The personal chambers of the current Supreme Commander of the Decepticon army where located within the inner sanctum of Darkmount. A position that was heavily fortified, being neither near the ground floor nor high enough that it could be easily attacked by an enemy bombardment. Which would instead require the base to be infiltrated with the enemy forces passing through numerous defenses including the armoured patrols such as Ailnoth's personal guard who could often be found guarding the floor upon which his chambers resided. Aside which a number of other high ranking Decepticons quarters where also located. With Ailnoth's being situated within the center of the level.
Which allowed the room to take up significantly more space than many of the other quarters, as multiple pathways led to the room it had been divided up into different sections including a meeting room where Ailnoth current resided. The room itself was grand and surprisingly modern considering Ailnoth's own preferences, as although the room was the one most visitors would enter it was also not a room he considered designed for his own personal tastes. It was for those meetings where the publicity of the central throne room would be detrimental, but at the same time not specifically for the purpose of a war meeting. As such the room resembled a upperclass Cybertronian's lounge during the finest period of the golden age, if one ignored the lack of a stunning skyline which the easily defended position had sacrificed.
Among a few other details, such as the break table in the center of the lounge which was significantly less elegant than the rest of the room and bulky in a way that stood out in a setting filled with delicate glass figures, and holo emitters detailing wonderful pieces of Cybertronian art long lost. In fact it didn't even match with the couches which seemed almost flimsy in contrast to the central furniture which wouldn't take much effort to be used as a functional shield. Which was in truth the only reason, Ailnoth had kept the fixture which had more in common with the blast doors which blocked off the Decepticon Lord's own recharging station.

BackTrack had been here before, checking on patients of higher rank that did not wish to come into the medbay like the rest of them. He recognised some of the doors that would lead into this room or that as they neared the center. It was not hard to guess who resided there. The elite guard was enough of a giveaway, its strategic location and the fact it took more space than the others, just finished it off. He waited as they approached the guard and were cleared to enter. Such measures were necessary in a faction where so many strived to become the next leader, to have power and control over the others. He smiled at the guard even if he did not expect a reaction. He was pleased to be allowed to see their Lord. Once entering the meeting room his optics skimmed across its details The large break table caught his attention first, mostly as it seemed not to willingly melt into the environment in which it had been placed. It was not elegant, not as impressive and yet quite bold, as if letting those who entered know that this place had a purpose other than to impress whoever entered. Oh, he could have found enjoyment in having such a room himself, to recline on one of the couches, admire the long forgotten art and the like. Perhaps some day in the future, when the war was done and he would find himself a decent place to live while he continued his practice of making old memories go away. He reasoned that then he would have more than enough of work to do on those who wished to forget the war and all that it had made them loose. A lucrative business that would simply have them keep on coming. He tilted his helm briefly in search of their leader, whom he had come to see. "Greetings." He spoke, his voice carrying a calming tone, the frequency pleasant to the audial. "You have summoned me." ailnoth

The large and dark figure which was Tarn had made it through Darkmount, passed innumerable decepticons and had finally reached the desired location. He knew he had his own quarters not too far away from where he was, although he rarely used it. Not enough time when you were always on the hunt. He greeted the guards outside with a nod and a slight wave, even they should know that when Tarn was coming, something was of uttermost importance. He wasted no time before proceeding inside, letting the noise from the outside stop once the doors shut behind him. At first he thought he was alone, but he swiftly discovered that he was wrong. Someone else was there too.
Tarn stopped in his tracks, this wasn't exactly what he had planned. The requests and information he was about to give didn't hold any classified information however, so he assumed he could still voice his concerns to his leader. "BackTrack. I wasn't expecting to see you here. Well then, you may stay." Tarn said chillingly as he approached the smaller mech. Ailnoth wasn't anywhere to be seen yet, but he was around here somewhere. Large mechs such as him had a hard time hiding and anyone would have a hard time hiding from him. He moved his hand up to his mask again, feeling the scar that had been left there. The medic would take care of that later, he hoped. Otherwise he might have to do some... persuasive actions.
He made his way further in, dismissing the medic as he wasn't important to him as of now. It was more important that the information he had went through. "Ailnoth, our forces are ready for the assault, and I'd advice we do it quickly. A target was hiding in the Sea of Rust in an autobot encampment, one that I dealt with to the extent of my abilities. They will spend some time rebuilding it and tending to their wounds, leaving them more vulnerable where it matters. Also, I require a larger vessel. Traitors are appearing in places where my current one can't reach, which is, as you might know, unacceptable. I would be most grateful if you could get me one which I can use to further keep the decepticon Cause from being diminished and dismantled by deserters."

