Designation : WheelSpin
Nicknames:
Gender : Mech
Faction : Autobot
Occupation : Maintenance, tuning modification/customisation specialist, mechanical engineer,
Personality : Vain, there's probably a song about him out there somewhere. While he is well aware that there is a war being fought he doesn't think that's a reason good enough not to also enjoy himself and do other things. There's work and then there's off time and he takes the latter very seriously. So seriously in fact that he will disappear – leave the base - when he thinks his job has been done. He excuses this by simply stating that if he was really needed, he could be commed to come back in. He does not like to be bossed around if it entails being asked to do something menial. Of course, if the superiors order him to do something, he will do it. If it is something he does not like he will mutter, complain, perhaps have something juicy to say when they are not around, but he'll do it. He enjoys racing, speed and anything connected to it, good things in life, and isn't above using others to get them. He isn't averse to fighting, although he will fight dirty. He doesn't care if it isn't fair or not the autobot way. He's not the biggest bot. Inflicting pain is fine too, he'll gladly do it. Shredding the opponent's chassis, no problem at all.
Another thing he values greatly is of course his paint job. It's brilliant, unusual, what is there not to like? Scratch it and the medic will need to put you back together, if he finds enough pieces left. He's serious about that. Or at least he might threaten to do something of the sort and try his best to achieve it too. Being that he is not the tallest of transformers however, his threats may appear to be just that. Others should be aware though that he may just be waiting for the opportune moment and that he does not forgive or forget. Due to his interest in customisations and fine-tuning, he actually has a good knowledge a cybetronian design and how to alter it, but has mostly not applied his knowledge to repair of excessively - barely something left sort of - damaged bots. He did assist or do work when on the field or when a medic was not present.
Optic ( Eye ) Color : Orange
Primary Paint Color : black
Secondary Paint Color[Optional] : reflective chrome red through yellow to green and blue
Third Color[Optional] : Gray and white
Height : 18 feet
Features:
- Shiny and polished exterior. Always.
- His main lights take rather a good portion of the chassis
His weapons are usually concealed and will come out when needed.
He has a pretty impressive sound system in his alt mode so.. yeah, music can be loud. His front tyres are on his shoulders, so this bot may run into thing without sustaining much damage. His other set is in his legs. The side doors are on his arms, with windows usually fully up but they can be pulled down if he needs it. The 'wings' at the back are formed from the roof of his car mode, the spoilers split at the centre at the back and also stand at an angle, under the previously mentioned.
Alternative Mode:
Alt mode: A velocitronian design but with elements most resembling a Nissan GTR BenSopra, mixed with Chevrolet Corvette Stingray 2017 and some details that would be found on a Lamborghini Aventador with the chrome finish. Black hood, black boot, sides are mostly in the myriad of colours that resemble an oil spill a bit, just stronger. He of course changes that colour palette if needed.
Equipment and Abilities
Weaponry :
Description:
- Road spikes: Similar to the more static version the police uses to shred an tyres, the intention of these is the same. If used in alt mode they are released behind this autobot. Used to slow down (shred their tyres!) any ground based persecutor. When in bot form, singular spikes can be fired. They are reinforced and designed to tear into armour. While the spikes are quite narrow, the damage inflicted causes more pain than life threatening damage, unless hitting just the right spot of course. They are sharp at all ends so removing them may damage servos if gripped wrongly. They are good to use at close quarters.
- The window glass shield: The glass is reinforced and can serve as a shield. It will withstand bullets and some other types of blasts fired at it.
- Blades: He has dual use of them. For work as well as as a weapon. Currently he is using three different blades that he can produce from his arm. One for precise cutting (usually not used when fighting since it is meant for body alteration use, rather than fighting where force rather than precision is needed), one that is very narrow and long and is used for jabbing, stabbing and puncturing holes (and wrestling its way past the armour through the seams, to get in as deep as possible) and another for just slashing at the armour (this one is thicker and stronger, intended for stronger armour).
