Occupation : Doctor, frame repair specialist, mnemosurgeon.
Personality : Pleasant and obedient. He strives to please the leader. However his loyalty lies to the leader as a title rather than a specific mech. While he will not plot against them, and he will do anything within his power to protect them, once usurped, his loyalty would change as well. He is a relatively calm, aloof and easygoing mech. He enjoys a good high grade, he does what is needed to be done and looks at it simply as a job. He does not trust easily . He listens, a lot, but is careful at what he says. As far as courage goes, he believes that sometimes danger must be faced for the sake of the cause and his side. As a field medic he does not shy from danger, and will go in to get an injured out of the fray and back to safety. He might be fiercely defensive of his patients, but only as long as they are patients. The moment they become just fellow soldiers, he expects them to be able to take care of themselves. As a mnemosurgeon he is rather proud of his skill, and sometimes injects also for 'fun' rather than work. He calls it 'honing his skills'. He can be a little bossy towards his patients, but it's all in the best interest for their quick recovery, surely.

Features:
- List item 1 : Mnemosurgeon's injecting needles are found in the digits of both servos, however he predominantly uses one servo over the other. They are high quality and barely leave a mark (that would be possible to see under the right light), when injecting.
- List item 2 : Turbines that allow him to hover vertically, both in alt or base form. They are reinforced to carry greater weight, intended for the heavier and larger patients that he might need to move.
The glass canopy of his jet form takes much of his chassis area, while his main wings are situated on his back, his secondaries on his arms. They are both capable of movement and can fold back if needed to keep out of the way. A set of large turbines can be found on his back, secondary smaller thrusters on his main wings, and tertiary, also smaller, at the back of his lower legs. Large intakes are found on his shoulders, partially protected with a grill. His helm is equipped with a visor, that can slide down, and provides scanned data of the patient he is working on. To fully protect himself, a facemask can be slid over his faceplates. There are usually no weapons visible, while his markings on his main intakes mark him for the medic profession. The plating around his neck is somewhat raised, and protects both helm and neck cabling. It opens up slightly at the front, but covers over secondary armour there. This allows for mobility and not as badly hindered field of vision. He has a mounted camera (it's shape conceals it for what it is) on the back between his main wings. This serves as a second pair of optics enabling him to not get 'jumped from the back'.
Alternative Mode:
Cybertronian jet with larger turbines. Has a set of main and secondary wings that are usually pressed together to form one wing, but can be separated if needed to provide greater maneuverability and 'bee style' flying. The canopy is made out of see through glass like material that is reinforced. Large intakes are situated in this form under the wings closer to the main body followed of course by the large main turbines. The smaller thrusters are on his main wings and are capable of movement to adjust angle of flight. Tertiary thrusters are situated closer to the back, serving the same. They assist with the unusual flight style or when he needs to lift heavier loads while in alt form.

Equipment and Abilities
Weaponry :
Description:
Neutron Assault Rifle: Generally strapped to his back. Used in defence or lent to someone else to use it in defence of them both, should they run out of ammo. A preferred choice because of its easy maintenance. (not always carried by him. Usually he alternates between this one and the canister rifle and sometimes he will leave both at base)
Canister rifle: Used to dart unruly patients. Because there is no better way, especially if said patient is an insecticon or a predacon and they are having a temper tantrum. Maybe in the future he could choose to fill a dart or two with a virus or poison. But for now his focus is to make sure his own side is capable of fighting.
EM Repeater sidearm: This is the only firing weapon that will be at his side always and everywhere. It is meant for his personal protection and used in close quarters. (stats from the weapon's list apply to this and the other two weapons).
Neutralisation Staff/baton: It delivers high voltage shock for a short time (at the touch/strike), enough to zap and drop up to medium sized mechs/femmes. It is stored at BackTrack's hip plate. Used on particularly problematic patients. When the shock is delivered the body will slump and for some it might mean that they'll be momentarily unable to move, but still be aware of what's going on, just not feel it. If it is delivered to stronger and bigger bots it will cause a momentary disruption in the transmission of signals, in other words, the limbs will not fully obey, they will twitch, jerk, and the weapons will loose the ability to aim well. Some of the smaller calibres can even be momentarily neutralized. The staff can be used 5 times in succession before it needs to be recharged (recharge time is 3 turns). The last time before recharge, the shock will be weakened and have the effect of 'twitch/jerk/loss of control' also on medium sized bots. It is called a staff because it can be lengthened from the 'baton' length to the proper pole – about 25feet length. The top five feet are the ones that deliver the shock, the most intense being the very top. The rest can withstand blows from energon type and other bladed weapons and some blasts of standard calibre.
Gadgets :
Data visor: Used for the scanning and identification of ailments on patients, also protects optics from pyhsical damage and light flash attacks. Can slide down. Can be switched to night vision, heat vision and energy signature options. It's default setting is just a literal 'pair of sunglasses' type.
