Ability Description :
Anything related to non-living electrical systems is his wheelhouse. He's who you need when you've got a new building that needs lights, or computer systems, for that matter, though the more specialized it is, the more likely it is that he'll be out of his depth. He'll get the electrical end of things working correctly, but specialized functions, coding and programming? That's not his thing, though it really depends on the project. He's who you fuss at when the power goes out, and who you need when someone blows something up and you need things put back together *yesterday*. He has experience both in the actual installation of electrical systems, and in the planning and design of them. He knows enough that his knowledge can be applied to other areas, but the further removed and more specialized the project is, the more likely it is for him to make mistakes. Of course, knowing how to wire things safely also means he can set up some rather deadly traps as well.

ARMOR AND WEAPONRY
Armor
Armor Description:
- His armor is fairly light. It'll protect against standard bumps and falls, but he wasn't built for war.
- For the most part, it's not bulky, save for where it covers his various tools.
- His armor has a quality that allows it to withstand and dissipate minor electric shocks harmlessly. More serious ones, however will still cause harm, though less than they would have without this quality.
Weaponry
Primary Weapon
Description: N/A
Secondary Weapon :
Description: N/A
Other Weapons : See Gadgets
Description : In a pinch he sometimes uses his gadgets as weapons, though they're not meant for that purpose. See Gadgets for descriptions.
Gadgets :
He has attachments for electrical work, including a reciprocating saw, drill, labelmaker, laser distance measure (measures lengths up to 200 feet), wire stripper, several varieties of screwdrivers and nutdrivers, sidecutting pliers and needlenose pliers, and his servos can take various electrical readings (serving the purpose of an altimeter and amp meter).
The saw, drill, wire stripper and both types of pliers are in his forearms, the distance measure is a special design element incorporated into his optics, and the nutdrivers and screwdrivers have one base attachment on the index digit of each servo with ends that can be changed out for the various sizes.
Melee :
He has a small knife that retracts within each arm, though they're intended for practical work purposes, not warfare, and the blades are very short at about 7.5 inches long (note that this is proportionately more or less what a three inch blade would be to a 6 foot human).
TECH SPECS
Note: This is based off a 1 to 10 scale. One is the lowest, then is the highest.
LIMITED TO 60 POINTS TOTAL.
Strength : 6How physically strong is your character? When adding your points, this will determine how hard a character can hit in melee combat.
10 is strong, capable of lifting small buildings
1 is the strength less of a human equivalent.
Intelligence : 8 - though he doesn't have much of a knowledge base outside of electrical systems.
The ability to solve complex problems whether they be mathematical, practical or social. Examples are decoding an encrypted transmission, coming up with a battle plan or deducing the fact that someone in the ranks is a spy.
10 is a genius, who could probably the equivalent to Shockwave.
1 however represents a character who cannot speak or has problems solving simple problems like opening a door.
Dexterity : 8
The grace in the character’s movement in both robot and alternative mode.
10 is the equivalent of someone with acrobat like abilities, and capable of performing complex flips and rolls.
1 is someone who trips over there peds every other step, and has trouble driving straight in alternative mode.
Speed : 7
How fast is your character in ALTERNATIVE mode! This stat doesn’t count towards a character in robot mode, but only in alternative mode. Sometimes, there speed in car mode will roughly predict how fast they are in robot mode.
10 is SUPER SONIC
1 is slower than a turtle.
Endurance : 5
How much damage can your character take?
10 represents a character that can take a massive amount of damage function quite well with little fuel used.
1 represents that a character can take little damage and easily consume great amounts of energy to remain fully functional.
Firepower : N/A - he has no actual weapons. That drill could be nasty if you're close enough, I guess?
How much damage your character do by firing their weapons.
10 represents the ability to level a city block or greater in a single blast.
1 will only scratch a transformer’s paint.
Accuracy : 5 - if he ever has cause to use one.
How good is your character’s aim with a ranged weapon?
10 represents that your character hardly ever misses with any gun
1 proves that your character couldn't hit what's a foot in front of them.
Melee :[/font]5 - but his knives are only 7.5 inches long, so if anyone gets that close, he's in trouble anyway.
How skilled is your character with a melee weapon or with their bare hands [Ex: Sword, Mace]?
10 indicates your character is skilled with martial arts and various other fighting techniques
1 proves they suck at executing a proper punch to the face.
Tech Skill : 7
How good is your character with technology?
10 indicates they can hack through even the toughest firewalls (Long story short: Skill Equivalent to Soundwave).
1 indicates that they can’t even use a simple GB control.
OTHER
Personality :Dart has a tendency to, well, move abruptly and dart around without warning, especially when he's working on a project. He's good-natured and friendly, but he can be abrupt at times. He greatly dislikes conflict, and violence even more so, and will generally try to avoid such circumstances unless he has little or no choice. He started the war as a pacifist, detesting the thing, but has recently come to the conclusion that the war must be ended one way or another, and abstaining is not achieving that goal.
