((approved)) "No! Thank you!" Havia said to the man. He was merely a customer, and his sudden generosity something she never saw these days. It made the thin smile on her face seem a bit more real. "You didn't have to help me.."
"Pardon me friend 'ere, he's 'ad nothin' to drink but grog our whole trip 'ere. Now, miss, if you'd be so kind as to tell us where we might find the gov'nor of this here city, we'd be pleased, since we 'ave business with 'im."
Havia turned to the voice, standing up straight. She was short, hardly hitting the 5'5 mark. Her pale green eyes inspected the duo. Her eyes instantly hit the one who spoke, noticing his face. It was pale, his eyes contrasting with his complexion. And the darkness made him stick out like a sore thumb. Something felt wrong about him, which she pressed her lips together. "You look awfully ill to see the governor." Havia said. She turned to face them fully as she fiddled with her locket. She was nervous, no doubt. "Besides, the governor probably isn't doing any business at this hour. You should probably wait till morning."
Suddenly, her feeling of 'wrong' felt terribly wrong. Why was she stalling all of the sudden?
Knoch tilted his head to the side, trying hard to grin. Instinct of talking to his fellow undead sailors had causing him to forget that he was talking to a living person--the distance between them made her flesh not completely visible enough to remind him that his face want's entirely covered.
"I ain't ill lass, I'm but a tad weary, tis' all. Now, if the governor's busy, he'll be takin' visits just fine. We bring a message to him, after all." Knoch lied without faltering once. He was a pirate, a breed of man that could easily let loose a half-truth without a flinch. Brunnin kept his head low, and tapped Knoch's shoulder, telling him to keep his head low while the soldiers approached. Their hats were long enough so that it would cover their faces just right at the angle the the soldiers would meet them. Both pirates tipped their heads at the passing soldiers, who marched on, glancing at the newcomers before inspecting their ship.
Brunnin was eyeing everyone from beneath his hat, hating every moment of this chat. The more they talked, the more this girl was going to realize that they weren't regular men, so Brunnin thought. He subtly placed his hand in his coat, where a loaded pistol awaited further use. His hand hung their, as he tried to act tired. Knoch resumed speaking to the girl. "If you ain't gonna tell us we'll ask these here soldiers. Now be a good little fleshy and tell us where the governor is." Knoch said, only realizing the term he'd used after the word slipped his mouth. He'd said 'fleshy', right as his glowing eyes returned to hers, and the lamp of a careless passing soldier lit some of his face--
Brunnin was quicker to act, pulling out his pistol and firing at the man with the lamp before anyone could act, condemning the innocent man to Davy Jone's locker within a heartbeat~

He was lying. Of course he was sick, no living man would be able to keep such a pigment in there skin! Havia opened her mouth to say something, but closed it into a thin line as the soldiers passed. This feels so wrong. Maybe I shoulder tell them.. As she thought, her eyes flickered to the second man, the one who was suppose to be half drunk. She caught him slipping a hand underneath his coat. Although she passed it as nothing harmful, she was missing something..
Her eyes moved back to the talker, who'd called her a fleshy. She furrowed her light brown eyebrows in confusion. Fleshy? Was that suppose to mean something? The puzzle pieces fitted together a split second later, when one of the patrol officers shinned there lamps in the guys face. It was a skull. Glowing eyes where the eyes should be, and barely any skin on his face. Havia paled out of fear, she was talking to a pair of skeletons!
Before she could even make a peep, the drunk pulled a pistol out of his coat, shooting one of the officers. Havia stumbled backwards in shock, not wanting to get caught in the crossfire. At this point, she was on the verge of pure breakdown. Her face was covered in fright, the fear radiating off of her every move.
Ever since she'd moved to Nassau, she had always lived inland with her uncle. It was the good part of town, hardly any crime. As far as she was concerned, this was the first time she'd ever seen someone killed. As she stood in shock, she pondered whether to scream or not. Would these men hurt her if she did? She'd just witnessed a bloody murder!
little did she know it was the start of a long night.