Outside of the room, in the hallway leading to the Decepticon leader's chambers, walked Backbeat and NeVor. Backbeat seemed to have freshly repaired and restored armor. NeVor held her datapad tapping away on it as the walked. Behind them where two Vehicons carrying a large metal chest.
"Our friend from the Dark Nebula called. Apparently he's found that Lunartixian artifact you wanted. Also, Lord Kledji of the Quintesson Royal Family sends his thanks for those Skuxxoid mercenaries we put him in contact with. "
'Tell him it was nothing... I still owed him for those Galactic Games tickets. Has he RSVPied yet? '
NeVor checks her datapad. She looks up and smiles.
" Yes he has. Although he's requesting not to be seated next to you know who. "
Backbeat sighs as they approach the guarded door.
' Yeah yeah... I remember what happened last time... We'll need to go over seating arrangements later. '
He waves at a guard.
' Tell Ailnoth we're here to give our report. '
The guard nods and enters the room.
Backbeat and NeVor to see you my lord. The come to report to you.

The arrival of Hailgen, and by extension the doctor he intended to trial was expected. They'd been called for and like many of those loyal to the cause, they'd replied eagerly. A positive trait considering how many would drag their feet demanding better treatment or the expectation of rewards for the services they provided. On this occasion, though it would appear that the two were professional enough, or simply of a disposition that such actions looked unlikely to occur. Not that Ailnoth expected such from one of his most loyal subjects or the mech, Hailgen had chosen to reveal the secrets of his lord health too.
Before Ailnoth could step out of the shadowed alcove from where he was resting though, Tarn arrived. An unpleasant yet not entirely unexpected event as the current, and notably only member of the Decepticon Justice Division had appeared in his office a number of times for one reason or another. Although more often than not to request supplies or assistance in his mission to uphold the cause. A job which on most occasions, Ailnoth was more than willing to assist with.
This time though Tarn's words were sharp, offering suggestions even as the message could be perceived as an order to a lesser. Which in his current position could never be accepted by the Decepticon Commander, as to do so would be to lose all respect and soon after their position if not outright their life. With Backtrack there as a witness, such an arrival needed to be treated accordingly, neither relenting which would only weaken his position or resist so far that pettiness overcame logic.
Stepping out of the alcove, with silent steps mastered over decades of hunting and being hunted by the predators of Candor Stix, Ailnoth appeared with his piercing purple optics staring across the room to meet Tarn. With only a grim expression on his face providing a glimpse at his current mood before he began to speak with a grave sincerity "I am well aware of the current status of our troops, Tarn. Sadly more so than most considering the amount of mech's, I send out to die on a daily basis. We are close to ready, in that regard you are correct our men would most likely be capable of proceeding with our plans as of now. At this moment though victory is not assured, and until I am willing to make such a risk we shall not attack till our conquest is a certainty."
With another step further into the room, Ailnoth was in front of the meeting table which allowed him to reach out as his digits brushed gently over the polished surface. "Do not worry though, you will not have to wait long before the front lines become a bloody battlefield. The time for testing our enemy shall be over soon."
Catching his optics from the edge of his vision, Ailnoth spotted the guard entering the room just before he spoke. "Backbeat and NeVor to see you my lord. The come to report to you."
In response, Ailnoth nodded allowing the guard to bring them in as the grand commander turned his sight to Tarn for what would be his last words to the mech before he dealt with the new arrivals. "As for your ship, we have many objectives that require resources. Perhaps you will spend this upcoming debriefing, considering why you, a single mech, require the resource of a new vessel rather than allowing it to be put to use by others."
Just as he finished speaking, Backbeat and Nevor arrived. Together as was usual of the two.
"Report"
---
Aside Backtrack, Hailgen remained largely silent on the journey to Ailnoth's personal chambers and had only continued to remained so during the confrontations. Only speaking once to inform Backtrack that silence would be the safest and most appreciated course of action until the newcomers were dealt with.