He'll chatter away happily at most anyone, but he only considers a few to truly be friends, and is intensely loyal to them. His close friends are one situation that can cause him to fight, as he'll defend them as best he can. He's far more reliable than he seems at first blush, as he'll seem to be scattered and distracted, jumping from one thing to the next, but if he says he'll do something? He'll do it.He's not naturally a leader, though he'll direct others within a project well enough. He doesn't seek out positions of leadership, and he'll happily follow those in positions of leadership. He is excitable and gets upset, frightened or worried easily, which leads to more darting - in physical space, from task to task, and from idea to idea.
Courage: 4
On a 1-10 numeric scale.
How long does it take for you character to figure out the battle just can't be won and runs away? The higher this stat is the more out numbered/out matched the situation will have to get before your character decides to run away.
Charisma : 6 - he's friendly enough to rank higher here, but he tends to jump from topic to topic in ways that are sometimes confusing.
On a 1-10 numeric scale.
How likeable is your character? How much pull do they have with other people with just their charming personality and chat up lines? Note this should be based on your own, personal, ability to pull people over to your side.
History:
Dart started his life as an electrical repair bot. He excelled and was gradually promoted until by the time the war broke out, he was an electrical engineer, designing electrical components and managing the electrical end of projects. As things became increasingly worse, he and some friends who also wanted nothing to do with this war, eventually left Cybertron, eventually ending up on earth. They lived, content amongst themselves, though their energon supply was always a concern (albeit a minor one, to begin with - they had spent time stockpiling as much as they could before their departure). With the war brought to earth, they had to learn to defend themselves on occasion, though this was not something that was necessary much of the time, as their group was relatively small and not an active threat to either side and didn't draw attention to themselves.
Dart designed some electrical defenses for their home (sensors and alarms to warn them, primarily), but in the end, it wasn't enough. A party of decepticons attacked, killing the rest of the neutrals in their small band. The others were better equipped for fighting than Dart, who was unarmed save for his tools, having declined arming himself before they left Cybertron and not having had an opportunity once it became unmistakably clear such a thing was needed - even for Neutrals. As such, when the Decepticons attacked their party, Dart's standing order was to hide, and that's what he did. When all was again quiet and he emerged, something broke in the peaceful bot. Avoiding conflict was one thing, but this war had to end, and refusing to participate certainly wasn't accomplishing that. And so, he did what he could for his friends, sealed their remains in the cave that had been their home, and headed off in search of the autobots. Even if his pacifism hadn't ended, he would have had to have done something different - the attacking Decepticons had taken the entire supply of energon the band had stashed.
Family: None. He came from Cybertron with a group of friends (all Neutrals), but all were killed fairly recently - killed by Decepticons.
Strengths:
-He is confident in his area of expertise (electrical systems).
-He is good at solving problems.
-He is friendly and gets along with most bots.
-He works well within a team, each doing their part to accomplish a goal.
Weaknesses :
-He jumps abruptly from one task to the next - has difficulty focussing on one thing at a time.
-He avoids conflicts with others - to the point that he will avoid addressing a problem until it blows up in his faceplate. This also means he won't stand up for himself if it seems likely to lead to conflict.
-He has little to no fighting experience.
-He is excitable and often anxious, which can lead to somewhat erratic behavior. He does best in an orderly environment.
SAMPLE RP
Dart was hiding. The small, dark niche off of a small side-cave was barely large enough for his frame, and had the situation been any different, he would have registered that he was very, very uncomfortable, with his pedes jammed in against the floor and the rest of him curled tightly. He could hear the fighting, but he had been told to hide. What else could he do? He wasn't armed, he wasn't exceptionally strong, and he'd rarely fought before, and when he had, he hadn't been much good at it. Best leave it to the others, who were much better equipped. He'd done his best, but even that had failed, the metal plate designed to send out an electric shock to whoever stood on it had done absolutely nothing at all. Probably one of those dumb rodents chewing through the cables again. Things were quieting. Sounded like only one remained. Guilt gnawed at him. He should have been out there, should have helped. He emerged almost timidly from the side-cave, and all he registered was way too many Decepticons in his home, and then something hit him, and his side burned. He fell. He would either die, or he'd survive long enough for them to leave. He watched through dimmed optics as the last of his friends fell, as the Decepticons took their energon. And he survived. He just lay in the silence, his own energon seeping from his wounded side. It hurt like pit, but it wasn't particularly serious. His mind spun. No energon to live on, and he was seeping energon. The Decepticons' attack, his friends gone - gone. His processor looped through memories and grief for a time before he drew himself back. He had to survive. Had to do... something. He couldn't make it on his own, and he'd starve to death before he'd join the Decepticons, so... he'd find the Autobots. Surely they could use his skills. This had to stop. They had tried to stay out of the war, tried to keep to themselves, and yet this happened. Avoiding the war wasn't working. This... this had to end, and he didn't see any other way to bring that end sooner. He would join the Autobots, help them defeat the Decepticons.
He rose slowly and painfully set to moving his friends' frames inside. He couldn't do much for them, but this... this he could do. He took frequent breaks, but it wasn't until the next day that he finished. He rested and tried to heal, for most of that day, then disabled what of the equipment he'd set up that he readily could, gathered a few things he thought might come in handy, and set out. He wouldn't find the Autobots by staying here, after all.
