The Virtual Reality Training Simulator deck or V.R.T.S is a technological feet located within the lower levels of the Nemesis and consuming an entire deck of the Nemesis. Running along 2 miles of metal the VR program is designed to help re-enact the experience of war and other dangerous scenarios without the danger of permanent death, due to this the VR room is constantly in use either training a group of vehicons and other decepticon foot soldiers on lower difficulty levels or in use for higher ranked members within the Decepticon High Command. The advanced technology within the floor is constantly powered by Trypticon's huge warp core allowing it to do impressive feats, warriors can quite literally re-enact the largest battles on cybertron as the simulator tracks users and allows the world to move with them to ensure they are not locked within the 2 mile radius.
By standard the room is relatively bare as a simple control room takes up only a few feet in all directions, the rest of the room is empty to allow the advanced systems underneath the floor to create the training scenarios necessary.
Aware the requirements for each soldier is different a number of difficulty modes have been created. Although they can be simplified into three groupings ultimately they can all be significantly altered:
Novice - For the newest of troops. Damage is simulated through HuD warnings detailing the users on how they would currently be, this can as such deactivate limbs to simulate such scenarios as a limb decapitating blow. However during this standard mode enemies react exactly the same as higher difficulties, instead their is less enemies and that of lower ranking the majority of which are protectobots and the sort.
Veteran - For experienced troops. Damage is simulated through HuD warning detailing the users on how they would currently be, this can as such deactivate limbs to simulate such scenarios as a limb decapitating blow also this mode will consume energon to correspond with the scenario. Their is more enemies and that of higher ranking although their is still many footsoldiers.
Expert - For the most experienced of troops who have mastered the other levels. Damage is simulated through HuD warning detailing the users on how they would currently be, this can as such deactivate limbs to simulate such scenarios as a limb decapitating blow also this mode will consume energon to correspond with the scenario. Their is more enemies as foot soldiers make up the bulk of forces however their is many more elite variants, this can be up to ten times the size of veteran enemy count. Also additional surprises may be thrown in to keep users on their toes.
These difficult modes are based on the assumption the user is using the "battle" training scenario. However their is multiple others to choose from including but not limited to.
Battle - Full scale battle
Skirmish - Small scale battle against more specialised troops
Target aquisation - Capture the person or item of intrest and reach exfill
Target elimination - Eliminate the person of intrest
Search and destroy - Locate and destroy target.
Target range - A standard target range to practice aim.
Survival - Hold location for as long as possible.
Bodyguard - Protect the person of intrest
Close quarter battle - practice fighting within enclosed scenarios such as a ship
Hand to hand - Practice hand to hand with sparring simulations
Melee training - Practice melee combat with sparring simulations
Gravity combat - battle in zero/low gravity scenarios
Ship combat - battle opposing ships using a variety of ships within database.
Messenger - transport intel to desired target
Escape - Escape confinement as prisoner of war.
Rush - Move through checkpoints till reaching the enemy base of operations.
Locate - Locate a target of intrest but do not engage (scouting)
Capture the flag - Defend only flag and capture opponents
Interrogation - Interogate enemy for intel.
In addition to providing a number of training sceanrios and three distinct difficulties the simulators main advantage may be considered it’s ability to create any terrain as a solid creation. This allows the simulation to create a variety of realistic scenarios such as Earth, Cybertron, Velocitron and space to name a few.

Entering the training facility through a large steel elevator door Shadow-Strike stepped out as his optics began to adjust to the area around him, there was a number of sectioned off areas where different soldiers trained including squads of vehicons. The room was huge taking up an entire floor of the Nemesis and going along the full width from the tip of the front to the very back of the ship. Continuing to pace forward past each cornered off section Shadow-Strike looked as the technology within each area kept the users located in a small central portion of the map, it was able to create the illusion of movement for those within the area.
Entering a training section Shadow-Strike opened a single door that he paced through before closing it behind him again as the door closed camouflaging technology activating in the room as they became see through. Overall the training centre was complicated technology that Shadow-Strike had never truly bothered to understand. Moving into the centre of the room Shadow-Strike came across a single computer terminal that controlled the training centre, after a few seconds of imputing the required options Shadow-Strike stepped away from the terminal as he activated the training.
The central terminal began to lower down into the ground freeing up the maximum space as around Shadow-Strike a number of unarmed cybertronians began to form around him. The hardlight technology creating an almost perfect army, the only issue with hardlight technology was it had a range before the technology became brittle and at further distances it became non existence. Around him the holograms became more defined as five Autobot's stood at their full height each of them between 26ft and 32ft as the arena itself began to form.
Creating an unusual training arena as huge metallic columns began to form around the fighters. Shadow-Strike had activated the hand to hand combat facility as the opponents began to close in on him.

