A Ground Bridge opened, and Hotwire flew though, landing a little clumsily after her escapades with Taggon.
"Do you know what the best thing about the Autobots is?" she asked out loud of nobody in particular, "The mercy shtick. They complain to no end about paying, but-"
She saw Shockwave, and pulled herself to something vaguely resembling attention.
"But Long-Contractual Merc Hotwire is here to be assigned duties."

The holo image of Vos flickered for a moment, before he moved once more. The camera was still angled so that he was facing it, however, he looked to be holding a control, as a loud scream sounded. "My little operation my Lord, is almost complete. If everything goes according to my plan, we are going to be having an Autobot mole, in the form of a sleeper agent." Vos stated leisurely in the twisted language of ancient Cybertronian, and it was then he noticed more people in the room. He saw Hotwire, and simply regarded her with his cold lifeless red optics. She had failed. Vos considered lowering her pay next time the DJD asked for her services, but then he knew he would sucking her small fun out of it, or whatever she did.
Vos just turned back to looking at Shockwave, "I would like if you considered this a gift, for your new reign, Lord Shockwave. Do pardon that my other co-workers could not make it here, though I was sure they would my liege." Vos said, and pushed a small button on his remote, for there to be more screaming.

Hotwire spotted Vos regarding her. She didn't consider her mission a failure. She'd only consider it a true failure if she'd somehow offlined the wayward Vehicon. As it was, she had successfully spoken with him, an act that tended to gather - frequently ill-advised - trust. He had actually let her go, and yet here she was.
And she would be going after him again.
She gave Vos a silent, half-apologetic shrug, but it certainly wasn't a display of defeat. He'd just have to wait for another day to get his prize.
She too could hear the agonised screaming in the background. Most of the mechs in the room were trying to conceal flinches of disgust, despite it being an Autobot's suffering. Unlike them, a very small smile of amusement twitched on her lips. Under the cold business-femme, Hotwire definitely held some sadistic tendencies - just another reason she jobbed for the DJD.

Watching Backbeat and Nevermore depart to the detected transmission sight, the 30 foot Con placed his frame back in front of the other present Decepticons, slightly tilting his head to take sight of an unfamiliar femme flying out from an opened groundbridge portal. Shockwave made a quick scan of her, she did not possess a Decepticon insignia. Even so, he hadn't analyzed the entire data profile of everyone accounted for Decepticons that were known to be on Earth, so he was not coming to conclusions.
The moment she spoke out to signify she was a mercenary, the one optic mech acknowledged she perhaps one of those like Lockdown. He had remembered Megatron had faith and constantly favored him to do bounties, all seemed to go well, but of course, she was not Lockdown and he was above on trusting her. Approaching her with several pede steps, Shockwave tilted his helm down to look at her, speaking in his normal motionless deep voice.
"Then I suppose you are going to make a request for a reward in your services? Transferring any type of energon resources will not compute with me, acknowledge that. It is necessary I verify your reputation on your status."
While awaiting for a reply, he looked over back to Vos's hologram, nodding his helm swiftly to his response.
"Good. You have my approval to continue on your operation."

"If you'll look up my employment history, you'll see I've jobbed for the DJD whenever their ever-reaching grasp needed an extension," Hotwire pointed out.
She leant back very slightly as Shockwave loomed a good 4 feet over her.
"And of course, it's perfectly logical that Mercenaries make for lousy spies. If I wasn't a mercenary, I wouldn't be here. I'd still be prisoner in the High Grand. As it is, they were kind enough to repair the damage they'd done to me before letting me go."
She couldn't help but smirk a bit at that.
She held out a small disk for Shockwave to take, that contained a lot of details on previous successes, including work for various subfactions and several jobs for the Quintessons. Most employment details were confidential but obviously for mechs as powerful and reliable as Shockwave, exceptions must be made.
"It really isn't my fault that Autobots don't pay as well as Decepticons," she added. Similarly to mechs like Lockdown and Swindle, she sold to the highest bidder, but that highest bidder did tend to be the Decepticons, "Sir," she added almost as an afterthought.

