outside. If anyone was hiding within line of sight, it wouldn’t be long until they were found. Methuselah made a loud noice that sounded somewhat like a friendly greeting, but his raspy, aged voice made it sound less friendly. Of course, it might sound like someone’s grandfather which would make it more friendly. It seemed like everything Methuselah did was a 50/50 chance. Maybe he intended that way. Maybe he was unlucky. Hard to tell with the old mech.

The tunnel would go on for several twists and turns, going deeper and deeper until they entered an open area the twins had dubbed the graveyard, as it was full of casualties of the tectonic shifting.
If they could stomach the gruesome sight, they would eventually enter the massive cavern housing the Stardust. Though, due to the shut off flood lights, it would be barely visible, if at all.
"I can't lose you too, Synum. Hide. Please."

Synum was left a little shocked from Extrius's actions, but listened to the two and sulked away nearby. There was no way she was standing down in the case of a fight, not anymore. The giant of a beast hissed softly as he could hear something, "Been a while since I've fought any battles, let's see if I still have my touch."

Hornet followed the other bots inside, unable to see much of what was ahead of them, due to two of the other three bots were remarkably taller than himself. Sticking close, he walked through the tunnel, wishing that he could hold a weapon right now, he always felt safer that way. But Vatimus said that there is no danger ahead of them, and he can't be wrong, can he? "Do you guys know the way of where we are going, or are we blindly walking into a dark maze of tunnels with limited lighting?" He asked as they passed by a few tunnels that branched off from the main one. "Not that I don't trust your sense of direction and your ability to navigate, of course."

"Ah, right," he said to himself as he saw Methuselah provide the group with a light brighter than his own. He fell back to share the light with the rest of the group, but stayed at the front of the pack.
"Oh yeah," he began to answer Hornet's (likely rhetorical) question, "we're blindly walking into a dark maze of tunnels with no lighting. I actually have no idea where we are right now." A quick wink suggested he was joking, though he honestly didn't know where he was going. Yet, somehow his conversation carried the group through multiple twisted, maze-like tunnels until they grew very near their destination- unbeknownst to them. "Wow, talk about a deep cavern, huh? It's a good thing I'm not claustrophobic. How about you- er, what was your name again?" he asked Hornet, turning to glance back at them while he continued walking forward. As he haplessly missed the dead bodies scattered around the floor of the large room the group had entered moments before, lost in conversation. "How do you feel about small spaces? I used to be claustrophobic, myself, but I got over it. Funny story, actually. It happened when I was-" he continued for some time explaining the story of how he overcame his claustrophobia, offering little opportunity for anyone else in the group to chime in while he spoke. If any of the others had tried drawing his attention to the dead of the graveyard, it wouldn't have reached him, and before long they were in the cavern with the Stardust- assuming the rest of the group had kept pace with the scientist.
Still oblivious to his surroundings, he had started on a new topic without missing a beat. Not long into his tangent, when suddenly- *clang!* Correlator's story was cut short when he walked face-first into the wall at the end of the room. When he did, the impact was loud, echoing unusually loud through the chamber...