- Null ray: Can freeze the average Transformer for a short time by stopping their energon flow within their body and could even put them in temporary stasis. Null ray freezes the part of body it hits. If the shot is fired at an arm, the arm is rendered useless for the duration of 4 posts (or 20 minutes). After that time passes the limb begins to return into motion, at first it is sluggish and the limb feels less under control (if an arm, things are hard to grip, the grip is not as strong as normally). The limb will also feel weird, almost as if somewhat detached from the rest of he body. Once it regains full function, it operates as normal with no additional damage. If the opponent receives a direct shot to the faceplate, it will put him or her in statis for the duration of 5 posts, if two shots hit directly, then this extends to 10 (or an hour) at least. Being exposed to too many shots to the faceplate can prove fatal. If the shot is only to the helm, it will render the bot to move as if drunk, sluggish and disoriented. This will wear off fairly quickly.
If a bot is hit in the chassis and gets through armour the processor may 'think clearly' but the limbs have a lag at responding to commands. One on each arm. Usually used alternatively rather than at the same time. His preference is to using his left arm, especially when the target is pretty far. Range can be extended to long range (about 1km for max (same) effectiveness, from there the effects will diminish until it is rendered entirely useless).
Only used in bot form. If one of the other weapons is to be used, they have to switch.
- Acid Pellets: Used to melt armour, its corrosive touch is extremely painful as it burns for a long time. These do more damage over time but less per hit than a normal bullet. Only used in bot form.
- Scatter Blaster: Automatic shotgun outfitted with an Ion Torque accelerator enabling the weapons' high rate of fire and brutal, close range stopping power. Can also be used in alt mode and is only visible when used. One per arm in bot form, is fitted on each side of car (along the length of it), in alt when visible.
- Ice liquid: A slippery clear liquid can be released onto the road when in alt mode. It gives the effect of ice covering the road. It evaporates in about 10 minutes. Cannot be used in bot mode.
- Noise: Sonic/Ultra Sonic weapon produced with the alterations to his sound blasters. Used to injure, incapacitate or even kill an opponent. Can cause extreme pain and disorientation. If used on organics in a much 'gentler' variety it can cause unease, nausea, vomiting, damage to eardrums, bleeding or worse ie. death. Usually used to keep annoying teenagers away when he's in alt form and does not want to be disturbed as he can emit a certain frequency that is uncomfortable to organics. He realised it also can keep dogs from getting close to him to make their 'mark'. Other levels and intensity of vibration/frequency can cause damage to glass, cracking it, splitting it or shattering it in its entirety. That affects also materials of similar kind on cybertronians. With the right intensity, it causes disorientation, interruption of signals in the processor, affects coherent thought in cybertronians, causes intense pain. While prolonged exposure could lead to the spark fluttering out, it would require the 'noise' to be amped to the right frequency, to its fullest and remain so continuously for a while (13 posts) , and the sound would have to be focused directly at the opponent, who was to be affected. It is basically disrupting the spark's frequency until it becomes unstable and then snuffs itself out. The noise can really just be very, very annoying but so can some choice music.
- Speargun: shoots relatively small reinforced sharp tip spears (the head can be filled with acid pellets, explosive pellets, nitrogen pellets, etc, or nothing of course.) that are intended to pierce deep into the body of the opponent, where its contents are dispersed. The other end of the spear can be attached to a cable to pull the opponent back to his or her attacker (ie WheelSpin) or, to use the spears pretty much as means of getting to a location via the combination of a spear shot and secured into a wall, and the cables serving to pull the user to the location. They can be timed to explode right before impact too. One, in left arm. When in alt form, the spears can be shot from the front of the vehicle under the level of the headlights.
- Frame charging: Basically, causes the sensation of sudden extreme pain to whoever is keeping hold of him. It is temporary, but intense. He can only use up to 5 bursts with 1 post between each use, before he needs to recharge his reserves (10 posts). While not causing any long lasting damage, it can bring even the biggest bots to release their hold.