After a few minutes, Vosses holo-image disappeared, and the small bug-like mechanism which had power the holo image flew off, exiting from where it had started. From the exit, some small steps could be heard. A thin black and grey wraith-like figure came out from the door, having a stride which matched a dragon which had just come out of its cave. Vos had his servos held behind his back, and his helm was leaned forward, his own two fake optics glowing somehow. A few would say Vos could express his mood through the hollow red optics, but others would insist it was impossible.
The mech took his place where his holo-form had previously been, and listened in on the conversation, being slow to speak, and quick to hear. Hotwire was trying to get a job, but impressing Shockwave wouldn't be easy, much less intriguing him. Not after how she had failed anyways. Vos leaned back on a wall, and then gave a small nod at Stalaken. He and the vehicon shared one feeling; Bounty hunters. Always the profit seeking type. Vos was actually a bit of a newbie with the DJD, and had only been Vos for a little over one hundred years. It was the sad truth. Vos thusly was a bit unimpressed with Hotwire's proofs that she was a useful employee, since Vos had known of her latest efforts in getting capture, and her latest failures. IN his optics, she had yet to impress him. She had been employed by the DJD, but this Vos, who had been around for one hudred years or so, had only seen her rarely take up offers, and rarely turn in mechs or femmes. even then, the mechs and femmes had not been much.
Vos just chuckled to himself some, as he knew that time would tell if selecting this bounty hunter would be wise for Shockwave. He would leave it to her to be humiliated or honored in Shockwave's eye, but until then unless addressed Vos would be silent. Hotwire indeed had brilliant results in her past, but the recent two failures caused Vos the reason for his chuckling; she had been badly thwarted when she had captured Helix, and she had quite incompetent with only a vehicon for a combatant. It was the truth. How Vos knew? He kept track of many things, including the DJD's rarely-signed-in employee, and in fact he had wanted to see her bring someone in besides the standard. With the old Vos, she surely had, but with him around, the mechs and femmes turned in by her had been scant. Meanwhile, the DJD themselves had taken out Black Shadow, con curer of thousands of Autobots, and had assassinated a Phase-sixer.
So, Hotwire's gig was slightly amusing to Vos. He still did not speak, since the operation he had started had officially began, and the only thing he would do is bow his helm in repeat for his liege, Shockwave, even if the purple cyclops was not looking his direction. It was standard protocol. Shockwave had been one of Megatron's most trusted lieutenants, and had been one the the greatest feared loyalists in the Decepticon ranks.

Hotwire turned slightly to look at Vos. It was as if she knew his doubts.
Then again, with him being new to the job, she had her own doubts about him. Was he good enough for the DJD? She knew she was. The question had been asked many times, was she Ex-DJD. Its members had changed enough that there were few who could possibly confirm it and as she always said, "Nobody leaves the DJD alive."
"Obviously my history won't be enough on this new planet, though," she spoke to Shockwave, half-watching Vos, "So obviously I'll need to demonstrate for you."

The room was quite empty. This was embarrassing. Barely anyone came to greet the new leader and show respect to his power. Stalaken was horrified on how the Decepticons had lost their strictness. For if Megatron was still leading and he called a greeting meeting, everyone would be on time. Or they would die. That simple. Then as he thought these things a bounty hunter jumped into the room. When Stalaken saw the her he flinched, the fact that the decepticons even used those useless beings was saddening. To Stalaken all they are, are a bunch of lazy, worthless mechs who mooch off of true warriors accomplishments. They think they are so great just because they can earn more credits then most mechs. But most mechs wouldnt sell their souls for cash. Then to his horror the filthy bounty hunter had the audacity to walk up to, probable the most powerful and most honored mech in the whole Decepticon army. And just started to talk to him like they were old pals!!!
What has this world come too, we have lost all respect. We are doomed.
As he thought this to his surprise Vos, a DJD member, came and leaned on the wall he was standing at. And nodded at him, Stalaken had no idea what to do. He had never met this mech face to face before and it was quite unnerving. Vos's cool demeanor sent out a message of " Hey dont mess with me, or I'll mess you UP!". So Stalaken did what came natural, he nodded back at Vos. Then Stalaken went back to listening to the conversation between his leader and the bounty hunter. Trying to not act nervous with Vos next to him.

Looking at the disk, Shockwave raised his servo, taking the disk, turning around to insert it through one of the consoles, transmitting straight into the screen. If he was not satisfied, he found it logical to detain anyone worth of no value to him. Their services would best be needed as mere sacrificial experimental test subjects to all of his research and projects. While waiting for the entire detail descriptions to load, he once more shifted back across to the front of the room. With only vehicons and four attendants who had made themselves present, it seemed in the current situation that the faction was small, not regarding those on missions, many seemed to still be scattered throughout space. With given information, he couldn't confirm if Megatron was alive, or dead.
While standing, it wasn't to hard to identity that something was hooked on the right side of his waist. By the shape and structure, it could be told it was something old, or prehistoric. The item with him at the moment was actually a fossilized remain of a Predacon. He was planning to go to his newly set up laboratory and begin the CNA cloning production. He was indeed now wearing of patience in courtesy of his desire to produce the new specimen he believed to soon to be the ultimate Autobot hunter, the precise plan he needed to hold an advantage over his enemies.