BackTrack had waited for the lord to make himself present when the large Decepticon of the famed Justice division entered the room. He inclined his helm to acknowledge his presence and greet him while his optics halted briefly on the visible damage. His focus was soon at inspecting the frame for any further damage and assessing it to how serious or bad it was, and how much time it may need to be repaired.
When two more entered he remained silent aware that the Lord had work to attend to and that he would be told, once it was his turn to approach him. Standing stoic, he busied himself instead with the study of each of the frames, seeking out any indications of something that might need his attention. It was almost as if he was working even when he was simply there, like a piece of the furniture that made the room more grand.
He did not pay attention to what they spoke of, knowing that it was not his business to know. He would have left, had Hailgen not remained and only told him to be silent as that was the best course of action for the moment. He nodded to him only to show that he understood and would do so.

' Oh we've got interesting news... '
Backbeat steps forward, giving a bit of dramatic flair as he steps forward as he bows much like a stage performer.
' I've sold off most of the captured art our other fleets acquired... And after my usual commission, we've reinvested the funds into weapons and supplies. In fact, I was able get us a deal with the Warsmiths of Ganzvort for a full order of Ionic displacer rifles in change for a few of said artwork. NeVor? '
NeVor steps forward, her face carried a calm demeanor. With a flick of her wrist she creates a holographic screen in front of her. It displayed graphs and charts pertaining to energon consumption.
" Simply put... Cybertron is turning into a money pit. Even with the current recovery rate of the planet, we've had to turn to resupply from Decepticon raiding parties. While sustainable, I believe we can improve our supply situation. But first we have a gift. "
Backbeat motions and two Vehicons bring in a large box and open in. Backbeat slowly and carefully pulls out a rifle from the box and hands it to Ailnoth. He steps back with a smug look on his mask.
' Ionic displacer rifles, like I said... We've got more on the Faithless Looter. But isn't this a beauty? A battalion with these could do some damage. What do you think boss? '

Finally their leader arrived, rising tall above all of them. Tarn saw him as sort of an equal. Sure, Ailnoth had command over the decepticon forces, but Tarn didn't operate within the normal boundaries. He just went after whoever was on the list, be it a lowly grunt or a high ranking officer. He wasn't liked, he didn't have to be. His job wasn't to be liked, that wasn't what he was known for. He listened closely to what the larger mech said. He was a little dissapointed in the Lord's decision to withhold an attack, that would give the bots more time to regroup and be able to mount a counter attack. "Then it will be up to you to create such an opportunity. I am not a front-line warrior, Ailnoth. I have no desire to see more energon spilled, I won't be there to see it."
Tarn then paused for a moment before continuing, not having finished his point yet. It was obvious that the leader didn't understand their need. "As for those 'projects', they are important but so is this. I am working on recruiting more, suitable, members to the DJD, and we will need the ship. I just told you that my current vessel doesn't meet the requirements where I can function to my maximal potential. The DJD needs to function, Ailnoth, I hope you can see that. If you change your mind, you know where to find me." The black mech finished his statement and request as the new arrivals, Backbeat and NeVor, came in. It turned out to be quite the gathering in here, not what he had expected. He had no plans for staying any longer though. He saw no use in being around others for too long.
His energon levels were starting to get dangerously low again, he needed to refuel. Pulling out the last energon injector from its compartment, he insterted it into his arm. He felt the energon flow through his frame once more, he felt his strength returning. He moved towards the door stopping by the medic before walking away again. "I'll be waiting for you in the medbay." After that, the door opened for him and the leader of the DJD was once more gone.

