The newly created Decepticon prison known as 'Last Spark' was created with the purpose of replacing the Nemesis brig, this is due to a number of escape attempts threatening the safety of the Decepticon HQ. Although maybe not necessary the prison is equipped to hold thousands of prisoners within the Low Security Cells, will dozens of more dangerous prisoners can be held within the MSC's (Maximum Security Cells) and similar higher security cells. This requires a huge structure that is numerous miles in width, length and depth.
Last Spark is situated somewhere in the Sahara Desert, although due to the size of the desert their is no denying that finding the prison would be a noteworthy task. This task is only further complicated because the Decepticon prison is located 17,500 meters (10.87 miles) underground. For prisoners within this makes escape almost impossible as the prison itself has no direct connection to the surface world, it instead relies on a number of hardwired groundbridges that allow travel to anywhere else on the planet, will groundbridge jamming technology prevents intruders from arriving through groundbridges.
The prison has a number of defence systems both from prison riots as well as outside interference. Within the prison hundreds of vehicon soldiers work alongside the quick and cheaply produced decepticlone drones reducing prisoners chances of escaping through riots. In the case that the massive security force is compromised or encounters resistance the prison itself is equipped with security systems including identity coded turrets and blast doors/walls. Outside of the prison walls a large cavern was formed with numerous support structures to prevent cave in's. This however created a potential staging area for attackers and a shield generator was formed to protect the prison facility, although it only prevents enemy fire rather than cybertronians and as such it possible for a group to drill into the facility, though not without being under heavy fire from the defence systems.
Since Last Spark is a huge facility it requires a centralised communications system which has resulted in a large spire that forms both a comms tower and hub. Within the comms hub a number of dedicated staff focus on ensuring reliable comm signals throughout the facility as well as keeping a direct comm link to the Nemesis in case of a need for reinforcements. Not only that but the room also functions as the security room due to holding the video footage of all the cameras within the prison. This large tower is capable of intercepting enemy transmissions and therefore makes radio silence necessary for infiltrating the prison, however the difficulty provided to infiltrating the facility is counteracted by the advantage gained from capturing the communication hub. Since capturing the hub would disorganize the prison forces as well as providing tactical information both through the uplink to Decepticon comms and security cameras.
One interesting feature of the 'Last Spark' facility is that the base was created with the use of a massive groundbridge core at it's structure, this effectively encompasses the entire facility once activated. This interesting design feature actually allows the prison to be transported to one of dozens of similar caverns created deep under the sahara desert, ensuring that if the prison is confirmed to be located by Autobot forces it can be quickly relocated.
Alongside these noteworthy features 'Last Spark' of course has a number of other features that would be expected of a prison of it's size and purpose. This includes an armoury what not only holds more dangerous weaponry for the security forces but also all confiscated prisoner items. Will elsewhere in the prison a number of interrogation cells have been set up for information gathering from prisoners (otherwise known as 'Interrogation'), due to the brutal techniques associated both with interrogation as well as the holding of Decepticon prisoners their is no wonder than a rather large medbay facility is held within the prison. As well as a wardens office for the lucky warden of the prison (although their is currently no player playing as the Warden and I'm unsure if it will become a playable role)
This prison's massive size and range of facilities makes the requirement of a power generator that more necessary as the massive machine provides energy to the huge prison. Without it the prison is sent into a form of blackout as all energy is cut off throughout the facility including defence systems, to ensure some sense of security however all the blast doors are activated within the facility making traversing the area difficult.