The information dialled up on the screen. Most of the names - at least, the names of employers - were carefully blanked out, but Shockwave could see a lot of mechs who had gone 'missing', or in some way turned up with their heads on spikes.
There were also a few places that he recognised as having been small rebel bases. These had numbers next to them, signifying that up to thirty mechs at a time had been disposed of.
There was at least one job specifically commissioned by Megatron.
There were also the names of Decepticons, confirming her neutrality but her Autobot employers on these events would definitely not be happy if it got out that they had hired a Bounty Hunter to violently eliminate a training camp.
There were a handful of what were listed as 'partially failed', but this was purely because Marks had been taken in dead instead of alive.
She cleared her throat, "Sir?"

From a distance, Vos spectated the scenario before him. Hotwire was showing off what she had done, Shockwave was listening, and obviously scheming something behind his single optic. This is the Decepticons for you. There are the chatty, mouthy type, and then there are a handful of people who watch from the sidelines, waiting for orders or scheming on their own, and then finally the leader, who's stuck, like everyone else, to listening to the gabbers and must come up with more plans on counter attacks to the Autobots. It's a cycle. Vos mused to himself. He found it mildly amusing the vehicon nodded back, even though they did not know each other.
Vos let none of his thoughts give indications on what his body language indicated, and he gave a small cock of his helm as he spotted the bone Shockwave had on his person. The commander was full of surprises. Vos was a bit disgraced by the fact that no other member was showing up, even though in his view the DJD should have been the most loyal sub faction that ever was. Vos was a bit glad that he had come. Vos decided he would watch what Hotwire did, since she seemed so desperate to gain Shockwave's approval. It was amusing, to see someone like a bounty hunter try to gain a good footing with the future leader. She had no true loyalties, no reputation except from 'effective' bounty hunter, and she really had no place on the Nemesis. The more Vos contemplated about it, the more he didn't think eh bounty hunter was where she belonged.
"Do you recall lockdown vehicon? A bounty hunter as well, and though he gave the Decepticons some valuable mechs and femmes to torture and pry information from---he never truly was where he belonged." Vos mumbled in a very quiet whisper to the vehicon beside him. It was such a whisper that no one else would hear it, and so low perhaps the vehicon may not be able to hear it. Vosses 'face' was stationed straight forward, so that it gave no implication he had just whispered some twisted words in ancient cybertronian to the vehicon beside him, who seemed to be the openly other loyalist in the room.

Stalaken continued to watch as the bounty hunter talked to his leader. Trying to show off some of her pathetic accomplishments. Anyone can kill or capture mechs. But only the good ones do it for other people, not themselves. Stalaken held even Autobot soldiers above bounty hunters. For they fought for their faction and are willing to die for it, while bounty hunters were just a bunch of greedy scrap piles. As these thoughts went through Stalakens mind Vos did the unspeakable, he spoke to Stalaken. Vos's question rang through Stalaken helm.
Now what do I do? Scarp! Hes not suposed to talk to me. Just act normal, just act like you do this every day.
Without missing a beat Stalaken slightly turned his helm to Vos and said a very simple phrase,
" Yes, Sir."
Stalaken did indeed agree with what Vos said. Lockdown was a very nice asset but when it came down to it. Everyone needs their place. And being a bounty hunter just wont cut it sometimes.

A comm frequency is sent, transmitting through the main control room's speakers of a high toned voice.
Come in! This is Starscream speaking. I require an immediate groundbridge at my location now.

Shockwave was far from impressed on the results, many disappointingly were labeled as failures. However, he did not expect for Megatron himself to actually give the time on commissioning her as an employee. Overall in the analyzing, he placed this is an average mercenary, just enough at a level where he would not turn on restraining her in his lab. His biggest concern was that she must lacked the equipment of keeping her targets alive. He was attending on actually capturing some Autobots, more in particularly, high ranks so that he could reprogram them to believe they lived an altered life as a Decepticon. It would surely build up their military infrastructure. Having seen enough, the purple mech removed the disk, reaching it over to Hotwire to grab. Staying silent, he made a swift nod of acceptance of her duties. She would have to be careful, someone like him wasn't easily satisfied, especially if it went against his logistics.
Sensors intercepted a comm, picking up a familiar voice. Starscream, it seemed his assumption was invalid, he was alive. Trundling over to the controls, he located his coordinates, opening a groundbridge.
"A groundbridge has been sent to your coordinates, Starscream."