The response of Tarn was rather disappointing, even if expected from one such as him. His position after all was ultimately important and one that couldn't be ignored for long or else be called out for hindering a group that's sole purpose was discouraging traitors and punishing those foolish enough to do so. To act against such a sub-faction would be the equivalent of branding deserters and betrayers as acceptable, something which Ailnoth himself would never allow.
Perhaps if he was dealing with another mech, Ailnoth might have even conceded allowing the DJD to operate at what their leader considered maximum efficiency. In the current state of things though, the new Tarn's attitude without any real credit to support him only allowed minute concessions, and even then such had to be that Ailnoth and the Decepticons in large would benefit from regardless. To do otherwise would be to herald a weakness which would call upon those sharks that existed within his faction. Which left Tarn's request (so close to a demand) to meet him in the medbay as one that would need to be denied. Which left the prankster to deal with as Ailnoth turned his attention to Backbeat and allowed the mech to speak.
Behind his battlemask, Ailnoth allowed himself a lightly amused smile at the jesters showmanship. His display was amusing after all, even if not particularly necessary to most people. The files on Backbeat though had made it quite clear how important the ability to preform was to his psychology. Their was nothing to gain from forcing the mech into the mold of a serious warrior, twisted as it was his mind would never sustain even a whispers of intelligence if he was forced into such a confining mindset. All that route would lead to would be failure, either when the restraints snapped and his insanity was unleashed without restraint or as he stumbled around a lobotomized frame only useful as canon-fodder.
No such a path would be a waste, as Backbeat's attempts to supply his forces proved. A brainless mech wouldn't be able to form such connections that where cutting down on the strain of their current supply lines. In that the mech deserved to be commended, although when Ailnoth remembered that the same mech had been tasked with delaying the Autobot advance as his sole priority, the Decepticon commander withheld such congradulations Only time would tell whether the jesters decision had been as beneficial as delaying the Autobot's would have been.
The reaction to his actions would have to be decided on later though, the knight decided as he accepted Backbeat's gift and allowed the weapon to settle between his servos. An action that did little to help the mech decide the worth of such a weapon, as he twisted it around while his optics visibly criticized the gun even as his thoughts drifted to the irony of his actions. To even the most oblivious, Ailnoth was a swordsman at spark and such dedication to his skills had left him rather inexperienced with the way of such technology as he currently welded. It was a gun and without a demonstration of it's use in battle one he himself could not truly rate. Still a gift should be accepted graciously as Ailnoth lowered it softly onto the table placing it in such a way that the weapon didn't move when he stepped away from it.
"I am sure, many of those who find themselves in the possession of these tools while be grateful to you, Backbeat."
With that stated, Ailnoth's head tilted to the side catching the attention of his physician Hailgen who responded with a subtle shake of his head and a hand signal that possessed no resemblance to those used by standard Cybertronians.
"It would appear however that both you and Tarn's arrival has delayed some plans, and such time cannot be spared any longer. I have business in Esserlon as you should already be aware of by now if you've been keeping up with high command briefings. Our schedule for Petrex should proceed shortly, I would find myself appreciative if a battalion found itself possessing the weapons you have gifted me. Another time perhaps."
With that, Ailnoth left giving Backtrack only a regretful nod as time demanded his presence elsewhere. His heavy footsteps echoed across the base as he made his way to the hangerbay where a shuttle was already prepped for departure and shortly afterwards was already leaving for Esserlon on the border of the Rust Sea.

Backbeat chuckles and snaps his fingers creating a warp in front of him and NeVor. NeVor extends her hand to Backbeat.
' Well... We're ready... Let's go have some fun... '
NeVor grins.
" We shall have to stop in on... Him. To collect your newest prize. "

BackTrack remained privy to the conversation even if, standing there at attention he had perhaps become as part of the furniture, an ornament that was present, but would barely be noticed by those within it. He was startled when the large hulking frame belonging to Tarn paused briefly close to where he stood. While his optics scanned the damage on his mask, the other spoke. With a curt nod to answer the request, the medic and mnemosurgeon confirmed that he was going to meet him there as soon as his services at the side of their leader were no longer needed.
Then Tarn left and the two mechs continued their conversation for a short while longer. He did not follow it too much, part out of respect, part because it did not concern him. His leader had trusted him enough to have him remain here while business was discussed, and he did not intend to betray that trust. With a small exvent he watched the leader go. He understood. While his summon had ended in merely coming, waiting and leaving, he made no indication of finding it tedious or a problem. It was his lord's wish for him to do so. That was all that mattered.
With a small bow, he turned to leave as well. They knew that as soon as Ailnoth would need his services again all they needed to do was come and fetch him.
With that he left the personal chambers as well.