Mnemosurgeon's digit needles – As said before, they are top of the line and serve the purpose of mnemosurgery. They are generally prefered as they allow easy access into one's mind. Generally used to control or alter emotions as well, or to help with eradication of specific 'bad' memories. While using the needles he is more of a 'ghost' in someone's mind, where as the cortic patch cable allows for a more physical rendition of his presence.
Cortic patch cable: For a more prolonged invasion of someone's mind especially when the mind has to be altered or explored for data in an extensive way, BackTrack uses this cable, which he needs to attach to the back of his patient's helm. This is also used when the mental visuals need to be transfered to a screen for others to see, where as one cable is attached to the patient, the other to the machine in question. It is used for particularly stubborn patients, but also requires greater care against those who may have knowedge of the skills of mnemosurgery. The cable is articulated, can be made to move similarly to a snake's body, and can serve secondarily to provide shock treatment. Sometimes used on the patient to 'ease them into obedience', other times as defence. He very rarely would use it as this however as the cable is far more precious as its primary function. Usually stored within the mech. It's length has been measured at around 33 feet. Second cable that is meant for the relax of data into the computer system only reaches around 15 feet. He can inflict moderate physical pain and mild physical through the cortic patch cable. If he was to eradicate someone's mind completely, this would be used.
Tools of the trade: Various tools used for repair and sealing of damage and injuries sustained by his patients. A dent removal hammer, some sealment solutions, scalpel blades, welder etc. He has a small collection of spares in his subspace – cabling, and smaller bits of plating, for emergency repair.
Cooling agent: It can be shot via a nozzle one of his arms can change into, and will 'freeze' on contact. It can be used to put out a smaller fire or provide for the 'window of opportunity' to get in and out of a burning building with the patient. Has limited range of use.
Abilities :
Description:
Fire resistence: His armour has some amount of fire resistence. Enough to enter and exit a building in flames, or to be exposed direct fire for a short amount of time before the armour begins to heat up.
Calming frequency effect: His voice is quiet and pleasant to the audial, some would say it has a quality that is not entirely natural and that the effects of 'calming' are actually due to a particular frequency that affects the processor in this way. It is said that the prolonged exposure to this particular way of tone is recharge or even trance inducing, then again, he does enjoy peace and quiet in his medbay.
History[Optional as some like to make it up as they go along] :
Has studied at the medical academy, specialized in the field of mnemosurgery , with the second primary in field repairs. As a very young bot, he was employed in his chosen field. At the time he met with BuildUp. As war began they continued working as partners. (the details are unknown. History might develop as the character is played).
Strengths :
- Highly skilled in mnemosurgery. He has no qualms to do what he is told in this field and has the ability to achieve it. He has a very strong mind. Those without shadowplay skills haven't got a chance to prevent mind alterations or invasion. Even those with knowledge or training, would probably have a very hard time not to succumb.
- Pleasant, calming voice can work even more successfully against predacons and insecticons and he actually rather likes them anyway. It has an influence on others as well, when used with that frequency, but it is the prolonged exposure that works best. He prefers the insecticons over othe predacons, because of their hive mentality. He considers them an intriguing species that does not fall to the 'backstabbing' and 'underhanded' behaviour as frequently as the other species. He shows respect towards them and enjoys their company.
- Intelligent, resourceful, can think on the job. His main interest is mostly mnemosurgery and emergency repairs but he has a growing interest in the creation of poisons and viruses. So the future may see him sway in that direction more and more.
- Strength: His form is stronger than it looks, and with the help of his thrusters and turbines he is capable of lifting or dragging greater loads than his factory frame setting. He still relies more on other bots – where possible – to do the heavy lifting for him.
- Agility: His way of fighting – where it actually even happens – is more fluid, and uses the power of his opponent more than his own. He likes the quick shoot and immobilize, or shoot and kill, over a prolonged battle, as it is then that his frame's weaknesses present themselves more. He may be strong in lifting, but his design is not so much a brawler as it is a medic. His reflexes are admirable however and he isn't too bad of a shot if needed.
Weaknesses :
- He is not a tank bot, and that shows itself also in the strength of his armour. While his armour has been designed to protect the vitals, it is generally meant for just that. Not offensive fighting.
- Shadowplay: He will jump at an opportunity to use his needles on a patient. It is a past time, it is a job, it is something that will probably eventually kill him. He does not back down from a challenge, even if the patient in question might be potentially dangerous for his own mind. Even the insane will see his needles, should the order come.
- Weapons: He is a medic, predominantly works in that field and thus does not have as heavy an armament as some. Usually he compensates by having a worthy partner to cover his back however.
- BuildUp: His best friend and frequently, backup. Probably the only one currently whom he
would disobey orders for.
Been there, done that, have a scrambled mind of the enemy to show for it. Now that Autobot thinks he's a chicken and he isn't even a predacon. He's been trained to peck at the optics of Autobots too. A real joy to have at a fighting party.