Gadgets :
Description:
- Blowtorch: Used to weld things together or cut them apart. With the right setting it can also serve to burn in insignia or other 'tattoos'. He is not above using it as a weapon too. He can adjust the settings on it from a very thin but concentrated flame that can cut through a vast array of materials, or, if less concentrated, that can engrave designs into plating, to a broader flame that is not as hot but has a broader range of damage. He might temper with it at a later time. Can be used in alt mode too, and comes out from the side to burn at opponent's tyres or bodywork but is extremely limited in reach and range and the vehicles have to come quite close for it to be of any effect.
- Fabrication/upgrades scan: It's a scan that is used while he designs new upgrades for the bots, once probably belonging to a medic (most likely scavenged). He made alterations to provide him with a 3D blueprints hologram after it scans, and allow him to add and remove parts that it scans or he is designing new. It allows him to have a 3D sketchbook in a way. With the data on the weight of the parts the blueprint can provide information on what would happen if a certain new armour piece or gun would be added. Secondarily it can provide the owner with the 'picture' of the damage, but it does not supply him with further information than that. It can scan a 'loop', meaning a few seconds of the frame, that then repeats itself. It has a setting that can show powerlines/energon in blue, and the rest of the frame in red.
- All sorts and types of polishing, buffering, etc. devices for personal use to keep the paint and himself to look his best. Obviously cannot be used as weapons and don't come out unless he has some off time. And of course tools of the trade for a fabricator. The select ones he doesn't just borrow from the medbay/workshop.
- Runflat tyres: If his tyres are shot, he will not immediately be rendered unable to drive, while in alt form. While the damaged tyre will be capable of sustaining his weight without additional damage to his rims, his speed will be somewhat affected. Control, especially doing sharp turns, will also suffer somewhat. If the tyre is entirely blasted (as in, not just pierced through but chunks of it are missing) he will of course have the usual problems of a car driving on a flat tyre. These tyres run on the principle of being auxiliary-supported tyres ie there is an additional support ring or insert attached to the wheel that can support the weight of the vehicle in the event of a loss of pressure.
- Boosters: Recent upgrade after the arrival on Cybertron. They were built into his legs (lower leg, back , just above tyre), arms (just above wrist area, for mobility) and on his back, between his roof wings. The boosters enable a controlled fall, a boost to a jump extending it, or a short term 'flight'. When in alt form they also give him a boost of speed (the one that is on his back), or as in bot form, prolong and control his jump/fall. One post of use, on post of 'cooldown'.
Abilities :
Description:
- Electricity triggered paint change: Trick inspired by what he saw could be done with the cars on Earth. His version just turns the whole body work black. He doesn't particularly like to use it as he likes his flashier design. Once used, it takes a day for the colours to return to their previous state. The change also causes a small static charge, which is dispelled after somebody touches him. Not the most pleasant, albeit harmless experience. The touch however will quicken the process of changing his colours back.
- Colour changing: His original change was from oilspill/black to full black in alt form. After further work on the paint technology progress was made.
-- White and random patterning: With the right pulse of energy, the colour will change from black to white. Useful in snow to conceal the car. If the current is sent across the frame in an erratic manner patches of black grey and white intermix giving a more random colouration.
-- Unusual paint colouration: He is trying to replicate the colour in which the effect of labradorescence would be possible and has had limited success. Since this would make him stand out too much however, the use of such a paint 'state' would be rather limited and mostly for showing off. He has currently added a solid red with black stripe/pattern design, a venom green with a similar black stripe/pattern design, and a simple solid silver. He is still working to perfect this technology to include more colour variations and better the control on the paint changes.
-- Glow in the dark paint: Certain stripes/pattern on his frame can be triggered to glow in the dark. This really has no....real purpose other than he likes the way it looks. The triggering pulse can make the colour glow ripple (change) in a similar fashion to some of the known deep water sea creatures.
The production of these paint coats takes more effort, specific raw materials and time than usual paints, which is helped slightly with the higher end machinery he has at his disposal now.
