((by popular demand, I will control the final actions of your Pokémon, you'll still order them as normal, but this'll add a bit more of a Pokémon feel if your Pokémon don't always react perfectly.))

"Natu, Zen Headbutt!"

Professor Mahogany was the first to act, pointing straight at the Chimchar in front of him as Natu flew high into the air, causing Chimchar to be distracted. Before Chimchar could react, Natu dove at high speeds, impacting straight into Chimchar's forehead, causing it to stagger as Natu landed again, Chimchar shaking away the disorientation as it stood it's ground. On the Right, the grunt laughed as Dray asked for what moves his Tirtouga could do.

"Hahaha, you don't even know what your moves are? Then this'll be easy. Shieldon, Tackle that Tirtouga!"

The Shieldon glared at Dray's Pokémon, Tirtouga panicking as it was without direction. Shieldon braced itself, ready to jump at Tirtouga when the voice of Professor Mahogany rang out. The Professor had taken his eyes off the battle for a moment to help Dray as Shieldon rocketed forward towards Tirtouga.

"Tirtouga, Withdraw!"

The Tirtouga quickly enclosed itself inside it's shell, the Shieldon impacting Tirtouga with a loud bang, but the Pokémon slid back to Dray's feet largely unharmed, shaking it's head, Tirtouga glared  at the Shieldon and fired a Water Gun of it's own accord, the Shieldon grimacing as the water made contact, the stream of cold water forcing it to back up, taking heavy damage from the super-effective attack.

The distraction of helping Dray cost Professor Mahogany as the Cubchoo suddenly used Powder Snow on Natu. The small bird attempted to dodge, but found it useless as the Ice attack froze it's wings in place, forcing Natu to land, shivering from the cold biting at it's joints and limbs. The Grunt in front of Melissa folded his arms and grinned beneath his bandana, Melissa watching motionless behind him as he made another order.

"Good work Cubchoo, Chimchar, finish it with Incinerate!"

Chimchar inhaled, ready to fire before it was suddenly sprayed with water, Tsukai's Seel firing at the Chimchar and stopping it from attacking. As the water rushed in a continuous stream, Seel stood on it's tail, extending it's front fins to it's sides, before bringing them together in a loud clapping motion within the stream of water. The clapping created a sonic wave that rushed down the stream of water, impacting Chimchar and sending an echoing ring to the Chimchar's ears, causing the Pokémon to lose it's orientation, swaying dizzily as it tried to focus on the Natu. In it's confused state however, the Chimchar's head hung limply as it used Incinerate, a plume of fire scorching itself, causing it to take more damage. With the two attacks prior, the Chimchar was unable to stay upright, crashing to the ground face-first, unable to continue. The grunt returned Chimchar to it's Pokeball, Melissa watching with the same listless eyes and soft, lazy smile.

Yorlam's Deerling faced down the pair as it raised it's front right leg, turning it's mouth towards it's own limb and blowing on the moss-like fur. A strange, haunting string of notes resembling a melody sounded out, causing the grunt to shield his ears. The Yamask blinked as it started to sway in time to the haphazard music, suddenly beginning to close it's eyes and fall asleep, floating to the ground slowly as it slept silently. In the moment of distraction however, Deerling was suddenly struck with a series of bluish-white bolts of electricity, the Mareep's wool crackling as it used Thunder Wave on Deerling, who grimaced and shakily strained to stay upright. Small sparks danced between the strands of the Deerling's fur, showing it had been Paralyzed as it occasionally flinched from the muscle spasms coursing through it's tiny body.

Archie's Psyduck stared deeply into the Venonat's compound eyes for a while, seeming at first to not notice it's Trainer's move, causing Venonat to tilt it's head slightly. Without warning though, Psyduck clutched it's head and cried out, a swirling beam of multi-coloured energy emerging from it's mouth and impacting the Venonat, causing it to flinch and sway for a second, before shaking it's head clear of the disorientation. The Grunt seemed unfazed, despite both his Pokémon having taken super-effective damage.

"Lets stop that from happening again. Venonat, Supersonic!"

Venonat let out a piercing cry, causing Psyduck to clutch it's head again. When the sound faded, Psyduck found it hard to keep balance, falling backwards as the whole room span around it, clearly hit with Confusion, causing the grunt to laugh at the spectacle. Behind the others Zain ordered his Fennekin forward, but the Fennekin just stared for a second before suddenly jumping sideways, directly  beside the paralyzed Deerling. Without warning, Fennekin shot forward readying a Scratch at the sleeping Yamask. Despite it's efforts, Fennekin's claws passed through Yamask without effect. Fennekin jumped back into line with Deerling, but suddenly felt strange, looking down, it saw some kind of strange material had wrapped itself around it's front legs, making Fennekin feel...weaker somehow.

