The Atlantic OceanWith a maximum depth of 8,380 metres and width of roughly 3,716 miles, the Atlantic Ocean is both the second shallowest and second largest Ocean on the planet, splitting apart America, Europe and Africa. It also serves as the home of a wide array of life and millions of species of fish, crustaceans and other aquatic animals, with so much more to be discovered and catalogued as Humans exploration ventures further into it's depths.

A small distance above the water, a green vortex appeared. The light from it reflected into the clear water, shining on the fishes underneath the surface. It was rather beautiful but that was lost quickly. Out of the green portal, a large green mech jumped out and headed straight into the water. He still had the tune from before in his head, just fueling him further. Three aerialbots hovered above the water, ready to help and to guard the bridge in case of an attack. Sky did not float in the slightest. The opposite actually. He sank very quickly and soon activated his headlights to be able to see deep down in the dark ocean. The water pressure was rising but it didn't bother him at all. His armor was made to handle extreme pressure, this wasn't even close to extreme. All this time he was still searching, looking around for either Dashside or Stormgear, the other two of his childhood squad. The original bridge closed behind them and a new one leading to the medbay took its place as he figured it might be needed.

Following great green mech's plunge into the water, the fish that had gathered near the light of the portal quickly dispersed. During his slow descent, fish of varying species garnered up the bravery and the curiosity (or more accruately the base instincts similar to those attributes) swam near him, darting around his form as he sank further and further, into darker and darker regions of the sea. But the mech wasn't here for the fish, he was here to track a signal, and the closer he got to the ocean floor, the stronger said signal became.
As he sank deeper and deeper into the ocean, the signal would become stronger, but also clearer. The static reduced in volume with Skyspray's increasing proximity to the signal, but never translated into something comprehensible nor did it disappear entirely, merely becoming a faint whisper. The melody itself however, was quite the opposite, increasing in duration and volume, the expansion of the former leading to the tune playing over the now faint static as though the latter was some kind of eerie backing track.
In a similar way to how the tune changed and became more audible, the co-ordinates started to sort themselves out, unlike the comm frequency which remained entirely the same, broken and garbled. Despite the increasing accuracy of the aforementioned co-ordinates, such would not be needed, as soon Skyspray's nature as an Energon-based Outlier would enable him to sense a faint trail of energon nearby, albeit an incredibly weak one.
It was well known liquid energon was easily diluted, and at this depth (a few hundred metres or so) it would be a rare occurrence for such not to have taken place. Despite this fact however, the source seemed even weaker than one would expect it to be based on energon dilution alone, and a keen mind might pick out that perhaps another force was at play, that something had happened to whoever the energon came from - like grievous injury.
Regardless, Sky would arrive at a small shelf roughly 400-500 metres below the sea level in the passage of a few minutes or so. The recently cleared up co-ordinates and energon signature would align here, he was at the right depth, whoever he was tracking was on this same level - all he need do now was find them.

The fish around him didn't do much except for reflecting the light that hit them back to Sky. They weren't harmful in any way and he bad no interest in ghem at all. If his mission had been something less personal, then he might have stopped to take in the scenery around him but now he didn't. His focus was on finding his missing friend, maybe even friends, and bringing her back to the base. This could be easier said than done although he didn't expect it to be hard at all.
The signal got stronger, that meant he was on the right track, going the right way. The static began to vanish and was replaced by the S.D.S. theme. He could still hear the static noises but they were no longer the most prominent thing in the message. The tunes brought back so many memories, all the times they had used it in the past. The cafeteria heist had been one of the better ones because that one had both succeeded and they had never been caught. Sky's energon sensing had proved to be a great tool when trying to avoid getting caught. Speaking of detection, there it was! An energon reading! He knew that reading anywhere and anytime, no matter how weak it was.
Beginning to move towards the signal, Sky used his cannons as a mean of going faster, making them fire behind him, thus sending him forwards both from the force and from the shockwave that the explosion created. The energon in the water did cloud his senses a fair bit down here so he began draining it. The energon that was diluted began to separate from the water and form into a gllwing ball in his servo, just to make it easier for him to detect her. Judging from the amount of energon he gathered, something had happened. One didn't simply lose this much from a small wound, not even if it was right next to the spark.
Hitting the rock below him with a soft clank, he began to look around. The headlights were sweeping the area, searching to see if they could find anything. His energon senses however, they were leading him towards the right. That was the way he began walking, as the signal was stronger and stronger, now he could even see her energon signal, the one her body emitted, the signal that was her.

The source of the energon and the co-ordinates began to coincide, pointing Skyspray towards the right, the direction he was currently headed. Still the signal continued to clear itself up, whilst the ball of energon he had been gathering in his palm increased. His current heading put him on a path for a dead-end, where the shelf he was currently stood on intersected with a nearby undersea cliff - yet there was no doubt that's where both signals originated from.
By now he would be close, very close. But that was when it happened. The signal, the melody, the co-ordinates - it all cut out, disappeared. Nothing to be his footsteps and the distant sound of fish swimming around him in the darkness, the only light nearby being projected from his body. Minutes would pass of trudging across the sea-floor, and still no more melody, not even static, and eventually he would arrive at the end.
And there it was. There she was.
The bright lights gleaming forth from Skyspray's headlamps were reflected back at him, a shimmering yellow sheen glistening in it's glow. It was Dashside. Or atleast what looked like her. What laid before Sky was a mangled wreck slumped against the wall, with entire panels of armour plating torn and ripped away, and not cleanly either. Wires and cables were frayed and damaged, holes were punched all the way through her body, acidic burns and cuts all the way down to her protoform littered across her frame, though it seemed her helm had been barely touched.
Yet she was still alive.
She had been here somewhat of a long time, as shown by the extensive corrosion that engulfed most of her armour, yet her spark still functioned and continued to send power throughout her body, though the energon it used as a conductor was barely there, and still continued to leak fast, which put her life in fatal danger.

As he spotted her with his normal vision, he bent down so that he could see her better. She did not look great, or even remotely good at all. So many wounds and holes through her body. It was like if she had become that sort of .. what did the humans call it again?.. Cheese? Yes, cheese. She looked like that cheese with a lot of holes in it. This reminded him of the time in the holo-sim, except that had been paint and this was the real deal. He frowned behind his mask as he moved closer to observe everything.
He was right next to her now, the ball of energon in his servo illuminating the small area they sat on, making it a plesant blue color. Making a split second decision, he pushed the big ball straight into her spark, while also shooting through with some extra. That would keep her from bleeding out for now at least and it freed up his servo. Grabbing her firmly, he lifted her up and held her broken mess of a body in his arms. Sky walked out so that nothing was above him while looking down at his best friend that he carried.
Look who is back. What the frag did you do, Dashy? Hold on, this might get bumpy.
He chuckled slightly as his big tank cannons turned downwards, and began charging a bit. He felt how the power was coming, shifting through his body towards the cannons. This would maybe hurt later but it was worth it. With a loud roar, two beams of energon erupted from his cannons, obliterating the rock they were standing on while sending Sky and Dash upwards, towards the surface. It went at a moderate pace and by that, it meant that they were going upwards with a speed that if they had been out of the water, they would get hurt if they hit anything. Now they were in water though, so they should be fine. Sky just hoped that it was fast enough.
They broke through the water with a loud splash before Sky turned off the beams. The three aerialbots fired three grappling hooks on him and flew back into the new bridge, setting Sky down once they were all inside and headed to the medbay.