-- Protection against corrosives: Advanced technology that serves to protect the wearer from corrosive materials or liquids. The paint protects the plating underneath and doesn't get affected by it itself. With strong corrosives, it survives much longer than than plating not protected with this coat.
-- Somewhat fire-resistent: The second layer of clear coat protects against milder exposures to fire, or exposures to fire for a short time. It does not desensitise the area though, so while not damaged right away, the pain is still felt. It also does not protect the wearer's plating from heating up, due to exposure.
-- Diminished heat and radar signature: Top finish does not completely conceal the wearer's radar signature, it does greatly diminish it. His heat signature can be nearly completely concealed in combination with the white paint, but is rather ineffective, when his body is in full black combo, and exposed to the sun. This finish also has a positive side effect of making it very hard for him to be caught speeding.
- Blinding light blast: His front lights have been modified to deliver a powerful blast/flash of light, which can temporarily offline optics and as a consequence render the opponent temporarily blind. To humans that is obviously much more harmful and may cause permanent damage to the eyes. If he was to focus his lights at a bot, rather than simply flashing them, and the opponent would be exposed to it for a longer time, it could fry the optics permanently. However such an endeavour would also sap immense amounts of energy from Wheelspin depending of how long it would last. The longer the exposure, the more likely Wheelspin would have to call it a day.
- Electromagnetic cloak: More useful in alt form. Used usually to keep under the radar of other transformers. When in use, if scanned, he will not be identified as anything but a normal car. Cellphones may have an issue working, when the cloak is online, if the person trying to use it is inside. If the person is outside and very near the car – leaning against it – the signal would be very weak, since the 'jammer' would be interfering with it. Credit cards and similar will stop working, if their owner was leaning against the car, while the cloak was on.
- Armour plating: He is experimenting with a lighter but relatively stronger material from the new generation of quasi metals infused with his cna. While being stronger than standard plating, it still cannot match the durability of tank type armour. It's enough to survive small calibre shots, will get dented in rather than pierced at medium calibre, and continues to get pierced through easily, with bigger calibres. The new material allows for the plating to expand rather than split at impact, with medium size calibres, which allows him easier and more seamless repairs. The armour also allows for mild alterations in his body design and shape, although the 'stretch' capabilities are quite small. Usually used to make himself more aerodynamic if needed or to alter the design somewhat when in need to hide. Production of such plating takes time and requires the right raw materials, which means that when the damage is sufficient to need replacement, WheelSpin might be found in his 'old' worn down plating a while after the battle has been long over. Unless he just uses the boring standard armour material.
- Energy shield: Inspired by the older technology the shield has been made much more efficient. While it protects the user, it will not only prevent direct damage but also prevents damage from the force of the blast. The user will feel some pressure, but if his stance is secure, that will be it. If he is out of balance, it could possible give him that unneeded nudge.
'Physical material' weapons (Ie rockets, bullets, grenades): Bullets for example will appear as to flatten at impact and fall uselessly to the ground. The shield will be worn down with exposure and use.
Energy weapons: Unlike 'Physical' weapons, the shield would actually benefit from energy weapons, drawing the energy in to power itself. While it will not make it stronger, it will sustain it. Excess energy will pass WheelSpin harmlessly, keeping itself from overloading.
Shield stats: Limited time of use. It will cause severe drain of energon over prolonged use. Since it is energy based, it is a much preferable alternative to the usual, heavy duty armour as it carries no weight. Visually it appears as a faint, transparent, light blue layer, that appears to ripple at point of impact. General movement reminds one of liquid suspended in mid air, more evident when the shield is being impacted by attacks.
Other uses: Albeit rarely, as it is taxing on energon reserves and WS usually prefers to use speed over shield when fighting anyway, it is sometimes used as a surprise defence against physical hits. What happens is pretty much similar to when physical weapons hit ie. like if a human hit a solid wall. The wall wouldn't budge, but depending on the force, the limb could sustain damage back.