Stepping forward a single 26ft mech began to move on in as the others began to from a circle around him. Shadow-Strike smirked behind his battlemask as he looked at each hologram carefully planning his next move as he stood his ground, slightly changing his footing as he adjusted his stance in preparation for the fight to begin. Then the little autobot that had moved closer lunged forward with a vicious punch directed at the left side of Shadow-Strike's jaw.
Forcing the decepticon to begin twisting his frame to the left to avoid the punch as the fist narrowly missed by his face will the Decepticon kept his pede's in place. Shadow-Strike responded moving into life as he let the autobot's frame drift by him before he brought his left arm up wrapping it around the autobot's elbow as he got a firm grip. The assassin ensuring the bot couldn't wiggle out as the palm of his right servo was brought across the autobot's joint between his shoulderplate and arm, the resulting force ripping circuits within as Shadow-Strike sickeningly continued the momentum as within mili-seconds the limb had been ripped from his frame.
The resulting screams of pain simulating how a standard Autobot would react to the situation as Shadow-Strike pushed his right servo back out to connect with the Autobot's vocalbox to silence his screams, resulting in the Autobot lowering his chin as he instinctively tried to cover it. It just allowed Shadow-Strike to slip his right servo around the mech's helm as he gripped firmly before yanking it downwards, pulling the helm downwards as Shadow-Strike brought his knee up to crash into the mech's temple. The force of the blow sending his neck hurling forward then suddenly backwards with brutal tension being applied as the mech was lucky not to snap anything of value.
He was in a bad condition now as Shadow-Strike applied further pressure in a slick movement bringing his left leg to come crashing into the mech's pedes as the bot fell to the ground with a harsh bump. Shadow-Strike had left the mech battered and bruised now as the simulated circurty within had been critically damaged in mere seconds, it wasn't over though as Shadow-Strike swung his right foot up to volley the floored mech across his faceplate. The force of the kick sending the Autobot onto his backplating with his optics hopelessly looking up into the fake sky.
The other holograms hadn't intervened yet as the single kick further damaged the cables in the Autobot's neck. By now the fight between them was over as Shadow-Strike climbed on top of the mech in a ground and pound position as he wrapped his left servo around the rightside of his helm as his other servo mirrored the action. He knew he didn't have more than a few seconds as the dazed and confused Autobot tried to resist Shadow-Strike twisted the mech's helm to the left then straight to the right with deadly force as the applied pressure ripped every remaining cable in the neck.
Swinging the helm aside Shadow-Strike began to pull himself aside as he gave a slight look down towards the helmless corpse in the centre of the arena, a tiny smirk crossed his face as he considered his actions efficient under the circumstances he'd only calculated 52 ways he could have ended the fight quicker. However Shadow-Strike knew in a real fight those errors could have been costly.
He would have to reflect on his performance later though as the other four began to move in this time preforming in unison just like a real fight.

A symphonic of talking is heard and gets louder as a group of four vehicons enter the training deck. They walk in a wide line together as they debate and bicker. However these vehicons seemed different from most, as they had varying paint-jobs done to them to make them more recognizable. One with yellow racing stripes seems to argue with one with a silver outlining its armor, while a lightblue drone and one with orange stripes seem to be debating on what to train next. The silver one pushes the yellow,"Come ooooon! I need more distance practice!" "No way, I need to keep my servo-to-servo sharp!" The orange one shakes his helm "Look, we'll decide what to train once we see our options. We gotta be more-...." He stops to see the deck already taken by a bot. "...Hello sir."

Glancing slightly towards the vehicon squad Shadow-Strike had to roll out of the way as one of the Autobot's leaped towards him almost knocking him off his feet with a spear as the autobot narrowly missed. Shadow-Strike wouldn't get off lightly though as he rose up onto his pede's again as a large camouflaged tankbot stood between him and the squad. Coming completely out of the roll Shadow-Strike leaped forward using the full strength of his leg pistons to leap over the tankbot, his right arm stretching out as he flew upside down above the tankbot as he touched the top of the tankbot's helm to adjust himself as he continued to flip over him before he landed gently on the ground.
It had been an elegant flip although he argued it could have been better as Shadow-Strike spun around kicking the bot in the aft as he forced the mech to stumble into one of his allies. He had heard them speak since they where just outside his practice room but the hologram arena within meant he couldn't see them.

