Whistling.
Bright flame.
The whistling quickly deepened, into a louder sound, a growl almost.
The louder sound of crushing swiftly followed, as a large metallic object impacted the ground, forming a crater of cracked metal beneath it.
It was white, shaped like a pod with a single, small window accompanied by railings either side of it. It radiated heat, clearly from entering the atmosphere, but from where? Where had the pod come from? A distant planet? The Trypticon station? The depths of outer space?
A hiss arose in the air, as coolant was rapidly dispersed into it. Steam followed up, steam venting from the pistons that shifted the plates, the plates that receded and split into smaller plates. More steam now, as more pistons continued to pull the plates away, revealing a door.
And on that door was that same small window.
By now the arrival of the pod screaming through the atmosphere had alerted a nearby leaper, for you should know, this pod hadn't just crashed anywhere on Cybertron, it had crashed in the middle of Decepticon territory. He walked closer, bearing witness to the transformation of the pod, bearing witness as the pod door split open vertically, releasing another cloud of steam and coolant, forming a screen of gas that barely showed a figure looming behind it.
The figure was feminine and short. Easy pickings the Leaper thought to himself as his rear-mounted boosters began to heat, ready for him to make his strike. The cloud lifted, revealing the little girl, barely into her teens behind it. Her armor was a bright shade of yellow, a colour accompanied and emboldened by the black markings that covered her body, the patterning of them almost tribal.
By now the Leaper couldn't believe his luck, this would be easy! How could it even be easier? She was just a girl, harmless and most of all defenseless. Confusion filled her faceplate, where was she? What had she done to deserve this? To be no only abandoned by her parents but betrayed! Locking her away in this pod to travel the stars for eternity! What had she done?
Now the Leaper knew that he had the chance, now was the time to strike! Hot jets of plasma burst from his thrusters, launching him into the sky, propelling him towards his prey. Wrist blade extended, angled forward, he couldn't wait for the satisfying sound of skewering his target. If he had lips he would lick them. He was almost there now, just a little further and...
