The Painted Desert is a desert of badlands in the Four Corners area and stretches from the Grand Canyon National Park to the Petrified Forest National Park. The namesake of this desert comes from the stratified layers of different kinds of rock and soil, which provide the various colors found in this region.

A groundbridge opens and Stormcutter walks out into the bright sun of the desert holding the still sleeping Scaag. Though he suspected that the bright sun wouldn't leave the sparkling sleeping for long. Regardless, he used his free servo to cover the sparkling from the severe sunlight. Which was already heating up his dark paint job.
Panacea walked out of the groundbridge after her brother and exvented as the groundbridge closed behind her.
"Why did you chose this place? I'm gonna melt while we wait for that old medic!"
Stormcutter sent a message with the co-ordinates to Chiro then turned to Panacea.
"Scaag apparently enjoys painting. What better place for an artist to draw inspiration from than a place called the Painted Desert?"
"You didn't actually have to answer that... Wait... You actually like the little sparkling?!"
Panacea frowned as she crossed her arms. She wished that she was wrong, but she could feel it from his spark. He could never hide that from her.
Stormcutter said nothing as he continued shielding Scaag from the harsh sun. He himself was beginning to heat up so he activated his rotors to create a small, localized breeze.

Scaag was beginning to stir a little. He wws waking up from his short, but very needed, sleep. He groaned a little bit as he opened his optics and looked around. What he saw made him a bit disappointed. A painted desert, this wasn't painted. Just gray and brown in different shades. He had been tricked. Well, two could play that game, He would trick them back! But how?.... He thought for a little bit before an idea came to mind. Why not use sounds? This looked like a good place to do it. By sending out sounds towards the surrounding rocks, it would sound like it came from all around them, and as he used recordings from radio, the twins wouldn't recognize his voice. Perfect! He thought a bit more about how he would do it before putting his plan into motion, the twins might hear him too, but the other sounds would be much louder.
Stop right there! You are surrounded, drop your weapons and put your hands where we can see them! I'll give you ten seconds before opening fire! 1.... 2.... 3..10!
This all came from some story that someone had read out loud. And with real voice actors so it did sound real and when it ended, the sound of gunfire was heard too as the 10 had been said.

Panacea hastily looked around as she heard the voice echo off the walls of the canyon. She called out in response to the voice, trying to interrupt the person.
"Wh-What? We don't have any weapons out! HEY! Wait a min-AAH!"
Panacea ducked behind Stormcutter, unsure of where the voice and bullets were coming from. Panacea was utterly confused and half scared.
Stormcutter stood his ground and shielded Scaag in his arms from the unknown threat. He immediately dropped his visor down and activated his long-range scanners to try to locate where the threat was coming from. Instead of the location, he got a lot of noise from the canyon structure. However, a moment later he realized that not a single bullet had touched him. He frowned behind his mask and looked around carefully at the canyon ridge, slightly perplexed and confused.
Then the echo distortions began. As the main sound subsided, echos continued throughout the canyon, slowly fading with each iteration.
Panacea looked up and then stood, noticing that not a single bullet had even approached them.
"What...? What was that?!"

The familiar green vortex of a groundbridge opened up and Chiro walked out, right as the sound began to play. She was maybe fifty meters away from the Twins and Scaag as the groundbridge closed behind her. She half panicked as she heard the gunfire and instinctively activated her energon shield to protect herself. Unfortunately, she was way to far away to protect the others.
Then the sound subsided into echos. Chiro looked towards the Twins and noted that they seemed unharmed and confused. She registered that her energon shield had taken no damage and so she deactivated it. Whatever had just happened… didn't actually happen. She exvented and then walked towards the Twins as she heard Panacea question what just happened.
"It would seem a trick has just been played on all of us."
Chiro calmly stated as she stopped about half way there. However, her Spark was anything but calm. Here she was, facing those she once considered her children, in a situation where they held her current child captive, even if Scaag didn't know it as such. She saw the Decepticon insignia on their armor, confirming what she already assumed from Scaag's description earlier. Part of her wanted to hope, the other part of her assumed the worst. Which part of her was correct, there was only one way to find out. In the back of her processor, she wished that this was all just a nightmare, but she knew it wasn't. It was very much real and she prayed to Primus that, if nothing else, Scaag would make it home to the Autobot base alive.
Chiro watched their every move carefully, prepared to take action if need be.

