Random Uninhabited Caribbean Islands, Caribbean
Beautiful Islands with beaches and vegetation, with sandbars. Very little human evidence, with only a small abandoned village in the center of a big island. Aquatic life swims around in the clear blue water while occasionally birds appear and roost in trees. The ocean is calm and it is a clear day.
Off in the distance, breaking through the water was a ship. On its side read "USS Tornado". Unbeknownst to the world, one of the islands housed a cellar, that housed items that the ship could restock on.
(Authors note. Post here will be used to help clarify my character getting his first form. It is open so feel free to join as you please)

High above the clouds, a ship flew. If the weird shape and peculiar sounds the ship made as it flew did not give it away, the ship was of Cybertronian origin. In the cockpit, TideWave sat, piloting the ship. Information was rushing into his system as his sensors decoded and translated human data into something he would understand. He watched videos of battles between decepticon and autobot. Then he came to realization that he was missing something. He needed a transformation. Quickly he scanned for a form that would suit him and fit him from the knowledge he had. Finding one that he liked, he changed coarse and headed into the Caribbean, where his new form waited.
As the "USS Tornado" broke through the clear water, a man sat in the tower with a cup of coffee in one had and a piece of bread in the other. This was the Captain. Now the captain looked laid back because he had done this many times before. In fact, in had been his idea to make a stash to restock. Months away from home can take its toll. And nothing had ever happened before. He trusted his men, his crew of 30 men were as eager as him to open the stash and kick back and relax even more. That's why he almost couldn't believe when one of his men, in charge of the radar, told him that an object was approaching, at a faster speed then the radar could translate. As the captain made a move to check the radar himself a violent "VROOM" met his ears that knocked supplies of the table and made the ship rock violently. Not a second later, a Gigantic splash sending a wave onto the deck, soaking the crew who were fortunate not to be protected. The hot coffee he had been holding splashed onto his hand. The captain cursed and hurriedly wiped himself down. The crew ran to the side of the boat to look in the water. Alarms were going off. The radar identified the object as a mass that was sinking. There were bubbles and even steam rising from where the object hit. Half panicked, half intrigued, the captain ordered all hands to their station and to gather information on what happened. The Rum would have to wait.
TideWave had read about "water". He had dove from his ship, as he did not personally know how the defenses of humans would be. The water had been a shock to him, but he quickly adjusted as he sank, as when he touched the bottom he was already recovering. His systems had been given a shock and were disoriented. But they adjusted and as they did he focused on his target. He eyes ran a scan of the machinery, the mechanics, gears, wires and all. He had to move around to capture it all. To move in the water, with resistance and all took a lot of energy. Finally, as he moved to the shallower end, to the left of the boat he stopped. He had gotten all the information he had needed. While this end was shallower, it was still about 60 ft taller then him. Now was the moment to test his new form. First he moved his body into an upside down U shape. His head moved backwards into his body. His body was shedding metal, but gained new ones in the form of plates. He folder his arms in towards his body, his shoulders Twisting around and Flattening out. His fingers slid back onto his hand as his palm went inwards to become machinery. He bent his knees, his thighs becoming the inside of the ship, his legs becoming the side of the ship, his feet bending upwards, then inwards like a C. His form had become more of an upside down W, but slowly snapped into place. Putting the boosters on, he floated up wards, launching his new form above sea level.
The captain watched as the water besides his ship moved. A dark shape was twisting and changing. And then the water started bubbling. It was as if the water was boiling. As he watched his eyes grew wide as a dark shape came closer and closer to the surface. Suddenly, the crew was hit with water and the captain looked an Identical ship like the one he was on was 5ft above the water. It splashed down, making his ship dip in the water and rock violently. His crew gasped and pointed. The ship was changing color, from a dark navy blue to a steel gray. Here and there gaps were being filled as the ship created itself. On its side the name "USS TideWave" was beginning to take shape. While it was fascinating that the ship was identical to his, it was also horrifying as the ship also had the exact same guns and artillery.
TideWave ran a systems check. Within 30 seconds he knew how his ship worked. He moved his artillery back and forth and gazed at his new form. He was vaguely aware of the humans watching him. He worked and became aware of his abilities. Darkly excited and accelerated full speed, clocking from 0 knots to 30 knots 10 seconds. However his excitement was short lived, as he beached himself. Apparently, ships only worked on water in this world. Within 45 seconds he transformed into his new upgraded form. As he stood water fell like waterfalls from his body. He again, ran system diagnostics and went through his weapons. He got happier as he saw his new armory. Then his sensors picked up an outgoing signal. It was coming form the ship. He smiled. It was time to test his new gear.
The Captain was awestruck. Then he saw it transform onto land, casting a shadow over a part of the boat. It was cool. Then it went through its many weapons. Not cool. The Captain began shouting orders. First, get the hell away from here. Second, ready the guns and prepare for a battle and third. Transmit a message to the Navy. He was really in need of some rum.
TideWave had read about this and now had the knowledge to recognize guns targeting him and earth creations moving. Readying one of his 25 mm he took aim and fired. And missed. He was not used to firing these weapons. He spoke a line in ancient cybertronian before firing his second 25 mm, almost hitting the ship. He started firing off everything else, as the crew did. While they landed more shots, his bullets had a bigger impact. One of his rocket launcher put a hole in the middle of the ship. Bullets riddled the backside of the ship, where bodies lay. Then they had finally turned one of their 25mm around and shot. It shattered him in the right shoulder, a through and through. A shoulder armor part fell off, and he fell to his left knee. Oil and fluid, hit the ground, but that only encouraged him. He switched to his Cybertronian War Cannon, something he was used to. Aiming this was a second language to him. He shot at the front of the ship taking out more of the front ship then he thought. Fire, shrapnel, debris, death screams filled the picture. He laughed.
When the ringing stopped, the captain stood up. His right-hand man hung over the window, a piece of glass sticking through his body. Blood dripped down and there was a puddle. The radar man was slumped in his seat, his face covering the screen, his body dotted with holes. His right arm was on the floor. Where the captain lay, he saw that a filing cabinet had saved his life. He stood on his knees, as he didn't want to the bot to see him. He looked out the door, that was blown ajar, on one hinge. He saw his crew. He saw that one was stilling firing a machine gun. Until seconds later he was hit with a volley of bullets, thrusting him against the tower. Many men lay dead. One man was pulling himself overboard. He was missing his legs. The captain didn't stop him. He knew what he had to do. Still on his knees, climbing over glass, metal and various debris he made his way to terminal. The phone was shot but he might reach still have a signal on his computer. The Captain began typing.
He smiled at his work. It was like taking a spark from a protoform. With his eye he scanned living heat forms. He stepped into the water, up to his waist before taking out his new grappling war hook. The anchors glinted darkly in the sun. He threw it at the ship, and it made contact a little after the tower. It caused the back half of the ship to go under water. Yanking on the chain, which was no easy task, he managed to bring the other half of the ship closer to him. Metal floated off and bodies fell. Picking it up was light because of the shape it was in. Inside the box, he saw a man downed in white. He was decorated in metal and looked more sophisticated then the rest of the humans he had seen. He had been typing on a computer. Then cocking his arm back, he chucked the ship. It watched it as it moved, fiery balls and parts falling off, before hearing a resounding splash. He smiled, and walked up shore to the island. He was back, and bot did it feel good.

