Located right from the minimum wing, the Citadel is the heaviest secured prison facility aboard the vessel. It is smaller then the first section of the Decepticon brig, created to hold captive of recognized extremely hostile Autobots and high rankings. It is enhanced with the latest technology, disrupting all electronic based devices in each of the cell rooms, also requiring a pass code to enter its single entrance. Security cameras are attached to just about every corner of these hallways, with the exclusive cells all containing electrical sensor plasma shields from allowing the prisoner to escape. Any attempts made to get out by touching the plasma shield well send a tremendous amount of electricity volts into the bot's chassis, likely damaging him.

Trundling through the passage ways of the brig, Shockwave walked closely behind the two vehicons who were transporting the new Autobot prisoner through the section hallways. Upon making the arrival at the lone entrance of the citadel brig, the single optic mech typed in a pass code for granted access, before proceeding inside with Gearchange the two vehicons. Walking down the hallway, he lifted his right limb up to point at the nearest cell with his sharp digit, commanding the two to haul him inside. Deactivating the plasma shield, the 30 foot con assisted the two by forcefully pushing the Autobot inside, switching the electric plasma shield back on. Now all he had to do was await for his medical officer's arrival.

With a helpful smile and accompanied by one berated Vehicon, Kick-Start hurried into the Brig. Well, more accurately, a motorcycle drove in, and the Vehicon pushed the mass of equipment in even as she skidded to a halt.
"Commander Medic Kick-Start reporting, Lord Shockwave," she gave something between a bow and a curtsey to her Lord and Master. She saw Gearchange bleeding out on the floor of his cell behind the Plasma wall, "Can I assume, My Lord, that the Maximus is being delivered to me to repair and heal?"
With every word she spoke to Shockwave, her words remained infinitely courteous and respectful. It was almost ridiculous, to see her, already less than half his size, bowing graciously to the 30 foot tall leader of the Decepticons.

Gearchange remained silent in the cell, trying to move, his left leg was pretty messed up, whenever he tried to move it it just sparked, the rest of his external power suit armor still remained along with his weapons, but they were no use to a bot in chains.

Stepping back, Shockwave's frame shifted over in front of Kick-Start, watching her bow to him. Raising his servo to deactivate the plasma shield covering once more, making a swift nod to the medic that he had indeed summoned her here for him to undergo repairs. He had only now taken a full scan of her chassis to realize just how equivalently smaller she was compared to his own frame. He wanted all measures to be taken, escape was unacceptable, having captured the Maximus of the Autobots, it had now risen the advantage for the Decepticons, just as he had predicted.
"Affirmative, Kick-Start. You are to treat all wounds and injuries made to his chassis, however, do not by any circumstances release his restraints, or allow access for him outside of the cell. When you are finished, I ask that you restrain him down onto a berth. He will be transported into my laboratory facility and onto my dissection table."

"To your complete satisfaction, My Lord," Kick-Start straightened up again and walked into the cell, motioning for her assisting Vehicon to follow her and her heels click-clacking on the metal with every step she took.
She probably made the most efficient use of Vehicons of any Commander.
She looked down at Gearchange, her optics meeting his. Her entire demeanour altered, from loyal servant to a careful, tender doctor.
"Oh, this is no way to restrain a patient. No way at all..." She promptly started adjusting Gearchange's restraints. She was by no account loosening them, but she was moving them into places where they wouldn't cause any pain.
"Your designation is Gearchange, am I right?" she asked, looking into his optics as she attached a supply of medicinial Energon into one of his valves, then lit up a welder.

Gearchange remained silent as the medic spoke to him, he didn't like being confined... especially when it gave him flashbacks to his past. His dull optics glow through the orange lenses. Flexing his servos as he regained circulation.

As Kick-Start signified she'd perform her duties, Shockwave turned to face the hallway, trundling out of the brig and back into the control room.

Kick-Start didn't push the question when Gearchange left it unanswered, but continued speaking.
"I'm sure you're in pain, Gearchange," she spoke softly and pulled out a medical EMP gun and used it repeatedly on the places that she knew must be causing Gearchange the most pain, "A few details to ensure you don't suffer any other lasting damage first..."
She took hold of his leg, torn up as it was, and pulled it straight. Obviously she wasn't going to repai it, but this way it would heal correctly when she was given authority for that.
"I'm sure that you must be very concerned... possibly even scared right now..." she started looking in his chassis, locating several sparking wires, "But you shouldn't be. Lord Shockwave needs you to be functional, and you are in the very best of servos." Indeed, her hands being so small meant she could get into more complicated places.
She touched two red wires together. They sparked encouragingly, and she took out a very, very small welder.
"It is a great honour to contribute to Lord Shockwave's Cause, even unwillingly. You should be proud, Gearchange."