Scaag giggled a bit as he enjoyed the reaction from his siblings. He would try another thing to see if that worked too. Just as he was about tonstart it, he could see something familjar between the digits of Stormcutter. It was Chiro, bis mother! So instead of his original prank, he just shouted and played a very high pitched scream, saying the same thing.
MOMMY!
He basically just created a huge sonic wave that went out to the rock walls and then back towards everyone in the small area. It could have the negative effect that rocks and such would start to break and fall but Scaag didn't know that. Now he was just excited to see her again so he tried to get free, jump down on the ground and run over to her.

Taking note of Chiro's arrival, Panacea forced herself to quickly recover and put on a collected demeanor, a farce as she was anything but calm. All of her hatred burned within her Spark towards the old femme who stood before her. She wanted nothing but to see Chiro suffer and then watch the light in Chiro's optics dim to nothingness. To relish the moment when the cause of all her pain was no more. But for now, she had appearances to keep.
Stormcutter knew what Panacea really wanted. He could feel it emenating strongly through their Spark connection. But unknown and hidden from Panacea, he had different feelings. Despite all his efforts to keep his emotions in check, hope had reignited in his spark the moment he saw Chiro. Hope for having his family whole again, but with the new addition of a little brother. He remembered the promise he had made to Chiro long ago, but now he wondered if he could keep it. His Spark completely torn emotionally, he stayed silent and observed.
"'Mother' arrives at last! So good to see- ARGH!"
Panacea had stepped forward towards Chiro, smirking at a small plan in the back of her processor. However, she was forced to cover her audio receptors -in vain- as the loud, high pitched sound echoed through the canyon.
Stormcutter willingly let the squirming Scaag go. He knew Scaag was innocent in this situation and he didn't want to hold the young sparkling against his will. However, he regretted letting the sparkling out of his protection as soon as the original sound Scaag had made began to echo powerfully throughout the canyon.
In response to the echo of the sound, loose rocks and gravel shifted and larger rocks broke off the upper part of the canyon on either side with loud explosions of shifting earth. The numerous large and dangerous rocks tumbled downwards towards the Cybertronians below, the loud impacts of rock hitting rock echoing throughout the canyon.

Chiro calmly watched Panacea's act. She knew the young femme had ulterior motives. Even though she hadn't seen Panacea in a long time, she could still read the young medic's body language like a blueprint. All Chiro needed to do was to get Scaag out of the situation unharmed...
And then then Scaag called out to her.
Chiro watched as Stormcutter let the excited sparkling go from his grip seconds before the echos of Scaag's scream triggered a rock-slide down to where they all stood in the valley. She had winced at the overpowering sound and when she recovered, it was like a nightmare situation to her. She knew she was too far to reach Scaag in time. But she had to try.
Chiro dug her pedes into the sandy ground as she tried to start off in a sprint towards Scaag. The loose sand and dirt beneath her pedes shifted more than she expected, making her stumble at first. She quickly picked herself back up and tried to continue towards her son. She reached out a servo to the sparkling she was trying to reach, praying to Primus in the back of her processor that Scaag would somehow make it through this alive.
"Scaaaaag!"

The little sparkling was completely unaware of the tumbling rocks and even if he was, it wouldn't have bothered him now that his mother was here. He just kept skipping towards her happily. He knew something was happening from the sounds the others made, but it surely wasn't anything important. Scaag just kept skipping, running, rolling and just simply trying to get to Chiro as fast as possible.
Hi mommy!