To prolong its use and if no energy weapons are being used, WS needs to recharge his 'battery' via driving (ie more than just the idle running of the engine) but that would have to take a good long while, only shortening the length of recharge if really great speeds are being utilised. Even then, the time would not be shortened by a great deal but rather by a small, albeit noticeable amount.
The shield activates first at the core and progresses in both directions to cover the user. The core is near instantaneous, the rest happens in the same post. The last to be protected are usually the bottoms of legs since they are furthest from core. To turn the shield off, a new post has to be made. To Turn the shield on again, one post has to be made in between ie. – shield off post – post – shield on post.
History[Optional as some like to make it up as they go along] :
He was created when the war was already in full swing. Early on, he had to rely on himself for survival, at first 'salvaging' anything that he found useful on the battlefield to sell in exchange for Energon, and later finding work in one such a shady establishment. Most of his knowledge of cybertronian medicine and anatomy came from the dead, dying and those who would receive treatment, replacements or upgrades. He began as an observer, and progressed from that to an assistant and sometimes even the main upgrader, his digits, made for more delicate work, perfect for his chosen field. His interest also expanded towards the paints, partially due to his nature, and partially as those could be effective to mask or even fully conceal a bot from being discovered. They were the finishing touch to an upgrade, often times needed also to conceal the fact the part was not new, but had belonged to a different bot. This he developed into an art.
Striving to make himself better, and faster, he began to replace and experiment on his own frame while working for his new boss. He earned some reputation in that. Parts took interest in that too and some of the upgrades were done according to his demands and specifications. Parts saw benefit from the speedster, and had him trained, obtaining a bodyguard that perhaps looked harmless at first sight, but could be efficient if the need arose. Wheelspin's frame and origin, allowed him far greater speeds than normal, and this too was exploited and improved on at any given opportunity. WheelSpin had a near obsession with speed and would temper with the shape of his frame and the materials, as much as he could. War was something that he was used to, and which to him, had mostly been a way to survive. In time he earned his position and would accompany his boss whenever business had to be conducted, even selling some of his own weapon and armour designs.
Fast forward a hundred or thousand of years, he found himself on Nebulon, accompanying his boss to secure another deal. The deal had not come to a close. They were interrupted, Parts escaped during the fighting, while Wheelspin was left behind covering his retreat. He disappeared after a rather large explosion levelled a room, and damaged a good portion of that floor.
The racer was stuck on the planet with no other ways of leaving it. With the resources being scarce again, Wheelspin did the one thing he knew. Seek a battlefield, and see what he could gain from it. While usually quite apt at leaving without damage, he was not as fortunate this time. He got dragged into the fight. While he held his own for a relatively good length of time it ended once the Decepticons decided to 'shower' the area with fire. Many lives were lost that day, melted or turned to dust. Wheelspin's frame was battered, but not beyond repair. Realising that the lack of available tools and materials, could have him not only stranded but vulnerable, he chose a side. After the destruction, he helped one of the badly wounded, by carrying them to safety, just to return for another, who appeared shell shocked. With the one helped to safety he remained on board.
He joined the Autobots after, in part to obtain repairs and in part to get his passage off planet on their ship, the Regenesis.
Strengths :
- Experienced fighter in close combat: He will use anything to his advantage including his speed. He will cheat to win as he is of the opinion that everything is fair in war or a fight anyway so why waste opportunities one is given. He prefers to fight at distance if he has a choice. Thanks to Parts, he has been trained as a sniper and with his steady servo – useful very much for a medic as well – he is an excellent shot.
- Knowledgable in framework of bots: While not attending a school for medics, his knowledge comes from a more hands on experience. First as one who scavenged the bodies for parts and later as a trainee under Parts' guidance. He learned on the job and found he much prefered replacement done well, than patching up as that could leave a mark, that replacing the damaged part would not. Since joining the Autobots, he had obtained texts on the matter from the medical bay. Since his knowledge has been obtained through less standard 'get a licence' means, some medics may look down on it. His preference to upgrade is also shunned by some. His knowledge can give him a better understanding of where the armour could be weaker. While upgrading he also takes the current frame into account, to not ruin the static of the bot and will find a way to distribute the weight to balance out anything new added to avoid grinding, uneven wear etc.