Battle Status:

- Professor Mahogany's Natu has taken heavy damage from Cubchoo's Powder Snow

- Dray's Tirtouga has taken minor damage from Shieldon's Tackle, mitigated with Withdraw. Used Water Gun on it's own Accord on Shieldon and dealt heavy damage to it.

- Chimchar has been defeated by Natu's Zen Headbutt, Tsukai's Seel's Water Pulse and confusion damage. It has been returned to it's Pokeball.

- Yorlam's Deerling has used Grass Whistle to put Yamask to sleep, making it unable to act until it wakes up, but has been paralyzed by Mareep's Thunder Wave, it will find it more difficult to act for the remainder of the battle.

- Archie's Psyduck dealt Severe damage to Venonat with Psybeam, but is now Confused from Venonat's Supersonic. Psyduck may hurt himself rather than his opponent for the next few turns.

-Zain's Fennekin disobeyed Zain's direction and tried to Scratch the sleeping Yamask. The attack was ineffective and in doing so, Fennekin spread Mummy to itself, losing Blaze for the remainder of the battle.

"Venonat, finish it off with Sludge Bomb!"

Dray's Tirtouga braced itself as Venonat inhaled sharply, hopping up and down as it launched a glob of purple liquid at Tirtouga, drenching the Pokémon in stinging venom. Even with Tirtouga's Withdraws, the venom stung like a thousand needles, seeping into it's shell and bypassing it's physical defences, Tirtouga gritted it's teeth as it tried to hang on, suddenly feeling the stinging subside as the venom washed off. Tirtouga was breathless, sweating profusely from effort as it began to glow, feeling a surge of adrenaline as Tirtouga coalesced a glowing white ball in front of it's mouth, the sphere growing before shooting forth in a blinding white beam. Venonat was struck square in the head, knocked back and slamming into a filing cabinet on the far side, twitching as it was unable to get up.

The grunt returned Venonat to it's Pokeball as Archie's Psyduck merely laid there, watching the ceiling before it hopped up, walked over to Archie, and hit the button on it's Pokeball with it's own bill, leaving Archie standing there on his own. The grunt was out of Pokémon, but still stopped them from reaching the door as Melissa watched from the main entryway, turning her half-lidded eyes to the other side as Mareep tackled Zain's Fennekin.

With the damage it had taken before, Zain's Fennekin stood no chance as the Mareep crashed into the small fox, careening backwards to stop by Zain's leg as it struggled to get up, but collapsed within moments as the Grunt looked rather pleased with himself, until Yorlam's Deerling finally managed to raise it's leg and blow into it's mossy fur again, the Mareep staggering as it suddenly fell asleep, the plush wool of the Pokémon acting as a blanket as the grunt began to worry for his own fight, and his chances in Team Nexus.

Tsukai's Seel was again without orders, as Tsukai seemed to have become as frozen as the Pokémon involved, as Cubchoo Unleashed another Icy Wind on Seel. Despite the usual ineffectiveness of these attacks, Seel suddenly started to shiver, lowering it's body as it struggled to keep itself fully upright. Unlike the other two, this grunt was confident, Tsukai's Seel starting to falter while Cubchoo seemed to still be able to fight, if a little tired. Melissa watched with a lazy smile as she brought her hand up and rested her chin on the back of her wrist. Maybe this one had some potential. Professor Mahogany looked at the others as they started to simply not give out orders, this was bad, was the stress of battle getting to them, now when it was almost over? He had to see some action from them  if there was to be any chance o winning today.

"Come on! Why have you stopped giving your Pokémon orders? We need you to fight or every Pokémon here, including your own, are at risk!"

Battle Status:

- Dray's Tirtouga survived Venonat's Sludge Bomb by the skin of it's teeth, using Bide to obliterate Venonat and defeat that Grunt. Psyduck got bored of waiting, or got scared, or was affected by Confusion, and went back to his Pokeball.

- Zain's Fennekin has fainted from Mareep's Tackle, Yorlam's Deerling managed to put Mareep to sleep (that rhymes) with Grass Whistle, buying itself time.

- Tsukai's Seel has taken a critical hit from Cubchoo's Icy Wind and is now severely damaged. Without Tsukai's orders, Seel is only able to stand there and take it.