Panacea looked up at the rumbling sounds in time to register what was going on. If there was one thing she knew how to do well from being a field medic, it was how to dodge. She pulled out her Electo Ion Blaster to blast away the rocks she couldn't dodge for one reason or another. She knew she wouldn't get out of the situation unharmed, but at least she could mitigate it. Ignoring what was going on with Stormcutter, she jumped, rolled, and flipped her way out of danger, occasionally getting hit by a stray rock after blasting a larger one to pieces. She did get knocked over at one point when she wasn't looking behind her often enough, which made her panic as she scrambled to get back to her feet without getting crushed.
Stormcutter knew he had to make a split second decision, one that was not easy to make, yet at the same time what he knew was the honorable thing to do. He took a few large steps and dove over Scaag to protect him as the rocks reached them all. He grunted in pain as each of the large, heavy rocks collided into his thick armor from both sides of the canyon. Despite all the dents and the increasing weight that put a strain on his joints and hydraulics, he held firm as to not let Scaag get crushed.
"Art... Art thou alright... Scaag?"
As the dust began to settle, Panacea found herself standing on a large pile of precariously balanced rock and rubble. She scowled as she realized what happened. A small pang of betrayal crossed her Spark as she realized that Stormcutter had made no real move to help protect her like he normally did. As she processed why, she made no move to help Stormcutter out of the rubble. But she knew he could handle himself anyway.
"Well, well, well..."

Chiro knew she needed to change gears and protect herself. First, she rolled out of the way of the boulder tumbling directly at her. She pulled out one of her Cybertronian Blasters and set it to full power, immediately using it to blast another large rock. She then fired a grappling hook up at a solid edge of the canyon that she could see between the falling rocks. She used the grappling line as leverage to haul herself up onto and between rocks as they passed. She did not escape unscathed, however. She had many dents and scrapes due to split second decisions based on what she could see through the dust cloud.
When the rocks finished falling, Chiro found herself to be about half way up the canyon wall. She looked down at the valley below that now had a fresh, thick, layer of rocks and rubble. She saw Panacea farther down, but didn't see any sign of Stormcutter or Scaag. A moment of pain shot through her Spark at the thought of loosing both of them. She called out and heard her own voice echo through the disturbed canyon.
"Scaag! Stormcutter!"
After a moment of echoed-filled silence, Chiro realized that Scaag had to still be alive due to the fact that she was still alive and not in the center of a nuclear explosion. She didn't like to think of Scaag that way, but she couldn't deny the fact that it was a unique feature that Skyspray made impossible to remove.
With hope returning to her Spark, Chiro slowly rappelled back down the canyon wall as she flipped down her visor to try to scan and locate the two mechs. She carefully made her way to where she located them and began to dig through the rubble as best she could.

A space bridge would open, gaping wide enough in the sky to allow a particular vehicon to crawl through--and his figure would fall through after a final heave done on his part--much to his regret. It was sad, to realize that after all his toiling, all his effort, he was now going to fall four hundred feet. The vehicon outfield his servos, his single eye that shown through his broken right side of his mask glowing a shocked light.
The vehicon knew he would have to act fast as he streaked through the air, his downfall causing a whistling and causing his battered parts to rattle. Ground bridging to randomized coordinates had been a bad idea, despite the new 'safety'. The vehicon was mostly black and grey, though his other features were indistinct. The vehicon would continue to fall--
<Fuel reserves at 70%
The vehicon knew he had enough energon to use his equipment to activate his thruster equipment as to prohibit him from slamming into the ground. He would endeavor this, but the pack on his back would sputter--it had taken too much damage. Hence the vehicon would continue to fly in a free-forall, flying for the indistinct form of the bots below. The vehicon didn't have it in him to speak just yet--as the distance between him and the ground was reduced to yards, his jet-pack would at last cough to life, only increasing his speed. Hence he now rocketed for the ground, his plummet being enhanced. The vehicon would smash right into the ground, causing rocks to scatter in all directions (possibly unburying the bots covered in rocks) before his form bounced off the rock, causing the mech to shout in agony. His troubles weren't over yet though. He would collide into another rock formation not far away, causing more rocks to fly, as well as his armor and pieces. Needless to say, as the mech at last came to a halt by shuddering into a rocky hillside, his jet pack would no longer function.
Rubble, smoke, and dust would prohibit anyone from seeing the dark mech's distinct features--it was only evident by the dim glow and formation of what was left of his visor, he was a vehicon, groaning as he felt his injuries.