- Fine detailing: Can do very precise cuts, and is generally very capable of doing work that allows for minimal margin of error, since his digits are rather slender and allow for this type of work and control.
- While he can have a mouth, he does his appointed tasks well. With the right motivation he can be formidable.
- Promise: If he gives his word to someone, he will keep it no matter what. However, it is very rare that he would want to promise anyone anything. He doesn't like to be bound by it as he is well aware that it can be abused. That makes him a very stubborn bot about keeping secrets too. Not even damage to his paint will make him break. He's apt at putting up barrier upon barrier in his mind to protect sensitive information. This doesn't mean he won't lie and provide false data though. He can become rather creative if he wants to.
- Speed: He's fast. He strives to be even faster. While gravel roads aren't great for his current alt mode and will slow him down a bit, when the road's right, this one will take it to the possible limit and beyond. How fast he can go of course is affected by his capacities, road quality and the fact he is still a car, bound by the rules of the ground and not a plane.
- Intelligent: He uses his wit rather than his brawn to achieve goals, be it in battle or everyday life. He likes to assess the situation before rushing in and so may not be the first in the fray. Unless it takes too long. He can be a little impatient. He is also capable of manufacturing parts, and he has created quite a few new designs for his frame as well as his armament. He thrives to learn more as he goes, while his time as a scavenger really helped him learn of the inner workings of different frames and weaponry. He learns, what he studies, quite quickly. What he is interested of course much faster than something obligatory. His strength is also in improvisation, as having dealt with limited resources, that is what he had to work with.
Weaknesses :
- Height: He's not tall and because of that also, not as strong as many of the other bots. His height may be an annoyance to him around the much larger types and at times a hindrance, if things are placed out of reach. He will not be amused at all if a tool or anything he needs at the time is kept or held above him. He is stronger than he looks, but in comparison to others this is far from enough.
- His paintjob: He does not particularly like (well hates) to see it scratched. He will get vengeful, and this can sometimes lead to situations that he should have avoided and might even cause more scratched paint. If it is scratched by someone, he will chase them down and focus most of his fighting on them, which could mean that he might drive into a trap, simply to avenge what they've done to him. While it might not break him during an interrogation, having scratches to his paint may put him in his place. He genuinely fears obtaining permanent damage to his plating. He can get easily offended if it is mocked, which may make his temper snap sooner.
- Impatience: he prefers things to be done quickly, right away and should not take long at all. When there are missions, or tasks that require a good amount of time to get some results, he starts to get sloppier or tries to rush them. This can end up badly. His impatience can also cause him to complain or say things that might anger other bots he believes to be darn slow.
- Racing: He loves racing and will risk going out on his own to get his fix.
- Flattery: He also loves flattery. There are two things that will probably be a very strong motivation for him to do as told. One is the threat of having his paintjob scratched and being barred from fixing it up again, the other is flattery. Do a bit of that, and he'd be eagerly committing to a mission. Another way that he can be bribed, but only by those who actually know what they are doing, is to offer him a good polish and buff job if he does his job well. Pampering is a very acceptable type payment.
- Scraplets: While most transformers may feel some extent of fear of these small bugs, WheelSpin would probably have nightmares about them. He is afraid of them, terrified even. They are very much everything he is trying to work against to keep his frame in the state it is at. Best motivator ever, really. Do that or it's the scraplets, and he'll do it.
- Cant fly: Obviously due to his type of mode he is bound to the ground. This means that, unless there is a ground bridge he can use, the distance he can travel is limited by the quality of roads or lack thereof, speed capacities, number of other cars on the road, whether he can get away with breaking the speed limits without getting a pursuit and other (great bodies of water, he can't cross unless with assistance of a ship, slopes he would have to climb rather than drive up etc.).
