Hey, everyone. Concerned general forum user CappedBitlet here again, today to discuss the topic of mature content on the forums. Mature content: what constitutes "mature" content? Where and how is it not only allowed, but also appropriate on the forums?
First, the meaning of "mature content": what should be considered 'mature'? Any content that has a more developed sense of humor or intended meaning targeted toward an older audience is technically 'mature.' This means, specifically, that it is not appropriate for younger audiences. This forum has users belonging to a wide range of ages, from preteens to full-blown adults- and because of that there are rules in place by the staff against a certain nature of content that would be inappropriate for our younger audience to read. Taken directly from the post of rules, it states:

This is in relation to in-character mature content, or "adult-related role-playing." It seems pretty simple, doesn't it? But it's deceptively complicated. Roleplayers each have their own idea of what's adult, and what's not. Because of this, many players like to skirt the bounderies of the rules, going far enough for other roleplayers to question the content of their posts, but not enough to warrant immediate attention from the site's staff. Although not always intentional, it's a case of a player bringing into question just how far is too far; trying to define just how much they can get away with in their writing where innuendo and questionably appropriate content is concerned.
Why is that?
The site is designed with these rules in place not to stifle creativity or limit routes for character development. These rules are in place to safeguard younger readers. Readers who are young teens, preteens, or potentially younger may be viewing these forums- interacting with other fans of Transformers (which from TV shows such as Rescue Bots and Robots In Disguise 2k15, is not necessarily an adult series)- and it is our duty as representatives of this online Transformers fan community to provide a safe environment for these younger ones to find entertainment in. So again, why do people push the boundaries of what's appropriate for younger audiences, and what's not?
I call to action the members of this community; follow the rules. But don't just follow the rules. Follow the spirit of the rules. Consider what you're saying, and how it may impact a young reader who hasn't been subjected to the more serious matters of adult life. Consider their innocence, and respect boundaries in spirit, and in practice. Don't push boundaries- stay well behind them for the sake of those younger than you. Whether you know it or not, you may very well be their role models.
Stay safe. Have fun. And to the point, be appropriate.

Will we will accept to an extent violence, vulgar cybertronian language and gore there will be no exceptions to sexualised roleplaying on these forums. There may be relationships between OC's but please keep all over PG-13 love stories away from this site."