"Brunnin, ya bitin' moron, I had this whole darned thing under control!" Knoch shouted over another round from Brunnin's pistol, as yet another bullet embedded itself in a soldier who was about to ready his rifle. Brunnin scowled as another soldier fired his own rifle, a successful his causing the enemies bullet to ripple through his ribcage. Bone splintered form Brunnin as he clicked his pistol once more, "You're the imbecile, ya were more obvious about us being out of place than a penguin in the jungle!" Brunnin shouted back, before the second guard fell. Knoch growled. "Brunnin, do you have the slightest clue of what precisely a penguin is?" As Brunnin had finished off the second guard he'd decided to run for the girl, drawing his own pistol, pointing it at her, firing it right where she might turn to run, right where the door to her tavern was as he bolted for her. She might have to die as well. Enoch's half-jaw would be visible, as he moved demonically fast for the girl. "Do you Mr. Knoch?" Brunnin replied, "I know that a penguin ain't supposed to be in the jungle, but as for you, I might have just taught you that."
While KNoch ran for Havia, guards in the farther quadrant were gathering, shouting for more men to get ready to shoot at the two intruders. Some of the men had already taken a classy formation. Four men knelt on the ground with their rifles aimed at the skeleton, and four men stood behind them, their own rifles ready for use. "Fire!" Their captain ordered, the botton row of soldiers sending four bullets streaking through the air for Brunnin and Knoch. It was possible that Havia might receive injury in the crossfire, as Brunnin drew a second pistol, ducking and rolling swiftly to the ground. The skeleton ended his roll in a kneel, before he fired both his pistols in return; again, Havia had the danger of being shot in the leg by Brunnin's bullets, if she moved to the far opposite direction form the bar's doorway. Brunnin's aim was true, striking down one of the soldiers.

Oh crap.
All hell had broken loose. Two men were already dead, and a skeleton was coming to make her a casualty. As predicted, she'd taken one step towards the tavern doors, nearly earning a bullet to her body. She' retracted her limbs and ran in the opposite direction, away from both the firing squad and the skeleton. Run around back. The gun is back there. she thought. She was glad she didn't wear her usual uniform. The barsmaid dress would have given her weight, and would have been the death of her.
As she turned the corner behind the building, she spotted Knoch and the amount of distance he'd covered. She didn't hesitate to keep running for it. She pulled at the bulkhead door, her light frame struggling to get it open. Time was wasting, which made her tug harder. come on... come on...
The alley that lead to the back door was a dead end, but there was a ladder to the rooftop.

Permission from Stalaken to take over the mantle. App form: Name: Kraken Pirate name: Kraken Profession: Eating and destroying boats. Ship name: Not Captian Weapons: Lots of large tendrils and tentacles. Also has a large mouth full of scary looking teeth. Ship weapons: No ship Appearance: Ship Appearance and type: NO ship Short bio and appearance: Well the Kraken started out as most large evil monsters of the sea do. By eating all of his brother and sisters and his parents. Do not ask how he accomplished this feat just understand that he ate all of his family. With this large amount of food he started to grow. His growth was at a much faster pace then anyone else in his species, this granted him full reign of the sea in a short time making him the king of the sea bed. Soon he was eating anything that he viewed as tasty for nothing in the sea could challenge his might. Then one day he saw boat. He was very interested in this new creature that was above him so he followed the boat for days, till it reached port. There he saw many more boats and was in awe. Had he finally found something that could match his power? He planed his attack very well. He wished to test one of these new beasts one on one. As his prey came out of the port he attacked. Wood went flying and men screamed as he tore into the ship and devoured everyone. It was at this moment when another ship came by, but this one was different this one smelled of death itself. The Kraken was lured to it for he enjoyed the smell of fresh death. When he came close a voice rang out, asking him to join forces and become the greatest power the see has and will ever know. This pleased the Kraken very much so he agreed. Soon he found out that the Captian was the one who spoke and this man was deaths right hand, deaths will. This made the Kraken willing to do what this beast Captian said for his words was death itself speaking.

Knoch was a skeleton of perseverance, especially when his target was so close. To him, her dash was not bad for a fleshy, then again, she was running for her life. Knoch had yet to break into such a dash with high stakes, however, his experience as a skeleton that was constantly on the move and working made his limbs practically greased and prepped for such running. it helped that he did not tire easily, considering that he was dead. Knoch hence pursued, keeping up as he outstretched his pistol.
Knoch was not bothering to ask why he was really doing this. She'd seen too much, and the pillage needed to begin anyways. If Captain Davy Jones wanted his two men back, he'd send for them, and maybe add to the pillage as well. So as the girl rounded the corner and the sound of desperate rattling could be heard, KNoch kept his pace. Upon the girl entering his site, he gave a bit of a leap forward, before his feet skidded on the streets, the balls of his boots grinding him to a halt, his pistol drawn so that it was point ted right at her head.
"End of the line, Fleshy. One wrong move and I put a whole in that rosy skin." He was just meter from her, his hand outstretched so that it was as close to her fore-head as it could be.
-- Meanwhile, Brunnin was spitting curses fluently at the soldiers as he reloaded his bullets behind some barrels in the alleyways. The governor was probably being spirited away, but that hadn't their real objective. He might be put into cover, but perhaps his goodies would be left. Then there was the option of burning as much of the town as possible. No, Brunnin thought, that would waste time. Then a bullet from a rifle streaked through the barrel, piercing the back of his skull before flying out the front, causing him to shriek. Never mind. Burning it is. He grumbled to himself, his pistols now firing upon the guards, sending more and more of the squad to their deaths.