"Thankyou, boss," Hotwire inclined her head as a vague sign of respect, although her voice had all the respect of 'Sup, Homie?!' "You will find that the Autobots will sorely regret not hiring me first."
It was a pretty lousy definition of loyalty, but it was as close as Shockwave was likely to get.

Even from a distance inside the portal, the sounds of an F-15's engine could clearly be heard howling through the air, its roar would only get louder the close he flew in, finally exiting the groundbridge, transforming to land down with his pedes, having a servo placed on the ground to stop himself from sliding to far. His yellow cockpit slide open, releasing the cassette player that was Soundwave himself. Straightening up to his upper posture, Starscream scanned the entire room, trying to hold a chuckle. This was suppose to be his coronation? Some femme bot, Vos and a bunch of vehicons, it was laughable really. Poor one optic mech, seemed as if no one cared if he was the leader, but as if it mattered, in his optics, Shockwave was a pretender to the throne, of course he wasn't going to say that, or he'd never regain himself to more a favorable position. Approaching Shockwave, Starscream formed a smirk, kneeing down, sarcastically bowing before him.
Oh glorious mighty Shockwave, I live to serve you.

Hotwire looked at Starscream. Obviously she'd never met the Seeker, whose abilities managed to outweigh his lust for power, but she knew of him.
Grovelling syctophants like him were disgusting. Of course, he didn't exactly hide his sarcasm.
She couldn't help herself. She replied, even though he wasn't speaking to her, "Of course you do."

As the Seeker's cockpit was opened, the tiny form of a Human's cassette player flew out. Arching over towards the ground beside Starscream, the player suddenly grew, gaining mass at a surprising rate and unfolding into the cubical Decepticon. Reaching 25ft with two thuds of pedals landing against the ground, the dark blue mech's visor beamed into life as it was activated. Lifting his gaze from the blank stare he'd found himself in, Soundwave panned his helm slowly across and took in the many features present in the dark lighting. Shifting his gaze to the small group of Decepticons before him, he noted one of the DJD members as well as an unknown femme. Flicking his optics across to the main mech in the room, whom was currently being bowed to. Turning on the spot slightly to face the one eyed scientist, Soundwave voiced himself with his usual mix-tape voice.
Shockwave, I have arrived to aid the Decepticons in purging the Autobot threat here. I was informed of your leadership by a mech called, ''Backbeat''. Where is Megatron?
While he was pleased with Shockwave taking command, Primus only knows what would have happened if the Constructicons had gotten here first, he was still very curious as to why Megatron was not over seeing this himself. Had he entrusted the mission to Shockwave while he attended to problems off world? Answers, that's all he required in order to function as an efficient member of this army.

Vos suppressed a sigh, as the vehicon beside him answered in the most basic way. Vos was glad to know that this trooper wasn't the type who would think beyond the borders, unlike some other vehicons he knew. The wiry mech kept his red optics keened on Shockwave, though behind the mask Vosses abyss like optics analyzed the new arrivals, and began to categorize them for the fun of it.
There was Starscream, who would be joining the bounty hunter in the talkative group, there was Soundwave, one of the most loyal if not the loyalest Decepticon who had ever come into existence. The first member of the Decepticons, and first follower of Megatron himself. Vos was not too surprised by the mech's choice of words, since as he had previously reviewed with himself, Soundwave was one of the loyalists in the room. No doubt if Megatron would come through, Soundwave along with everyone else would bow. Starscream would as well, and mutter flattering words of greeting.
Vos stood where he was though, but one small project he did starting to sharpen one of his blades on his fore-arm, making sure it was in perfect condition. "In both heaven and Earth, There is a season to kill." Was carved on the blade, Vosses own craftsmanship. The mech kept watching the group from the shadows, not bothering to give any of his input on anything yet. He knew the answer to Soundwave's question, but he had to been addressed, and hence would not speak. Vos recalled a small project he had been up to, and then sheathed the knife and pulled out his control, checking up on his nano droids. Vos never gave any indication wither his little scheme was working or not, but if everything did keep going at the pace it was, then it would be score one for the Decepticons.

Hotwire watched the arrival of the Decepticon's Communications Officer with interest. Another high-ranker she had never met - and just like Starscream and Shockwave, he had a huge price on his head from the Autobots. Not that attacking him was easy, and while on the Nemesis it was just plain suicidal.
In any case, she'd just sold over to job for Shockwave.
Soundwave was probably the most loyal of Megatron's troops. Moreso than Shockwave, moreso than the entire DJD. He probably slept with Megatron bedsheets.
She doubted he would ever fully accept Shockwave as 'leader', even if Megatron's corpse was recovered, but he would always be loyal to the Decepticon Cause, no matter what it was this week.