The exact same words, only one name was different, he could hear it... Megatron's cause...
A good few years into the war and he had become a prisoner of war in Megatron's Pits of Kaon.
Gearchange's body rose up and down again as he vents out. A small crack in his chest which opened up during the final blast from Lockdown's cannon.

What was unusual was that most Decepticons, once out of their leader's range, would generally drop the 'Lord'. Kick-Start kept it up easily and with the same reverence and respect as when he had been present.
But for all of the silence from Gearchange, her hands kept moving skillfully.
"Got something damaged in your vocals?" she joked as she welded a very small wire back together with precision, "Oh, those soldiers can't be much good if they had to rough you up like this..." she grunted disapprovingly, "And your weapons are still active! The only reason you can't use them is the damage! Ameteurs... Let me fix that..."
She disconnected a wire in a place that Gearchange couldn't reach, completely painlessly.
"There's a lot of damage been done to your chassis..."
She set on it, but rather than simply welding up the crack, worked from the inside out and repaired all of the faults.
"Being captured must be... distressing for you. But I am certain Lord Shockwave has great and honourable plans for you. You'll see. It's better this way."
She obviously thought this was comforting.

Gearchange shuffles a little, resting his helm against the wall with a small clinking noise.
Honourable, better this way?... there wasn't any honor in experimenting on subjects, whatever cause this was.

Kick-Start looks up at Gearchange again, noting his silence. Her voice changes; it is almost imperceptible, but there is a very slight switch, as she considers his persistent silence an offence. She isn't just a Medic, after all. She is a Commander too.
"It will be better this way," she repeats, "Lord Shockwave would never enact any plan that wouldn't bring this war to a swifter close. That's better for everybody, right?"
After a brief silence, she touches two wires together, and there is another spark.
"Right?"

Gearchange turns his head slowly to Kick-Start, his faceless expression glared back to her, then he spoke from behind the mask.
You keep on referring to Shockwave as Lord...
Gearchange returns to resting his head against the wall, venting out and looking up at the light on the ceiling.
Nothing good ever came from him and whatever plan that includes me and his cause will end up in failure.

"Since Megatron has gone Missing In Action, Lord Shockwave is now the Leader of the Decepticon Cause for the forseeable future," Kick-Start speaks calmly and with reverence, "He is a genius, perhaps not as... emotional... as Megatron was, but equally as strong and tactical."
She continues to weld Gearchange's vital wires and piping stopping the leaks. She barely even leaves scars; wherever she works there is little to show that he was even in a battle so recently.
"Megatron led us into a gruesome stalemate. Under him, this war has become nothing but a pointless slaughter of constant retributions. Lord Shockwave will lead the Decepticons to victory and a lasting peace."
Yup. Gearchange has been delivered straight into the servos of Shockwave's brand of Soundwave. Oh, okay, not that bad, but pretty close.
"Of course, Autobots are a stubborn bunch... but I'm confident that you'll see sense."

And why would I be required when shockwave is leading this "honorable victory to lasting peace?"
The mech still looks up.
This femme sure loved praising her "master"

"Oh, I didn't say that he can do it all on his own," Kick-Start smiles in a manner that she thinks is comforting, "One mech could be the difference between victory and defeat."
She looks into his blue optics as she works. To be honest, she isn't quite sure what Shockwave has in store for Gearchange, but she'll bet her heel-struts it'll be awesome.
"Lord Shockwave specifically asked for a powerful warrior to be captured. You should be honoured that you'll be that one mech. But you won't be," disappointment shows in her red optics and Gearchange realises that she's not some kind of sadistic monster... just misguided, "Don't you see that this is the only way to end all the slaughter?"

And he believes I am that mech to make the difference in the battle.
The mech sighs out.

Kick-Start stands up and walks over to her tray, shuffling through tools. When Gearchange looks at her, he realises she's not just short - she's very, very short, even for a two-wheeler. And even then a good foot, maybe more, of her height is made up of heel-struts sharpened to a point that could puncture armour.
Perhaps strangest of all is the way she wears her armour; it's like it's one size too big for her; like she's wearing it rather than having grown into it like most Cybertronians.
"I can see you're worried," she picks up two wrenches that to anybody else would look identical, and after much deliberation, chooses one of them and starts unbolting some very important plating to get at damaged wiring within Gearchange, "Why?"

Worried? Of course I am, my processors probably going to be tapped into.
But this whole situation is all too familiar to when i was in the pits as a prisoner of war.
