I found this story in my drafts, not sure if I'll continue it. Hopefully you enjoy it! ^-^
Wake Up
“Father? Where is Mother? She has been gone a few days now... Will she be bringing back some energon?” A small and weak voice called out from the corner of a darkened cell, innocence clear in it’s tone. Chains rattled as the thin figure crawled up towards a much larger and heavily shackled beast. The chains made a snapping noise as they reached their limit, the smaller figure yelped when she couldn’t go any further. “Father!” She cried, “Why can’t I be near you?”
It pained the mech to hear his daughter’s cries for her mother- His sparkmate. He tried to move his helm to face her but the chains were restricting and held him still. The little one’s mother would not be returning, he could feel it in his spark, the pain and the emptiness. “Quiet yourself little one... Take some time to rest, you’ll need it.” His words were muffled as he was wearing a muzzle. A snarl silenced the sparkling as she tried to cry out again.
An hour passed, and another voice spoke softly once he was sure the younger one was sleeping. “Smokejaw, you will have to tell her eventually. She can’t go on not knowing much longer.”
“I will, but here is not the place.” Smokejaw remained quiet for a moment, “Howler, I have a favour to ask of you and your brother... I won’t blame you if you choose not to accept.”
“Go on, I’m listening.”
“I need to get her out of here, it’s not safe. Tonight, when the staff unchain me to fight, I need you two to make as much noise and trouble as you can. Create a diversion so we can leave.”
“I fail to see how that is a large favor?”
“They won’t let all of us leave, you and your kin will have to stay behind... I don’t know what will happen to you two when they find out what’s happened.”
Howler remained silent for a bit, the only noises coming from his direction was metal tapping on metal. His brother was incapable of hearing, the only way to pass on the message was through a series of taps. He nodded and Howler spoke once more, “For the sake of the clan, we will accept the risks.”
“For the sake of the clan.” Smokejaw echoed. To have such loyalty from his clanmates honored him, just as much as it saddened him.

“Come’n you lousy piece of scrap!” An average sized mech kicked at Smokejaw’s torso in an attempt to get him to move. “We ain’t got all day!” He had finished removing all of the beast’s shackles.
“Well I do.” Smokejaw replied in a low snarl before turning on his keeper, his large jaws clamping down on their shoulder and throwing them to the ground before standing and stomping down on their chest. Sparks flied as the keeper’s eyes dimmed. He turned to face the sparkling that now had terror in her white optics. “Come with me child, you need to get your strength up.” The mech motioned at the corpse with one of his secondary wings.
“N-no...” She backed away, tripping over her chains.
“Now is not the time for disobedience.” Smokejaw approached the sparkling and bit down on the collar around her neck. It cracked under pressure and with a quick tug it broke off. He gently bit down on the back of his daughter's neck, picking her up and then dropping her beside the corpse. “I said eat.”
The femme whined before hesitantly tearing into the damaged parts of the dead mech. Mother had always brought her smaller pieces when she hunted, not the entire creature. She wiped her muzzle with the back of her paw once she took her fill.
“Good, please do your best to stay quiet.” Smokejaw picked up the sparkling again, nodding at the other two predacons before sprinting out the open door. He had made it to one of the exits when the shrieks and roars started. Howler and his brother were either creating those noises for the distraction, or they had been attacked. Smokejaw hoped it wasn’t the latter part. This is for the sake of the clan. At least he hoped it was. He didn’t dare look back as he broke through the exit, taking flight once he made it out.
Smokejaw did a scan of the area as he flew over, unsure of where he was, let alone what planet he was on. With his strong senses he was able to detect that most of the area was filled with other lifeforms. The mech considered this a hazard and continued to fly, in search of a quiet place to raise his child.
