(SC's distress call should redirect here. This is more of an introduction RP for my character, so friendly interaction is preferred. Any Autobot is welcome to stop by. That being said, keep in mind I'm pretty small potatoes for all the trouble I can cause, so looking for combat won't get you much here. There's also pretty much nothing to loot either, and thieves be warned I've got my eye on you too.)
Near one of the many highways the ride along the Pacific coast of Oregon, in a small 100 mile of so stretch of road that drives eastward for a while, lies a very distinct clearing in the coastal pine forests. A small grassy knoll which marks the beginning of were the humans have begun penetrating the forest. Here, standing tall amost even the mightiest of Firs, a rustic radio tower constructed of the same type of wood. Nearby lies a building, a small and unassuming barn that at one time had not much of a purpose. However, its new resident Scatterbolt has temporarily given it a new purpose. A small shelter which, with much time and energy, she has made presentable and tidy enough that she thought it an acceptable place to rest and maybe even for others to visit as well. She wasn’t expecting anyone, but you never know.

Rangefinder came at high speeds transforming in midair, falling to the ground and skidding to a halt right in front of the barn. He had been following the signal since the second he had gotten it and seeing as it was only a thirty minute flight here, he was able to get here quick. He went up to the door and knocked on it.
"Uhh, hello? Anyone in there?"

There was a faint rustling inside, the clinking of metal as if someone had been interrupted. The door slowly creaked open, a pair of green optics peering out.
“Oh, pardon, one moment.”
The door was opened by a red and silver femme standing at about 6 or so meters, a Photon Burst Rifle slung over her shoulder. On the inside you can see the interior, a small place organized like a makeshift workshop and kept quite tidy. Spare parts from vehicles of this planet are kept in crates neatly stacked along the walls. The only place that really looks a mess is a makeshift workbench toward the back, with parts and tools strewn about it.
“I’m sorry, I wasn’t expecting anyone.”

Rangefinder shrugged and has to crouch down to even see in, or to look straight at her.
"It's fine. I got your distress signal, how long have you been here to make that?"

Scatterbolt was somewhat obsessively cleaning her digits with a cloth.
"About 3 or 4 cycles. It's amazing what you can do when you have nothing but time on your hands."
She folds the cloth and sets back on the work bench as she continues
"But enough about all that, you're here because of my call. I'm sorry if it was a bit unclear, my communication systems are a bit damaged so I had to use other methods." She says this as she stares toward the large wooden tower, indicating that this is what she is referring to as "other methods"

Rangefinder had to crawl into the barn, being careful not to hit anything with his height of thirty five feet. After fining a place to sit that isn't in the way, he began to really listen.
"Three or four cycles and you did this? Impressive."
He then looked out at the large wooden tower, wonder exactly how that managed to work in the first place, though he wasn't complaining.
It's good that that worked, we need all the backup we can at the moment. Anyways, I'm designated as Rangefinder. What's your Designation?

"Oh, pardon me for not introducing myself,"
Her tone was both sincerely apologetic and cordial. She motions to hold out her hand, but she could see that it would be difficult for Rangefinder to manage the same, so she doesn't go through with the motion, instead offering a quick salute.
"Designation Scatterbolt. Or just SC if you prefer. Communications technician and self-trained in gunnery. I am happy to offer my assistance."
Then there was a pause, as if Scatterbolt was trying to remember something. It was right there buzzing in her processor, on the tip of her glossa... Oh, yes, that's right.
"You responded quite quickly to my call. That wouldn't by chance mean that you came from a nearby base, would it? "

Rangefinder tried to shake hands with Scatterbolt in as many was as he possibly could. Eventually, he gave up and tried to nod, only to bump into the back wall and the ceiling. He then chuckled a little and just raised and lowered his goggles repeatedly.
"I'd shake your hand buuuut... Having a bit of my own problems right now. Anyways, that's besides the point. I came from just south of here, say a few hundred miles away, at a very high speed. I got the message the quickest because I was the closest, with the exception of two others who are probably still just south of us. I left them about half a human hour ago, so no. Not nearby, but most certainly not out of my reach!"
He tried to stand up to stand all heroic in a joking way but bumped his head on the ceiling and just sat back down chuckling a little as he kept forgetting, something must've been wrong with his own processor, he'd have to get it checked out.
"Anyways, nice to meet you..."
He stopped speaking a moment, trying to decipher a nickname for Scatterbolt...
"Bolts, yeah. Nice to meet ya!"

Bolts, she liked it. She has gone by a lot of nicknames, it was something characteristic of her choice of company.
“I take it you know your way around this planet then. I’m much more of recent arrival myself. I was thinking that I should report to a base as soon as possible, but this place has a lot going on from what I can gather. Perhaps I should test the climate out a bit on my own, what would you suggest?”
Then she noticed, to her embarrassment, the height difference between her and the mech.
“Perhaps, if you prefer, we should have this conversation outside?”
This was out of personal consideration for him of course, but it was also in no small part due to that fact that she was worried he might unintentionally wreck the place.
***OOC: If you choose to go outside I will most likely follow you out, so I won’t mind if you mention it in your post.***

Rangefinder nods to Scatterbolt, whether she liked it or not, he was gonna keep calling her Bolts now. It was just a thing he did.
"I can get around quickly, even without a groundbridge, so I know it very well. I recommend coming with me to the Autobot base. It isn't too far away, I can just fly us there in under an hour if you want."
He then almost bumped into the ceiling again and laughed a little.
"Yes, outside would be nice, and sorry for bumping into everything."
He slowly moved himself out of the building and stood up at full height again, a full fifteen feet taller than Scatter. Once she got out as well, he continued.
"Anyways, the Autobots are currently a bit under the weather right now. Heavy casualties and such so we'll probably take all the help we can get. Don't worry though, Primo's a cool guy and you won't have to worry about combat for a while, we're specifically targeting Energon mines at the moment."

"Thank you, that would be quite helpful."
S.C. fiddled with her rifle to make sure it was secure on her back, as she did a faint awkward smile appeared on her face.
"I'm not really much of a fighter anyway, this is more for sport. Something I picked up from the crash site back on... oh never mind really, I don't want to bore you with my stories. Let's just say my proficiency was not achieved on living targets."
Outside, in the crisp clean air, the tranquil forest surrounding them swayed in the breeze. Scaterbolt stopped for a moment.
"Strange planet. Strange, but quite beautiful... sometimes."

Rangefinder laughed, he was used to it being beautiful, never really noticing it anymore.
"Wait 'till you see it from up above."
He then leaped into the air and transformed into his Skyranger form, hovering just in front of Bolts.
"Anyways Bolts, you wanna get to the base?"

She cautiously boarded. Scatterbolt was not use to flying, and her last two times didn't end well. But if this is the fastest way, she would have to trust him.
"Ready when you are."

Rangefinder smirked as he lifted off the ground. He kept the back open so she can see out to see the scenery, that will probably zip by.
"All aboard the Rangefinder express, we'll be arriving at our destination in give or take thirty minutes."
He then blasted off towards High Grand at an incredible speed of Mach 4. He would go faster, but Primus wouldn't allow it.
[Go to hangar of High Grand]