Scaag hadn't paid attention to what happened around him when Stormcutter threw himself over him. At first, he didn't understand why. He was running towards mommy, and now his brother stopped him! Stupid brother... It was first when he could hear, and slightly feel as it became quite an impact, the rocks that impacted towards Stormcutter and around them. He wouldn't lie, it did make him a little scared and he stopped in his tracks and looked up at his much bigger sibling.
Uhm... Yeah? I am alright. I think...
He said carefully before looking out again. He could only see rocks and stones, nothing that was worth his attention. He looked up again and thought for a moment. What should they do now? He had heard someone saying something but he had no idea what. At that moment, something came smashing into the rocks above him and the force sent him tumbling away a little with a terrified "Eeeep!" But now the rocks were gone, at least that much sonthat he could crawl out, which he did. He could see the two femmes around him and he waved to both of them before looking towards the smoking pile a bit away. That peaked his curiosity and he decided to check it out. He transformed into his bomb mode and began to roll towards the crash site, dodging boulders and other debris.
When he got there, he slowly approaced the thing that had crashed and found that it was another person, it was just looking a bit bare. It was also a bit dull, so he decided to paint it. So he began to do that too. And he totally didn't use some of the corrosive paint that he totally hadn't taken from Chiro's secret lab when he had been in there. Because that was a ridiculous thought, right? At least it became a nice shade of green....

A groundbridge opens nearby and a green sports car drives thru. Tallymark followed both the road ahead, and the energy signal of his target.
Once he saw the the smoke and dust coming from a rock formation in the distance, he knew this would be a quick hunt. Tallymark speeds up as he drove towards the rock formation.

Panacea looked up as she heard the sound of a jetpack sputter when activate. She watched the mech collide into the area where her brother was buried, bounce off, then subsequently collide into another formation near her. She looked back up to the sky, wondering where the mech had come from for a moment. If there was one thing that the injured mech could possibly be thankful for after falling from the sky, it should be that fact that he just landed near three medics, even if they weren't all on the same side. When she looked back to where the mech landed, she saw Scaag painting him. She scowled. Why did that little mech have to paint everything?
"Scaag! Stop painting him! Can't you see he's injured?!"
Panacea yelled at the sparkling and ran over to the mech's side. She picked Scaag up and took the "paint" away from him, noticing that it was a can labeled to contain corrosive acid as she did so. She gasped and quickly stashed the can of acid into her subspace to prevent Scaag from using it again. She looked the sparkling square in the optics. She didn't care if she hurt the sparkling's feelings or not anymore.
"This isn't paint, this is acid! Now go run off to Chiro before you cause more trouble!"
After setting Scaag aside to let him scamper off, Panacea pulled out her medkit and began to quickly, but carefully, wipe the acid off the mech's armor with clean, absorbent cloths. Once she cleaned off the acid as much as possible, she would carefully pull the injured vehicon out of the side of the hill and began to patch him up. She first would seal any energon leaks and then little by little worked on his more severe injuries.
Panacea half expected Chiro to come over and help. At the moment, she didn't care if the older medic did or not. Acting on her hatred for the older femme would have to wait either way. She had a patient and he was her priority right now, even if he was a Vehicon.
Stormcutter, on the other hand, groaned from where he lay after all the rocks suddenly shifted from the sudden impact. He was still half buried, but he noticed that Scaag managed to get away with little to no harm. Glad his little brother was safe, he hauled himself out from under the rocks and looked around briefly from where he now sat on top of the rocks. Seeing Panacea tending to an injured mech, Stormcutter pulled out one of his energon grenades and tossed it over to her, timing it to activate as it landed. Even though he couldn't do much more to help, especially given his sister was already on the job, the energon grenade would at least provide some energy to the injured mech.
Stomcutter then examined his own condition. He needed help himself, but he would last until they got back to the base. He had no idea where the injured mech came from, so he stood up and kept watch over the situation, in case he needed to defend the other medics. He was also curious as to what his sister would do if Chiro offered to help. Given the old medic's long-standing oath to aid all who were injured, regardless of faction, he knew that it was an inevitable situation.