The orange leader vents and gestures to his team "Quiet down, you three. He needs to focus." The yellow was bout to punch one of them and stops on the order and he vents too "Fine, Rick." He leans against the wall and pulls out a shotgun and proceeds to examine it. The silver one walks up beside their leader and a femme voice comes from her as she speaks into the intercom "Sorry sir, we'll wait!" The remaining two simply facepalm while Rick vents once more muttering "Seriously, Robin?" The young drone pays no attention to him and keeps watching the current battle taking place.

Aware he couldn't face the tankbot under current conditions Shadow-Strike began to alter the conditions of the battle as he looked towards the tankbot and the mech he had crushed, hand to hand was only useful to an extent as he watched the four holograms adjust. The tankformer proceeded to pull from his backplate a large two-handed energon axe as the other began to move closer, one of the Autobot's was a blue sedan, one was a yellow and black muscle car will the one that had been squashed by the tankformer was an aerialbot.
That was all that was really noticeable about them though as all four of them could simply be described as "generic" as they proceeded to surround Shadow-Strike he stepped closer to the inside of the circle before he came to a stop. The simulation appeared to have paused for now as Shadow-Strike turned his helm towards the vehicons outside.
Shadow-Strike: Are you going to stay outside?

Rick shakes his helm, aware that he can't be seen. "We're fine with waiting our turn, besides I think your current level might be a bit much for-..." He stops talking as he feels one of the others tapping his shoulder. The light blue drone was doing it, and points to an opened door. Rick looks back outside to see the other two already armed and heading towards Shadow-Strike. Robin has her sniper rifle out and faces the wall "Come on Rick, come one Stewart! What're ya waiting for?!" Rick vents and gestures to Stewart and they follow out as they take out their weapons, an assault rifle with a bizarre bayonet and twin laser emitters.
They all group up by Shadow and each gives a slight bow in usual greeting.

Shadow-Strike: Uplink with the training program and follow my lead.
Lifting up his gauntlet Shadow-Strike smirked as he allowed the vehicons to join but kept the level at veteran, the more of them their was linked to the system then the more holograms would be installed. Also the mode would limit their abilities to the point if he was using the hand to hand or melee protocol then their other weapons would be disabled. Currently he was assigning all the generic holograms to fit a certain description, Shadow-Strike was forcing every hologram to be of a standard car frame that way it should give the vehicons more of a chance than coming across tankbots.
Shadow-Strike: Do you have a preferred mode?

Rick clicks his gun's safety off, "A mode that wouldn't kill us immediately would be great. So ,maybe soldier at the most."
The four of them link themselves to the system as they ready their weapons.
Robin glances at Shadow while checking the sights on her sniper. "...You're not gonna use a weapon, sir?...and what setting were you on, it looked fun!"

Shadow-Strike: Hand to hand combat, veteran if you must ask. Although I was about to change it to melee combat before your arrival.
Waiting for their approval Shadow-Strike looked ready to reactivate the mode as their weapons where switched off, if he kept it on hand to hand then they would be unable to use any weapons. If they wanted complete control of their weapons then they would need to choose skirmish.

Three of the four immediately shake their helms. Only the yellow one nods while putting away his shotguns. They all yell in unison at him, "Derek!" He blinks his visor at them, ".....What?" Rick vents and approaches Shadow "I guess we can do veteran, but we are not ready for hand-to-hand yet." The three of them look at Shadow, hoping he'd take up their request.

Shadow-Strike: Melee?
Raising an optic ridge Shadow-Strike appeared to have a light smirk across his face as he continued to stare at Rick. He wasn't sure how capable these vehicons where although they couldn't die here their was still risks of severe stasis-lock, energon deficiency, circuit damage, processor faults. Taking them into a combat situation they where incapable of was as good as suicide on the real battlefield.
Shadow-Strike: Skirmish?

