" The Decepticon leader, Backbeat, has begun his most ambitious and destructive plan yet. Armed with horrific chemicals designed to induce insanity in all who come into contact... Backbeat sets his sights on global destruction. Only the Autobots can even hope to stop the machinations of the evil Decepticons...
But can the Autobots survive not only an outside invasion... But the danger within their very minds? "
After being "encouraged" (forced at gun point) to stop putting off an explanation of my latest scheme. Basically, Backbeat's attempting another "world domination" plot. But this time, an old weapon from the Transformers Universe Rp is being pulled out of oblivion to cause trouble and provide a bit of nostalgia for those who used to be on that site (or because that's where the dart landed on the evil scheme board.)
Stuff to know:
"Crazy gas": This unknown chemical is designed to mess with the electrical impulses in mechanical brain models and organic brains. The gas form of the chemical will seep into any cracks in the victim's armor ranging from battle damage to simple seams for transformation. Exposure to even a small amount of the chemical will cause hallucinations and metal damage. Currently little to nothing is know about this chemical except it's name.

This explains so much but so little at the same time

Congrats, Backbeat, you have successfully told us everything we already knew about the gas.
Unfortunately, the only thing it'll make Whirl hallucinate is that he is once again perfectly sane.

TL;DR: Currently little to nothing is know about crazy gas except it's name, and Backers wants to spread it everywhere.
Well, I can add something: small molecules because it's a gas and it's a mixture of two gases. (Not very useful, I know. But it might help the sciency Bots make a cure faster.)
Come on, Backbeat: ways to counter it, how it works, whether it will work on bots with weird brains, etc.

Well, let's see, it's a gas. It's still dependent on wind factors, bomb or no. It will have a maximum range before it dissipates and should dilute over that time. It should likely be affected by other outside factors like rain and snow. It sounds like he wants it as a neurotoxin, but even getting in cracks shouldn't actually get it to the mind through electric impulses, mostly because cables and other wiring in transformers bodies should have basic coating over it. And it also sounds like it has a bit of Cosmic Rust if it is to effect metal.
And the thing with getting it into cracks and wounds, gas is still passive unless directly inhaled. Yeah, the corrosive agent would help and could cause even more problems then the brief burst of insanity. As for a full body counter? Full body gels to catch it and neutralize it with a catalyst. Compressed air, like scuba tanks to keep a low level air burst to keep all holes clear, as a constant vent without using the external intakes. Filters over the intakes and exhausts. Closing all your vents.

This is why I try to avoid explaining anything involving my schemes... Because as soon as I do, everyone starts planning ways to counter it "out of character" that always seem leak into "in character" and removes the excitement. I know people don't do it consciously, but it still happens. Here is all I will say... -Besides, how do you all know I'm using the gas form? -You'll get to see the effect on a vehicon ( the most standard subject ever in science) well before anyone important gets affected... Yes you Autobots will get to keep the victims to try to find a cure. -It's a fictional gas, I'm trying to skim over and real details except for the very basic to avoid Voodoo sharking this any further so we can have a fun little plot. It's a gas from another universe, who knows what kind of properties it could really have. The main points are, it's bad and the Autobots have to stop it. -How it affects characters is up to the player themselves, I've just sort of given a ground rule or two. -Save the attempts to make solutions for "in character" talk, I'm really sick of my plans being foiled by OOC talk.

Now that I'm rereading this, I kind of have an idea as to why there are sea vehicon pirate things (I know, very scientific for someone that plays a genius bot).

Because while Backbeat's dealing with Deathwish's rebellion at the moment... He's tricked the Autobots into dealing with another band of traitors.