- Armour: While his armour can sustain some battering and would not bend as quickly as normal car plating would, it cannot withstand cannon fire of bigger calibres and medium size calibres will cause dents and surface damage. His paint may be somewhat more scratch resistant as well. While intentional tearing into it will of course result in a marred exterior. The bot is also quite sensitive to cold. If he needs to replace his tyres for the winter variety or vice versa, he needs assistance of another bot to do it and usually prefers the switch to be while in alt mode.
He spotted him first at one of the races. The organic did not own the car he was racing with, but seemed keen on getting one as soon as he had the means. He'd learned that when they first met, and he had been muttering under his breath on how the moment he could afford it, he'd like to have something just like him, well, he said her. Why did fleshlings deem all cars to be female he could not understand, but he would bear it for the time being. The organic also murmured on how he would have kept him polished and clean and pampered, not like his current owner who left him all covered in dust. It was music to his audios.
The kid's racing style wasn't too bad, there was room for improvement of course, but it did look as though he had a better understanding than many there. He saw him win one or two times and when he was not winning, he was close second or third. But the biggest reason he went for him still was that sweet talking when they first met. He also saw him at work so he knew that it wasn't all big words and no action, but that the fleshling genuinely had the skills required.
There were quite a few scenarios Wheelspin went through finding flaws in each and one of them. When he finally settled on the last one, he had been half tempted to simply approach the organic and intimidate him into accepting the deal. But then, he had an idea. During the night he dropped of a letter at the fleshling's home along with what looked like a key that did not need to be inserted into the lock to start the car up. The trinket in all truth did nothing. Certainly now what it was designed for. All it would have done was to track the whereabouts of his queiry. All he needed to do after was to wait, parked by the road infront of the house the other was living in.
The letter was addressed to Terence A. Daytona. The one that addressed him made a positive observation about the racing skills he saw Terence to possess and offered him the car, should he decide to race for this stranger. There were a few strings attached of course. 30 percent of the winnings would have to be delivered to a location that was detailed in the note. The car would have to be kept in best state possible, he was expected to leave it at a certain location when required and would have it delivered back to his house, when no longer needed. For the most part the car was his though. He was expected to keep it in a garage. As far as private use, there were a few more detailed rules on how, when and who else could possibly enter the car.
If he was to accept, the aforementioned vehicle was waiting outside for him and he could give HIM a test ride.
Wheelspin waited. Why did it have to take so long. Was it so hard to read a letter, agree to the terms and take him for a spin? Honestly, organics took far too much time to make up their minds! When Terrence finally appeared he approached the car tentively, still looking around as if to expect it to be some kind of a sick joke his friends had played on him. A car, just out of the blue? Only happened in movies! He stood by the car's side for a little while, just studying him. Finally his hand reached out to touch the car's hood. Trailing his fingers along it all they way to the mirror he realised that this was at least not a dream and the car was real. He pinched himself. Yep, the car was still there. As he reached for the handle the door slid open. That was all the invitation he needed as he dropped himself into the seat. It adjusted itself to his weight, calculating the optimal distance for the driver and shifted forward until full comfort of the driver was achieved. Before Terrence needed to do much more, the engine revved up, the radio switching on. It picked a station he thought mirrored the type of music organic seemed to have enjoyed at home.
"Impressive." Terrence's fingers curled around the wheel, gripping it. He pulled his belt down, clicking it secure. " Shift?" He was about to say, bringing the stick into first. As they picked a bit of pace and he was about to change gear again, the stick moved of its own. "...optional?..Automatic with manual mode. Neat."
Even if he allowed the fleshling to steer his wheel, Wheelspin wasn't exactly thrilled about it. It was the price to pay though. Let him drive and he could get his cover, a cosy place and all the pampering he would want. If he got too irritated with it, he could always 'make the driver' sleep it off for a little while. All he needed to make sure was that he did not remember it happen.
His new servant seemed excited. He whooped, he grinned, he brought he pedal down to have them speed up, testing what the car offered. When they were done he drove him to his work, parked him there and went on to fix and polish the cars brought in. When he would some down time he moved on to wash his new car first.