Chiro heard the sound of a jetpack starting above them and looked up in time to realize what was going on and jump out of the way. She fell backwards more as the rocks were blasted in all directions, a few hitting her in the process. She got back up onto her pedes and processed what had just happened. At first, she went over to examine Stormcutter, but then she heard Panacea yelling at Scaag. Chiro exvented and went over to Panacea, Scaag, and the injured mech. She picked Scaag up momentarily to hug him, knowing full well that Panacea's scolding likely upset him. With as gentle a tone as possible, she gave him something to do.
"Scaag, I need to help Panacea repair this injured mech. In the mean time, I want you to go over to Stormcutter and... show him how to paint pretty pictures like you do. Once I'm done, we'll go back home. Okay?"
Chiro then put Scaag back down towards Stormcutter and turned back to help Panacea in repairing the Vehicon. She worked on the other side of the mech from Panacea, repairing what she could given they were using their field kits and were not in a proper medbay. But given the mech's condition, she knew they needed to stabilize him well enough to be moved to a medical facility.

The vehicon would clench his fists tightly that the sounds of metal screeching against metal could be heard, as the acid began to bite into his armor. Actually, most of his armor had been stripped from him, the remains tattered like a ripped piece of cloth, his armor layers broken, cracked, fragments falling as the acid burned and the smoke cleared. He had been a seeker. His wings were but shredded stubs, his shoulder and leg armor dangling by small pieces, hanging in balance by mere luck. It wouldn't take much to take or brush off the remaining armor.
The vehicon's mask on the right side had been torn opened as well, revealing his eye on the other side of his flickering yellow visor. The mech's optic had large rock pieces shoved into his optic, the socket bleeding liquids and drizzling down his faceplate, and back into his masks broken filter. He was charred, stained with energon, and yet all his limbs were intact. The armor torn revealed an immensely scarred protoform, that held great and long scars, three-pronged and four printed. From further examination, it would seem the mech had taken many bites from insecticons, predicons, and these creatures had endeavored to rip him or skewer him open. And yet, his protoform indicated that this had never occurred. It had not been penetrated ever before, despite the wear and tear.
No energon bled from him, save from the optic which rock had gouged itself into. The mech was not missing a single limb, but he was incredibly scarred. He would slowly raise his helm, before static would emit from his mask.
"Cannnn't seee---Tzzzzsh--I'm---Tzzzsh---Not enough energy." The vehicon would look right at Panacea, then Chiro. What looked like where his vehicon horn-spikes would curve back was also ruined, save one. He was hearing just fine. His fists would unclench as Panacea would try to patch him up. "I---Tzzcht--" The vehicon would get into a coughing fit, as his servo that had been wiped from clenched his chest. Reading would read his spark was at dangerously low energies, emiting barely enough for the vehicon tog et enough energy. The mech knew what he needed, but it was hard to think due to slightly friend processor circuitry.
"Spark kick-starter! No time for ---TZZZCHT---'ther ness-ess-ities." It was clear he had figured out he was in the company of help, but he would gesture to the center of his chest. His voice was choked, sparking, and crackling as his mask would prohibit him from speaking or pronouncing things properly. He would need something electrical to boost his spark energies. Extra samples of energon would also be good--the one place the doctors would find on him that their needles wouldn't snap was a small hole in the back of his head--where some smoke was coming from due to the fried circuitry.

A green car pulls up in front of them and transforms. Tallymark aims his rifle at the wounded Cut-Up.
Now then, I don't want any of you lot playing the hero. Got it?
Tallymark would look at the doctors around Cut-Up

Scaag actually didn't know that the mech he was painting was hurt. It never occured to him before as no parts were off. It seemed very strange that there was such a fuss about it. And now she did it, she did the most horrible thing you could ever do.,, SHE TOOK AWAY HIS PAINT! Now Scaag was really furious, you simply didn't do that. He was about to retort when Chiro scooped him up and hugged him. He of course hugged her back but was in a much more grumpy mood than usual.
Mhm.. Go home. Away from her, she is a glitch.
Scaag said before he was set down again. And when he was, he pulled out the other canister that he had taken from the lab and quickly dashed forwards and behind the medics. Then he began to paint the back of Panacea as much as he could and reached. He called the color: Crunchy brown because the things that got painted with it turned brown and got crunchy. Then he added some paint to the vehicon before darting away again. But he darted into Tallymark and rolled around a little. Then he saw the gun and squealed a little, threw the rest of his paint Rust-fluid at him before running screaming in the other direction, blasting noises as loud as he could.