Havia paused in her tracks, slowly removing her hands from the doorhandles. She had no choice but to remain in her uncomfortable position. She was at gunpoint, which freaked her out. What was she suppose to do, stand there? She silently remembered she had her dagger. A form of self defense, she guessed. "Please remove the gun." she pleaded. She tried to keep calm. "I won't say anything, I swear."

Knoch cracked a smile, as he held the gun to the mortal. He had her. Now it was only a matter of deciding whether she was to die or she was to live. The pleads encouraged the opposite of mercy, as Knoch's silver white eyes glowed a sinister light. He looked her in her innocent eyes, before slowly pointing the pistol lower, "Alright, if the gun must be lowered fear ya lass, so be it." Knoch said, before he tugged on the trigger of his pistol. The gun was aimed for the shin of the girl, as to incapacitate her, just in case she was playing innocent. Knoch hadn't seen genuine innocence in ages--a life of piracy made him believe essentially anything was a trick. So in order to ensure Havia was not trying to get the better of him, he decided to make sure she wouldn't be running anywhere.
"No, Lass, I really expect you to be telling people of us. That is why we're here. Now." Knoch said casually, "If you'd be so nice as to tell me where the Governor lives, I'd be persuaded not to fire upon yer other leg."
The sound of the exchange of bullet fire could be heard in the background, and the two were in a dark alleyway, Knoch's soft words would easily be drowned out by the sound of seemingly perpetual gun fire, as well as have's scream, if the bullet made its mark.

As soon as the gun barrel lowered, Havia had taken a step back from the skeleton. It had been a lucky move, which Knoch's bullets would hit the brick ground. The sudden gunfire made her yelp. This guy wasn't playing. "It's the big house inland, on the hill. You can't miss it." Havia was truely scared for her life by now. She took another step back. "And for the love of god, don't shoot me! I told you what you wanted to know."

Zain finally decided to finish his cup and see what he could do about this whole sh*tstorm that had kicked up. He draws both his pistols and starts making his way towards where most of the commotion was happening. Zain would be surprised at what he saw. Some kind of... ill pirate had just taken a shot at the floor of a young girl. Zain raises his pistols at the pirate Excuse me, but shooting at a fine young lady isn't very gentlemanly at all. I'm going to have to ask you to step back and drop your weapon, before I put two in your head. Zain didn't raise his voice, speaking very calmly and clearly, but when he got to the part about putting two bullets in the Pirate's head, Zain's voice had a bit more malice in it.

Thomas had opened his mouth to answer, when guns started firing. Zain rushed off, and Thomas took to his feet. Two of his three pistols came into his hands, the left about to fire toward's Brunnin's head when Thomas noticed that someone had done it for him.
Jaysus!
Thomas took cover behind a table, thinking. Was the bastard dead? He looked to be. Thomas figured it didn't matter. He popped up over the edge of he table and aimed his right pistol at Brunnin's knee, and he took his shot. The left pistol fired at the calf-bone of the opposite leg, and Thomas returned to cover, and began to reload.

((Heeeeeey, everyone's got pistols. Pirate pistol party.))
From docks, Mrr. Brunnin fired his pistol one last time, downing the last of the guards. He let the pistol's barrels slide to his mouth, letting a raspy half-breath whisp from his mouth. it was the closest thing he could get to feeling alive at this point, filling the enemy with gunpowder then blowing the barrels tips like his days in the living realm. He walked forward, as to assist Mr. Knoch and where he was. "That ol' Cretin can't keep himself outta trouble for a second." Brunnin muttered to himself as he walked, before he heard the exclamation 'Jaysus!'. Brunnin's brew furrowed, before a bullet flew directly through his knee cap, causing him to fall face first into the ground as he cursed yet again; "For heavens sake you mortal son of a-"
Brunnins' face slammed into the ground, before he rolled over. His knee-cap was loose, the actual leg still in tact, however, it was proving very difficult to control. Mr. Brunnin was not slow to snap his head upwards, taking only a second to locate his aggressor, a male fleshy with two pistols, much like himself. The only problem was that Mr. Brunnin was low on ammunition thanks to his being occupied with the guard. He had two bullets each in one gun--if memory served. Brunnin returned a bullet's worth of fire to the stranger, right for the chest, a half-baked plan already forming in his mind.
-
Knoch grinned at the guidance he was supplied, his teeth forming as skeletal grin as possible, since he was smiling even deeper. In the governor's quarters, perhaps the location to a valued treasure would be revealed. A necklace of sorts. Knoch didn't know precisely what it looked like, but he knew it was a necklace. The girl's own necklace was pretty enough to be worth stealing, and this would have been precisely what the pirate would have done if not for Zane calmly speaking from behind.
Sydrone was facing the side of his very well coated back. So seeing that Knoch was a skeleton would not be something Zane would be able to see just yet, considering Knoch had yet to face him. "Are those manners I be hearing? You english 'ave grown soft. Even when lives are are on the line." Knoch smirked, before spinning around, ducking low as he did so, his pistol that he clutched now being pointed at the boy's stomach. From His belt he drew a sword, pointed the weapon slowly at Havia, as to make sure the pretty faced girl didn't get smart. he was wary of her. His skeleton face and less charming features were revealed. "Go ahead lad, put a bullet in me head. Now how 'bout this, you step aside, and I go my way, and you can hug this little wench all ya like."