Nearby, a periscope pokes it out of the water, watching this all unfold. Seeing the robot attack, the submarine would speed towards the scene of the battle and transforms. A large hunched back robot rises from the water, slamming a trident into the water.
Hellos and welcomes comrade. I tell by your lack of the gentle treatment of da surface dwellers you be Decepticon.
The Sub-commander stands on a nearby sand bar. his glass face barely hiding his optic's glow.

TideWave turned, as he did cocking his cannon. The 48ft created deep footprints in the sand. TideWave had never been good at speaking. "Yesss" Was all he said. He preferred to be short and to the point. He scanned the other bot. Decepticon. Brother. Ally.

I be the Sub-commander comrade.
The large robot pulls his trident out of the ground and looked at TideWave.
And who be you?

TideWave looked at the Sub Commander. Digital sounds like data running could be faintly heard and the soft hum of cybertronian could be heard.
"Designation TideWave"
He looked back at himself. His body looked sleeker. He remembered he had been shot. Expecting to find a hole, instead he found a dent that was red hot. He could feel something happening to his body. But he had no interest in finding out. He could fight, and that was all that mattered. Looking back at Sub Commander he asked
"Where are the decepticons? Where is lord Megatron?"

TideWave processed what he had learned. For so long he had fought for Megatron, for his war. And their had never seemed to be a suitable replacement for him, in years he knew there had been talks of mutiny. His mind raced through data. He knew Megatron had ruled with an Iron fist, and that he had supporters. Without a strong leader there was nothing keeping Decepticon from trying to become leader. Nothing to stop infighting.
"Master..." after a thoughtful moment he asked "Who leads now? And where is the base?" before finally concluding with "How is the war?"

The Sub-commander looks at him, walking towards the wreaked human ship as he speaks.
I been outside of loop for while. Left after Decepticon Leader Backbeat double crossed me.
He pulls away the rubble from the ship, looking for something.
Megatron is gone. Shockwave took command until he disappeared. Backbeat took over, then seemingly gave the job to another...

"Where is base. And how can I get there?"
He realized that the bot was "kicked out", but he honestly didnt care. Sacrifices are necessary for the greater good and he trusted this BackBeats judgement.

The Nemesis is circling the planet.
The large robot tosses him a communi-cube.
This be having the radio code you be needing.
He starts to dig into the wreaked human boats looking for supplies. Tossing what ever he did not need aside.

TideWave accepted the communi-box, but did not use it when he did his message. Only the second time he used it.
"Thank you, Sub-commander. I will remember this and tell the decepticons of your assistance."