They all glance at each other and activate their private comms and whisper to each other so Shadow can't hear them. Rick:I'm not liking that smirk he's giving us. Robin nods and whispers too: I have a feeling he's going to screw us over with this. Derek: We're fighting with a higher ranked soldier setting, we're screwed no matter what.
They all vent and nod as they disable their comms and speak up. Rick: Skirmish

Shadow-Strike: If that's what you request so be it.
Altering the functions of the virtual reality simulator Shadow-Strike transformed it into a small skirmish with near medium amount of enemy bots for the difficulty level, as thirteen generic autobots began to spawn various distances from the cons. Some of them seemingly floating in mid-air as a metallic structure began to fill itself in looking somewhat similar to one of the combat courses on cybertron. The course provided both long range and close quarter combat scenarios, they'd need to be careful not to get lost in the labyrinth of open gardens, metallic rooms and a variety of levels.
Shadow-Strike: Try and keep together, you'll last longer.
Rotating his servo's slowly into life Shadow-Strike's whole arsenal was unlocked with a bleep, everyone was free to use their weapons now including the bots.

Derek: Don't worry, we learned that when we first made this team.
They all ready their weapons and look forward. Stewart already starts charging his lasers to their medium strength. Robin loads in a stun slug and checks her scope. Derek keeps in his regular shells as does Rick. Each of them seem to be mixed with excitement and fear, despite their masks covering their faceplates.
Rick: We're ready on your go, sir.
Robin flutters her wings a bit nervously as the labyrinth forms:...I'm guess flying's not allowed here?

Flipping both of his servo's with the flick of both wrists Shadow-Strike's arms began to twist and turn as inner electronics where revealed for a few seconds before they where quickly covered up with the casing of his weapon shells as his servo's where finally replaced with dual pathblasters. Now he was ready for combat the same as the vehicons as the second bleep signalled the start of the simulation, just as the Autobots began to attack three snipers proceeded to take potshots from a raised platform in the distance. One of their shots narrowly flew past Shadow-Strike's helm.
Shadow-Strike: Well. Maybe cover would be advisable.
Running into cover Shadow-Strike slid down to avoid another sniper shot as he skid across the ground before quickly moving into the next set of cover. The labyrinth could allow fliers to scout ahead although the amount of buildings in the area meant they could be exposed from a number of locations in the air. Now Shadow-Strike just had to focus on finding the other Autobot's as he separated from the group.

They all nod and head immediately run towards the opposite direction. They all reactivate their comms as they hide behind a wall to the maze.
Robin: Rick, I count three snipers! Rick: Take em out! Stewart give her cover fire! Derek, you're with me to check that corner.
They all nod. Stewart steps out and kneels down to be a smaller target and fires twin beams at the platform, knowing he can't hit the snipers from here so instead firing on their foundation. Robin squats out and hides behind him and takes aim at one of the three snipers.
Rick and Derek slowly approach the nearest corner, both rifle and shotguns ready to fire at first notice.

Continuing to move through the course Shadow-Strike entered a small hut like building as he lifted both servo's making sure to watch his corners as he entered the room, a tiny smirk crossing his face as the room was clear so far. After a quick check of the room he began to move ahead towards the exit in the distance. Exiting quickly and silently Shadow-Strike heard an autobot ahead as he ducked into the cover of a wall every step that it got closer and closer becoming louder as Shadow-Strike held still.
Then it passed forgetting to check it's corners as Shadow-Strike began to restrict the gas escape chambers with his pathblasters. The action forcing both gun into an unusual semi-automatic silenced mode as he lined the shot up with the unaware autobot, a single pull of his right pathblaster's trigger resulted in the pop of the autobot's helm as he fell to the ground dead. Most Autobot's helms where less guarded especially the back from Shadow-Strike's knowledge as he peeked around the corner it appeared no one had caught the death of their ally.
Crouching down as he began to move onwards Shadow-Strike saw a number of Autobot's on a walkway heading towards the vehicons position, he counted maybe four of them. Nothing they shouldn't be able to handle as he headed towards the snipers at the back of the training course.

Robin fires and hits the left sniper right in the helm. With a stun round it doesn't cause much but merely knock its balance off. Stewart's fires once more on the platform, his twin beams hit the edge just beneath their pedes and heats up the flooring so fast it causes a small explosion. The blast takes out the center sniper and causes the one Robin hit to loose its balance completely and falls to its death. They both take back cover behind the wall and Robin loads in a normal slug.
Robin: Two out of three!
Rick and Derek nod at her announcement and slowly look around the corner, only to be pushed back by a charging shotgunner. They both open fire on it, hitting it with round after round until it falls down before getting to fire its first shell.
Rick: Everyone watch yourselves, shotgunners always fight in pairs!
Robin nods as she quickly leans out and fires a shot right in the last sniper's chassis, making it fall forward and off the platform.
Robin: Got it! And third one's down!