This was her chance. As soon as the skeleton turned to point his gun, Havia drew her knife and sliced at Knoch's sword. She wasn't very skilled, but she knew how to protect herself. She didn't know the guy who was trying to help her. And honestly, what he was doing was good enough. The impact from her knife hopefully was enough to send the blade left-ward, giving her enough space to dart past the duo. Run! she thought.

The water level at the shore rose slightly, as something with sufficient mass slid along the sea bed, having followed the scent of stray crew members. The beast usually stayed near the ship, unless it saw prey with which to nourish itself. It did this now, the movement of its tendrils causing light waves as it snatched up fish. The sound of gunfire however, did not startle it. It made it bloodthirsty. A nearby boat rocked, left and right, and began to bob up and down. Suddenly, someone belowdecks ran up the steps, getting topside and shouting bloody murder. Not a second later the ship began to implode, dragged down into the depths. A ship began to set sail, trying to escape, not from the beast, but the Pirates. The beast did not grant it the pleasure. The tentacle burst from the sea, water spraying far enough to lightly rain on those outside the bar, and latched onto the back. The ship was rather large, and regal. The governor. The kraken did not devour this one, due to the fact that it was running. Instead, the ship was lifted up out of the water, a few crew members falling off the side into the sea, to be victim to the great maw of the beast. The ship was dragged back to the shore, and thrust against the docks. Men flew off the ship from the impact, and a bit of gold. That was another reason the kraken did not devour it. The scent of gold. The kraken despised the taste. The masts were torn off by separate tendrils, and after incapacitating the boat, the beast slinked away, back down into the depths to ready another attack.

Zain just snorted You are mistaking my calmness for manners. And you appear to be a skeleton... You need to get some food inside you. Or some lead. he says, and with that, he shoot two pistol bullets into the skeleton's skull. So it was true then. Davy Jones walked the with the living instead of resting in the realm of the dead. Zain would just watch Havia run. He was one of the few pirates who had a conscience and a code of honour, but that girl obviously didn't want his help, so he wouldn't try fruitlessly to give it. Zain just holsters his pistols, places his hands in the pockets of his long coat and starts walking towards the Phoenix. He kinda wanted to get away before the guard showed up, and no doubt Thomas would know to join him. That's when he saw it, a nearby frigate that was floating at the dock would suddenly start to... Fall apart from the inside? Curious... Zain muttered to himself, watching the ship collapse in on itself. That's when Zain's eyes widened in genuine shock he had not felt for years, as a tentacle burst forth from the waves and tore the ship down into it's watery grave. The kracken... So. This is also true. Zain said to himself in wonder, before letting out a sigh of relief that The Phoenix was much further down the bay, away from the kracken's grasp. Zain would start to quicken his pace now, turning back to the pub THOMAS, WE'RE LEAVING! he shouted at the pub, loud enough so Thomas would hear him. He then started quickly walking to The Phoenix without looking back at the skeleton.

Knoch was torn between two targets, as the boy readied himself to fire his pistol, Knoch was about to bring his sword around to slice the gun out of the lad's hand--when the girl stabbed at the sword from behind, not catching Knoch off guard, but delaying his swing long enough for the pistols held by the boy to fire right into his skull. Knoch fell to the ground, leaving the perfect opening for Havia to flee for her life.
It only took a second for Knoch to get back up, growling angrily as the boy went off, yelling to some other fleshy it was time to go. Knoch arched a brow, before he arose to his feet, looking at the seas as he heard a great crashing from the docks. Tentacles larger than buildings seized upon a large majestic vessel that was beginning to leave the docks, incapacitating it by shredding off the boat's masts. The Kraken. Knoch blinked. Somehow, the beast had followed them here. Knoch was a bit speechless for a second, there was not much he could do or say about the Kraken to make it stop. What was there to say? It was a being of its own device. So Knoch watched as it's tentacles, ripped the ship's wood like a sword would a piece of lace.
It only took Knoch a few more seconds to register that the boat was the governors, since it had a luxurious appearance, what else would it be. Someone with money was in there. The tentacles retracted, as Knoch stepped forth to the docks, where he might get on a ship and retrieve the treasure. He recalled Brunnin within that instant, making him turn to furrow a bow. Where was that other skeleton? He could only be so many places---
