After discussion with a few people, I have decided to revamp the T-Virus event.
The underlying story of the event is as follows.
Long before Cybertron's golden age, it's society was dictated entirely by Religion. Everyone thought this was the way forward, but some didn't agree. They, were the Malaids (MA-LA-IDS). The Malaids believed that science and technology was the way forward, and their different ideals led them to be ridiculed, shunned, so they left Cybertron, never to return. At this time, the Malaids had vastly superior technology to the rest of their race due to their focus on it rather than praying to Primus. Throughout the Golden age they kept this lead, one that got even greater when the war began and the rest of the Transformers specialized their technology to fight their wars.
Tracking down the rest of their kind to Earth, the Malaids deployed their secret weapon..
The T-Virus. A swarm of nanites that fuse and mutate humans into new cybertronians, hybrids of man and machine (With no human features on show as it grants them new bodies entirely), with the intent of the third faction using them as an army, to destroy both Autobot and Decepticon alike, and then sell off their new elites for the highest bidder, and even use them theirselves to take over other planets.
With their first target in site, the Malaids would deploy a large forcefield over an area of a city that stops anything getting in or out, and in seconds pumps in the T-Virus, fusing nearby humans in the forcefield into the Hybrids.
But something went wrong.
Fear and Willpower are big motivators, and such massive quantities of these emotions caused overloads, short-circuiting control and leaving the new hybrids running around in fear and confusion, tearing apart buildings and cities. The Malaids deploy Overseers in response, Natural Cybertronians under their control who excel in combat with aid from their master's superior technology, killing the Hybrids not under their control and controlling those that are.
The attacks soon become more frequent and start to happen globally, but with this more and more evidence is left behind. Both sides are soon able to locate the Malaid base and can assault it together or die alone at the hands of it's superior fire power and technology, but once inside the core is vulnerable and upon it's destruction no more Hybrids are created and with a bit of searching the formula might be found.
Despite the loss of their base and army, the Malaids survive the conflict, their thirst for revenge stronger than before. And they will return.
The T-Virus, in short is an event to try and breathe a bit of life back into the Roleplay with both factions able to pursue Hybrid outbreaks. Decepticons might seek to use the new cybertronians as slaves/soldiers and maybe even try to find how to make more of them. The Autobots on the other hand should try and save as many as possible whilst researching a cure.
If it goes ahead, after the first outbreak you will be able to apply to be an Overseer or a Hybrid. Overseers are Cybertronians who are adept in killing and feel no remorse when they do.
The T-Virus works IC'ly by using nanomachines capable of bonding to organic matter, and by extension fuse organic matter to themselves, whic is how they merge humans into the Hybrids. They are able to convert them into Cybertronians because within each nanite is a bit of organic matter, midway through the process of turning into Cybertronian matter, and is kept this way because the nanite induces stasis within itself, and uses this as a template for the cells bonded to the nanomachinery, but because it isn't in an induced stasis, the process completes itself, turning them all the way from humans to cybertronians with gestalt minds.
The Malaid's "superior" technology OOC'ly isn't all that superior. It does the same amount of damage as a normal weapon of it's tech spec, but just functions more efficiently and has more unique features, such as more exotic weapon ideas.
